richmond500:lol you sound like the blacks were the first ever to be enslaved. People were enslaved during the time of Abraham, during the time of Israel and even during the time of Jesus. You said God's selective judgement, but you can't deny that God punished and judged the same Israel. I asked you for the proof that God is unfair and you mentioned blacks? Was all of Nigeria shipped and enslaved? Do you think those who are in Britain now want to come back to Nigeria? You sold yourselves to slavery for material things, shouldn't those who sold their brothers and sisters also be punished as well? You now write that it God had any sympathy at all he would not have hardened Pharaoh's heart. Were you the one who made Pharaoh? God hardens the heart of the wicked who refuse to be merciful so that they themselves do not plead for His mercy. Why should God prevent them from pleading to Him if He is as you put it, unsympathetic and wicked? If you do wicked things and refuse to repent from them when mercy is available but continue to enjoy raping and stealing from others, accusing them and hurting them, do you think it is fair for God to let such an unrepentant person escape the consequences of his wickedness. You keep speaking of God's fairness and sympathy but ignore that God is just as He is merciful. Where were you when God forgave Nineveh who chose to listen and repent. After God paid Egypt for there wickedness and Israel left with a mighty hand, was it not Pharaoh's own people that persuaded him to pursue and perish at sea. Was the split sea not enough to convince him of his foolishness. Come to think of it. If God is that dangerous to harden a man's heart unto his destruction then what about you 🥺 |
No OneOnland:Zech.3.1 - Then the angel showed me Jeshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD. Satan was there at the angel's right hand, accusing Jeshua of many things. Zech.3.2 - And the LORD said to Satan, "I, the LORD, reject your accusations, Satan. Yes, the LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. This man is like a burning stick that has been snatched from a fire." |
richmond500:I said proof not more sentimental statements based on your own view. You said He feels no sympathy but it is written God felt sorry He let man live one earth because of his wickedness upon the face of the earth. You speak about Egypt who did not enslave a nation they conquered through war but those who dwelt with them because they were different from them, it's like enslaving a tribe through manual labor and politics. And then they went further to kill their children even when midwives refused to do so, the Egyptians were told to do so. But your offense is not on God's judgement upon Egypt for their wickedness but because hasn't judged every slave trader the same way then he is nepotic. Is God wrong to punish the wicked? No He isn't Did God not punish Israel for their wickedness? Yes He did So where is the proof of your "nepotism" |
Truthseeker10:so why not answer the question I asked you first? |
doffman:I wasn't the one you were discussing with but I will answer you. So let it not be an issue of refusing to answer you so please don't refuse to listen. God dwells above the heavens and Jesus is the way to Him. Those who have done well sleep in Shalom, some call it paradise some call it heaven, all waiting for the fulfillment of all of God's promises when even the heaven and the earth will pass away and a new world will come. I don't know what your confidence is, that you know I will never answer but if you already believe such a lie how can you accept the truth that I have actually answered you? |
richmond500:did God flood the earth because people did believe in him or because the wickedness of men were great upon the face of the earth? Look is it not better to prepare to defend yourself against God peradventure he does exist. At least have knowledge to accuse Him in case you meet Him after you did. Right? But when even on earth you lack knowledge how would you even survive a courtroom where the true record is? Did you not read that the tomb belonged to a rich man who used to bury Jesus? May God have mercy on those who taught you the Bible, did you ever truly listen to any reading of the Bible when you claimed you were indoctrinated? |
richmond500:first should you not proof he is a psychopath and a criminal like you have accused before discussing matters concerning judging Him to take responsibility |
richmond500:So because you can see the ocean does it mean you should jump into it? Even after you were told not to? You are suffering for a wrong choice as a result of disobedience. Was he ignorant of the repercussions? |
richmond500:If you read the Bible yourself would you not have come across this very passage Rev.12.10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Now I said READ READ PROPERLY which council are you taking about Job.1.6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan the Accuser came with them. They went to present themselves to God, and God asked Satan what he has been doing. So which or what council are you talking about? You left Christianity because you didn't see any sin that you committed that would make God create hell for you and torture you for eternity. Who told you God created hell for you? Are you evil and wicked? Do you hurt and hate without reason for your own self pleasure? Do you lie against others even when you know it hurts their feelings, probably because it makes you laugh? Do you promise a lady love then use and abuse her, then treat her like trash? One cannot be wicked and yet justify themselves as not been worth punishment? Does that make any sense to you? Is that the reasoning you used to set yourself free? To excuse yourself from the possible consequences of what you do to others? So God must be evil, or in your words "wicked, bloodlust psychopath" to punish those who practice and love evil? You don't see any sin? Are you righteous? Then why does God's wrath against the wicked bother you? |
richmond500:but you want me to read a whole thread? So you don't even know God nor what He said yet you claimed you were indoctrinated richmond500:And that you set yourself free by richmond500:And now when asked what does or who does God say He is? You still have no answer but you admit that you do not know. So who exactly did you contradict? |
richmond500:you haven't replied are you avoiding to pondering or showing us your reason that you used to set yourself free? gohf: |
Truthseeker10:should you not answer first since you were asked first? |
Truthseeker10:about what you believe? |
Truthseeker10:what do you believe? |
SonofElElyonRet:I agree with what you have written But Ps.51.11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. God's spirit has been holy from the beginning but the Holy spirit didn't dwell in men but came upon them under the old testament But we can't compare a gift that has been paid for and dwells in us, with one that can be taken away at any time due to sin |
Vinnie2000:if he falls asleep then why should that be a sin, who has he wronged? God or his neighbors? But if he becomes intoxicated and starts revealing secrets, abusing others and causing harm to others, obviously he has done wrong even though he was under the influence of alcohol of which he willing took. So he ought to APOLOGIZE and SEEK FORGIVENESS from everyone who hurt through his actions and carelessness. |
phemmyfour:but Ruke is right obedience isnt easy without faith. Isn't it faith that makes one willing to obey? And like he wrote, obedience is the evidence of one's faith, like James wrote in the new testament. |
phemmyfour:true, it takes faith for one to be right before God and do what is right even when it is difficult. |
doffman:those that came before Jesus believed that only God can provide the way back to Him and God did fulfilling the promise He spoke from the beginning that the seed of the woman will crush the head of the serpent. God sent His lamb that the righteous may be restored to life that they lost through the devil, but this time they receive eternal life. A promise that covers all who obey God and do what is right in His eyes. |
Jughead29:it is not a sin, is just that excess of it, is bad. Excess of sex self is bad it can even kill someone |
AbuTwins:Oga betrothal is an arrangement, bearing children to carry man's name was an obligation. Do you see God punishing anyone for refusing to marry someone else? Did God punish the man who refused Ruth before Boaz married her? Stop twisting scripture Mr. Abu |
Vinnie2000:Phil.4.5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 1Pet.4.3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: It is very clear na, EXCESS wine is wrong, if you take it in moderation and it doesn't control you and make you hurt and harm others you have not sinned |
AbuTwins:it is not, you don't bethrol a widow, no bride price would be paid, she already belongs to the family who paid for her. If such was betrothal, then Boaz should not have married Ruth. |
AbuTwins:which infidelity? who was she married to? Or you don't know what prostitution is again. Read what is actually written and stop making things up |
Happy Sunday, hope you showed enough love on Friday and still have enough for today 😊 |
Harry00:Gen.38.14 - 27 Tamar was aware that Shelah had grown up, but they had not called her to come and marry him. So she changed out of her widow's clothing and covered herself with a veil to disguise herself. Then she sat beside the road at the entrance to the village of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah. Judah noticed her as he went by and thought she was a prostitute, since her face was veiled. About three months later, word reached Judah that Tamar, his daughter-in-law, was pregnant as a result of prostitution. "Bring her out and burn her!" Judah shouted. But as they were taking her out to kill her, she sent this message to her father-in-law: "The man who owns this identification seal and walking stick is the father of my child. Do you recognize them?" Judah admitted that they were his and said, "She is more in the right than I am, because I didn't keep my promise to let her marry my son Shelah." But Judah never slept with Tamar again. In due season the time of Tamar's delivery arrived, and she had twin sons. |
drnoel:Lot is Onan? 🙄🤨😒 |
richmond500:Okay, Let's start with his intro and first point The devil who was the bad guy has never killed a single person, but God has tortured and killed many just because he felt like itfirst he defends the devil without proof, that he has never killed a single person, yet he will mention a story where he is given permission tp destroy all Job has but no permission to kill Job. The first cross examination would be, who wanted to kill and who went to kill. Or is this wrong? I'll give few points to support my claim why he is not real and if he is, then there is a bigger problem.I will read as much as possible but i believe there were responses in the same thread as well, were they not? Did you read their responses as well? Now his first point Point 1 Reading down to the book of Job, I noticed God actually went to Satan who was just chilling, placed a bet with the devil and asked him to torture Job and kill his children, I discussed this with someone and the person answered... "but God gave him ten folds of whatever he lost"... Like seriously? Giving me 10 children will just make up for the one you killed? I was not comfortable with the whole thing and felt this biblical God is egocentric and can just torture you cos he is bored. Now this is just his first point, can your answers convince me or anyone to continue reading? I ask you if you knew what God himself said? Do you? Now this is what is actually recorded please read it Job.1.6 - 12 One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan the Accuser came with them. "Where have you come from?" the LORD asked Satan. And Satan answered the LORD, "I have been going back and forth across the earth, watching everything that's going on." Then the LORD asked Satan, "Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth--a man of complete integrity. He fears God and will have nothing to do with evil." Satan replied to the LORD, "Yes, Job fears God, but not without good reason! You have always protected him and his home and his property from harm. You have made him prosperous in everything he does. Look how rich he is! But take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!" "All right, you may test him," the LORD said to Satan. "Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don't harm him physically." So Satan left the LORD's presence. Now ask yourself, the person writing that point 1, did they actually read or know what is written or were they purposely trying to deceive others. If some lies about something that can easily be verified it's either they are calling those who listen and believe them fools or they themselves are actually just blind trying to guide others. Ask yourself Did God actually go to Satan who was just chilling? Did God place a bet with the devil and asked him to torture Job and kill his children? Since you said you said you pondered and set yourself free, show us by your answer how you reason and set yourself free, please. It shouldn't be about what people say, or how they feel, he felt "this biblical God is egocentric and can just torture you cos he is bored." So from what is written and what he said and his feeling, please tell us and answer the questions I have asked as honest as you can. |
doffman:yes YHVH yod-hey-waw-hey |
doffman:it should be the one true God who created all |
richmond500:and what did God Himself say He is? If you set yourself free by pondering on issues that contradict God, then would you care to share one of those issues with us and the contradiction you found. |
sylve11:those under the new covenant which is made by the blood of Jesus. |
