Op, the decision of what to do is in your hands. Whether you call it demonic possession or ET possession, it's a matter if semantics and either by Church or by cosmic science route, you can have your deliverance. But you've been to some churches before concerning this, right? Ask yourself how worse it can get. Then make a decision. let me tell you that most things work according to your belief. |
totit:Always bringing Igbos into your woes. nawa o... |
frankly speaking Op, there are schools with worse payment systems. ABSU for instance demands about 50k just for acceptance fee into PG programs. You can imagine the total amount you'd be required to pay before you get your certificate. The fact is that the educational system in Nigeria is very deplorable with lack if funding and corruption topping the list. It's a reflection of the general ills in thr country. For now, if you can, run your PG program in s university in the country and if you can not, get the hell out of the system and school somewhere else outside the country. when you come back and still meet the status quo, you do your best to effect change. |
if after all these warnings Anambra people still allow themselves to be manipulated by boycotting the election, then they deserve exactly what they will get. Atimes I wonder who bewitched the Igbos. They call the country a zoo, and still expect the country to treat them fairly and with regards to the constitution in event that they boycott the election. well, we're all watching. I know many people will change nairaland moniker while Anambra becomes the laughing stock of others. |
It's funny how these people keep on pushing out Edo State. SS doesn't wsnt Edo, SE doesn't want them, even SW is reluctant to have Edo. Hmmm... Na wa o |
asuustrike2009:I hope to remember to quote you after the protest. So what did we achieve with the protest? |
If he likes, let him stay there as president forever, what I know is that before 2019,a lot of his supporters now will turn to his greatest adversaries as it is already happening. If they want to turn this country to hell-hole,good for them, but we'll be here to counter their lies and blame shifting when the time comes. |
Personally,I'm not in support of this protest. What does it aim to achieve? Will it make Buhari to sit up,when already he has no clue as to how to better this country? Buhari is just like rubber stamp - he only does what his cabals want him to do,and those cabals have other agenda not in the in interest of Nigerians. The country is practically on autopilot. When next election comes, people will shut up and listen to the voice of reason. |
SalamRushdie:So you even supported Buhari during the election and you're here sounding off in the mouth? If so, then you're part of the problem - a large part of it. |
Aufbauh:You're already rejoicing, aren't you? They'll be charged to court where it will be determined if they committed any crime or not. Go ahead and celebrate the arrest not even minding if your tribesman was arrested as well. One day, they'll come for you or your tribesman, and that day you'll start calling us for a mass protest again. Bunch of ignorant people everywhere! |
What exactly is Buhari doing differently than what GEJ did in this Boko haram crises? |
NewNigeriaMind:Alright, bad people with all those vices you mentioned exist everywhere, but specifically, hatred, envy and jealousy for other people from other tribes because of their successes in their chosen fields are more common in some particular regions, and that is a fact. About the instance you gave concerning where you live, you can't solely attribute it to your being from a different tribe from the tailor. It could just be normal unnecessary pomposity that people have for others everywhere in the country. Yeah,I know there wasn't much recorded cases of abandoned property in the SW post civil war unlike in some other places, and for that I do hail the SW people. Anyway,I understand your points and I'm sure you understood mine in relation with the topic of this thread. |
Buhari is not the major problem. The major problem is people who voted for him against all sound reasons and people who still support him and refuse to believe he has failed. Those people, unfortunately, are very many and would still keep this nation in this current mess. |
NewNigeriaMind:You're still missing the point here. The thread is not talking about discrimination in employment which is quite national problem. When you come to a region not yours, you legitimately rent a shop, start up a business and when you start doing well, you'll see the indigenes start "winching" you and clamoring that you leave their place - that is what I'm talking about. That is pure hatred and envy, especially when they know that you're from a particular tribe. That is what I tell you you hardly find in the east. in the east,it's live and let live. Can you compete with the people there in your business choice? If yes, then you're very welcome. |
NewNigeriaMind:You're right, there are criminals everywhere, but this is not what this thread is all about. It's about discrimination and hatred because you're from a particular tribe. That is something you'll hardly find in the east. A lot of people from SW and other parts of the country live and function peacefully in the east without any form of discrimination. They're not treated differently than Igbos. You don't see Igbos "winching" them or carrying placards and whining that they should leave the SE. |
Op,don't mind all those castigate you for your decision not to participate in the protest. Most of them are people who voted for this incompetent government against sound reasons. They were warned severally, but they refused to listen. They called us wailers and IPOBs,now things are not going as they thought they would, they now want to protest. Let them go ahead and protest,by next election time, they'll use their heads. Bunch of ignorant people who would never accept that they don't know anything. |
HtwoOw:Will there ever be a time you'll make effort to reason with your brain? Someone will think he's having a rational discussion with you and next thing, you veer off awkwardly displaying your inherent mental deformity. |
Useless Bloggers... This is why you'd be reporting for decades and would never break even... Why single out only Abia state since Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom were also mentioned? Is it just to create unnecessary sensation and foment trouble between the states or what? Rubbish!!! |
When he just got elected,he partitioned the country by calling some 97% and others 5%,we complained and you rejoiced and mocked us the more. Now you want everybody to come together and protest? A protest that you should have made earlier during the election by not voting for Buhari. Let the people who gave him 97% go for the protest. |
Hmmmm |
graychuks:Just look at you,Mr brave man. You want people who will join you in the name of protest and be used as shooting targets and at the end of the day, you'll turn around in your usual back-stabbing way to say "IPOB hijacked the protest so they deserved to be shot"... My friend, carry your cross alone, when they warned you not to vote for Buhari, did you listen? |
I didn't finish the whole bullshit... You can never expect honest answers from that two-faced both-mouth speaking protege of Lai Mohammed called Adesina. |
Another northerner? What happens to other ethnic groups? Let them keep on rotating it among themselves and the nation will continue experiencing these crisis. When they're ready for progress,we will know. |
niyot124:Learn how to read and understand beyond the mere words you see... |
Let those who voted for this government come out for the protest. SE/SS,don't allow yourselves to be used as sacrificial lambs; when they're ready for progress,we'll know. |
This woman should just gerrout! You helped to foist this government on us and you're here whining. Just shut up and go cook for your husband. |
Nigeria is a lawlessness nation where anything goes. This shouldn't come as a surprise. In Nigeria,as we know, anything can happen. |
Emeskhalifa:You don't need to struggle Bro. God understands our weaknesses. Just believe in him like a little child completely trusts in his parents. Work hard in your daily affairs and leave the rest for him. He told us somewhere in the Bible that we don't have to worry about anything. Do your best and leave the rest for him; he's more than capable. I'm saying this from first-hand experience. |
ImperialYoruba:Abraham! How could you say this: "...To celebrate and jubilate the constitution of another country on the soil of the Nigerian Sovereingty is a treasonable act..."? Who told you this? Quote the section of constitution that supports the above you said. I just don't know who brainwashed you guys so. Your problem is lack of foresight. You'll feel it's ok for them to kill innocent civilians in a solidarity rally, while forgetting that tomorrow it may be your own people. Why can't you say the truth for once or shut up? This is the reason a lot of people have come to know you guys as chameleons. |
adem30:It's easy for you to hide behind the anonymity of the internet and berate the Igbos, but when in your privacy, right deep in your heart, you'd always wish you were Igbo. You'd see Igbos and see how blessed in all ramifications they are,and your heart would be filled with envy and hatred. Well,Igbos don't care what you or anyother person for that matter think of them. They don't even consider you as competitors. |
ImperialYoruba:I feel pity for you. A group of people is yearning and asking for self determination, and you're mocking them... Smh for you. Is it a crime for you to be on your own? Is your destiny tied with others? Can't you survive on your own? You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself. |
Op,your post is riddled with several false assertions. First of all,Biafra is not an Igbo thing; a lot of ethnic groups who are not Igbos identify with Biafra ( I don't know how many times it will be drummed into your head before you understand this). Secondly, the issue of who owns portharcourt has been rehearsed here many times. Portharcourt was formally known as Iguocha or ugwuocha ( see: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Harcourt ). Iguocha or Igwuocha is a typical Igbo word no matter how you look at it or twist it. And the area was known as part of Igboland before even before colonization. These are simple facts that are easily verifiable. Ikwerres speak Igbo language, their names are Igbo, the names of their towns and villages are Igbo, and even the names of the kings you listed above are mainly Igbos. So what else are you saying? The highest form of deceit is self deception. |
