cptjacksparrow: Get your facts right, they did not leave Saraki's party, He left them in their party to join PDP and he lost. Talking about Lagos, it'll be hard to beat Tinubu in Lagos cos who amongst those in the opposition has the financial strength to face him, all the area boys they use to unleash terror in areas where they know will vote against them etc. God works in mysterious ways, he God has a plan which will manifest at the right time. Keep your fingers crossed. don't distort history, when saraki rejoined pdp after leaving APC, the guys in pdp who equally left APC when he joined, left the PDP again back to APC to plot his downfall. ok? local politics like we saw in edo kicked saraki out too. So if it's hard to beat Tinubu in elections, how else do you want him out? You are waiting for God to finish him by thunder or fire. Bros if the Kwara people waited for God, saraki will not be out o, likewise the Edo people. Money is not everything, it's about strategy and better alternatives you think you can offer. Just admit you can't match the man in grassroots politics and laziness cannot achieve that. Most of you shouting are not even members of any political party, na social media be una party |

The collective will of Edo people brought in Oshiomole and disgraced him when he wanted to become what they destroyed. Nigerians have seen how Tinubu controls Lagos. Even Buhari as a president is not that overbearing . The same collective will of Nigerians will show Tinubu that Nigeria is bigger than Lagos. #9jaBigPassLagos# oga so Buhari no be problem again, na tinubu now haba make una no dey lie too much na, talk true if Buhari resign, una no go happy? |

No way he calculated it through lets wait and see Obaseki in PDP till 2024 that is if rapture does not visit the world Obaseki should stay in PDP and build the party, that's how great politicians evolve. Those wanting him back in APC don't mean well for him, they will mess him up at the end of the day. This is why not many take politicians like atiku, saraki, dino and their miserable likes serious |

Philipponzaghi: Nawa o.
All this people fear Tinubu so much because you always hate what you fear!
Obasanjo Jonathan Saraki Dino Atiku
Edo election is just a signal that politics is local. The people used their power to fight against Oshiomhole and Obaseki was able to bank on that so what is the noise from these guys?
They always say winning attracts lot of enemies, Tinubu is a proof to that statement! very true and you cannot attract what you hate in others, reason they can't produce suave politicians like tinubu, awolowo and co, their most hated yoruba politicians. It's a testimony to the fact that sw produces very brilliant politicians. Social media agog just because of one man. I doff my hat for Oshiomhole, he too is a fighter as he still delivered edo north despite the weight of the deputy governor. No worries, these guys will be more appreciated much later in the future by the same people dissing them now. It was same thing in those days of Awolowo who has hated even in yoruba land too. That's how we are in Africa. |

okuta007: I sincerely believe Obaseki will return to his private life after his tenure is completed - the man is not a natural politician - He is an investment banker - I see him expanding his business by venturing into new sectors and probably working with Dangote since they are friends - He wont be in politics. He may accept ministerial appointment if the president considers him but I do not see him running from pillar to post running for office
That is the difference between someone who has a business or skill before politics - they easily retire to that business
Being a money market guy, he knows how to turn N2 Million to N10 Million in a year, he will just be fine in the private sector - The only person I know will continue politics is Shaibu - and because this Edo election is off cycle, he may have to run for Senate - challenging the current APC Senator in Edo North - and if he wins, he will have to leave office as deputy Governor one year short to the completion of his tenure in 2024
Shaibu should go to Senate and If I were Shaibu, I will use my office now as deputy governor to focus on my Senatorial district for the 2023 PDP Senatorial ticket - and it should be easy if he starts prep early. IF he doesn't go to Senate in 2023, then by 2024 - He will be without a job after Obaseki is done with his term and I have a feeling PDP will give the gubernatorial ticket to an Esan man in 2023. I WILL NOT ADVISE SHAIBU TO ATTEMPT SUCCEEDING OBASEKI - he should go to Senate first and once an Esan man is done with his 8 years then Shaibu can contest for Governor from Edo North - then he would have built a solid structure there, because Osho defeated him in Edo North last week, with 22,000 more votes so he has work to do if he has a future after being the deputy governor. this is laughable, you think these politicians are just in office to eat rice. I de laugh o in obj's voice. |

Mogabe lost his respect in Zimbabwe after he has over stayed his welcome. Oshiomole lost his relevance in Edo when he wanted to turn himself to am emperor same thing happened to saraki in kwara, same people who have turned themselves to semi gods in their respective states were instrumental to Saraki's defeat in Kwara, same fate awaits them one by one.
. is APC the only party in Lagos?, did Obaseki not move on to another party? what stops those dissatisfied in APC to truly test their popularity in other parties in Lagos. cptjacksparrow: Lagos is strategically located, that's why Lagos is prosperous, so many business men and women all over the world have a stake in Lagos. Hence, they cannot allow their businesses go down the drain. It is pertinent to note that in 2017 Lagos had a GDP of over $136 billion in 2017,accounts for over 60 percent of industrial and commercial ventures of Nigeria (not built by any politicians). A 2015 report by the Economist states that annually Lagos State generates $90 billion dollars in goods and services (not also influenced by any politician). If Lagos was a country its economy would be number 7 in Africa making it bigger than that of Kenya, Cote D’Ivoire, and Ghana.
Let's not praise the APC govt either federal or state for the growth of Lagos, the state has been developing before 1999, I can say Lagos would have developed more under a visionary govt not those who will divert states resources to their personal use. Though, Chief Bola Tinubu tried but Lagos would still have developed so "Let no man claim the glory of a prosperous Lagos". which state govt in this country is visionary, pls tell me or you guys simply want Lagos to be in ruins like other states? The Edo that everyone is shouting about, are they visionary there? why do we like lies a lot as Nigerians. What happened in Edo was a battle between Obaseki and Oshiomole. It was not an APC vs PDP war.
If they think they can take over Lagos, then they are seriously joking.
They don't even have a solid grassroot politician in Lagos.
It is always a year to election that they try to start selling a candidate.
They should try and win Ondo first before they talk about Lagos. let them dream on bruv, when they loose the next election, they will cry and protest at the US embassy as usual |

DTaj: From the outset, APC was never a political party. It was an agglomeration of interests.
Although I preferred the party to PDP in 2015 (I still do) for the obvious reason of President Jonathan's absolute loss of control and unbridled corruption under the party, and some good people in APC, it (APC) had always been a disorganized set up.
First, Odigie Oyegun was NOT a leader. The rot started with him as Chairman. He was damn too gentle, bordering on foolishness! Then, Adams Oshiomhole came in as Chairman. He meant well and wanted Governors to respect the party, however, his NLC gra-gra approach finally killed that party!!!
Unfortunately for Nigeria, the alternative, PDP, is replete with thieves, cultists, and outright vagabonds!
This is the time for Nigerians to seek a "3rd Force" of sound professionals, who have absolute love for the country (and not on how much they can steal from it!). They should look for patriotic rich men who can fund them; as it is clear that the Presidency cannot be won by talk and conferences alone, but with huge funds.
Congratulation to Governor Godwin Obaseki!
May God help Nigeria! what would have been the best approach nah, gentleman no work gra gra no work then what would have worked? We talk and talk but no one appreciates how deadly these governors are, that was how they destroyed the pdp before they started rebuilding. |

crossfm: The video is a coded message to Tinubu.
He said he was optimistic the party was going to win the election prior to 3 weeks ago.In other word's the actions and inactions of APC in the last 2 week's caused their downfall. The video Tinubu made urging the people of Edo state to reject the governor was ill-timed. Considering the "Edo no be Lagos "slogan still fresh on the peoples mind. If APC still want to remain relevant, they need to address their infernal conflicts.Reach out to aggrieved and neglected members for reconciliation. They should also have a roundtable meeting with the president, so that they can address most of the antipeople policies. They cannot resolve anything. The party belongs to PMB and BAT. Those are the men that will always decide who be becomes chairman or presidential candidate. Most politicians in the APC are just fortunate guys benefitting from the popularity of PMB and BAT resources including the loud mouth kaduna governor. They have no strong political base apart from the APC platform reason Fayemi who himself has no other base thinks APC will expire after PMB tenure. Most politicians in APC are overrated and I pity most of them cos they have no life outside politics. If pdp gets back into aso rock, trust the pdp most of the present APC politicians will be cooling their ass in jail. |

tesppidd: Oshiomole did not inflict any damage on APC.
1. His first sin was stopping Rochas from becoming senator, his wife to HOR, his son becoming governor.
2. His second sin was not supporting Amaechi who said that Magnus Abe must not contest for governor.
3. Another sin was stopping Yari from singlehandly picking a successor and shutting out Marafa and his faction in Zamfara.
4. Another sin was not allowing Aisha Buhari from having her way when her brother wanted to contest for governorship in Adamawa. His sin was insisting on a fair contest.
Is this the way that Adams destroyed the party?
One man singlehandedly destroyed the APC and his name is Buhari. Thank you for saying the truth, a lot of nigerians are so ignorant. The governors are the ones killing APC like they did in pdp. Oshiomole being a former governor himself wanted to put them in check but everyone egos got in the way and the rest they say is history. PMB is not a politician and cannot put his house in order, until things get so bad then he will run to the same tinubu they are fighting with and put osinbajo to head a kangaroo committee for resolution with nothing to resolve at the end of the day when things have been too damaged beyond repair. It will be interesting to see how things will play out towards 2023. The aloofness of PMB is a huge problem |
