There's absolutely no reason for a christian to "continue or live a lifestyle" of sin. That's not what we're talking about. You can mention so called big and deadly sins but sin is sin. You don't commit murder but you lie, doubt and some very little sins, does that make you less a sinner?

So, we're not promoting a continuous lifestyle of sin here but as long as we live in this body, sin abound but where sin abound, Grace abound much more. Is Paul therefore promoting sin because grace abound much more? Certainly not!

Any baby Christian such as the corinthians will definitely fall into sins but the mature ones like Paul will correct them but not condemn them to hell.

In another place, he said, the GIFT and calling of God are without repentance.

Perhaps you are thinking GIFT is only used as regards ministry gift or spiritual gifts. He said the GIFT AND CALLING of God, telling you the nature of the Gift and calling of God.

Yes! He or she remain saved. The GIFTS and CALLING of God are irreversible/irrevocable.

2. The verse you quoted has nothing to do with being saved now, because the same corinthians ARE ALREADY SAVED but was wallowing in sin because of their background and environment.

3. The only thing that can make a christian loose his or her salvation is by denouncing the one he or she is in, that is THE LORD.

4. Sins doesn't UNBORN AGAIN a Christian. Sin and sacrifice for sins had been dealt with and paid once and for all times. When Christ returns, he's not returning to come deal with sins or sacrifice for sins no more....SAYS THE WORD OF GOD.

5. Ask yourself, does every sin or sins you committed but didn't even know it was a sin UNBORN AGAIN you?

6. Paul, didn't pamper the sins of the corinthians and we are not supposed to pamper sins in the church of Christ but Paul NEVER implied the Corinthians loose their salvation because of sin and later regained it back, rather he was hard on them and they REPENTED....that's what the verse you quoted is talking about.

7. The word "save, salvation, saved" are used to mean different meaning within its context. You cannot just lift bible verse from its context just because it mentioned save, saved or salvation, you have to follow the contextual meaning. That's one of the damages or error Image123 committed in his first response.

You wrote and implied that a Christian looses his salvation anytime he sins, and if he asks for forgiveness, he receives it back, and if he does sin again, the cycle continues.

My question is, was it forgiveness of sin or remission remission of sin that gave us salvation?

If your answer is the latter, how many times is one entitled to remission of Sin?

No mind that egbon jawe...too much seed no let am know wetin him dey type....I completely disagree with him too even though I was going to reply him in details but too long...kind of lazy these days because of work and rest time but I'm following and reading everyone opinion but it's bible sound doctrine that will stand in the end.

I believe one can ONLY LOOSE his salvation the same way he got it. If he knowingly rejects Jesus as his Lord with the same mouth he used to confess Jesus as Lord.

The concept of the sin of the father shall be visited on his sons and generation seems like an unjust judgement...

Why must the punishment for the evil sins of a father who killed, looted, commited adultery and so on, be melted on an innocent child who has no control over the family he enters into and has not commited any sin ?

Why shld the doer not be punished for his offence ? There are scenarios in the word where even after the father sins and he is forgiven, punishment will still be pronounced on the unborn children even up to the 4th generation ?

There's absolutely nothing like this doctrine in the new covenant. You are bringing the old to explain the new covenant, it doesn't work. In the new covenant, the same God said, their sins and iniquities I will remember no more. So, how is someone going to be punished for a sin or iniquity that's not even remember?

If you are a Christian you are not under the law of tithing. However it is a good thing if you choose to give a tenth of your income to the church.

If you understand that the church of Jesus Christ is universal then giving your tithe to your brother (who I assume is also part of the universal church) is not different from giving it to your local church. So I will say help your brother and do not feel guilty about it. It is an act of love and kindness that God appreciates more than a religious act of giving tithe to your pastor just to be in the good books of your local church or of your own feelings.

Most simple and mature response so far from the word. Grace be multiplied unto you my Apostle!

Okay, this is a challenge I need a solution to. My parents are saying no money no money when it is obvious that they have. My little brother is home because he has outstanding fees so I was wondering if I should give him my tithe to pay part while I pay the tithe next month when I get my next salary, I don't know what to do.

Mods please move it to fp, I need urgent solution to this.

Hebrews 7 completely nullified and canceled tithes and tithing for the new testament believers. Study in depth and be free from every yoke of bondage.

It says cover the HEAD not the HAIR and it went further to say the HAIR is GIVEN TO A WOMAN AS THE COVERING which tells me that going bald head for a woman is what is not being encouraged.

It is adding human sentiments to the word of God that makes some people say you still have to use a scarf to cover your HAIR. There's no such thing in the word of God, it's painly written.

The church is NOT the building according to the word of God. The church is the "called out" ones. You are called out from the world into the family of God when your repent and believe the Lord Jesus.

You can't call out a building and a building can't repent. When you're called out, you are supposed to fellowship with other called out one and that could be one or two according to the word of God.

The meaning of "church" today is loosed and lost that's why you're told to come to church. YOU, BEING A CHURCH CANNOT GO TO A CHURCH. YOU, BEING A CHURCH CAN ONLY FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER CHURCHES.
