Sports › Re: Keshi To Play Practical ‘african Football’ Against Congo by Goke7: 10:28am On Nov 13, 2014
Daninya1:
we have quality players that can take the world by surprise..i disagree that we have a dearth of quality players..no no no..
Keshi is just being sentimental in his squad selection..just bcux iheanancho refused playing Chan he is too young to play for the eagles..dnt 4gt iheanancho, had a guy who was benching him in the name Bernard bulbwa..so we have quality players...keshi lack tactical depth..

You need players who can produce their magic wands when the chips are down to give you results..you saw what moses did against ethopia, mba against cote dvoire and burkina faso..
I rest my case on this matter..bsd the word daft here means going out of ideas..
If i say,are u stupid?does it mean one is stupid..
@the bolded, it is the ignorant sports journalists/analysts and ex footballers am sure that has been feeding you with those lies that we have players that are world class, let me inform you that those who fed you with those lies wanted keshi out by all means, they were the ones who misled amaju pinick to take a silly decision, its all about beef for keshi my brother.

seriously you know what, I want us not to qualify for afcon, why? because I want keshi to be replaced by another coach to prove that coaching is not our problem but the lack of quality players who can do the business, whether Iheanacho, martins or whoever will come into our squad, we will always have an average performance by the eagles or have you forgotten where keshi picked us from? the last time moses played well for us was at the last afcon, after that moses have been poor for the national team, he only entertains us with ball joggling skills in calabar or have u forgotten moses' performance in addis ababa against ethiopia? Liverpool lacked enough quality players but still moses could not break into their first eleven, we nigerians are overrating moses.

we don't have the magic wand players you are talking about, don't be deceived and stop blaming keshi for our players' inconsistency. Mba, moses, musa, igiebor, azeez, our back four and all our strikers including emenike are not consistent enough to have a National team to put up
top regular performances that all Nigerians desire, its a generational thing, let's hope the next generation of eagles will have more talented players, okay?

sir, amongst d players invited, judging from present form, victor moses is the hottest..d lad also spoke out that he wished he was in the team..
Bringing back keshi is a bane for us at dix tym..
Am i not entitled to my opinion again??..i have also loved Nigerians football...deep down,i want us to qualify..keshi should stop being sentimental with players selection..
Nxt tym pls dont misquote my opinions..i mean no ill..
Coaching a national team is multidimensional, there are lots of factors you look out before inviting players..bsd,y was samri nasri dropped from france squad??was it not attitude problem?
I only comment on my interest and i am not destructive in critism..
Shalom
the earler u guys realise that we no longer have quality players like before whether home or abroad, the better for all of us, hot or not, there's no magic moses can perform for us against Congo, shebi uche is now in the squad, we'll see the magic he will perform in the game. Some of us are just too sentimental, the problem with our national team is not the coach, we have a dearth of quality players in this generation of eagles, they are not just good enough talk less of being world class. Let's stop deceiving ourselves, the players are not just there if not we'll see them in great clubs abroad, mba our so called hero is in France 3rd divison league. Our players are not consistent enough including moses, if they are in form now, tomorrow they go off form and we all turn round blame the coach. Do you know that Senegal is gradually having a very good collection of players playing regularly in the epl? How many do Nigeria have?

of course you are entitled to your opinion but please don't call the coach dumb, if people call u dumb, how will you feel?
Sports › Re: Vote For Vincent Enyeama As BBC African Footballer Of The Year 2014 by Goke7: 12:01pm On Nov 12, 2014
I have a feeling that Enyeama will win the award since the award event will take place in Nigeria again, this is politics o, Nigeria is a strong stakeholder in CAF, Lightening cannot strike twice for Yaya toure in Nigeria and with the controversies that greeted the award last time I think CAF will be willing to compensate Nigeria this time around.

Forget all those voting rubbish, even FIFA sef de guilty or how do you explain messi getting the mvp award at the world cup, It was a compensation for his missing out on the big deal which is the world cup itself.

However if Enyeama does not win, then may be an algerian with their performance at the world cup.

This is about the CAF awards please

Pls,help me ask Keshi,is it with the butter and bread, tea or coffee players that he has invited to camp that he wants to play the pragmatic style of football..
Or is he talking about Mikel who just finished partying with his Russian girlfriend so hard few hours ago that he wants to use to play practical football??...
Keshi was dumb not to include Victor Moses in his squad even if he was injured..smh..he has that magic wand to turn things around for the eagles..
Nigerians blame GEJ if we fail to qualify..in as much as i am a Nigerian,my head keeps telling me we will win,but my inner mind tells me the opposite...
I am a patroitic Nigerian not an antagonist..
Lets just kiss Afcon 2015 goodbye..
We will bounce back better in 2yrs time..
United we stand,Divided we fall..
@the bolded, Please stop all these, in the last game moses played for the eagles against france, he was very poor, moses had a bad world cup and keshi has said that the guy is just returning from injury and he does not want to risk him on an artificial pitch, moses himself has confirmed keshi's reason so why are abusing keshi now? when are we going to stop casting aspersions on keshi for christ's sake? is he dumb for not risking moses career? if moses is invited and does not perform well or gets injured, will you pay his hospital bills, will you not blame keshi for inviting moses?

football is not a do or die affair, there are many other sports to talk about, keshi was sacked and asked to come back if not he won't be the coach now so why having panadol for another man's headache.

Happy birthday to man of God I have lots of respect for. The calibre and number of guests who came to celebrate with him shows how much people still value those who will always stand out for truth and justice, they may not align with you publicly but deep inside they are with you. Pictures don't lie you know.

Many happy returns Pastor Bakare

until the all petroleum depots and tank farms in kirikri, Ibafon and creek road are evacuated and relocated to may be epe or wherever, there will never be respite in that area, they were not meant to be there as we have main apapa wharf and tin can ports already to deal with.

I worked in kirikiri area and I can write a whole thread of my sufferings everyday on this road, I can't go to work with my car anymore except I want to sleep on the road, its so pathetic. I will advise anyone except you have an urgent thing to do in this area, don't come here at all for now until when the christmas holidays begin, a word is enough for the wise o.

Finally those looking for jobs in apapa should think twice, you may regret later

NFF's head of competitions, Dr Sanusi Mohammed, revealed that the federation is shocked at Courtney's refusal and the position of her family not to collect the money.

Why is the federation shocked? of course it looks so strange to the nff, the reason for all the crisis so far in the glass house, a little girl teaching elders how to behave and comport themselves, what a shame.

Daninya1:
Enough of all this... Mikel is a professional.. Yes of course.. So what?.. Don't professionals sit on the bench??..
If a player is not an his best, he should be benched..
What mikel needs is competition.. He is too lax for my liking.. Keshi should give other players the chance to show what they can offer...
The last time I checked finidi George was discovered in Malta..
Even the unbencheable Mikel was scouted in Norway...
Scouts should be sent all over the globe.. We can get a better replacement for mikel..
I think you should be the chairman of that scouting committee, you guys on this forum just talk out of emotions, when will u guys come to reality that this is the least talented generation of super eagles player we've ever heard, why have we allowed ignorant sports journalists to keep misinforming us that we still have talented Nigerian players out there.

Our players are not good enough, most of them are in crap clubs thinking they are professional footballers, what is musa still doing in russia, what is emenike and obaobona doing in turkey, ambrose in scotland, omeruo in a lower division, even the great mba is playing 3rd division in france, the great obagoal martins in us mls.

We have deceived ourselves too long that we have quality players and that's why mikel will continue to lool like a thin god and if you think he's lucky, why have luck not shine on the others too?

Sports › Re: Keshi Resumes; Recalls Ikechukwu Uche For Remaining AFCON Qualifiers by Goke7: 2:55pm On Nov 01, 2014
dabossman:
And you think Nigerians will remember that? Bro, we have a culture of unceremoniously getting rid of our players no matter how good they once were. A few bad games and you're out the window. Go ask Yekini, Aiyegbeni, Oliseh and even Okocha. Mikel Obi was one of our best players at Afcon 2013. Some Nigerians were even clamouring for him to win the African footballer of the year just last December. 6 months later, he is the butt of all jokes
@the bolded abi o, Nigeria we hail thee, na emotions we de use run football for Nigeria, the Ike uche you see today you may see no more after a failing to score in two games. Martins was painting laliga with goals at levante but against kenya, my guy just de play anywhere belle face football, people then blamed keshi for inviting a player that was not at afcon.

Can u tell me the cause of the rift btw Keshi and Maigari? We all know that it was the ego that went into his head made him feel he has the right to do anything..... If their is proper probation on his player selection, will he select from the austrian and chinese league?
my guy, its not done anywhere where to interfere with a coach selection of players, if you feel the coach is not giving you results, then sack him, keshi was sacked and he was called back, is that his fault? can a coach recall himself back after being sacked or is keshi's ego so powerful that he can't be asked to go forever?

I have told you where the problem is, the sports ministry and nff, they are the mumus here who don't know what they want, not keshi. maigari was the one who fooled himself before keshi and same thing amaju pinic did too, amaju's case is even worse, he may soon be booted out of nff, will u blame keshi for that too?
Sports › Re: Keshi Release His List For November Qualifiers by Goke7: 12:02pm On Nov 01, 2014
crownprince102:
if d nff and sport minister is corrupt and clueless, should keshi also join them? If you call Martins an average player, what is ur qualification for sunday emmanuel, chigozie agbim etc. We should all try and get to know why Keshi has remain defiant all become he won the afcon. Hassan sheatta won this same afcon 3 consecutive time with egyptian homebase players and we never heard of him dropping abouterika for an low class player, not for once did he complain and try to dictate to d egyptian FA as Keshi is doing despite the political crisis in the country. He won the afcon 3 consecutive time and resign when he had already lost only 2 matches in d next afcon qualifying campaign when he knew he has given all he had to offer and never said anytin bad abt d country odr FA. As they say, a black man has no shame..... It does apply to Keshi, he said it gallantly that "nigeria is not a serious football country" just becos he was fired. I believe only an "unserious" football coach will coach an "unserious" football country. Keshi said he would never return to d Eagles in an interview wit CABLE in brazil, out of no shame, he came back in even a shameless way...... Its better he preserves it dignity!!!
Thank God you admitted that the nff and sports ministry are corrupt, let's deal with that first the coach issue is a very small matter keshi is not the problem but our administrators no coach anywhere can dictate to his employer o or can u as an employee give orders to your employer?

He recalled Uche just bcs of pressure and still left out some of our best legs that we need for these qualifiers, i.e. Moses and Obago for some unknown players.

Is this the right time to showcase players for marketing purpose considering the situation at hand?

Keshl selection method is very very questionable and fishy, if possible he should be probed.
complain complain everywhere even if keshi invite the whole of real madrid and barcelona we go still complain I tire o

sorry oooo, Keshi's in-law....... Wait and see the fate of ur country in the qualifier. Are u telling me Sunday Oliseh, Finidi George, Michael Emenalo, etc can't do the job? You are as clueless as Keshi, Birds of a Feather!!!
If we don't qualify, heaven will not fall, all the names you have mentioned as coaches are all stubborn if not more than keshi, do you think oliseh or finidi will select their players and allow interference even from the Commander in chief?

There is no better replacement for keshi now and no serious coach will coach these bunch of average players including all the martins and all other players who are not in the squad now, even amodu pick race to show how unserious we are and how bad the situation is.

My guy its your nff and sports ministry that are clueless and don't know the way forward for Nigerian football

Sentiment apart, what's sunday emmanuel, an austrian league bench warmer doing in the team, Is Enyimba Mfon Udoh not better than the guy, the guy has no goal to his name this season. Martins, Dike, Ideye, Moses, Imoh Ezekiel etc are far better than this guy and u know it. He hasn't played a total of 90 minutes this season. So also, Is Egwekwe the best defender in the NPFL, Chinedu Efugh is there. Egwekwe has not for once made the team of the week through out this season. Agbim can't stay at the goal with our mind at rest we all know that. What if the rest of the goal keeper are injured. Germany took their best team to world cup and the were victorious, is Marko Marin, Sydney Sam, Dennis Aogo, Mario Gomez, Marc Andre Ter stegen, Max Mayer not good players?

he has already laid a plan that will make NFF self dependend cos so many sponsors will come in.

so dont agree with your last statement.

as for Keshi hope he learns to be flexible do the needfull add some other stars not just the "kitchen cabinent members"

even when the likes of emenike is not scoring...........
story for the gods, I said it on this forum when keshi was sacked that amaju has allowed himself to be misguided by ex footballers and ignorant sports journalists who know nothing about football, the guy na pure learner, getting to a post with all the controversies and sacking a coach, he must be so embarrassed now, he allowed himself to be misled and was wrongly advised. Another bad decision is to play the south africa in uyo, if the guy love himself that match should be in abuja.

Amaju need to calm down and learn administrative dexterity.

I have always maintained that there was no plan for keshi's replacement, amodu's appointment was the joke of the year for a coach who has not been coaching for a while. All the talk about Ruud Gulit, and other foreign coaches was a scam, Amaju got it wrong by being hasty in sacking keshi.

But if am keshi, I will not return, Nigeria is truly not a serious football nation according to keshi himself

Mikel is 27 years old, musa is 22 years old , 5 years no be beans o. Musa will eventally move west to a bigger league. So you man of the match argument hold no water

In super eagles mikel is a problem and not a solution. He should be banned from watching our matches talkless of playing

Onazi is consistent, yes. The fact is, he is more replacable than musa. No team plays with the guy that makes the difference in the front, regardless of the fact that the midfield is the most important section.

Onazi has zero club profile, so leave this arguement. Theres nobody

Lets just make him the captain smileysmileysmiley. As the one eyed man in the land of the blind, our ronaldo, our messi..
that is the problem we have in Nigeria, we are damn too emotional, so because musa is doing well today, he's now our ronaldo but tommorrow when he becomes woeful in front of goal, we'll start castigating him by calling him all sort of names. Our football cannot improve with this kind of inconsistency
