8. Oxana Malaya, The Ukrainian Dog Girl

Date found: 1991
Age when found: 8
Location: Blagoveshchenka, Ukraine
Years in the wild: 5
Animals: dogs

Not really either a feral child or a confined child, but rather a neglected one, Oxana Malaya spent much of her childhood between the ages of 3 and 8 living in a kennel in the back garden of the family home in Novaya Blagoveschenka, Ukraine, although she did spend some time in the house with her alcholic and neglectful parents.
Oxana’s alcoholic parents were unable to care for her, and at three years of age she was exiled from her home. They lived in an impoverished area where there were wild dogs roaming the streets. She took refuge in a shed inhabited by these dogs behind her house. She was cared for by them and learned their behaviors and mannerisms. The bonding with the pack of dogs was so strong that the authorities who came to rescue her were driven away in the first attempt by the dogs. Her actions and sounds mimicked those of her carers. She growled, barked, walked on all fours and crouched like a wild dog, sniffed at her food before she ate it, and was found to have acquired extremely acute senses of hearing, smell and sight. She only knew how to say “yes” and “no” when she was rescued.
When she was discovered, Oxana found it difficult to acquire normal human social and emotional skills. She had been deprived of intellectual and social stimulation, and her only emotional support had come from the dogs she lived with. Oxana’s lack of exposure to language in a social context made it very difficult for her to improve her language skills. When first found in 1991 she could hardly speak.
As of 2010 at the age of 26, Oxana resides at a home for the mentally handicapped, where she helps look after the cows in the clinic’s farm. She has expressed that she is happiest when among dogs.

Christianity EtcRe: How To Unlock God's Call On Your Life by GreatManBee: 7:36am On Apr 12, 2017
neduboy17:
God has an undeniable calling on your life.

That is true on the days when you feel like your life has deep significance and is counting for eternity, and it is equally true on the days when you feel like you never accomplish anything more significant than tackling a pile of dirty laundry.

Paul says in Ephesians 4:1: “As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” The calling he speaks of was not exclusive to the church at Ephesus – you and I are included that “you”. You HAVE received a calling – strong and sure – from the Lord!

A calling from God does not necessarily mean you will become a full-time minister or be sent to Africa to do missions work.

A calling from God DOES mean that the sum total of who you are – your past, present, and even your future, your experiences, your failures, your pain, your hopes and dreams – has vast value in His Kingdom. Nothing is wasted.

A calling from God also means that He has lovingly crafted plans specifically for you to accomplish great things in His kingdom, and to fully embrace your life and daily live for His glory. Right now, no matter what your circumstances might say to the contrary.
HOW CAN WE UNLOCK THAT CALL?

Paul’s answer may surprise you like it did me! He doesn’t send us to a seminar, or ask us to make a list of all our top qualities that we can offer to God. Instead, Paul urges us to unlock the call by living in a manner that is worthy of it:

1. To live UP to our potential in Christ we must first lay DOWN our rights – “Be completely humble and gentle…(Eph 4:2)”

2. Walk out life with those around us in love and patience – “Be patient, bearing with one another in love (Eph 4:2)”

3. Be peacemakers and highly value unity in the Body of Christ – “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Eph. 4:3)

The key to unlocking God’s calling on our lives is to turn from our pride and selfishness and turn to the humble, patient, Servant King, and thus become like Him.

He also unlocked God’s call on His life by laying down His rights, walking out life with those around Him in love and patience, and valuing unity among God’s people. In that place of submission, and only in that place, we are living lives worthy of our calling.
n that place of humility and valuing others above ourselves, we are positioned for God to use us and expand the calling. And then look out – there’s not telling what God has in store! Whatever it is, it will be specifically tailored to your incredible uniqueness, and lovingly crafted with your gifts and talents in mind. In short, it will be something only God can accomplish. Will you join me?

“Father, I pray today that by your grace you would lead each one of us into the fullness of your call on our lives. Help us to walk away from our pride and selfishness, and to embrace humility, patience, loving kindness, and peace. Cause us to live lives worthy of your calling, and may your specific call on each our of lives be completely, beautifully, and joyfully fulfilled. For Your glory, amen.”

With faith, hope, and love.

Thanks. I once met a elderly man in home town, Ondo state precisely. He spoke some deep Yoruba language. My friend and I thought it was an incantation but he told us it's the Ijinle Yoruba language that he was speaking. I was amazed. This Ijinle Yoruba is much deeper and may not be understood by some new age Yoruba people.

Second, of course everything is conjecture, even your own claim of Nok culture, unless you can tell us that you went back in time to find out. In other words no one knows anything for sure.

Third, some of the word comparison in the link may sound strange to you, but You'll be surprised that they sound very close to some other Yoruba dialects like Ondo and Ijebu, what we invariably refer to as ede adugbo in Yoruba.

So, that you don't recognize it doesn't mean it doesn't exist in Yoruba. Also it could be Ijinle Yoruba, deep or conc. Yoruba.

The researcher provides a strong case for his arguments and all I've done is to bring it out for a scholarly discussion. I hope you get that.
What is Ijinle Yoruba please.?

The smart ones will increase their stock of dollars, i repeat, the smart ones will increase their stock of dollars!!!!
Funelling millions of dollars into the forex maket on a daily basis, is a stupid short term solution to a longer term problem, which i assume is just a calculated move to score cheap political points.the price of Oil, the major foreign exchange earner is still very low, with opec struggling to stick with its production quota, any sensible human will evisage a further drop in oil prices, as the world moves to cleaner energy, and opec member nations continue to ignore the organizations agreements. Though slow, a long term policy of import substitution and agressive exportation through economic diversification would ultimately lead to a precipitous decline in the dollar price, but what do we have, a government still spending billions on oil prospecting, foreign direct investment at an all time low, and one of the worst economic contraction in recent times, yet some fools still cheer this fire brigade method of pumping dollars into the market for school fee payments and tourism, things that only end up driving exports higher, further complicating balance of payment problems.
Producers who need forex the most do not get them, these people are supposed to be top priority, expecially the agricultural sector and the mining sector, agressive importation of producer goods is the top priority of any country that seeks to curb foreign exchange problems in the long run, these producers should have government acting as payment agents(in dollars) after these purchases have been verified by the cbn, while these producers pay in naira at subsidized rates, but what do we have, a government subsidizing payments for pilgrimage and other bullshït of little to no economic significance.
Call me a pessimist, that's your opinion, buth when the inevitable consequence of this stupid move raises its ugly head, there will be no one to save the naira!!!!!

I tot you are Yoruba nahuh

Alright let me try.

The past is shrouded in mystery, all we are left with of the pre-historic era are words built around heroes of the culture, some classic artifacts and certain puzzling patterns that if harnessed may help our understanding of Yoruba history for instant.

Such patterns exist in fixed oral text, place names and genealogical traditions kept in Yoruba families. The elements of Yoruba history is linked to Yoruba family pedigree. We need to harness such and sift history from it, rather than invent history.

Yoruba spoken word is very potent, many secrets are concealed in Yoruba spoken words thann you have in the heart of men. Yorubaland for instance is not Yorubaland from inception, but 'ile Aye' or 'home of the matriarch' so who was the matriarch?

The saying 'aye loja orun nile" implies that Yoruba migrants came to do business in Yorubaland and look to a time they will trace their origin back to their wellsource. I understand the same phrase has different connotation here and now, that's religious muddling up tradition.

Now, the Oja is establishing colonies in this part of Africa by 'awon omo ara Ye' (kindred of the matriarch). The head of each colony is Oloja, as in one who discover a habitable colony. The search parties involved were the Owas and their activity is imule, possessing the land.

These people came through the sea, hence some of the earliest Yoruba enclaves can be found at the sea, inclusive of Lagos Island, which is the earliest Yoruba harbour as old as ile-ife. At least Oduduwa was not the foundind father of Yoruba population but Yoruba-empire.

So. Where did the inhabitants of Yoruba before the meccan-ife oduduwa came from? Did the arrival of Oduduwa translate to sudden appearance of the Yoruba from nowhere? My joker is, the tradition usually drawn to support Oduduwa coming from the sky was a stretch from odu iwori, which rhymes with Awori.

The Owa are the same as Awo (sightseers, seers) and that's where Orunmila and Ifa made history as pioneers and founding fathers who brought the viceroy, the true Oduduwa, the matriarch to Yorubaland. Her retinue own many place in ancient Yoruba, ile-ife was her possession too. Hence she was the first Ooni Ife.

This is my story.
CultureRe: Eredo, Ijebu - The World's Largest Man-made Structure by GreatManBee: 11:41pm On Mar 23, 2017
absoluteSuccess:
With due respect, I think the Yoruba scholars are complacent lot. They are jinxed to 'the ultimate-answer' given them in in Ile-ife origins of the Yoruba, now what is left to do is deny every other paragraph that comes before and after the source of this claim as if the early scholars who mention ife were fools to be discredited, biting the fingers that put you in the limelight.

Our history in modern times is about argument for or against what we used to believe as history, no spirited effort to confirm as true the conclusions of old but to debunk such while retaining a part: why not discard off the old and start afresh? Isn't your assumption that early claims being tinted with religious sentiments not tinted with inability to sift fact from fiction to unravel facts?

Now how does your tradition of origin solve the eredo paradox? They will also come here as soon as this thread hit the frontpage to discredit everything connecting it with the outside world, but would never resolve the mystery of who, when or how. Because they are too complacent to research but eager to protect the 'ultimate answer' as the almighty formula for Yoruba history.

Our people are too feeble to think and too scared to ask questions. The ones who were beneficiary of the urban legend works to quench the investigative spirit of anyone who rise to challenge them, but fact also elude them other than the regular coverup that never sound scientific or far reaching but self-serving. Let's wait and see. This is the relics of an empire lost in time.

This points back to a legendary woman: Mr. Oduduwa, what did you accomplish for Yoruba? How did you succeeded in putting your children on the throne in all realms without any history of confrontations? Are you an Uthman Dan Fudio? How did all your children became kings and had no trace of personal name but title of kingdoms as their names?

Sungbo had a name and memorial landmark to her greatness!

BusinessRe: 6 Things Successful Entrepreneurs Have In Common by GreatManBee: 1:01pm On Mar 16, 2017
Yarnvibes:
Being an entrepreneur is not a child’s play. It takes a lot of guts and conviction for you to take the bold step to become an entrepreneur. More so if you are in Nigerian. When these entrepreneurs are eventually successful, there are certain things that they do or have in common that result in these achievements. So what are these things? Jumia Travel , the leading online travel agency identifies some of these things. This will help budding and young entrepreneurs to take similar actions or steps.

1. They believe in their ideas
Successful entrepreneurs don’t wait for anyone to validate their ideas. This is because they have invested a reasonable time in researching the workability and practicability of the ideas before sharing it with potential investors and friends. So, whether your friend or investor believes in your idea, they are not worried, they pursue it to a viable conclusion. Their positivity will always rub off on those around them.

2. They find solutions to problems
Entrepreneurs easily find solutions to problems and provide answers via a product or service. This is why it is essential to conduct market research to test your solutions. When you have a market, be sure that your solution will solve the problem your target market has.

3. They delegate
Successful entrepreneurs don’t do everything on their own. Except you want to experience entrepreneurial burnout, you will always delegate. What you should delegate are the things you have little or no knowledge about.

4. They go the extra mile
Entrepreneurs are never satisfied with doing things haphazardly. They are exhaustive and if they need to go the extra mile, they will. In going the extra mile, they sacrifice a quite a number of things.

5. They schedule everything
As a business man, your schedule is always tight. You are always in one meeting or another. The only way you can manage yourself and time is by scheduling everything. Don’t postpone anything. Be at home when you are supposed to and go on vacation to Obudu Resort when you are meant to.

6. They invest in their own skills
Whether you are an entrepreneur or not you should always hone your skills. Successful entrepreneurs never hesitate to educate themselves.

RomanceRe: Embrace your Marital Script. by GreatManBee: 9:10pm On Mar 09, 2017
Toks2008:
Often times when it comes to getting married, many Guys and ladies have specific plans, dreams, fantasies and they try so hard to make it a reality.

We see different cases where some men propose in different locations and in different manners...some go on their knee while some interrupt public shows to propose and one football player got a card because he proposed to his lady during the game and not forgetting the pre-wedding pics, the choice location for the wedding, the glamor and so on and this has made many ladies and guys have a specific mindset of how theirs should be and if it does not turn out the way they want...they get so curled up in emotional sullenness.

This write up is to encourage ladies as well as guys never to look at the marital script of another as a yardstick for theirs because just as every actor on a stage have different scripts...we as actors in the world stage do have different scripts and we must learn to embrace it not only in our marital journey but in all aspects of life.

The fact that your friend had her man propose to her in a big way does not mean yours must do same and the fact that your friend had her wedding in Dubai does not make you a second class bride if you choose to have yours in the open field opposite your house in the village.

-If your man proposes in the closet without any ring and you want to be with him...EMBRACE IT

-If your man says he does not want an elaborate wedding and you want to be with him...EMBRACE IT

-If you had dreamt of having children after marriage but you find yourself becoming a single mum please don't despair...EMBRACE IT.

-Your friends are getting married every week and you are well advanced in age and you begin to ask yourself what is going on...please relax and stop being hard on yourself...EMBRACE your story and be positive.

-If you ever find yourself virtually proposing marriage to your man please...EMBRACE your script....not all married ladies were proposed to.

The epitome of this write up is that you must brace up to embrace your marital journey which ever way it presents itself but by trying to use the script of another, you may end up missing your path.

A good marriage is not defined by the one day glamour or by how young or old the couple is at the time of wedding so stop competing and stop comparing..

It's your life,your journey,your script...EMBRACE IT.

We live in a world filled with lot of cyber-crime.Have you ever been hacked? Am sure you'll agree with me that been hacked comes with a terrible feeling of being insecured. Bank account details, or mails been released to the cyber world. If you’ve been a victim of cyber-hacking, there’s a high probability that the hacker used one of theses methods outlined below.

Trying common passwords
The first thing a hacker tries when trying to snoop into your personal accounts is 'trying random common passwords'. It may sound silly but most average internet users still use passwords that consists of few letters. Although, trying common passwords are not always a hit, but they're worth trying and if it the hacker makes a hit, he'll just probably sit back and pop a little whiskey.

Using repeated passwords
Should a hacker still fail to guess a password, they’ll have to start breaking out some true hacking skill – but perhaps not much. Most people use the same password on multiple sites, and many use just one password for everything. Hackers know this, and they also know that many sites have weak security.

Using the information found while reviewing your social networking profiles, a hacker may be able to identify sites you visit. Some are sure to be heavily guarded, e.g Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. However, in a technical sense, nothing is really guarded in the cyber world. If Yahoo and other Top IT companies can be hacked, then real internet security is just a mere dream. So if the hacker visits a low guarded site, he extracts your account information from the site and unluckily for you, you happen to share the same account login information with the site the hacker;s trying to get in, thats an easy way of saying "You have been hacked".

Phishing
This is the one of the most commonly used tools by cyber-crimetivists. It is the most commonly used method because it actually depends on how the hacker tricks an unsuspecting internet user to follow up on a link and input login details into the site. This login details is now stored on the server, and the hacker can access later on and input on the desired website. Common examples are fake facebook login pages.

Keylogger attack
This hacking tool is very similar to Phishing and is generally spread through malware infection. The victim is usually trapped into installing a keylogger on his/her PC/Laptop by clicking on an attachment is sent to victim email. The moment you download the attachment, it scans through your browser. Once installed, the keylogger records all your Internet activity which is than relayed back to the command and control servers.

BruteForce attack
Brute force is about overpowering the computer’s defenses by using repetition. Brute force attack is a random trial and error method hack repeated till the password is finally cracked, However some websites or companies have a trial limit. For example, If a user inputs a wrong password more than 3 times, the system automtically locks out the user for a specific period of time; thereby, reducing the probability of hackers gaining something out of bruteforcing. Hackers randomly keep applying names and numbers to crack password through this pattern. Sometimes, a lot of guesswork is also used to decode password. Arithmetic numbers, birth date, pet’s name, favourite actor’s name are the password that users commonly use.
https://www.freewordexcelpassword.com/images/big%20pics/bruteforce_attack.jpg

Rainbow table
This method requires a good knowledge of computers and coding.Rainbow Tables are basically huge sets of precomputed tables filled with hash values that are pre-matched to possible plaintext passwords. The Rainbow Tables essentially allow hackers to reverse the hashing function to determine what the plaintext password might be. It’s possible for two different passwords to result in the same hash so it’s not important to find out what the original password was, just as long as it has the same hash. The plaintext password may not even be the same password that was created by the user, but as long as the hash is matched, then it doesn’t matter what the original password was.
This allow for passwords to be cracked in a very short amount of time compared with brute-force methods, however, the trade-off is that it takes a lot of storage (sometimes Terabytes) to hold the Rainbow Tables themselves, Storage these days is plentiful and cheap so this is not a big issue for hackers.

I blame the govt for this...
China has banned all forms of Ponzi scheme and wonder banks, and is in good control of its economy.

but in Nigeria, everyone wants to convert all the naira they have into bitcoin, billion coin, iPhone gift token etc... all this place pressure on the naira, as every tom, dick and harry is now demanding for the dollar, and the economic rule that once there is high demand, value shoots up... comes into plane... and no matter the amount of dollar pumped in, people will still rush to buy and convert to all these wonder banks.

and Nigerians instead of working will rather pump in the money, go back home to sleep, and pray for the value of their currency to fall, so that they make more money...

We are the ones contributing to our misfortune..but another peculiar thing about Us is we love to blame...and Buhari has no cert, hence the perfect person for us to blame for our misfortunes.. *We are the ones screwing ourselves up*
