If God creating the woman to solve a problem is an evidence of afterthought then Adam also should be an after thought, after all, God saw the need for one to work the ground so he formed Adam from the dust to do so. The record of God's own words says, that Adam wasn't good as he was. So the woman should be seen as a solution to the state in which God proclaimed Adam to be. |

The building was not God's will nor to God's glory. God wanted people to spread over the earth and not stay in one place. Anyway people packing into one place isn't necessarily a good thing, crimes and other problems increase as well with high saturated population. With all the land upon the earth people fight and kill for a piece of land they believe to have more valuable than the rest. |

So while scripture cannot save you, the gospel can. When you believe in God's word through his son Jesus Christ, you obey it and follow it. The issue is when men place their faith in documents and in letters rather than in God and follow His Spirit that He has sent to us. |

Phil.3.2-3 Watch out for those dogs, those wicked men and their evil deeds, those mutilators who say you must be circumcised to be saved. For we who worship God in the Spirit are the only ones who are truly circumcised. We put no confidence in human effort. Instead, we boast about what Christ Jesus has done for us. Being like Christ doesn't mean been zealous for the law and it's benefits, no matter how great or organized it may seem, should we disobey God who tells us to listen to Jesus even in the presence of the law and prophets, when He could have said listen to all of them like Peter's 3 tents would suggest? You may tell yourself you cannot leave because you will lose a lot. Paul wrote. Phil.3.7 But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. Paul once thought all those things were so very important, but now he considered them worthless because of what Christ has done. And yet there are those who consider such things valuable to gaining prosperity, popularity and acceptance, so they preach and practice it and persecute those who don't or who speak against it. You know, Paul was set up a few times because what he preached was against what they believed, and even with such a disadvantage and lack of benefits that he once enjoyed when he was with them, Paul writes Phil.3.8 - 9 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I may have Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey God's law, but I trust Christ to save me. For God's way of making us right with himself depends on faith. How many of us consider knowing Jesus more valuable than what we may have gained if we didn't know him and forsook all to follow him? This would obviously sound strange to those who believe they follow Jesus without a cross but understandable to those who actually do. The cost of knowing Jesus, following him, being his discipline and being like him may discourage some but it is worth it. Someone asks you what drives you, can you grab them and shout THAT I MAY KNOW HIM AND THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION, AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERINGS, BEING CONFORMED TO HIS DEATH, IF, BY ANY MEANS, I MAY ATTAIN TO THE RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD. I would prefer to avoid Philippians 3:10-11 than to say it normally or casually. Phil.3.15 - 16 I hope all of you who are mature Christians will agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you. But we must be sure to obey the truth we have learned already. Being like Christ means coming to know him, to follow and obey him. Do you understand what we stand to gain even though we suffer in his name. Phil.3.18 - 21 For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Chris[/b]t. Their future is eternal destruction. [b]Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and all they think about is this life here on earth. Phil.2.1 - 4 Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and sympathetic? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one heart and purpose. Don't be selfish; don't live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself. Don't think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing. (So to have a humble mindset of ourselves just as even Jesus did.) In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped; but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,...(Philippians 2: 5 - 9) Unfortunately there are those who see themselves as a god and even treat themselves as such, such a mindset is reflected in their reaction against suffering nor sacrificing themselves for others. Listen what we believe affects how we behave. If God wants you to die for your brethren would you? To see yourself as nothing and others better than you, it is because you understand that God being in us and using us doesn't make us equal with Him even though we are one with Him. Infact the proof that God is in us and that we are like Christ is the humility to do God's will even when there are no physical blessings attached to it. But know that has God rewarded Jesus, He will reward us and we will then gain. 13 -16 For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him. In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of crooked and perverse people. Let your lives shine brightly before them. Hold tightly to the word of life, so that when Christ returns, I will be proud that I did not lose the race and that my work was not useless. It is God and His power that enables us to be like Christ, knowing this should enable us to be humble and merciful to others. Paul had that mind of Christ, to be like Christ, ready to suffer and sacrifice, did he suffer because he was lazy or uneducated, no, but because there were those who hindered and didn't support the spread of the gospel through him. Same with Timothy who almost died. They faced the opposition of religion and didn't relent. |

Is your expectation for having Christ in you that good things should come to you? Our expectations should be for good to come from us. For to me, living is for Christ, and dying is even better. Yet if I live, that means fruitful service for Christ. I really don't know which is better. I'm torn between two desires: Sometimes I want to live, and sometimes I long to go and be with Christ. That would be far better for me. but it is better for you that I live. Our expectations in life will affect our reactions to the things we experience in life. When we understand that being like Christ is us realizing that our only gain is to die in God's will and not considering what to gain while we live, our expectations will align with God's word. To some it is hard to accept such a fate that gives up on this life for the hope of an eternal one, but we are called to such hope and lifestyle. But when you begin to compare yourself with those who live to gain in this world, you would feel discouraged and intimated, you won't even be able to confess boldly what you believe. Phil.1.28-29 Don't be intimidated by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself. For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him. So being like Christ requires us to not only believe in him but to suffer for him, if you are unaware that Jesus tells us to pick up our cross and follow him, it's either you didn't read the gospel or you were only told part of the gospel that tells you to believe and to some, they may have been taught to believe for their own earthly benefits. Our call to suffer is why a comforter was sent to us, and our suffering should be as a result of love, of loving one another. |

Knowing the love of Christ is what leads to us be filled God's life and power. Ephesians teaches me to live in his love, submit to it and speak according to it, this is what commands the power to live for God and resist the devil. If there is any secret to having God in us, to having the power of God at work in us, then it is our knowledge of what the love of Christ is. Eph.3.16 - 19 I pray God strengthens you with power through His Spirit within you, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; so that you become rooted and grounded in love, being able to understand with all God's people the greatness and to know the exceeding knowledge of the love of Christ so that you may be full of God. In Ephesians 1, Paul prays for the believers to receive the Spirit of wisdom and come to know and to understand God's promises and power because there is something this revelation from God does in us. So Paul continues the prayer in chapter 3 of his letter, that we may come to know and understand God's love in accepting us and for us to know God's plan, that through us, the church, God would reveal His wisdom to the principalities and powers according to His plan carried out through Jesus Christ. And the only way for us to be full of God, to have boldness, and to be full of God's life and power is by how much we know and understand God's plan and His love for us through Christ. You see the purpose of the power is to bring about our unity and the fruit of the spirit and that we in turn tell others about Jesus, about the knowledge of God's son. Eph.4.11 - 15 He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ, until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ. Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or because someone has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth. Instead, we will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. The rest is worth reading of things we are not expected to do as children of God and followers of Jesus Christ. Especially in what we say, immorality, anger, greed, lust and love for the things of the world things we are to have repented and follow Jesus. With a warning to ignore those who fool others that greed or worldly desires are okay. Instead Paul calls such people, who are covertous, idolaters who won't inherit God's Kingdom. Jesus said if we love him we would obey him, so we forsake all those things to follow him. So as ministers our job is to preach God's way and teach you the truth in love, while praying that you come to know and understand it, so that you live life the way God wants and not be tossed into confusion by various different teachings and principles that go against hard work and honesty, packaged in ways that makes one more focused on what pleases them and what they want rather than God. Eph.5.10-11Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, rebuke and expose them. A knowledge and understanding that brings us complete and perfect submission to God. Eph.5.24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives must submit to your husbands in everything. As we see, the example wives are to follow is our lives as believers which is expected of us that we submit to Jesus in everything. Not just submitting when it pleases us or goes accordingly to what we want and desire. For if we are full of the Spirit and speak from the spirit our words and deeds would be true and reveal the love of God, what we say would agree with what Jesus said and says. And until we submit completely to God and put on His armor, we cannot and would not be able to resist the devil whom we should continually resist. When we desire things without seeking not submitting to God's will, we put ourselves at a disadvantage of resisting the devil. So what is this love that you have to know; Eph.1.3-14 How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we belong to Christ. Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the one(Jesus) he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. God's secret plan has now been revealed to us; it is a plan centered on Christ, designed long ago according to his good pleasure. And this is his plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ--everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because of Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us from the beginning, and all things happen just as he decided long ago. God's purpose was that we who were the first to trust in Christ should praise our glorious God. And now you also have heard the truth, the gospel(Good News) that God saves you. Nicenancy:you have referred to her more times as mother in law than your husband's mother, I thought he may not be her biological child. By the way, witches are not beings you try to logically analyze, if witches in stories are said to eat their own children not sure we should expect a witch not to hate and hurt their children. Asking if she is a witch, some people get bewitched and act like witches even though they themselves are not. But from you write up it is clear you are dealing with forces of wickedness be it in the woman or from elsewhere. Any advice, well pray, you both should ask God for mercy and deliverance for your family. Because if God destroys stronghold of wickedness lives and souls would be saved, even the siblings and possibly mother in law may repent and be saved as well. You can add fasting and charity to it. |
