Made4naijalove: A video of a man crying by the side of a busy road after a woman turned down his public proposal has gone viral.
In the video, the man is seen going down on one knee to ask the woman to marry him. The woman didn't seem pleased and she walked away.
The man starts crying at this point and goes after the woman then kneels again.
His action caused a scene and made people gather to plead with the girl to say yes. Some even lost patience with the girl when she refused to accept the proposal.
Cars driving past slowed down to observe the spectacle.
I think they should make a law that bar all this public proposal....lol successful men can be exempted but others can do it privately sha. The truth is I will not blame all this ladies declining, you will not allow your sisters to say yes if you know some of them wella.
Oldpikin: I'm 27 and a graduate. But I look so much like I'm still a teenager and it turning me to an introvert. And my voice isn't helping especially when I'm on phone. I wanted to start smoking weed for a thicker voice but someone told me that it doesn't work for everybody.
I was about to start using some stuffs for my beards to grow but I'm scared of the side effects. Do you know how I get a thicker voice in few days? Do you know how I could get beards in few days using organic combinations?
Please help I'll really appreciate it.
When you get to 60 and all your mates looks 100 then you will appreciate God for the body he gave you. Your problem is not your body but your mindset and you better change your mindset before you it's too late, think of the good sides, oh because someone doesnt respects you because you look younger than your age, who beards help? For your information people respects success not statures, see Osinbanjo, see @elrufai and many others. You want respects? Earn it. If you smoke Igbo or drugs and you run mad or loose focus, your village people finally won.
I guess he was told they are the one responsible for his sickness, anyways he has gone to rest and he was lucky to make amends with thos ehe felt he offended and I hope he did the same with God, one thing i know is that a sick person is likely to make heaven because he or she will have time to think about the kind of live he lived and possibly repent. RIP Senator Kashamu.
muchroom: This is a video of the brand new Lagos-Abeokuta-Ibadan Standard Gauge Rail Line undergoing test-running this month. This will definitely save man hours of travel and road delays as well as accidents.
I hope by the time this starts running the gullible ones crying about sovereignty to China will have a rethink. Imagine if all the monies these guys have been borrowing or stolen was in this kind of arrangements since 1999, things probably might not be like this. If we are owing let's see why we are owing. I will encourage state governments to embark on this kind of arrangements if they can. I wish PMB can make another arrangement for 6 international hospitals in the 6 zones.
NwekeUG: IgbereTV reports that an Enugu housewife, Mrs Josephine Nchetaka Chukwujama Eze, has caused gotten the attention of many Nigerians on social media after she returned approximately N14 million wrongly paid into her account.

In a piece made available to IgbereTV, Eze captured what happened and showered praises on his wife.
He wrote:
Prominent Nigerians, such as a President Buhari's Aide on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie praised Mrs Nchetaka for her honesty.
They did well otherwise they would have been embarrassed if they did not do so, honesty is the best policy. Incase you think if you were the one you will spend it, they will surely get you so it's better you safe yourself and may be they will compensate you with 10k ..lol.
Laseye008: A video of a Nigerian mum offering prayers on the pen of her daughter who begins her WAEC examinations on Monday August 17 has gone viral.
The mum who spoke in Yoruba, blessed the pen her daughter will use during the examination.
Mixed reactions have trailed the video. While some Nigerians appreciated the effort of the praying mum, others said the mum should have focused on her daughter reading her books to pass the exam and not depending on prayers.
This is small now, what of when special prayers is being offered in church for student and were advised to come with their pen. It's well. Read o, I have toiled the two paths and I can tell you that if you dont read and you pray, you will fail.
Dosinspector: Gov. Obiano of Anambra State has been spotted in a picture recently with Fani Kayode wearing a rugged jeans. This mode of dressing has been Condemned by the public especially on social media. Below is the picture and social media comments
Still cracking my head to know what is wrong in what the man is wearing. This is how we encourage people to live a 2 face lives. It's not as if he was at any functions. Even if a Governor wear 3/4 to office I dont care for as long as he is "working". What a mindset, hypocrisy.
MsDoris: 'Scam Show' - Viewers Outraged Over Kaisha's Eviction, Says BBNaija Show Should Be Shut Down (Reactions) . . Viewers are currently not happy with the result of tonight's eviction as they have taken to social media to request the show be shut down.
Recall during the latest eviction show on Sunday 16th August, Kaisha who came fourth to the last on the public's voting poll result was evicted out of the lockdown house due to the housemates final nomination.
The viewers are upset that their votes don't count anymore as it couldn't save their favourite who had higher votes than Trickytee, Wathoni and Neo.
Their argument is that, the show is watched by them and so they should be the only ones with the right to decide who stays or leaves and shouldn't be dependent on housemates favouritism.
Initially ten housemates were put up for eviction but unfortunately for Kaisha, Trickytee, Wathoni and Neo, they became the bottom four with Kaisha being the highest.
Sadly, being the highest didn't save Kaisha and hence the public's outrage.
Their argument is that, the show is watched by them and so they should be the only ones with the right to decide who stays or leaves and shouldn't he dependent on housemates favouritism.
Out of anger, viewers stormed Big Brother Naija verified social media pages to make their displeasure known, calling the show scam and requesting the old voting still be returned or the show ends.
muchroom: In this revealing interview on channels television, Governor El-Rufai bares it all with claims that he is on the bad side of some powerful Kaduna Indigenes because it is no longer Business as usual in the state.
When asked how he is dealing with the notion of people who think he has taken side? He said it is because he is promoting peace and peaceful co-existence among the ethnic groups.
The governor claims some unknown persons are using the crisis in the state to garner wealth for themselves while promising that the long arm of the law will soon catch up with such people once the security arms have enough evidence against them
I was shocked like PMB when he said the previous administration used to give them brown envelopes every month as peace money but he stopped because of the selfishness of the leaders. I think it's high time Nigerian youths should stop believing everything our elders or leaders says, even if they are right we should reason out their motives.
Heartheart: Hi I just needed to bring this here. I am 22 years of age and I am not happy at all. My boy friend and I are in a long distance relationship. Not long perse. He is in lagos while I'm in abeokuta. I served in lagos so that's how we met and we got to spend quality time together.
Now since I've passed out I've been at home. I passed out in June. So it's been June that we saw last and now we're in august. He has been disturbing me to come visit him as it has not been easy staying alone, loneliness and all. I promised to visit him next week which also happened to be my birthday week. I have super strict parents but I still promised I will find my way.
I told them (parents) that I was travelling to visit a friend (girl). I could not tell them it was my boyfriend I was going to see because I knew deep down they wouldn't allow me travel to another city to see a guy. But my parents have blatantly refused that I cannot visit this girl. I had to tell my bf that I was not going to come. He was so sad and angry and he let me know he has wasted a lot of money preparing to surprise me for my birthday. He was so excited to see me and he had made a lot of plans. He told me he was disappointed in me and he doesn't think he can continue a relationship like this. Yes he comes to abeokuta sometimes but he mostly lodges in the hotel. He told me he can't continue lodging in the hotel that if I love him I will make effort. I tried to convince my parents they did not gree. Imagine, I told them I wanted to see a gf that they knew and they refused. What if I had told them he was a guy.
Pls guys how do u advise me to save my relationship, I'm in a tight spot right now and really sad.
Naso we men dey so so relax he is using the playbook unless you are not unique and worth your onions. If you have defined your relationship tell him to visit you at home, tell your parents about him, tell him youb wan to introduce him after all you are not a baby.
Muna4real: Is rape only for the unmarried? Or can a woman sue her husband for rape? I'm just asking, is it lawful?
No! Consent was given in the marriage contract signed, it can only be rape if by law they are separated as far as section 357 and section 6 of criminal code is concerned.
ALEX182: So I have this American patient who I recently came across. He's a fat dude who is like in his late 40s but has a very jolly and likeable character. I introduced myself and we got talking afterwards.
After a while of chitchat, he asked me where I was from. I told him to take a guess and he said said, you sound like you're Nigerian. I told him (regrettably) that I was Nigerian. He started smiling and told me that he had a Nigerian girlfriend and that we both had similar accents.
He then started telling me recent occurrences that had befallen his girlfriend in Nigeria. He said the lastest story was that she was in Abuja and as she was on her way to the airport in a taxi, the taxi had an accident and she was seriously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. He said that the hospital demanded money before treatment started and he had to hustle about $4000 and send to her in order for treatment to start.
He said that after a week of her being in the hospital, they wanted to discharge her despite her still being in pain. Because she had exhausted all the $4000 on treatment, he said the hospital had threatened to discharge her on the streets and he was trying to borrow more money to see if he could send it to her so they could continue with her treatments.
He furthermore told me that the girlfriend said that she was a Nigerian American citizen who was currently stuck in Nigeria due to her passport having expired and also due to Covid lockdown at airports in Nigeria. He said she had asked him for $300 to renew her US passport from American embassy in Nigeria.
Another thing that he told me was that just before covid struck, there was a similar pandemic which happened in Nigeria early this year and that his girlfriend had contracted the disease and he had to send her $2000 for treatment. Right now he said he's broke but is waiting for like $2000 disability check from the US government next week which he will send to her as soon as the money clears.
As he was telling me this tale, I was so angry with Nigerians and how they take advantage of people in love to scam them. I wanted to swear for the scammers
I'm at a dilemma here. Do I tell him that he's being scammed by Nigerians or do I continue to be professional and just ignore it. Because I don't want him to think I'm involved with it because these oyinbo people can turn everything on your head and accuse you that is your people in conjunction with you that are scamming him. They are that crazy.
The good part of me wants to help him but I'm hesitant that it may turn out bad for me. Please matured responses.
I think there's a way you can do it, inform your management, lawyer first before telling him, you have an obligation to disclose this information if you know that its affecting his health or will affect his health.
We dont need to go far, dont you see how the married ones demand the money they loan him to cook back despite eating the soup together, you will hear "you have not given me the money I used to cook last week, it's their nature and only few are innocents.
manos: Note: it's a bit long... I could have summarized but I want those contributing to get a crystal clear picture of the situation, so that they can give better and specific advice.
The major problem here is that she mixes up things to be done in the kitchen with things done only in the toilet.
I have been married to my wife for over a year now (no kids yet) and there are certain unhygienic habits she has been displaying, since we started living together. I have been seeking ways to help her improve on it, but a calm correction from me always leads to a bitter argument between us. (She claims I complain too much whenever I point it out)
For example, she always clears her throat early in the morning and spits in the kitchen sink. (despite the fact that we have 2 toilets with wash hand basins; one in the room and also a guest toilet, with a wash-hand basin which is basically 3 steps from the kitchen). Then she goes to the bathroom, gets her toothbrush and comes back to the kitchen to brush her teeth, while doing several things with toothpaste and saliva drooling from her mouth all through.
The other day, she prepared breakfast (spaghetti) for both of us with the drooling toothpaste mouth and i refused to eat from it. I didn't complain to her either, until she asked why I didn't take my portion of the spaghetti from the pot, later that evening. I mentioned to her that, as always I find it disgusting to eat spaghetti, seasoned with toothpaste drool and saliva. The response I got from her was a hiss and then she said that, next time I should inform her if I am not going to eat the food she cooked so that she would not cook for me."
I let that slide but I felt she missed the point. The next day was her birthday and I decided to prepare breakfast for her. While I was in the kitchen cooking, she came in with the same drooling toothpaste mouth to take a kitchen Scissors in order to cut something on her pants, even though we have another scissors in the room for such purposes. In the process of trying to pick the scissors, her hands which were covered with toothpaste drool had to cross the pot which I was cooking with. I mentioned to her that I was not comfortable with that and she just hissed as usual, still picked the Scissors and left the kitchen while angrily saying that I am just a complainer. I lost it at this point and proceeded to give her a lecture in anger about basic hygiene and why I can not keep quiet over these things because we live in a shared space and how her actions have a direct effect on me. It ended in a shouting match till she kept quiet, without accepting she was wrong.
This is the pattern almost everything takes when I try to correct her. The worst part is that I would still have to be the one to apologize for shouting at her because if I don't, I might be subjected to a week long silent treatment which I dread.
There are other more unhygienic things that are done by her, which I might not be able to post here due to the fact that I am not completely anonymous and she is still my wife but I hope this information is enough for someone to understand my frustration and profer a solution.
No issue in all these things you mentioned, I understand it's a phase you guys are passing through, dont worry you will be fine, tone down your tone while correcting and probably start brushing together. Love your wife with all her faults, do you know how millimetres of that saliva you are complaining about you swallow when both of you kisses, my brother relax, she will change likewise you too must change, not everything a woman does you go put for mind, dont give yourself high BP.
rasheedatt: I am freaking out about this, My boss asked me out on a date which I think is innapropriate but I love my job and i was looking for a loooong time before i found it so I will be damned if i give up.
I was very kind and told him there is zero interest here so i wouldnt want to waste his time. He told me I should quit the job or accept him and he will increase my salary.
I told him to give me a week to think about it.
What should I do?
Quit!. It could be a test but if not dont give in. Dont go that road, it's a turbulent one.

DURBAN - A KwaZulu-Natal businessman who has lost his valuables has decided to employ his robber.
Siya Gasa's bag was stolen from his van last month, but he managed to track down his robber.
"We got the information and description of the person who had taken my bag, we then managed to set a trap for that person," Gasai said.
In a bizarre turn of events, Sanele Ngubo now works for Gasa.
But why employ a thief?
The businessman says he wanted to guide the 21-year-old.
"I said let's try and not harm him, Iet me try and protect him. Because if you open a case for somebody, he goes to jail and comes back even more dangerous," Gasa said.
Ngubo has been breaking into cars since he was in Grade 8.
He blames his actions on poverty.
"It's painful when you come back from school and there is nothing in the pot," he said.
Gasa says he is confident Ngubo will make most of this opportunity.
