Properties › Re: Can A Rented Apartment Contribute To The Downfall Or Growth Of A Tenant? by golddare: 4:38pm On Jan 06, 2020 |
XaintJoel20: Happy Sunday Nairalanders.
Often than not, I have heard people say, "That house did not favour me. I almost sold all the property I came into that house with. In fact, I think there are forces working against development and progress in that house".
Some people also have different stories to share about their rented apartment. Some believe that in contrast to the opinion of the former, that the apartments they rented has in one way or the other contributed to their success, progress, and financial uplifting.
I have heard people also say, "when I packed into this house, I came with just one mattress and two pots, but today, I have been able to buy a car, married my wife, send my children to choice schools, and got multiple promotions at my place of work", while those in business will say they now have multiple shops.
The big question is this:
Can the apartment one rents contribute to his financial prosperity, uplifting and greatness and can a rented apartment also contribute to the downfall of one that was previously "doing well"?
While some think it's just superstitious hype, others think otherwise.
What's your take on this? The day a child of God refuses to serve the Lord in truth and in spirit he or she is likely to be frustrated by any means. God told Abraham " The LORD had said to Abram, "Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you " Gen 12 :1 You can see that this is a specific instruction and in another chapter 26:2 God told his Son Isaac " the LORD appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. The result of obedience to God's instructions was blessings. 1. Before you take any accommodation pray about it even before getting any pray about it ahead. 2. We are living in a wicked world, I wont say more than that. 3. Lastly as a child of God we ought not to be afraid unless we are not sure of who we are, the enemies ought to be afraid of us, I have heard of people sent parking because they prayed alot. |
Family › Re: My Kids Nanny Is Leaving - Urgent Advise by golddare: 4:22pm On Jan 06, 2020 |
omonikiba: This is so urgent now.
This woman is so nice to us, my kids love her and am heart broken she's leaving today.
I have being trying to manage her marriage, she has issues with the MIL and hubby, they don't want to see her around. Her husband wants to take her back to the village, we've done all our best, I knelt down with other elderly people to beg but the MIL insist she's rude and want her to leave.
I will really be hurt to see her go, who else can I trust my kids with? I leave my rooms open with no fear, she doesn't steal and obey all instructions to the letter. In fact, am soooo free with her around my kids.
I have two vacant rooms around, we don't mind housing her, my husband want her to stay with us but I said no, I thought about it carefully and so said no. My reasons are;
* I don't want to have issues with the MIL, we are both house owners, not just tenants that will depart sooner or latter so I don't want any issue with a fellow landlady.
* She is way older than me, I call her mama. So I hate to hurt an elderly person. Taking her DIL in will surely hurt her. And she might think so instigated the DIL against her.
* I don't want other landlords to see me as a bad person.
* What if something happens to this girl or what of if she starts to misbehave?
*My sister and older relations advise against it.
* Her MIL will do everything possible to tarnish my image in our estate.
This girl isn't a bad girl, she is this village girls that if you manage well, you'll get the best out of them but her MIL n hubby are phycos. Very difficult to be with. She's highly unforgiving. She insist this girl must go because she doesn't fit her status. But they saw the kind of person she is before marrying her.
Enough of too much talk.
What do I do to keep her without hurting her MIL.
If she leaves, the stress will be too much for me and I don't think I'll get someone else due to trust.
I need help.
Ignore my typos pls Let her go, keep her contact or give her your number, tell her you may call her back when the dust settles then pray about it. If you are led to take her back please ask for wisdom and be ready to be at alert physically and spiritually. |

Explicit02: Firstly it is wrong to call your in-law thug
I guess because he knew you call him a thug that makes him have no regard for you guys...
Be kind to him and fix a date for intro and accept the fate unless your sister will become a baby mama and that stigma may affect her later in future
My view on this I think you should follow his advice unless you guys wants your sister to only born for the while she pursue other things in life but be very sure your sister wants out if not that guy will give her the second belle. |
Romance › Re: Is It Bad To Date My Sister's House Help? by golddare: 10:54pm On Jan 04, 2020 |
landmark86: Am a fresh graduate that just got a job with a private organisation. Last month I was transferred from our headquarters to one of our branches here in Akure, Ondo State. I stay in my elder sister's house right now cos I moved in last year December but have met with an agent who promise to get me a good apartment soonest.
To cut my story short, my sister has a house girl/lady which was so caring to me. Am 29yrs and still single not that I have never dated before, just that it never worked well while I was in school.
The house maid of my sister is 25yrs and a school cert holder but due to some reasons she couldn't further her education but still willing if she can get help.
She's a pretty, caring, very neat and also intelligent. And my sister also takes her as a sister not an house help.
Lastly weekend, my sister came back from an event and saw me and her catching some fun (I mean gisting and playing games) in the house and she got provoked.
She called me in and asked what is the relationship between me and her but I told her the basic truth that though we are just friends but I wish I could date her and my sister shouted on me NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not even when am alive.
Now I keep asking my self some question; Is house help not a human being? Is it a crime in dating/marry them? Is it a crime for a graduate to marry non graduate/illiterate ?
Please help a brother cos am in love with her. Thank you. I just hope you wont complicate matter for this girl. The best you can do for her is to encourage her to further and until then let her be. |

rottennaija: So the cycle of thieves continue. I have always said that whether Nigeria is divided or not, we will still have the same problem.
We have leaders who unite in stealing and looting. Someone will become a commissioner today and within 6 months, he has built a house that his salary and wages cannot afford.
Our problem is not whether we have 1 country or divided into many parts, as long as we have political officers and top civil servants who are well trained in the arts of looting out resources, we will never move forward. When you see them saying my people, my people in their speech just know say na them. Naija politicans are just too heartless. |

What a twisted story, 1. Their is no act of humility in this picture as far as am concerned, after all the governor is his boss and in Nigerian politics if deputies dont humble themselves the governor will frustrate them, so this is politics. 2. If indeed all said was true the picture could actually be out of context, I mean to say it could be a condition that warrant the deputy governor to share his umbrella with the governor. 3. magine Wole Soyinka holding umbrella for you when you become the governor of your state at a function am sure you will say let me hold the umbrella sir, but you know our political leaders have this mentality that they shouldn't be carrying load. |

1. It is normal to expect such reaction, change is a difficult thing especially when one interest is at stake. 2. Dont bother r about what they say behind you, it's normal, the good thing is they don't say it to your face and it means your respect is intact and you are still in charge. 3. Since you have contracted security to a company your complaints about there staff should be channelled to them in writing. 4. Dont get me wrong, you can correct them but once you observe insubordination I advise you inform them for a change with preference to someone living afar even if you will be augmenting the transport fare of the person. 5. It's time to start making alies, there must be one person that likes you. 6. Locate the leader, disabuse his or her mind, give incentives as suggested to the staff. 7. Dont react when you ought to react, talk less, care less. 8. Go for leadership seminar or get books on leadership by Sam Adeyemi etc. 9. How did your father died? 10.
