Kwanza: The recent and unintelligible rants by the Peoples Democratic Party @OfficialPDPNig is not unconnected to the impending mass defections set to hit the failed opposition party.
The PDP calls for the resignation of the President. How silly! Nobody expects the PDP to provide ideas on good governance going by their inglorious past and antecedents. We only reiterate that the PDP stays quiet while the President Muhammadu Buhari administration clear the rot they foisted on the country.
Nigeria deserves a vibrant, purposeful and credible opposition not the laughing stock we have been subjected to in the name of the opposition PDP. It is well within the rights of PDP members to abandon a rudderless and sinking ship for the progressive fold.
Going by the popular axiom: Why fly like a hen when you can soar like an Eagle?.
We are particularly gladdened by the return of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara to the APC.
As we work collectively to achieve the Nigeria of our dreams, we will no doubt encounter challenges along the way. But one thing is sure. Under the focused and sincere leadership of @MBuhari , we are already delivering on key electoral promises of securing the nation, fighting corruption and improving the economy and livelihoods.
SIGNED: @ynabena Deputy National Publicity Secretary All Progressives Congress (APC)
kahal29: Senior Special Assistant to Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, on Esan South East Local Government matters, Chris Oseiwe Oribhabor, has resigned from the administration.
In his resignation letter dated July 22, 2020 and addressed to the governor, he noted that his action was as a result of the decision of his political leader and former governorship aspirant, Peter Esele, to remain in the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Oribhabor, it would be improper for him to leave the APC through which he got his appointment and join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He stated that his resignation became necessary due to the decision by the state government that appointees must cross to the PDP or face sack.
The former SSA thanked Obaseki for the opportunity to serve the state.
“I hereby tender the resignation of my appointment as Senior Special Assistant to Governor,” he wrote.
“This is coming as a result of the decision of my Leader Comrade Peter Esele to remain in his political party, the All Progressives Congress (A.P.C).
“As his loyalist, it will be improper for me to leave the All Progressives Congress (A.P.C) through which the appointment was given and cross to the People’s Democratic Party (P.D.P).
“Now the decision by the State Government you must cross or face sack, hence I hereby tender my resignation, the love of my party is paramount.
“I want to sincerely thank His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki for his courage and the opportunity given to serve, I also appreciate my leaders and colleagues.
“Please be assured of my best regards as always. Thanks.”
Recall that Obaseki; his deputy, Philip Shaibu, and some other government appointees resigned from the APC in June following the governor’s disqualification from participating in the party’s governorship primaries.
They subsequently joined the PDP where the governor and his deputy clinched the ticket to run for reelection on September 19, 2019.
Oribhabor’s resignation from Obaseki’s adminstration comes a month after Christopher Adesotu resigned as the state’s Chairman, Board for Technical & Vocational Education (BVTE).
Earlier in June, Paul Ohonbamu also resigned as Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation.
Before the trio, Taiwo Akerele resigned as Obaseki’s Chief of Staff on April 25, 2020, while Senior Special Assistant on Anti-Human Trafficking and Illegal Migration, Solomon Okoduwa and Senior Special Assistant on Donor Agencies, Emmanuel Sule, had earlier resigned from the administration in April 2020.
StagethemTVee: A university of Ibadan graduate who was in the company of a suspected armed robber and kidnapper when arrested by officers of the Nigerian police force is seen in this video being harrassed and psychologically abused and initimadated by the same crude policemen. They used fear as a weapon to intimidate and scare her while recording her cry for help and attempt to explain herself.
This is so wrong, coming from people that should protect the weak. They used her weakness at the moment as a weapon against her, discussing sexually oriented and private issues that they have no business discussing with the lady.
After tweets by segalink and other social media influencers, the police force have issued a statement that all officers find culpable will be brought to book according to law.
Watch the 2-parts video of this intimidation and sexual harrasment by men of the Nigerian police force below.
This can happen to anyone be it male or female, once they confess you dont know anything about their criminality you will be freed with the help of a good lawyer, although Nigeria police will instill fear just for extortion. Its a rough road though, I will encourage people to be careful of old and new friends with sudden wealth.
nairavsdollars: Asiwaju Bola Tinubu endorsing Chris Ngige as ACN governorship candidate in Anambra governorship election in February 2010. Ngige came third
Seated is then Lagos governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, now Works&Housing Minister
I honestly like it when people show me my worth, Ngige statement is just to tell Tinubu that they are waiting for him.
Even if tenants are to pay 6% it should be to the LGA of each state. I sorry for the South where rents are high. PMB obviously is the last president of the APC.
Wisdomkosi: "You Are A Small Boy" - Sen. Ngige bombs Hon Faleke!

lalasticlala: Royal Hairs Int Limited has promised to make 2020 BBNaija contestant, Nengi, their ambassador once she comes out.
Nengi trended few days ago after she was caught lying about her age.
Nengi is getting lots of supports from celebrities. Will she be another Mercy Eke?
Some will be crying no opportunity instead of creating one, that was how my sister inlaw approached a department in one of the tertiary institutions to be lecturing for free, guess what? She's gone far. Start thinking on how to create your own opportunities. God bless you.
The Senate on Tuesday, at plenary, passed a bill to give legal backing to the establishment of the Nigerian Army University, Biu in Borno. Chairman of the Committee on Nigerian Army, Sen. Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South) said the passage of the bill followed a clause-by-clause consideration of the report of the committee. Ndume said the committee, while undertaking legislative work on the bill, took into consideration “areas that are in conflict with other extant laws, those that have security implication and those that are ambiguous.”
According to the lawmaker, the bill, if passed into law, will promote research and other means of advancement of knowledge and its application to military hardware and software, among others. He said that the institution would cater for the development of middle and high-level manpower in the area of technological empowerment for civilians, appreciation of military policies, logistic and strategies.
Meanwhile, the Senate also called on the Federal Ministry of Education to intensify its sensitization and advocacy programmes; and engage traditional and religious scholars on the plight of Almajiri. The senate said the need to enroll them into the universal basic education system to address the issue of out-of-school children in the country.
The call was contained in the recommendations of the report of Sen. Akon Eyakenyi (PDP-Akwa-Ibom South), the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education (Basic and Secondary). Eyakenyi said that “the Almajiris, who were predominant in the North, constituted the larger number of out-of-school children roaming the streets begging for alms and food in Nigeria.
The lawmaker said the the Almajiri pupils were covered by the intervention policy and programmes of the Federal Government through Universal Basic Education Act, 2004. “The implementation of the UBEC Act, 2004 requires maximum collaborations with the State Governments and indeed the domestication of the Act through the State Legislatures,” she said. She said that Nigeria had obtained 611 million dollars from the World Bank Financed Programme-Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) – as a credit to specifically address the problem of Out-of-School children.
The lawmaker, however, stressed that the optimal operation and implementation of the BESDA Programme, as being implemented by UBEC in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education, required the efforts of all stakeholders to succeed.
I knew it was Amaechi idea and thank God PMB bought it. I just hope everyone will put the past behind them including OBJ and see how to change the fortune of this country for posterity sake. God bless Nigeria.
Horlayhemy: Well said. But have you also seen those who see opportunity but couldn't seize it because there's no financial support. All in all, destiny is above all.
There is always a way to solve that financial support problem if you keep thinking. Nothing is impossible.
Nchenches: It will further divide the country and increase insecurity and corrupt practices. Let Buhari finish his term and carry his wahala go.
It's just to make the guy serious, whenever the Legislative arm make such moves the Executives usually sit up. If nothing is done the insecurity will destroy the Nation.
They should go ahead even though they dont have the numbers but it will be on record that they did not sitdownlook perhaps PMB will sit up, enough of this "I was shocked".
One of my Reverend will say "they go school but den no get sense". Dont take it as insult. I pray that when you will be sharing your story in 20years time the headline wont be " How my first love ruined my life" but " How my first love would have ruined my life". I know you go school and you get sense so "RUN".
Who would have believed Ben Bruce chats with PMB associates. You have no idea that these men are in talking terms while their die hard fans will be busy wasting their data and time. They talk and laugh behind your back .
It was a show of shame and eye opener not just for Niger Delta but Nigerians to know why progress can never come with them sitting down. It's not only in that sector alone. They cannot say let us have free medicals for all the hospitals in the Niger Delta. They are busy awarding useless contracts. Are you sure Nigeria is built for democracy at all.
It was a show of shame and eye opener not just for Niger Delta but Nigerians to know why progress can never come with them sitting down. It's not only in that sector alone, it's all over.
PS573: I'm in a relationship with a lady I love so much, she's so loving, caring and kind to me and after some months I asked her (Can you marry me?) She replied yes and she asked are you sure you can marry me? I replied YEs.
After Two weeks time she came to my house sadly, I asked what's wrong with her? She asked me again' are you sure you can marry me and I replied YES and YES, she said OK!
She opened up to me after some months, that she have "Tow kids from Two different men".... I felt so bad, speechless and confuse for a while, I just closed the conversation that day but till now I'm still confuse because I loved her before she opened up to me.
Please I need your advice what to do because I'm confuse and scared right now.
I appreciate all comments
Get to know the root of the matter and if possible see the children. Make your decisions.
@veave have said it all but I will like to add to what she said. Make peace with the youngest sister, who ego help? Just swallow your pride, talk to her that you are sorry and take her like your younger sister and if you are a Christian remember Jesus Christ ask us to settle with anyone we have issues with before praying or offering. Matthew 5:24
Once that is done they would have told your brother's wife and things will return.
Let me be Frank with you living with women requires a lot of patience, tolerance and love. I will say living with 3 of them in the house can be a learning process for you.
Finally, be very careful with the attitude of hes my brother, that woman has more rights than you now, be wise, be patience, be humble until your brother has trained you, established you, financial independence and be prayerful.
Greetings to everyone in the house. Trust we are all enjoying the weekend. As regards to the above-mentioned subject. What is your take on this? Would u allow your partner have a close friend that is of opposite sex? Briefly give your reason (s) and state what you believe should be the ideal arrangement in a family setting.
I was listening to a program on the radio earlier this morning on Raypower FM before power outage. However, I have to put it on this platform out of curiosity to know how we feel about it. Personally, it is a capital NO for me. But of course, one of the 2 callers that called in before power cut termed it as insecurity as nothing seems to be wrong with the idea. Do you agree?
Mod pls help push this to the front page. Thanks.
Na for clap den dey enter dance but that doesn't mean we dont have disciplined persons, just be careful and dont let handshake past the wrist.
donstan18: Having known that the use of romantic and lovely names is one of the common things in marriages, but I still do not think it's a yardstick to measure the respect and love your partner got for you, because some people prefer maintaining a high level of simplicity and straightforwardness in what they do.
So I would wanna know, how proper is it to address your partner by his or her real name in public places before people?
That has always been the tradition, the reasons why we dont have strong opposition and that's why they will never matter in the political spectrum of Nigeria. They are even worse than APC or PDP.
