DoubleDeeX, I don't have time for unscriptural interpretation too. Let scripture interpret scripture and let's not try destroy scriptures with our own philosophies. You're so special that the same Holy Spirit never revealed this same serpent theory to Christ nor the Apostles. Again, quit promoting the serpent theory, it is completely foreign to the early church and Apostles' doctrine. |
Goshen360:BLESSINGS vs CURSES - 1 Today in the body of Christ, many preachers without the understanding, knowledge and revelation of the finished works of Christ still stand on the pulpit and preach\teach generational curse to people who Christ was already cursed for their sake. The doctrine of double punishment was never promoted by Christ nor the Apostles. Let us go into the word and see what the word has to say concerning blessings and curses before the cross and after Christ had gone to the cross. ...visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation... cc: Exodus 20v5, 34v7, Numbers 14v18, Deut. 5v9. All the above scripture are scripture BEFORE the cross and under an old covenant only with Israel. First of all, it will be unjust to the nature of God under a new covenant to use the terms and agreement of an old covenant to operate in a new. Second, God never through the Apostles taught double punishment to the church as it was with the above scriptures to the national Israel. Three, on the contrary, the new covenant says a different thing because, Christ had thereafter gone to the Christ. So, the Christian life should not be an experience as if Christ had not gone to the cross. ...And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more... cc: Hebrews 8v12, 10v17 Before the cross, God said he will visit the iniquities of the fathers on their children unto the 4th generation but after the cross, the Grace of God showed up and overtook the old covenant\sayings of God, because of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. Now, God said, He will not....meaning never will it happen! Friends, God is no longer punishing your father's sin\iniquity on you because you are now in Christ. Christ had been cursed in your stead and as such, the sayings in Exodus 20v5, 34v7, Numbers 14v18, Deut. 5v9 are no longer valid on you who are in Christ. Christ redeemed you, Christians from the curses of Exodus 20v5, 34v7, Numbers 14v18, Deut. 5v9 by becoming a curse himself for you - Galatians 3:13 and he did this so that he can return to you to the blessings of Abraham coming upon you being a Gentile Christian - Galatians 3v14. There's one thing that a man will do that will end his entire seed in curse and there one thing that a man will do that will place his whole seed in blessings. Life in Christ is a brand new life and because you are in Christ, Christ had done that one thing that had put in forever in blessings. You are no longer cursed neither are you a product of generational curses anymore - Glory to God! |
DoubleDeeX:The way you butcher scriptures baffles me! The serpent theory in Eden is satan inspired messages and I know the source. The serpent theory in Eden is completely foreign to the Christ's church and the Apostolic message. King James Bible For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:19 He didn't say by "sexual sin" but "by disobedience" to God. Sin entered the world when Adam disobeyed because all human race (including Eve) was in Adam as a seed of God. That's why every one also "in" Christ is reversed back to from the "sin nature". Quit promoting the serpent seed in Eden, it is satanic and unscriptural! |
colp2015:I agree with you. So, we the Lord has graced with the revelation of the finished work, let's carry it on to others. I will surely take time but slowly and steady |
The prayer of Paul, an Apostle of Christ is, that their eyes of understanding be open so that the will know their inheritance in Christ. These people are those who are in Christ, who Christ himself died for. They do not operate under a closed heaven since Christ was received into heaven. There's has never been a satanic agent obstructing the flow of Christ to her church because these satanic agents are already defeated and these people who Christ died for are sitted in heavenly place with Christ. |
I have read few comments but still reading. I think vooks has the best scriptural approach\truth to this subject with a little twist to what Gombs is saying. The scripture is plain and simple! |
I'll re - read, digest and comment later when I'm free. This tongue matter ehnn...no be small thing o. |
Gombs:Bidam deactivated but on another handle. ...u know as e dey go naw.... ![]() |
This woman sha....between success and failure is OPEN DOORS AND OPPORTUNITY IN LIFE. |
This is what happens in the body of Christ when people are trying to help the word of God, take the word out of context and teaching traditions of men. On the contrary, there's no where in scripture where marriage in the church was specified to Christians. Smh! |
Princewell2012:The problem here is, you yourself, you're using a system that is no longer valid and neither is it in force to interpret a system that is now valid. The is the same thing that Israel misunderstood the definition of terms. You are doing the same. That is, you when it says unclean, you "assume" it to mean, you will be defile or become unclean when you eat. The same is as of Peter in Acts 10:9-16. So in Christ, there's no condemnation for eating whatever you want to eat. New Living Translation So don't let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. Colossians 2:16 Now if God rejected them then not to be eaten because of his holiness and who he is, will he now accept and approve them to be eaten now? Yes, it is the same word of God that accept and approved it to be eaten now under the new covenant. Why? The old is no longer in force\operation and it will be unjust to use the old to govern the new. 2 - You must find out why God will reject it in the first place and later accept it. These old covenant is a covenant of performance unto God by Israel themselves that was laced with pride and boasting in their heart. Their actions and attitudes were so horrible in the wilderness that God had to wipe that generation off. I'll show you everything from the word of God in my next writing. So, God made everything so hard and difficult for them to do\obey 3. Like I said earlier, you will be making a big mistake trying to live up to an agreement that wasn't made to you. It's like you trying to pay a debt you never owed in the first place. So, if you're importing these eating of dog and pig because of being unclean, it has nothing to do with God's holiness and righteousness. That is a regulation God made so difficult for Israel so they can see the need for a saviour, Christ! I'll contribute more late. I don tire now! |
Princewell2012:God's holiness and righteousness is different from man's. This is exactly what Israel MISunderstood the DEFINITION OF TERMS under the old covenant and many preachers today are still preaching holiness as sinlessness. They teach righteousness as right behaviour. When we "assume" this is what the definition of terms means, we get ourselves in a big mess. Holiness means sanctified and set apart unto God. Righteousness means "right standing with God". It is when you are set apart unto God that you can produce a lifestyle AS ONE SET APART UNTO GOD, that is, you can live a holy life. It is when you are a right standing with God that you can live right. You will produce the stuff in you. Once in a while, you'll make mistake but you will learn, mature and handle things better. |
Princewell2012:Hi my brother, First, you have to understand that new covenant is not a complimentary document to the old; they are both completely different from start to finish. There's nothing in the old that was carried over to the new. Listen to what God Himself said: New Living Translation But when God found fault with the people, he said: "The day is coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and led them out of the land of Egypt. They did not remain faithful to my covenant, so I turned my back on them, says the LORD. Hebrews 8:8-9 The problem arise as a result of Christian people trying to patch the old and new together or mix them up as being complimentary to one another and then we end up confusing ourselves and causing confusion to the body of Christ as if the word of God contradicts itself. 2 - God had not changed but His operations and covenant had changed. When scripture says God does not changed, that means HIS PERSON AND ATTRIBUTES but not HIS OPERATIONS, WAYS, COVENANT. These are very clear from His word that God in His person had not changed but we read He changed and removed the old covenant in order to establish the new. In scripture, a change from old to new means it is REMOVED! Hebrews 7:12 3. YOU, as a CHRISTIAN are not under that old covenant. God didn't establish that old covenant with you as A CHRISTIAN but with national Israel who was then as type and shadow of the church. The church now being under a better and new covenant has a new and better covenant in the blood of Christ. 4. You will be MISinterpreting scriptures (WRONGLY dividing the word of truth) if you are using a system that is no longer valid neither is it in force (old covenant) to understand or interpret the system that is now in force and valid (new covenant). |
plappville:Thanks dear. I'm happy to always hear from you. On my way out now....you know say your brother na always on the move . Chat you later! |
Princewell2012: Anas09:I will I could you guys out but honestly, I'm a busy person. It's just that for now I'm a bit free that's why I'm available. When my job starts to get busy again, na go I dey so o....However, nobody can fetch or dig out the truth for you except you. You will need to sit with the word, study verse-by-verse, sometimes use bible dictionaries\concordance and\or lexicons to get word meanings, understand context etc and give yourself time, you will fall into the hand of the Spirit and when the Spirit consume you, you're good to go. Also, you'll need to flush out your system of what you're taught as a young Christian in the institutionalized setting and start afresh. |
We need to go back to the foundation. That is, the origin of "how the law came to be for Israel" NOT for Christians or the NT believers. But it's going to be a long write up for me here but I will walk you through it gradually with these points below: 1 - God never (originally) intended to give Law to Israel neither does He wanted to live by the Law. 2 - Israel was the initiator of the Law by their acts and God followed-up to give the law to prove to Israel what He was going to do in the end. Hence, the scripture: The Law having a shadow of GOOD THINGS TO COME BUT NOT THE VERY GOOD THING. 3 - The Law came in between the Abrahamic covenant and the new covenant. The new covenant is an offshoot of the Abrahamic covenant but now better in the blood of Christ. 4 - The Law in its entirety (including the 10 commandments) is canceled, null and void under the new covenant - you, Christians are dead to the law when Christ died on the cross. 5 - Studying the pre-law relationship between God and man, one will understand the new covenant better. Studying the relationship between God and man during the law dispensation, you will come to the full revelation of what Christ had done for you and you will never want to go back again to the era of the law dispensation. 6 - Israel NEVER understood or misunderstood and misinterpreted the definition of TERMS used under the old covenant. Hence, Christ came to define it and end the era of the law dispensation and proclaim the original intent of God. That is, taking man out of the equation and it's all NOW the Grace of God I will expand on these points later and also answer the quest of the OP. Y'all remain blessed. |
Won gbe oun ti mo je de ![]() I'll be back to contribute in details. |
I often see many Christians praying the prayer of David, perhaps when they sin or do something wrong or make a mistake\do something terrible like David did when he committed adultery with Bathsheba and killed the husband. This is not to endorse a practice of sinful lifestyle but to better put believers where they truly belong in the finished works of Christ. First, as a believer\Christian, you should know better that sleeping with another man\woman('s) spouse is a no go area for you so that is out of the point but what about other sins, little or big? There's a huge difference between the old covenant and the new. Under the old, David begged God or prayed that God should not take His Spirit from him - Psalm 51:11. In the new covenant which is a better covenant, God said, never will it happen that He will leave nor forsake us - Hebrews 13:5 and by Paul, the Apostle, God revealed to us that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit - Ephesians 1:13. So the question is, 1- Will a Christian loose the indwell of the Holy Spirit if or when they sin? 2 - Is the prayer of David in Psalm 51v11 still valid under the new covenant in the blood of Christ? |
Princewell2012:I got your email and replied you brother. I also replied on the other thread too. |
polymathic:1. A proper example I can think of right now is, when you pray, BELIEVE you already have what you pray for and you shall have it. When you fight against the kingdom of darkness, fight as one who already have victory in Christ not one FOR victory. 2. To understand some text, you have to do some questioning. So, question: what are the works of Abraham that Jesus was referring to? Was he saying just like Abraham tried to kill his son, we should do the same? b - Our obedience is not what blesses us - it is the obedience of Christ. This doesn't mean we don't obey or that our obedience is not required but the obedience that is required from us under the NT is obedience to the faith (in the finished works) of the Son of God. Berean Literal Bible For as indeed through the disobedience of the one man, the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One, the many will be made righteous. Romans 5:19 Berean Study Bible Through Him and on behalf of His name, we received grace and apostleship to call all those among the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith. Romans 1:5 |
spencerwilliams:See, the problem is, we criticize and judge wrongly of things we do not know. I careless if you're referring to me as false teachers, it doesn't matter brother but hear\listen to the truth. A single word most times mean more than one thing in scripture depending on context and how it is used. I can show you example but lemme go to what James is saying explaining my statement above: WORKS that James is referring to is NOT WORKS that makes things happen, it is WORKS that is produced or born out of your faith\believing. That is, a corresponding action that FOLLOWS what you believe NOT actions THAT MAKES WHAT GOD HAD ALREADY DONE TO HAPPEN AGAIN. If you go into details on the example of Abraham James cited, you'll realize it is FIRST the BELIEVE that justified Abraham but then, Abraham then FOLLOWED with works which was born AFTER HIS BELIEVE or which was a corresponding ACTIONS to what he believed NOT ACTIONS or WORKS to cause Abraham's justification. We need to stop just quoting scriptures out of context. God bless you! |
^ ^ ^ Blessed be God who had given us this revelation and we appreciate it's a blessing to you. I sure received your mail and replied you but unfortunately, I reside outside the homeland. I do visit once in every year. Hopefully, we keep contact and I'll let you know when my next home coming will be. Other than that, we can always fellowship on this forum. I'm a little relieve from my job now so, I have some time to do some teachings until I get busy with work again. |
Thanks brother. I'll bookmark and check it out. |
polymathic:1 - Malachi wasn't talking to you AS A CHRISTIAN but to the priests who was stealing from God by not remitting the OT tithe as commanded. Start reading from chapter 1 of Malachi and continue to pay attention to who the rebuke was directed to from verse to verse. I challenge you, it's just few chapters. No body will fetch the truth out for you, but you, yourself. 2. You pay attention to STUDYING (not reading) so you can rightly divide the word of truth. 3. You can't bear fruits by your own strength. You must first have the root, which is Christ in you. Then you can bear fruit. You're the branches, not the root and without Him, you can do nothing. 4. Salvation had in deed given you all things you need for life and godliness. The doing is not what you do to make such things happen again but doing as one who already have it. You are praying for victory and fighting the devil instead of fighting like a victor in Christ and fighting from a victorious standing. |
Here's the message the Spirit is sharing to the church of Christ As a NEW CREATURE in Christ, God had already blessed you in Christ (Ephesians 1:3,6; Gal. 3:14); delivered you (Col. 1:13) etc but some religious leaders are using the same old tricks of the serpent telling you to do something God never wanted you to do in order to become who you already are in Christ. They tell you you are under a curse if you don't pay tithe. What tithe did Adam paid when God pronounced him blessed (Gen. 1:28). They tell you to come for deliverance service - you are under a generational curse unto the forth\fifth generation because of what your fore-fathers did when God said to you as a new creature that, he'll not visit the iniquities of the fathers on their children especially when they turn to God (Hebrews 8:12). They tell you God is going to get you and punish you because of what you did right or didn't do right. They tell you to sow seed so you can be prospered and have breakthroughs etc As a new creature in Christ, you're already complete and need no addition (Colossians 2:10). You are everything you needed to be, not until you do something God never intended. You are what you are because you are in Christ and Christ's experience becomes your experience. It is not because you do something or don't do, it is by the reason of you being in Christ. In Christ, you're restored to the original setting of God before the fall of Adam. Stop letting what happened in the garden to continue to repeat itself in your new creature life by listening to these religious leaders doing the ministry of the serpent - telling you to do something to become what you already are in Christ for their own gains. Salvation is a complete package delivered to you in Christ via the Grace of God. In this salvation package, therein is your inheritance in Christ. You're the reason for the finished works of Christ. Until I come your way another time, enjoy the riches of His Grace! |
Hello friends, Scripture says, faith (Christ being the object) comes by hearing and hearing the word of God, that is, what God had said. Are you hearing or listening to what God had said or you're listening to the old tricks of the serpent propagated by the religious leaders in our today's world. What you listen to is very crucial to your faith. What is the serpent's message and how are the religious leaders propagating the same message today? I hope this message bless your soul as you read and understand so that your faith will not be futile but in the finished works of Christ for you. New American Standard Bible Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden '?" The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'" The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:1-5 There're so many things or issues to point out in this text but I\we will only focus on the serpent's message. What is it? The serpent's messages is disapproving or invalidating what God had said to man (as a new creature) by using the trick of what man already is without man knowing he is already in that status. Lemme put it better in another way: The serpent comes with the message: "when you eat, you eyes will be opened AND YOU WILL BE LIKE GOD...". Question: Were they already created LIKE God and in His Image? Yes! Genesis 1:27. So, the serpent tried to get them to do something God never wanted them to do in order to become what God had already made them. . |
Blessed you, @ OP! |
enilove:Again, we Christians try to force our ideology into scriptures instead of allowing it to speak for itself. That verse is pretty simple: Woe to you - You, who? It didn't leave us guessing. It tells us who the you is; that is, YOU, PHARISEES. Are you a pharisee? Are Christians pharisees? It is an insult to even suggest Christians to be pharisees in that context. The people Christ talking to here are not directed to his disciples but to pharisees. These pharisees in all bible records are ALWAYS AGAINST CHRIST AND EVERYTHING OF CHRIST AND CHRIST ALWAYS AGAINST THEM. So, they can't be tithing and Christ telling Christians with that rebuke that they should tithe because everything about them is against Christ and Christ against them. Lastly, we'll also give account of what we say that the word doesn't say to Christians in the new testament. We should stop importing old covenant text for Christians living under a new covenant\agreement because we'll be saying what God once said but no longer valid under a new contract. |
enilove:I see, but lemme help you more if we are to obey others\rest of the laws: 1. The disciples of Christ plucked corn in another man's farm but Christ said they are guiltless. What do you say to that? Matthew 12:1-8 2. Stoning rebellious and stuborn kids to death - Deuteronomy 21:18-21, do you obey this law? 3. Stoning adulterous folks to death - many Nigeria pastors should have been stoned to death o...what do you think? Lemme stop there but the truth is, the Mosaic law as a whole, was never given to Christians or Gentiles, but to Israel\Jews to lead them and guide them until Christ comes and\or to lead them to Christ, when they find Christ or when Christ comes, the law seizes, it function ends and the Spirit takes over and continue to teach those in-dwelled my the Spirit. |
enilove:This very verse, is the watch verse for the promoters of the Mosaic law on Christians or those who want to mix law and Grace not knowing the difference that both cannot mix. This verse is soo simple but still many Christians and Christian leaders are forcing their ideas, interpretation and reading into this text. Here is it: The 2 key words in that verse are "abolish" and "fulfill". This is so simple - Christ is\was saying, somethings written in the law (of Moses), I have not come to do away with them but to make them come to pass. The contrast between "abolish" and "fulfill" right there interprets itself that: something were written in the law of Moses about Christ, those things are what he came to fulfill....it doesn't mean that the law of Moses will continue to eternity. If the law was to continue and not to end, then many scriptures like the below will be wrong and we'll make the word of God a lie. King James Bible For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 10:4 This verse simple means, when Christ came, the law ended but however, I say, it has to be revealed. When Christ comes into the life of a man, the law ends! Romans 7:1-6, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) 7 Do you not know, brethren—for I am speaking to men who are acquainted with the Law—that legal claims have power over a person only for as long as he is alive? 2 For [instance] a married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives; but if her husband dies, she is loosed and discharged from the law concerning her husband. 3 Accordingly, she will be held an adulteress if she unites herself to another man while her husband lives. But if her husband dies, the marriage law no longer is binding on her [she is free from that law]; and if she unites herself to another man, she is not an adulteress. 4 Likewise, my brethren, you have undergone death as to the Law through the [crucified] body of Christ, so that now you may belong to Another, to Him Who was raised from the dead in order that we may bear fruit for God. 5 When we were living in the flesh (mere physical lives), the sinful passions that were awakened and aroused up by [what] the Law [makes sin] were constantly operating in our natural powers (in our bodily organs, [a]in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh), so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now we are discharged from the Law and have terminated all intercourse with it, having died to what once restrained and held us captive. So now we serve not under [obedience to] the old code of written regulations, but [under obedience to the promptings] of the Spirit in newness [of life]. Lemme stop on those two scriptures to make my response short. [20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. What does this verse mean? Take a look deeply! Is Christ saying: If the scribes and pharisees pray\fast 2 a day, If Christians don't pray\fast 4 times a day (that is, exceeding the righteousness of the scribes\pharisees), that Christians will not enter into the kingdom of heaven? Or if they give alms 10 times a years and if Christians don't give alms 20 times, we won't enter the kingdom of heaven? Listen bro, I have sat down with the word and understand by the Spirit that the righteousness Christ was talking about here is not of right doings but righteousness by imputation which is by faith in the finished works of Him, Christ. Righteousness of Christ imputed is the righteousness that exceed that of the scribes and pharisees - that is the righteousness that exceed that of the scribes and pharisees that makes you and I as Christians enter into the kingdom of heaven. |
enilove:There's absolutely nowhere Christians were taught to pay tithe. The Apostles never did. Jesus never taught it to His Apostles. How come or where do you get this from that Christians are expected to pay tithe? The mistake we, Christians make is that, we teach or assume everything written in the bible is to be practiced by Christians. Ours, that is, we Christians is the Apostolic teachings based on the foundations of Christ as the mediator of the new covenant. King James Bible And they (believers or early Christians) continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42. Well, we're just sharing in the word. If you know of a place where Christ taught tithe to His Apostles for them to continue or hand it down to the church, please feel free to share. |
