Olabestonic001:Oga,i never mentioned Ijaw or NDA in my post you quoted. Please read my post again. I'm talking about the whole SS people, and you managed to sneak in only a portion of SS. What's my business if the core NDA is only Ijaw? Are you now insinuating that NDA is only championing Ijaw cause? Please reread my post again. |
tuale4u:You see Op,the Igbos - SE - are pain in the asss... You don't know what to do with them. If you champion for an only SS people independent country, excluding the indigenous Igbos there in places like Delta,Rivers,Akwa Ibom etc,you risk losing the land, oil and other resources there; if you say ok,you should include them in your agitation for SS republic, then automatically, you're including the rest of the Igbos in SE. Because Igbos who have mixed up very well with their indigenous kins in SS will troupe en masse in those areas and blend in very well. And you won't be able to differentiate. You see the problem here? So when people promote the SS cause and mock the SE, the knowledgeable ones just laugh at them. NB: the Igbos don't give a hoot about the oil in SS. People who care about the oil are the ones who colonize the oil wells in your backyards, give you a small percentage for them, and you protest, they call you terrorists and prosecute you. |
GloriaNinja:"Abakaliki people ThINKS"? You should focus more on improving your spoken/written English. |
Op,I like your post. You seem to have figured out most of the things that would normally confuse most people of your age. However,i'd like to point out something though...i guess it'd be of great help to you. Your no 3,you said "never mistake talent for a skill",right? And you went ahead to explain how you believe you're multitalented but don't know which area you should focus on. I want to tell you that it's actually very much ok to be multitalented and be a specialty in the different fields. This attribute is not very common, and you have it for a reason. Most of the things you see in the world today like great evergreen music, discovered laws and theories, inventions etc were birthed by people who were/are multitalented. Albert Einstein,Aristotle, Pythagoras,Da vinci and a whole lot of others were multitalented, breaking boarders across varrying fields of arts, music, science etc. So it's good to be multitalented and master of all. Don't limit yourself; push yourself as much as you can. You never know what destiny has in stock for you. |
DaBullIT:Guy take a chill pill... The Op said "Humdrum" not "Hoodlum". Two different things. |
deen11:Dumbest comment ever... So the opposition has no hand in the violence? Mtcheew. |
OLAADEGBU:Na you be bad belle here... A comment of how many weeks ago. Na now you wake up from your slumber? |
Another brainwashed impostor that feels Igbos are his problem... |
MyGeneration:Ebonyi state i think,is best for Agricultural and Industrial hub. Ebonyi state is one state that has been underrated and possibly ignored over the years, but is full of very amazing potentials in the areas i mentioned above. If you're opportuned to go round the state, you'll find out that Ebonyi has large fertile lands that can be adequately harnessed for Agriculture, coupled with huge natural mineral deposits. Her challenge basically,is right orientation and empowerment to implement current technology in achieving these. But efforts are currently on-going in this direction. The state government like i mentioned earlier,is focusing mainly on building enabling environment for these developments to take place not withstanding the meagre funds and decays left by previous governments. Another thing,Ebonyi state has a water boundary with cross-river state and boundaries with some other states. This i think positions it strategically. |
betterABIAstate:Bros,Ebonyi state is not doing badly at all... The governor there is on fire. He's really fixing roads and some basic infrastructure massively... Ebonyi might have started a bit slowly, but she's really catching up. |
We're all watching how Elections under Buhari have turned to bloodshed, mayhem and violence that have seemed to characterize his Government. |
Obiano should shun all advances from APC and remain focused,he's already written his name in the sands of time. I predicted this some years back that Anambra will likely become the best developed and most economically viable state in Africa. And to top it up,other SE states are towing the positive line. Good times are here again for the people of SE and their well wishers. |
This is very serious... Imagine the effontery! Committing such heinous crime and rubbing it in their faces! Hmmm... You see what you guys who voted in their patron have caused? |
When you travel outside the country, you go about shouting that Boko Haram has been defeated, the gullible ones will scream "sai Baba" and let down their guards, only for them to be counted as casualties. |
FOLYKAZE:Yes,i said No,Fg told you and your fellow IPODS that boko haram has been defeated. |
obailala:My comment was straight to the point. PROMISING to restrict cattle grazing after so many hues and cries is one thing, but fulfilling the promise is another thing. I'm simply warning people to be cautious, and that they should take those promises with a pinch of salt going by the Fg's track record on promises. Simple. |
Hagmond:You just gave yourself away for a penny with this your post. You just told us why you guys hate the Igbos... |
FOLYKAZE:You're the one lying to yourself. Where did i say that Boko haram has been COMPLETELY DEFEATED? Read what i wrote again and then reason if the Fg has told us that many times or not. |
obailala:Would you rather preferred people went about their normal lives based on the so-called promises of Fg? People shouldn't be cautious again knowing fully well how many promises Buhari and co had backed down on? |
I didn't even bother reading the whole post since it's about promises. They tell us Boko Haram has been defeated, only for people who are dumb enough to go back there to be counted as casualties. Nigerians should know better than to live based on the promises of this government. |
DaBullIT:king of the Hausas in Lagos? I thought it was only the Igbos that had kings in SW. |
I remember vividly some few months back before Buhari took over, how the Nigeria was globally acclaimed as one of the fastest growing Economies and the largest in Africa. We saw a lot positive economic activities going on in the country; the agric sector was booming; foreign investors were trooping into the country; businesses were opening up and expanding; countries were practically tripping over themselves to partner with Nigeria; and Nigeria hosted world economic forum. All these were achieved not by serial senseless foreign trips, but by a team who understood the complexities of the country, and were core technocrats ready to sacrifice and work. But alas! Nigerians allowed themselves to be deceived by the same cabal who have kept the country in shackles for ages. Now what are we seeing? All those gains have completely been eroded. This is a sad case of falling from grace to grass. Pity. |
Lumiere91:You supported Buhari during the last election? All these things happening now in Nigeria were exactly predicted to happen if Buhari wins. And now they're happening right before our very eyes. GEJ wasn't perfect, but atleast he had conscience. He said that the best way to fight corruption is to straighten the institutions responsible for the fight and to remove the inducement and enticement that lure people. And he's been proven right. The problem with Nigerians is that they never learn until it is too late. Can you imagine that just some few months ago during GEJ,Nigeria was globally acclaimed as one of the fastest growing economy in the world and the largest in Africa? We saw a lot of economic activities going on in the country then, including in the Agric sector. A lot of businesses were opening up and expanding in the country. Foreign investors were trouping into the country anyhow,serious-minded countries were tripping over themselves to partner with Nigeria. What happened to all those now? Nigeria has suddenly become a pariah to foreigners now despite the numerous trips Buhari has made. I'll leave you to continue regretting, hopefully, you and others will be wiser next time. |
Gozzzy:Just a quick correction: Igbos don't hate the Hausas/Fulanis or any tribe for that matter. Igbos simply want an egalitarian society where you live and let live. Igbos believe in Justice. @topic,it's really difficult to comment on a topic like this without sounding like a round-about bigot. However, these Fulani herdsmen are not helping matters. Neither is Buhari. His deafening silence on all these makes one wonder if there's actually a strategic plan somehow to wipe out a particular people. Some might call this karma on the affected people,i choose to call it incompetence of the highest level on the part of Fg |
Anambra state does not seem to be part of Nigeria where incompetence rules the day. It's an obvious pointer to the fact that if given the opportunity,Igbos can truly change the fortune of this country for better. It's like there's a self-awakening going on the SE; even Abia and Ebonyi states are buckling up reasonably. |
Of a truth,Jimi Agbaje would have been a far better option than Ambode... Fashola's shoes seem way bigger than Ambode's tiny inexperienced shy legs. |
Yet another appointment completey based on political affiliation and to compensate, not on qualification or merit. We're all watching... |
Alexikarri:Mr man,why do you find it very difficult to reason with your brain? How did the Igbos come in in this topic? What sort of obsession is this? Or you now wish to start blaming the Igbos for the many failures of this government? Nawao... People dey shaa o. |
Op your post is totally senseless. Biafra,IPOD and PDP are completely different things. Not every PDP supporter is a Biafra proponent, and vice versa. If you had reasoned this well, maybe you'd have seen how irrelevant this thread would have been. To worsen the whole thing, you said "we south-south".... Whatever you mean by that. Are you Tonye? Did Tonye commission you to speak on his behalf? If you answer no to the above questions, then you need to check yourself seriously. |
OP,this thread is completely unnecessary. Whether Hausas/Fulanis flee the SE or not during crisis is irrelevant at this point. Pray for peace to reign, and let Southeasterners go about their normal business. |
Goke7:Bros abeg no just bring in PDP for this matter... Are you not in Nigeria? Don't you see what is happening? When you say you're fighting corruption and things are actually worse than they were before, that is the worst form of corruption itself. |
