According to the books of the Gospel, the same Jesus Christ equally made clear through direct word — figures of speech included — that He was sent by His Father only to the bloodline of Jacob.

⚉ In Matthew 7 vs. 6, Jesus Christ of Israel openly warned His followers against giving what is Holy to the dogs — non-Israelites— declaring the dogs incapable of handling that which is Holy — they are unqualified to do so.
⚉ In Matthew 10 vs. 1 - 6, when Jesus Christ of Israel had the opportunity to send His disciples out to announce the Kingdom of God, He sent them only to the Israelites.
⚉ Then, in Matthew 28 vs. 16-20 and Mark 16 s 15 - 18, applying the same metonymy he had earlier used, Jesus Christ of Israel dispersed His followers into the World which He had previously described to His followers.
⚉ To seal it all, in Luke 24, Jesus Christ proclaimed that His Word is Everlasting meaning it can never be changed ---- not by Him, or any human being even after He is dead and gone.

YHWH bestowed on Himself the title of "God of Israel", and this as He gave the name "Israel" only to the man named Jacob. Jesus Christ of Israel, himself a descendant of the bloodline of Jacob who is called Israel, NEVER indicated that He was sent to or came to save non-Israelites. The lie that He did was fabricated entirely by those of the religions of Christianity and Islam.

Isa.49.6 He says, "You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."

The New Testament is based on hearsays mostly as Jesus was not involved at all in its development. It was developed decades after Jesus. If you were told to write down the life story of your dad as you are now you will only be able to write what you witnessed especially when grown!

Those disciple met Jesus when he was about 30 years. It was clear they did incorporate hearsays as evident in what Luke said in Luke 1:1-4.

whether they incorporated hear says or not it doesn't invalidate the gospel. People remember things differently which proofs such a thing actually occurred. If you ask 100 different people about a particular incident they will answer you based on their perspective and memory.

I however completely disagree with Pst Biodun. In Gen 1, He created male and female in His own image.

Biodun must be careful in making statements which are against those of Jesus. Saying women were not initially in God’s plans paints God as anti women and not all-knowing! He should understand that doctrine is not built with one verse . He should also understand that what God the Son said supersedes any other account in Genesis 2 . I would advise he publicly retracts that statement as such is not healthy for our society!

It's surprising what some say concerning women, it's almost like they forget they had mothers and it maybe because of their own relationship with their mothers and women in general that make some say what they do. But I see it an inspiration from the devil, who seems to hate women, most especially daughters of God.

If God creating the woman to solve a problem is an evidence of afterthought then Adam also should be an after thought, after all, God saw the need for one to work the ground so he formed Adam from the dust to do so.

The record of God's own words says, that Adam wasn't good as he was. So the woman should be seen as a solution to the state in which God proclaimed Adam to be.

Sir, I read this verses and I have a question how can salvation be a gift and I have to work my salvation out with fear and trembling?

The building was not God's will nor to God's glory.

God wanted people to spread over the earth and not stay in one place.

Is the New Testament required to be believed in for salvation in Christianity?

In other words, can someone be a believing Christian without having need for, or being dependent on the New Testament? Can someone reject it and yet, still be saved? This is effectively how the earliest Christians lived, without a New Testament. Some have tried to respond with the following passages:

*“Repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15)
*“believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31)

These verses do not answer my question. What these verses teach is that you should believe in the good news, but it does not require belief in this or that or any other Gospel. The authors of Mark, over its centuries of development, never emended the text to say, “repent and believe in this gospel,” there’s a reason for that, the verse is conveying the point that it’s good to believe in what Jesus brought, i.e. his message, not the documents written by people decades later who never knew him. Rather, what is emphasized for belief is in him, Jesus, not any written work by any man. That’s the point I’m trying to make here. There is no requirement to believe in the New Testament as God’s inspired revelation to be saved in Christianity. Consider for a moment, this very important passage:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV).

It’s useful for lots of things, except for salvation. This passage does not state that belief in scripture is a requirement to be saved. Scripture is useful for many things, but it’s not a requirement. It’s like the difference between having an umbrella in the rain and not having one. Sure, the umbrella is useful and it is good for many things when it’s raining, but it’s not a necessity or requirement for when you’re going into the outside world. This is the distinction between something’s usefulness and it’s necessity, one is clearly not the other.

So then, the question begs itself, doesn’t it? Do you require the canonized and codified New Testament, to be believed in, as a requirement for your salvation in Christianity? The earliest Christians did not seem to think so, so why do you?

The new testament is based on the words and teachings of Jesus which they learnt and taught others, having a record of those teachings in the present day is a blessing but even if we didn't we have the Holy Spirit to teach us all things.

The early church heard the teachings of Jesus either directly or from those who heard them directly and they used scriptures to verify and show that Jesus is indeed the Messiah promised by God. Scripture has always been what is referred to as the old testament or the Tanakh. The scripture reveal Jesus, while the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. So while scripture cannot save you, the gospel can.

When you believe in God's word through his son Jesus Christ, you obey it and follow it. The issue is when men place their faith in documents and in letters rather than in God and follow His Spirit that He has sent to us.

Being like Christ doesn't mean been zealous for the law and it's benefits, no matter how great or organized it may seem, should we disobey God who tells us to listen to Jesus even in the presence of the law and prophets, when He could have said listen to all of them like Peter's 3 tents would suggest?

Paul once thought all those things were so very important, but now he considered them worthless because of what Christ has done. And yet there are those who consider such things valuable to gaining prosperity, popularity and acceptance, so they preach and practice it and persecute those who don't or who speak against it.

You know, Paul was set up a few times because what he preached was against what they believed, and even with such a disadvantage and lack of benefits that he once enjoyed when he was with them, Paul writes

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I may have Christ and become one with him. How many of us consider knowing Jesus more valuable than what we may have gained if we didn't know him and forsook all to follow him? This would obviously sound strange to those who believe they follow Jesus without a cross but understandable to those who actually do. The cost of knowing Jesus, following him, being his discipline and being like him may discourage some but it is worth it.

Someone asks you what drives you, can you grab them and shout

Unfortunately there are those who see themselves as a god and even treat themselves as such, such a mindset is reflected in their reaction against suffering nor sacrificing themselves for others. Listen what we believe affects how we behave. If God wants you to die for your brethren would you? To see yourself as nothing and others better than you, it is because you understand that God being in us and using us doesn't make us equal with Him even though we are one with Him. Infact the proof that God is in us and that we are like Christ is the humility to do God's will even when there are no physical blessings attached to it. But know that has God rewarded Jesus, He will reward us and we will then gain.

For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him.
In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of crooked and perverse people. Let your lives shine brightly before them.

It is God and His power that enables us to be like Christ, knowing this should enable us to be humble and merciful to others.

Paul had that mind of Christ, to be like Christ, ready to suffer and sacrifice, did he suffer because he was lazy or uneducated, no, but because there were those who hindered and didn't support the spread of the gospel through him. Same with Timothy who almost died.

Do we truly understand what really matters, do we truly know what is best, that because Christ is in us, the good things expected to come from our lives is righteousness. Is your expectation for having Christ in you that good things should come to you? Our expectations should be for good to come from us.

For I live in eager expectation and hope that I will never do anything that causes me shame, but that I will always be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past, and that my life will always honor Christ, whether I live or I die.
For to me, living is for Christ, and dying is even better. Yet if I live, that means fruitful service for Christ. I really don't know which is better. I'm torn between two desires: Sometimes I want to live, and sometimes I long to go and be with Christ. That would be far better for me. but it is better for you that I live.

Our expectations in life will affect our reactions to the things we experience in life. When we understand that being like Christ is us realizing that our only gain is to die in God's will and not considering what to gain while we live, our expectations will align with God's word.

To some it is hard to accept such a fate that gives up on this life for the hope of an eternal one, but we are called to such hope and lifestyle. But when you begin to compare yourself with those who live to gain in this world, you would feel discouraged and intimated, you won't even be able to confess boldly what you believe.

Don't be intimidated by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself.
For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.

So being like Christ requires us to not only believe in him but to suffer for him, if you are unaware that Jesus tells us to pick up our cross and follow him, it's either you didn't read the gospel or you were only told part of the gospel that tells you to believe and to some, they may have been taught to believe for their own earthly benefits. Our call to suffer is why a comforter was sent to us, and our suffering should be as a result of love, of loving one another.

Knowing the love of Christ is what leads to us be filled God's life and power. Ephesians teaches me to live in his love, submit to it and speak according to it, this is what commands the power to live for God and resist the devil. If there is any secret to having God in us, to having the power of God at work in us, then it is our knowledge of what the love of Christ is.

Eph.3.16 - 19
I pray God strengthens you with power through His Spirit within you, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; so that you become rooted and grounded in love, being able to understand with all God's people the greatness and to know the exceeding knowledge of the love of Christ so that you may be full of God.

In Ephesians 1, Paul prays for the believers to receive the Spirit of wisdom and come to know and to understand God's promises and power because there is something this revelation from God does in us. So Paul continues the prayer in chapter 3 of his letter, that we may come to know and understand God's love in accepting us and for us to know God's plan, that through us, the church, God would reveal His wisdom to the principalities and powers according to His plan carried out through Jesus Christ.

And the only way for us to be full of God, to have boldness, and to be full of God's life and power is by how much we know and understand God's plan and His love for us through Christ.

You see the purpose of the power is to bring about our unity and the fruit of the spirit and that we in turn tell others about Jesus, about the knowledge of God's son.

He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ, until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ. Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or because someone has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth.

The rest is worth reading of things we are not expected to do as children of God and followers of Jesus Christ. Especially in what we say, immorality, anger, greed, lust and love for the things of the world things we are to have repented and follow Jesus. With a warning to ignore those who fool others that greed or worldly desires are okay. Instead Paul calls such people, who are covertous, idolaters who won't inherit God's Kingdom. Jesus said if we love him we would obey him, so we forsake all those things to follow him.

So as ministers our job is to preach God's way and teach you the truth in love, while praying that you come to know and understand it, so that you live life the way God wants and not be tossed into confusion by various different teachings and principles that go against hard work and honesty, packaged in ways that makes one more focused on what pleases them and what they want rather than God.

Eph.5.10-11Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, rebuke and expose them.

Eph.5.24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives must submit to your husbands in everything.

As we see, the example wives are to follow is our lives as believers which is expected of us that we submit to Jesus in everything. Not just submitting when it pleases us or goes accordingly to what we want and desire.

For if we are full of the Spirit and speak from the spirit our words and deeds would be true and reveal the love of God, what we say would agree with what Jesus said and says. And until we submit completely to God and put on His armor, we cannot and would not be able to resist the devil whom we should continually resist. When we desire things without seeking not submitting to God's will, we put ourselves at a disadvantage of resisting the devil.

So what is this love that you have to know;


Eph.1.3-14

How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we belong to Christ. Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the one(Jesus) he loves.


In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

God's secret plan has now been revealed to us; it is a plan centered on Christ, designed long ago according to his good pleasure. And this is his plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ--everything in heaven and on earth.

Furthermore, because of Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us from the beginning, and all things happen just as he decided long ago. God's purpose was that we who were the first to trust in Christ should praise our glorious God. And now you also have heard the truth, the gospel(Good News) that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us everything he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God.


If you do not understand this, then please ask, for to know this and to understand this love, is to have God's power. For this is the love of God through Christ that saves even little children.

So my husband was visited by his mother. My husband has a habit of praying at night. He began praying (not loud) at midnight. His mother who was in the other room rushed in and said "stop that, so something doesn't enter your mind."


There have been several instances where my mother in law has treated my husband like he is a stranger

One Christmas, my husband bought clothes for his mother — his mother rejected them, "they are not quality, why don't you use them yourself?"

She is used to assassinating my husband's character to virtually everybody.

She is fond of speaking against the fact that my husband speaks in tongues, "always praying in tongues meanwhile it doesn't reflect in your life, even Satan won't listen to your prayers."

She is fond of casting aspersions at my husband "some people always read the Bible yet are very dirty"

My mother in-law has a son who has suffered epilepsy for 30 years now; my husband and his kinsmen have spent so much money on this epilepsy yet no cure. My mother periodically will recommend a new place for the healing of this epileptic but the monies will always go down the drain.

My husband has since resolved not to contribute to that epilepsy scheme again since he believes it is spiritual and a scheme to drain the family.

We once lived with her in my husband's late father's home where my mother in law also lived. My mother in law always picked quarrels with us including our little children, finally we parked out. The day we finally left, my mother-in law literally swept were our feet had touched with a broom.

My husband had a single room apartment in that compound that he gave out for rent. No tenant could live in that room. All tenants complained of strange and scary encounters at night in that room. When they all inquire, they are told that there is a spiritual dispute over ownership of that room between my husband and his mother. Eventually, my husband gave this keys to the room to his mother and now tenants can occupy the room.

All the other siblings of my husband are faced with serious life challenges and my mother in law has brainwashed all of them against my husband.
Kindly analyze this situation

Are these signs of witchcraft?

Do witches hate prayer?

Can a mother bewitch her own son?

you have referred to her more times as mother in law than your husband's mother, I thought he may not be her biological child.

By the way, witches are not beings you try to logically analyze, if witches in stories are said to eat their own children not sure we should expect a witch not to hate and hurt their children.

Asking if she is a witch, some people get bewitched and act like witches even though they themselves are not.

But from you write up it is clear you are dealing with forces of wickedness be it in the woman or from elsewhere.

Any advice, well pray, you both should ask God for mercy and deliverance for your family. Because if God destroys stronghold of wickedness lives and souls would be saved, even the siblings and possibly mother in law may repent and be saved as well. You can add fasting and charity to it.

Some people called it night vigil, or night watch. Vigil actually means to watch and be alert.

And so let us use the word all night long watching and praying for a particular purpose or a specific event. Whatever must have kept you awoken at night to intercede isn't our subject of discussion, neither the name it's called.

The question we seek to answer is why the night watch or vigil are held on Fridays mostly.

The question is, is it because it is the end of the week, or TGIF formats, why is the night prayers held on Fridays??

For us we believe it's the beginning of the Sabbath day, because you remember that the Sabbath day is on Saturday, the 7th day, the complete circle of the days. The day begins on Sunday and ends up at Saturday.

And so from Friday prayers cumulating on Saturday Sabbath day. In the right order, from the beginning, the prayers should have continued till the end of the Sabbath, but they end up so quickly and go home without celebrating the real rest from the Friday toils and troubles.
