Infact i cant remember what I answered but i had to end it before she ask another question.

Politics › Re: Reasons Why Blacks Will Not Be Superior To Whites by hahn(m): 5:41pm On May 30, 2020 |
nnadychuks: Ok now I see where the point is... but it depends on how we interpret the holy book... I’ll quote 2 things from the Bible... 1. It says “Greater is He that is in me, than he that is the world”... For me, I understand that with regards to conscience and Belief. Conscience, which is in us is greater than belief, which is in the world. When the man believes his home is in heaven and has no interest in making this government right, his conscience would always poke him no matter what. 2. “Good name is better than riches”... Yes that’s true. We Will all die and leave this world, but you see, the people who made great impact in the society, will live forever. Yes, their good names will live forever
This is where The “Jehovah’s witness” need to understand the Lord has ordered them to impact on the world too Lol. The irony. You are replicating what you outlined in No 3. How can you claim that loving everything white holds us back and you adhere to the very religion and god that were used by the Europeans to enslave us. Hahahaha |

TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by hahn(m): 9:46pm On May 29, 2020 |
Born2Freak: We are on the same page.
My original comment was saying that the government should invest in Nollywood by investing in the arts. How many film schools do we have?
Even the loans you mention- there are government grants and loans for manufacturing companies but none for movie companies.
If we invest in video technology, arts and film schools, tax breaks for movie productions etc, Nollywood would be great Alaba international is another obstacle |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by hahn(m): 7:31pm On May 29, 2020 |
DrDax: It's easy to dismiss Nollywood for their lack of creativity or imagination.
As someone who has been there and done that, please clap for those guys.
Nollywood is not a place, neither is it a gentlemen's club.
It's an aggregate of Nigerians trying to make a living from the movies using their meager personal resources.
Kindly cut them some slack if they are yet to produce an INCEPTION-like kinda flick.
"the spirit is willing, it is the flesh that is weak"
I have seen badass scripts in my time, but the fear of failure would not let many a director/producer to take the leap.
Many have come to ruins because of one bad picture that could not sell "10,000 copies".
Respect those entrepreneurs, please.
How many of you would invest in a good movie? Put your money where your mouth is
The banks would not fund it. The government looks the other way.
Venture Capital is a no go area because "no businessman wants to risk their money on a movie whose return is based solely on audience acceptance"
So where do you want these producers to go to for funding?
Is it DSTV that buys movies off producers at an average of N1.5m.
What quality production costs less than that? How would the producer make a profit?
Or Iroko TV? Dem even dey try small.
This environment is just a joke! It's enough to suck all the creativity out of Quentin Tarantino!!!
Let's leave armchair philosophy abeg.
Oro po ni nu iwe kobo (youruba proverb)
Nollywood, I hail!!!
mjbolt hahn mekaprime2 born2freak I can't disagree with you. Alpacino would have ended up like Sam Loco if he was born in this environment. The Nigerian environment can destroy the best talents |

LordShiva97: No one is talking about stopping the protests, they have the right to protest if they feel aggrieved. But looting can't be condoned in the name of protests, the looting part is what I have a problem with. The owners of those looted stores are fellow citizens like them, the stores aren't owned by the cops that killed the deceased George Floyd.
And talking about getting the goverment's attention, their plans seems to be working. You might want to check out Trump's tweet about the looting that was censored by Twitter. This is exactly what blacks get no respect anywhere. A fellow black is chocked to death in the streets and all other blacks can think of is how to use the opportunity to steal stuff. After I saw the video yesterday first thing I said was "there's going to be a lot of looting" and I was right. Same thing happened after Rodney King got that ass whooping in LA and same thing happens at any other event like this. Funny enough blacks kill more blacks than white cops can ever hope to but you'll never see black communities protesting enmasse against the crips and bloods and all those senseless gangbanging they have going on on their hoods. Heck they even create music that promotes killing each other over the dumbest reasons. For some reason black people worldwide have gotten the understanding of the world upside-down |
