So from your submission above, do you agree that God is responsible for the evil and suffering that affects both good and bad people in the world today?
if God is responsible for what you do, why would he judge you?

Are you saying now that God does not cause good people to suffer? Yes or no? Let me know if you've changed your mind.
Irrespective of your answer, explain the verse below.

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things"(Isaiah 45:7)
You can't find the rubbish?

Okay at least tell us what's on my mind in this explanation?

Isaiah was sending God's message to a foreign king, Cyrus, whom according to other scriptures in the Bible played a critical role in fulfilling prophecy concerning Israel. God choose him because of Israel, verse 4.

Isa.45.4 "And why have I called you for this work? It is for the sake of Jacob my servant, Israel my chosen one. I called you by name when you did not know me.

Cryus wasn't a Hebrew so he didn't know the God of Israel, but he obviously knew "other" gods and that's why the following verses seem like an introduction to him.

Read the verses 5-7 together

I am the LORD; there is no other God. I have prepared you, even though you do not know me, so all the world from east to west will know there is no other God. I am the LORD, and there is no other. I am the one who creates the light and makes the darkness. I am the one who sends good times and bad times. I, the LORD, am the one who does these things.

Cyrus was Persian, and like the Greeks they believed in many gods of which they took the ones who represented light and the one representing darkness and chaos as there highest ranking gods. Even among scientists they don't believe someone make the vast light and vast darkness.

God's introduction is this, first off, those are not gods there is only one God which is me Jehovah and I formed all those things you are taking as a god, everything that occurs is because of me, be it a storm at sea, draught or rain on land, there are no special gods for those things. I alone do them. It may be hard to believe that just one God does all of that, but that's the reason there is none like Him, the Almighty and that Cryus is the reason you should believe what He is telling you.

Isn't it even weirder that even those who claim God created all things, don't want to accept that God created darkness even when it was clearly stated in Genesis. The worse is, they begin to deny that God formed light as well, claiming light as always been from the beginning.

Whether you believe in Jesus the true light or Satan who is evil, know that both were created by God and both were given there rewards, Jesus eternal life and Satan death. Nether Jesus who DOESN'T claim to be a god but submits to God nor Satan who claims to be a god, are God.

From verse 8

"Rain down, you heavens, from above, And let the skies pour down righteousness; Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, And let righteousness spring up together. I, the LORD, have created it.

"Destruction is certain for those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot ever argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, `Stop, you are doing it wrong!' Does the pot exclaim, `How clumsy can you be!'
....

12. I am the one who made the earth and created people to live on it. With my hands I stretched out the heavens. All the millions of stars are at my command.

I will raise up Cyrus to fulfill my righteous purpose, and I will guide all his actions. He will restore my city and free my captive people--and not for a reward! I, the LORD Almighty, have spoken!" This is what the LORD says: "The Egyptians, Ethiopians, and Sabeans will be subject to you. They will come to you with all their merchandise, and it will all be yours. They will follow you as prisoners in chains. They will fall to their knees in front of you and say, `God is with you, and he is the only God.'"

But the LORD will save the people of Israel with eternal salvation. They will never again be humiliated and disgraced throughout everlasting ages.

For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. "I am the LORD," he says, "and there is no other.

I publicly proclaim bold promises. I do not whisper obscurities in some dark corner so no one can understand what I mean. And I did not tell the people of Israel to ask me for something I did not plan to give. I, the LORD, speak only what is true and right. "Gather together and come, you fugitives from surrounding nations. What fools they are who carry around their wooden idols and pray to gods that cannot save! Consult together, argue your case, and state your proofs that idol worship pays. Who made these things known long ago? What idol ever told you they would happen? Was it not I, the LORD? For there is no other God but me--a just God and a Savior--no, not one! Let all the world look to me for salvation! For I am God; there is no other.

Nope, they're not the same.
I had a discourse similar to this with a prominent JW here.

He drew an absolute statement from Jesus' words as regards "turning the left cheek" - oversimplified, and how those fighting wars are not christians!.

Along the line in my counter, I raised up the verses of revelation alluding to the fact that his prince of peace "Michael" fought a war in heaven then came to earth to preach ☮️ peace 🤕.

A simple contradiction in character was sufficient to show that Jesus was not Archangel Michael as they claim and also to make him see the fallacies he committed.

Jesus is not Michael!!!!!

Christianity EtcThe Truth Cannot Be Found Nor Understood From Chatgpt And Metaai by gohf(op): 2:44pm On Feb 12, 2025
I don't know much about this chatGPT and MetaAI but it should still be based on programming and made by humans, and from my little knowledge on programming then, it means it sources it's answer based on logic programmed into it and information provided by men.

It can only give you what was inputted into it. In those days when trying to program an app or design a circuit, it will only work not based on my desire but based on the parameters set into the machine or app I am using. It's a tool not a sentient being, whether we call it artificial intelligence or robots, they are work based on the structure layed inside of them.

My understanding of it may be wrong, I am no expert in that field but it's common sense that if you program 1+1 is 2, you should expect 2 as it's logical response from the information fed into it.

Now how can something not connected to the truth or not connected to some vast universal library of truth give you the truth?

Why would people even trust it with questions concerning God and faith?

There is something called revelation. I will also say, Jesus didn't give us a book, he sent us the Holy Spirit, and you can never know the truth if the one who knows it doesn't reveal it to you.

All the vsrses.....show me God caused an innocent and good person to suffer for doing nothing bad.
If you read it, you would not have asked "all verses"

If you did not understand something, you would have pointed it out from the answer I gave.

If an answer is already given and you repeat the question it can mean either you didn't read it or you didn't understand it. If you don't read it, it is either because you can't read or you choose not to read it, now which of these two should be a good enough reason to answer you again?

If you didn't understand it then tell me what and where you did not understand? This is what I asked you, but you are repeating, "show me God caused an innocent and good person to suffer for doing nothing bad."

Meaning you are ignoring the answer I have given you, what is the point of answering of you when you will ignore it 🤷 either you open you eyes and see that I have shown you already or you can continue being ignorant ignoring what was shown to you.
Christianity EtcThe Transfiguration And The Identity Of Christ by gohf(op): 1:20pm On Feb 12, 2025
When Moses and Elijah appeared before Jesus, the first thing they should have done if Jesus was the God of the old testament was to bow and worship Jesus as God but they didn't, infact they stood and spoke to Jesus like one would speak to a fellow. Now you may well say the disciples may have been asleep, now only Luke who records such obviously showed they were awake when Moses and Elijah appeared but slept off, and that's why there's no record of what the three were discussing.

The record of the transfiguration is such an important encounter that it verifies who Christ the son of the living God is. So, Let's read the account

Mark.9.1 And he said to them, "I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power."

This is understandable because Jesus said in John 3:3 it's those who are born again that see the kingdom of God. These ones are able to properly identify Jesus not just as a teacher but see him as Christ the King, or the anointed king from God and that is the purpose of those signs. So the revelation of who Jesus is, is for all who are born again and not just Peter, James and John.

Mark.9.2-5

Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John to the top of a mountain. No one else was there. As the men watched, Jesus' appearance changed, and his clothing became dazzling white, far whiter than any earthly process could ever make it.
Then Elijah and Moses appeared and began talking with Jesus. "Teacher, this is wonderful!" Peter exclaimed. "We will make three shrines--one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."

Ever wondered why Peter said to make three shrines or three tabernacles which represent three places for worship, as all three looked outworldly, possibly all shinning brightly, Now he spoke out of fear, because he didn't know what to make of what he was seeing but God who spoke from above helped clarify the vision before them..
let's look at another account before I continue?

In Luke 9, this occurs after Jesus asked the disciples, "who do people say I am?", and so from verse 18, we see that others in those days thought Jesus was John the Baptist or Elijah or some other prophet who had returned but then Jesus asked the disciples who had followed him and Peter said, you are the Christ from God. After which Jesus speaks to them about what he must go through as the Christ and the cost of following him as a disciple. Now while Luke writes 8days, the content doesn't change much

Luke.9.29 - 36
And as he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothing became dazzling white. Then two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared and began talking with Jesus.

They were glorious to see. And they were speaking of how he was about to fulfill God's plan by dying in Jerusalem. Peter and the others were very drowsy and had fallen asleep. Now they woke up and saw Jesus' glory and the two men standing with him. As Moses and Elijah were starting to leave, Peter, not even knowing what he was saying, blurted out, "Master, this is wonderful! We will make three shrines--one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
But even as he was saying this, a cloud came over them; and terror gripped them as it covered them.
Then a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, my Chosen One. Listen to him." When the voice faded away, Jesus was there alone. They didn't tell anyone what they had seen until long after this happened.

Same was recorded in Mark.9.7 Then a cloud came over them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son. Listen to him."

So in Luke we have Jesus had been praying and his face also shines and the only details they heard before they fell asleep was about the death of Jesus. And it was when they were about to leave that Peter waking up said in amazement, that they should make tents for them and the fear they felt was due to God's presence in the cloud that covered them. The more accounts we read the more we understand what probably happened and much more understand the message from it.

Which is listen to Jesus, not worship Jesus as a god but listen to him, because he is the one God loves and has chosen.

And what of in Matthew, we read more from chapter 17.5 - 13 about what happens after God's voice was heard

But even as he said it, a bright cloud came over them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son, and I am fully pleased with him. Listen to him."

The disciples were terrified and fell face down on the ground. Jesus came over and touched them. "Get up," he said, "don't be afraid." And when they looked, they saw only Jesus with them.

As they descended the mountain, Jesus commanded them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen until I, the Son of Man, have been raised from the dead."

His disciples asked, "Why do the teachers of religious law insist that Elijah must return before the Messiah comes?" Jesus replied, "Elijah is indeed coming first to set everything in order. But I tell you, he has already come, but he wasn't recognized, and he was badly mistreated. And soon the Son of Man will also suffer at their hands."Then the disciples realized he had been speaking of John the Baptist.

So they were still afraid after the voice left, till Jesus touched them and the reason others didn't knkw of this until after the resurrection was because of the instruction from Jesus. And in Matthew we see one very important revelation here because of a question they asked Jesus has they descended.

Why is Jesus being the son of God a revelation well, Jesus wasn't obviously calling himself the son of God but referred to himself as the son of man, almost as if the term son of God was a title left until after his resurrection where God glorifies him as His son.

Anyway that's not the question, the question is, "Why do the teachers of religious law insist that Elijah must return before the Messiah comes?"

And Jesus answer and their understanding pointed to John the Baptist. This is important because they had just seen Elijah appear and stand beside Jesus, by the way John the Baptist was already dead, so Jesus couldn't be either John TB nor Elijah like others said. This further provided proof that Jesus is the Messiah.

I can understand why some didn't believe John to be Elijah who was to come, well John didn't do any miracles unlike Elijah but there was one important thing Elijah did that John also did and that is who replaces them.

The teaching that Elijah proceeds the Messiah can only be understood that Elijah is used by God to anoint the one who is the Messiah.

I want us to consider that both Moses and Elijah who are seen as two of the greatest prophets in Israel both appoint a successor, as there is no other prophet recorded to have done so, infact if we are consider that Samuel anointed David as leader, you can even understand the association of Christ to the throne of David. David means beloved a term God called Jesus twice recorded in the gospels.

And when looking at the successors of Moses and Elijah, we have Joshua and Elisha. Joshua an identical name of Jesus, which was given by Moses who prophecied about the coming Messiah, a name meaning Jehovah is salvation and the Elisha, which means my God is salvation. Both reference to God, the Elohim, who is Jehovah as man's salvation.

It is worth studying the bible record of those two men, Joshua and Elisha. Elisha was not the promised prophet spoken of Moses even though no other prophet did miracles like he did. Infact apart from Isaiah God used to a time related miracle like Joshua did, not sure any other prophet did much miracles, their primary job was to speak what God said to his people.

Speaking of Isaiah, his name means salvation of Jehovah or Jehovah saves. The volume of his writing that is Messiah related is very high compared to others.

And so a prophet greater than all of them, greater than Abraham as well, baptized Jesus to fulfill scriptures and reveal once and for all the one true Christ, Jesus of Nazareth.

Are you saying that God is the one that causes innocent and good people to suffer and die?

Did God create the devil to do evil?
It is written in Gen.3.17-19, God said

And to Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate the fruit I told you not to eat, I have placed a curse on the ground. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it. It will grow thorns and thistles for you, though you will eat of its grains. All your life you will sweat to produce food, until your dying day. Then you will return to the ground from which you came. For you were made from dust, and to the dust you will return."

Peter wrote in 1Pet.2.19 - 23
For God is pleased with you when, for the sake of your conscience, you patiently endure unfair treatment. Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing right and are patient beneath the blows, God is pleased with you. This suffering is all part of what God has called you to. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps. He never sinned, and he never deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted. When he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.

And in 1Pet.4.1 - So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you are willing to suffer for Christ, you have decided to stop sinning. Instead, be very glad--because these trials will make you partners with Christ in his suffering, and afterward you will have the wonderful joy of sharing his glory when it is displayed to all the world. Be happy if you are insulted for being a Christian, for then the glorious Spirit of God will come upon you. If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people's affairs. But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his wonderful name! So if you are suffering according to God's will, keep on doing what is right, and trust yourself to the God who made you, for he will never fail you.

In Hebrews 12:7-8 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

For your second question, it is written in Ezek.28.12 - 17

"Son of man, weep for the king of Tyre. Give him this message from the Sovereign LORD: You were the perfection of wisdom and beauty. I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian. You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire. "You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you. Your great wealth filled you with violence, and you sinned. So I banished you from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian, from your place among the stones of fire. Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings.

Also in Isaiah 14:13-16
You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. Everyone there will stare at you and ask, `Can this be the one who shook the earth and the kingdoms of the world?"

Christianity EtcRe: Science And Faith Can They Coexist? by gohf: 11:31am On Feb 12, 2025
SadEast419:
Science and faith have often been seen as opposing forces, but many argue they can coexist. Science relies on empirical evidence and testable theories, while faith is based on belief and spirituality.

Some people see them as complementary—science explains the how of the universe, while faith addresses the why. For example, someone can believe in evolution while also believing that a higher power set everything in motion. Others argue that faith can inspire scientific inquiry, as many historical scientists were deeply religious.

On the flip side, some say science and faith are fundamentally incompatible because science demands proof, while faith requires belief without evidence. What do you think? Can they work together, or are they at odds? Can science and faith coexist?
Faith is evidence for things we don't yet see, Hebrews 11:1 an evidence that most scientists would not want to accept.

Faith leads to something man cannot do, that's salvation from death so how are they to test if it's true or not when dealing with death is beyond them.

Faith understands that God created all things, some scientists deny proof of God who created all based on their level of understanding what has been created. Faith looks above, science looks below, they both can't see the same except those few in science field who realize that below cannot exist without an above. Science deals with man while faith deals with God, science pleases men, faith pleases God. Science works for us, Faith is us working for God.

While both are existing, only one outlasts the other, and that's faith.

While Enosh's generation called upon the name of Jehovah, Cain and his sons built and designed, developed a science for themselves, blacksmiths, forgers and the like.

Noah built an ark based on faith

No invention of men survived the flood.

Science comes from our human senses, faith comes by hearing God's word.

Science builds our human civilization but faith leads us to God's nation.

The goal of science is knowledge and exploration but the goal of faith is love. Such knowledge from science puffs up but within love is humility and God gives grace to the humble.

If one has faith and makes use of science, they guide our exploration and invention in the right direction but when one lacks faith science becomes the chain that ties one down to the physical.

Christianity EtcRe: God Form The Light And Create Darkness, He Make Peace, And Create Evil. Isaiah 4 by gohf: 10:50am On Feb 12, 2025
Digitmktguru:
Please explain this Bible passsage from biblical concept wholistically"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things"(Isaiah 45:7)

Christianity EtcWhat Have You Gotten For Following Christ Jesus? by gohf(op): 5:13pm On Feb 11, 2025
If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care-- Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one heart and purpose. Don't be selfish nor have vain ambition, don't try to promote yourself by impressing others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself.

Don't think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The devil has blinded you.
😎 and Jesus opened my eyes 🤩

Then Jesus told him, "I have come to judge the world. I have come to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind."...
"If you were blind, you wouldn't be guilty," Jesus replied. "But you remain guilty because you claim you can see.

everybody is laughing at you, making mockery of yourself.
You are just pulling random scripture you know nothing of, thinking you are making any point.
God blesses you who are hated and excluded and mocked and cursed because you are identified with me, the Son of Man. "When that happens, rejoice! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were also treated that way by your ancestors. 😊

"But you are my witnesses, O Israel!" says the LORD. "And you are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God; there never has been and never will be. I am the LORD, and without me there is no savior. First I predicted your deliverance; I declared what I would do, and then I did it--I saved you. No foreign god has ever done this before. You are witnesses that I am the only God," says the LORD(YHVH). "From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can oppose what I do. No one can reverse my actions." Isaiah 43:10-13
