If God wants to give you a taste of death so that you value life, what better way than to create an agent that brings death in the first place through his own pride and sin, as a vessel into destruction as a warning to those who wish to follow same route of pride and sin.

There's no point blaming God or Satan, when the responsibility of the choices you make belong to you, Satan won't be punished for you falling his temptation. God tells us what to do, Satan says otherwise, and you are judged for whom you decide to follow, follow God's word you have life, follow Satan it means you choose not to live.

Eternal life cannot be forced on anyone, do you think God wants to force his children to serve him forever, they have to be willing and obedient meaning they have to overcome temptation to be unwilling, disobedient and etc

Am not in support of the pay cos it low even as that then but on the other hand some pastor preside over churches that the members aren't up to 30 people.

for me o, both translations of the John1:1 are wrong, one is trying to show that the word is the same God and the other is trying to show the word is another God, whereas that is neither the intent of John nor what he wrote as one reads more of what John writes.

By the way, why are you people arguing if there are contradictions or if contradictions are errors.

Like if there is an original text and later copies deviate from it, that's a contradiction and an error, be it by coping or by interpreting. And usually when it doesn't align with what God has been saying and revealing. Infact this later one is one of the main reasons some books are not in the Tanakh even though some claim they are from God, books like Enoch. And even that book quoted in the bible, Jasher, it's a wonderful read as well but it's also record which may have been twerked by some people over time, who knows. But the main consistency and purpose of the scriptures which is to reveal Christ and call men to repentance has served it's purpose and that's why Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to teach us, and not a book

there was one someone asked here on Nairaland about the wives of Esau, which he felt was a contradiction due to interpretation till I clarified it. Because to him the names mentioned previously were different from the ones mentioned after.

There was another about the name of the Messiah in Isaiah 7, where the Septuagint and Masoretic translations were different in interpretation and gave different meaning of the text.

There is also Job's friends like I mentioned.

Then there are some records which are said to have been added or edited which makes the Jewish calendar of in 5,000 something something meanwhile it should be 6,000 something something.


Erm which one again, can I remember now self, any ALL the ones you will find even online are like I said due to translation or misinterpretion of the text, or misunderstanding. I think there was one about king reign duration or age, and another about the names of priests and the like, some say this some say that. And this issue is usually associated with the Ezra-Nehemiah returnees record and book they are said to have written chronicles, 🤔


Honestly apart from all this, none of what is recorded as what God said was debated to be contradictory or false.

Then when we look at the new testament, where more examples are, we have Matthews few quotes that are not directly referenced, but not contradictory. Same with author of Hebrews mentioned the altar of incense at the most holy place inside of holy place

And other minor errors which most don't take seriously because it's like they were writing it from memory and what they had been taught by the teachers of the law.

Then the differences in the gospel accounts, as well, which shows Luke actually did his own research and didn't copy Matthew, Mark probably wrote what Peter and co remembered and human memory isn't as strong as we want it to be. Then Matthew who may have kept notes as a tax collector wrote his gospel account. Now some parts of Mark were said to be added later on, that's the ending part and the story of woman caught in adultery in John was said not to be in some gospels.

The Father word and holy Ghost are one in 1 John was actually proven by much scholars to be added to the original texts.

The fact he denies those whom God certifies is proof of the effects of wrong doctrine and teachings. It means to say that Elijah and Moses that appeared to Jesus were not Spirits.

He then ignores the book of revelation where the proclamation is that Jesus redeemed ALL of them, both the 24elders o, the angels o, those who were in paradise o, all of them and they also became the kingdom of God. One kingdom.

If you understood that all who are born of woman, John is the greatest and those who are in the Kingdom of God are born of the spirit and are spirits. You would know the answer but has you didn't, would you even understand that no matter how great any man is he can never be as great as the least person in the kingdom of God.

Our greatest on earth doesn't automatically translate or equate to those who have been born of the spirit.

And because of Jesus, they too have been redeemed and purchased by his blood, making them the kingdom of God and Christ the king.

Listen if you can hear, for in the scriptures it was a promise and now it was good news as it's fulfillment which began from the days of John, but like verse 15 where Jesus said hear and understand, do you understand?

Do you understand why John was the Elijah which was to come, do you understand why Abraham waited to see the day of the LORD and shouted for joy.
