princebergz: see haters everywhere! Keshi tried, worked his mathematics and with a bit of good old luck won the nations cup albeit hardwork by the players too... And right now things ain't working out well for the team *shrugs* but Keshi is not totally "yarning dust" tho, for one, our league is still in a sorry state (administratively, et al) + mediocre coaching and training facilities. secondly, look at the vegetable farms we call pitches! (please don't mention artificial pitches its a nightmare playing on them) another thing is the shameless board of clowning animals called NFF, the havoc they wreck can't be overstated! That ill-advised Pinnick has started toeing the path of destruction too! lastly, look at our entire squad *spits* just two or three above average johnies in the team! people are always quick to chastise Mikel, what can that lazy bench warmer do? The "Senior " players can't step up their game as we've seen over and over again (some are actually talented, we watched Ahmed Musa's performances against Argentina and Sudan, Osaze against Bosnia, Mba and Emenike at the Nations cup, we saw glimpses of Mikel against Sudan). Plus we needed some discipline in and Keshi brought sanity to that team... enough said gan sef...
N.B: quote me let's rub minds... I agree with you and that's why am scared about the future of our football, we think we have done the right thing by sacking keshi but am afraid we may be regretting some years later, keshi qualified Togo for the world cup, but what has Togo achieved since then? you are very right concerning the quality of players we have right now cos this must be least talented generation of Nigerian players we've ever had, this is the reason despite getting to the second round of the world cup, none of them made any big move to a club in Europe. Its not a coaching problem, we lack the materials, even the likes of uche and martins people are shouting about are average players in average clubs. |
Sports › Re: Afcon Qualifier: Nff Hands 66 Man List To Amodu. by Goke7: 1:40pm On Oct 22, 2014 |
AOB1963: The last NFF were playing hide and seek with factions, elections and court cases till FIFA banned them in August. This resulted in our poor performance against Congo and Bafana. Before those 2 games in September we were not sure if the ban will be lifted, Keshi was still negotiating contract with NFF. Less than a week to the first game, the players were not sure if the ban will be lifted. How can anyone prepare seriously for an event you are not sure will take place? In the case of a coach, how can anyone seriously do a job if you neither know who is your employer nor how long the job is for? The outcome of all that NFF mess is clear to us now. The new NNF now wants Amodu to select 23 players from 66 to play two must win games in less than 3 weeks time. How does he blend them, how will they understand his tactics or even his signals? You do this kind of thing for friendlies not crucial games. By the time Amodu's list of 23 is out, he will have created for himself in the 43 rejected players, new enemies and saboteurs. These 43 rejects in tandem with their friends in the Press and Glass house will start plotting his downfall. This is not just a calamity waiting to happen, NFF are the calamity that is confronting Nigerian senior male football And its the same nff and media that was accusing keshi of inviting fresh legs for crucial matches, hypocrisy at its peak |

khattab02: I no know say na Nff dey choose players for coach now oo? Amodu one thing wey u go do wey go sweet me na to walk away if u qualify us in that way I go believe say u no want job. that is what keshi didn't allow the nff to do, hence the reason he was sacked, all those arrogance, tactics and man management reasons given for his sack were crap, nff want to pick players for every Nigerian coach and I have always maintained that if that's the reason, then there is no need for a coach, amaju and his executives could as well form the consortium of coaches, this is why at the end of the day, our football will not grow. And as for amodu, man must wack, i understand his situation very well but if I can advise him he should ask for his November salary upfront, if not especially if Nigeria looses or draw in congo, im money don enter voice mail be that o |

robosky02: I think amodu either lacks negotiation skill or is quick to accept a slave contract or has luck for doing “monky dey work banboo dey shop”
The NFF said…
“ Shaibu Amodu returns as the team interim coach to be assisted with three coaches from the Glo Premier League. “We have two more important matches in the qualifiers which we hope to secure full points, and qualify for the Nations Cup.
“Coach Amodu will take over of the team as interim coach, to be assisted by Salisu Yusuf (El Kanemi Warriors) and Gbenga Ogunbote (Sharks FC) while former Green Eagles goalkeeper, Alloy Agu will be the goalkeeper trainer,” the NFF official divulge.”
How can he accept this arrangement, when he finishes qualifying Naija. And they ask him to step aside for another person he will cry foul again Let his either take charge FULLY or just walk away. must they drop him after a good job always…. man must wack abi no be Nigeria we dey? |

Your piece of advise is useless since you believe keshi is not good, Let's stop dishonouring our heroes all in the name of giving advise, we should be wiser than that. |

hifaif: You are so full of hate that you think people hate others because they gave constructive criticism. What is bad about telling Keshi to drop his bossy attitudes so that he can achieve more?
Keshi has been building a team for 3 years now because he keeps on quarreling with his players. He gets a new player today, fights with him 2moro and gets another one. How can you build a team when you don't have a consistent set of players?
The fact that Keshi is no longer the coach of Nigeria does not mean that telling him not to make the same mistakes he made in Nigeria with Ethiopia is an act of jealousy or envy. Oga I repeat Keshi is gone and Ethiopia has denied having anything to do with keshi so keep your unnecessary advise for amodu o you hear! |
Sports › Re: Keshi To Become Ethiopian National Team Coach, Just Days After NFF Sack by Goke7: 10:04am On Oct 20, 2014 |
hifaif: How is he pulling him down by telling him to be more flexible in dealing with his players (even the headstrong ones like Uche)?
Your mindset does not understand the difference between constructive criticism and hate. For you, anyone that tries to criticize Keshi is an hater. Some fellows like you were lambasting Taribo for daring to say Oboboana and Omeruo played like amateurs in their last 4 games for Nigeria as if it is now wrong to even give an opinion This man stop giving yourself headache, keshi is gone you hear, anything you say about keshi now has no value haba wetin, Taribo was right on omeruo and obaobona and i was among those that lambasted both players on this forum for the way they played against congo, truth is the players let keshi down but instead of us blaming the players for the way they played, we blamed keshi instead, keshi was ready to drop some players but u guys would blame him too, he took the risk against sudan by dropping some players and we won but u guys don't just anything good in keshi, now he's gone can you let him be now, the continuous criticism of keshi even when he's gone shows hate and envy and I stand by that. |

hifaif: This mentality is beginning to destroy a lot of people. One can't talk without some people like you branding others as jealous. Please, change your mindset. It is irritating. There is a difference between talking and running people down, keshi is gone and most people are still running him down, who according to you needs to change his mindset now? It is also irritating to be pulling a coach down when he's gone, makes no sense and am sure it makes no sense to you too. |

Sports › Re: Morocco Denies Pulling Out As Hosts Of 2015 AFCON by Goke7: 4:09pm On Oct 19, 2014 |
Morocco cannot eat their cake and have it, the nations cup is already on FIFA calendar for next year at the date specified, where did they want to Caf to postpone the date to? is not their fault anyway its because most african countries don't have standard facilities and the political stability [e.g. Nigeria] to host games of that nature, if not we should have at least four countries now on stand by.
The Moroccans to me are just lazy, the location of that nation on the continent makes it difficult for people to easily enter thru their borders like in most west african countries, everyone going to morocco can only go there by air and its just for them to screen people at the airport chikena, all the countries they share borders with have no outbreak of the disease so what's their problem?
abeg make we hear word jor, if they like they can suspend themselves from fifa because of ebola |

after winning AFCON; resign and go;; by then ur CV is a hot cake...
u will get other countries ready to pay u more than nigeria;
but Keshi choose to b patriotic even Nigerian Presidents are neva patriotic... not to talk of an ordinary football coach..
even as a nation; the average black african countries (the leaders plus the followers combine) fight against patriotism in many ways esp. Nigeria
can u see wat has happened to u...? Mr keshi both bonfere and westerhof have not been successful elsewhere after leaving Nigeria despite they leaving when the ovation was loudest, keshi has something going for him, he had made his name somewhere before coming to Nigeria that is by qualifying Togo for the world cup and has also done that for Nigeria, now that alone has made him an hot cake and within few months if not weeks, keshi will have another coaching job. Its only in Nigeria we don't respect Keshi |
