@op without doubt what this people maybe true. The thing is in all camps you have disgruntled and the mole group. The only obvious thing is they are in minority with in any political group. If there numbers accounted for more they would have had there way. So simply say is because the are in minority they sit secretly to gossip. While others will wimply sell out at any opportunity. Now aak yourself again how many of such disgruntled folks exist in PDP too? The ones we dont knw and people like Lamido and co that have readily come out .
Your take on the groups discussion maybe wide spread or just on that table.

Meanwhile the APC dudes that spoke like that will betray anyone if there interest is not met whether PDP or APC. With the rate of decampees from PDP i can safely deduce many more quietly complain.

Gen Buhari is not only a senile Old man but He is also sick and possibly suffering from an uncurable killer diseases "Alzheimer Parkinson Disease" resulting in acute memory lost( He Just forgot the name of His Running mate Prof Osibanjo at the ongoing Apc Rally)

i'm Calling on the good people of the Northern Nigeria especially the Hausa/Fulani ethnic extraction to reject Buhari because his emergence as the Apc flagbearer over more Charismatic and Energetic Northerners is a grand Dubious conspiracy by the Yoruba people to repeat the Yar'adua/ Jonathan Saga where Obasanjo imposed a sick Northern President we cannot afford to make the same mistake twice.

We the People of Northern Nigeria cannot be deceive by this Hoax and Pupported New Love from the Yoruba's , Buhari is simply too old to withstand the rigorous stress of Governance Hence pairing him with a more relatively Young Yoruba man Prof Osibanjo is a Political Gamble to return power to the South-West after they have used their own quota under Obasanjo from 1999-2007.

We the Patriotic Northerners are calling on Gen Buhari to step down for a more energetic and Youthful Presidential aspirant of Northern Origin to take His place if he truely have the sincere interest of we the Northerners in Heart.

Well for me i was actually gunning for Fashola and that didn't happen. Okay my point is as a northerner i never cared if the president was Yoruba or Hausa. but for the insult i got from the Igbo's and ND if not fro people like David west,Amechi,Ngige,Rochas or Berem and many nice SE/SS on NL i will have said over my dead body to see a SS/SE ever get my support for anything.
I don't mind Osibanjo taking over. Everything is from Allah. If He dies na him time, EOD. Its possible some of us may not even be around that long yet we pretend we get assurance of tomorrow.
I do not pray evil for anyone. But ya Allah provide us a worthy leader and make Nigeria Better. As for now i know my friends and i will gladly share alot with the Yoruba man as he stood his ground and showed no reason to hate.Despite the unreasonable excuses some folks spewed to pitch people against each other.

Honestly it sounds like that. In as much as i praise the military, certain things they do is worthy of condemnation. GEJ should have asked it be closed particularly as its unconstitutional. Mr Rule of Law!
Also people raised the issue before now on such accounts. the FGN refuted the allegations and did not bother to check. If truth be told the government is often critical of complaints than investigating or punishing violators.
As we talk now the Police are even yet to act.The other day based on suspicion police moved into NASS to discharge her duties. Also they went ahead to read the laws and seize the Speakers security aid because he decamped. He has also targetted a large Ibo population in kano who wud otherwise have given GEJ some votes just because of his religion.
I see a landslide for GMB in Kano.
I strongly doubt the move is to please the Igbos like you erroneously want to potray the issue. With or without the Igbos in Kano it will be a landslide for Buhari . Also note the lady is from the North or specifically Middle belt. I don't see how that relates to the Igbo. abi Igbos are now from Benue abi Idoma?

Anyway nice one from the Governor. When will the same thing be emulated all over Nigeria. We pray that all the divide of religion and ethnicity will be a thing of the past. The governor is setting a good example and leading the way in his own domain to resort harmony and mutual respect.Signs of good things to come if change is achieved.Whilst the decade of divide and rule strategy of some haters is thrown into the gutters.

I got mine and i urge people to collect there own.
When i visited INEC honestly you can see the boxes of uncollected PVC just there.Media organizations, INEC and NGO need to do more to reach out to people and tell them how to collect there PVC. I had to ask around to get mine. Such information could be provide and the process made easy.
Its actually discouraging when you reach the INEC centre and you are told its with another INEC centre. People will say the SMS option exist but how many people can use it. They should localize and simplify the information out reach. People need to be well informed and directed.
I also strongly urge INEC To to make registration a continuous thing over the years not rush at the last minute. people should have walked in registered and return to the same INEC office to pick the PVC. Also they should centralize there database. So it can be verified anywhere in Nigeria. You should be allowed to move freely and use the Card anywhere without hassle.

We still dey wait for the BH sponsor list for exposing by the same GEJ/Government for over 3years!!! How are we sure you will expose this one. Again all i see is GEJ hitting back at Obj for criticizing him on the handling of the foreign reserve. He is reacting as usual and not being proactive.
For me to vote GEJ he most return my state to normalcy.BH has captured more territories in my state under his leadership as C in C. simply i want security which i dont have now and feel threaten verbally by the government and physically by the insurgency. Resolve that and i will look at him again as worthy of re-electing.
Meanwhile i maintain he is my president and Leader and i hope he could do better in terms of managing the nation than pleasing a hand full of criminals(elites, business men, politicians, foreigners or militants). I want all abducted persons,Chibok girls,Gwoza,Bama,Kukawa etc back. Recently i hear Baga is lost too. Again GEJ stay away from SAS Sheriff. That man is no good for Borno or even Nigeria. I never liked him for his arrogance and now his BH stance. Do not keep making him relevan or forcing him on people in the state. He was exiled at one time from the state by the youths and i don't see why you should use security to impose him on us.That man deserves to be arrested and prosecuted. I demand he be probed and i thank God he left APC. Because it was one stain i couldn't bear in the APC.

From Wole Ayodele in Jalingo

A senior secondary school form one (SS1) student of Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Jalingo, was on Monday apprehended for being in possession of two grenades.

The student, simply identified as Blessing, was apprehended by the school's security guards who were conducting checks on the students luggage following their resumption for the second term.

In an attempt to smuggle the bombs into the school, Blessing, who joined the school last September, concealed the bombs inside gari and it took the vigilance of the security men to detect them.

Upon the discovery, she was quickly arrested alongside her father who is said to be a retired Police Inspector from Numan in Adamawa state while the bomb disposal unit at the police headquarters was quickly called in to defuse the bombs.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Joseph Kwaji, said both the girl and her father are under detention while investigation is being conducted into the matter.

My brother let me tell you one thing, if a northerner win this election two things will happen either Bokoharam will cease fire or their operation will reduce to minimal level. But if reverse is the case it is only God can intervene.
If that happens atleast largely is going to be because the situation will be clearly defined for what it is, insurgency and terrorism that it means us bad regardless ,not political and is destroying a people. Also the cries and worries of the inhabitants will be dealt with as it affects them and not because its PDP ,southerner, northerner, xtian or muslim. people are dying PDP and GEJ are still viewing it as an agenda to tarnish there goverment. I want to ask you. How did the FGN handle the chibok case? Denial and propaganda against his own troubled citizens.I tell you many more are hidden. The chibok case had reached the media else it will have being hidden and silenced. daris God. It took over 30 days and protest for government to agree with a state governor, community and school that people loss just because of sentiment, that a xtian southerner is in power and the chibok girls missing is a hoax. for how long are we going to do that before any action is taken.
Negligence and delay is the order of the day and thats why they have made bad names for themselves in the fight over insurgency.Atleast the court martial is a testimony.
I want change because PDP never learns or mean well for the nation. We can't accuse opposition if we didnt give them a chance. PDP got 16yrs to prove there critics wrong. 6YRS for GEJ. So its obvious .
Moreover we are in a democracy. if APC or GMB screw up vote them out. power will return to the people whether the elites like it or not. If you like power give us result or quit.

My friend teach your brothers to argue well with good reasons to avoid rendering insult.

My brother northern Nigeria do not vote for Goodluck. Where Goodluck got most of his vote 2011 in the north was north central in which you know the majority their are Christians. If you happen to be a Muslim you know very well it is just like a sin to vote an infidel.
This issue of BH who are the originator? is it not Islamic agenda to destabilize Goodluck Tenure? If not why are they bombing churches? You may tell that they are bombing most mosque too. How many mosque have they bomb for the past years they have been in operation? Has i am speaking to you now no single church is standing in Mubi what does that connote? If you think i am supporter of Goodluck you should go through this my thread.

https://www.nairaland.com/1990250/goodluck-jonathan-disappointed-us
i doubt what you said. Sule Lamido made it a do or die to vote PDP by extension GEJ by civil servants. what of GEJ rallies in the north where people poured out in numbers to support his bid. Particularly in states like Katsina,Jigawa, Sokoto, Kano and even Niger. It all started as a party thing GEJ an his handlers sent the wrong signals that bites him now.
I remember churches being attached? What are there casualties. Do you know communities were totally razed as compared to churches. If you were to be honest you can not compare the muslim casualties to the unfortunate church bombings. i mean attacks in Baga, Bama and Konduga communitties alone exceeds that.
That apart i feel GEJ lack of popularity is his doing. i am guided by one reeponsibility to respect my leader as truly leadership is from God. i promised to respect GEJ as a citizen and my leader. he could have gotten my vote if only we were treated fairly. Particularly his move to play victim and encourage the belief we cause his down fall. Assuming all northerners are in support of BH is regretable and I stand here to say i never and will never support a group to kill people just because of power or some stupid political difference be it BH or anything. so assuming i will is an insult to me as a muslim and northerner.
That said it was a deliberate propaganda to make the issue bigger than it was then and reduce the pressure on government. That alone has brought a serious division in the nation. Atleast even a xtian Obj has noted that. Also GEJ was adviced to manage the divisive utterances from his quaters not to bring rancour. It never stopped. one came in some days back. you can not make someone your enemy or blackmail him and the ask for his affection.SAS couod not step foot in Maiduguri before now as the youths see him as a BH sponsor and swore to kill him. That has changed now, all thanks to politics of PDP. I remember SAS was mentioned along side Ndume then by the arrested BH spokesman. somehow he never was excluded and emphasis on Ndume. He went to the villa then to come out saying he had no case to answer. Again he is mentioned and nothing is done by GEJ. Even when in a video he associated SAS with BH.So if the north is doing it and they point out the culprit but you choose not to act what becomes of him as my president?
The north will not sponsor people to kill there relatives burn there homes and hold them to ransome just to spite GEJ.

Which Northern leaders do you want me to blame? The ones that built the schools we attended and took care of us as boarding students giving us free books, feeding us and. Giving us money at the end of the term?

No! The Northern leaders have been trying their best to give us good education. If a man decides to keep his ward from going to school and instead send them to Almajiranci you don't blame the leaders. My mum told me that in their time the leaders even used force - sending officials to villages on horse back to force parents to released their children for schooling.

This is a new era where every northerner has mates he grew up with who have attended school and have benefited therefrom as evidence for him/her to derive lessons from. If you see an Almajiri today you know that he must have come from a very unserious parent. I have seen instances where Almajiris, of their oqn volition dropped their begging bowls and took themselves to school.

In Borno and Yobe states Almajiranci is becoming extint.
I have argued this severally with a lot of people who hardly know much about the northern community. Blaming the leaders does not really tell the situation. It is more cultural and personal that certain people choose not to go for western education. I mean the northern schools still have room for so many people who cross the niger and get admission whilst the host community can not successfully populate the schools.I can blame quality of schools now leaders but not enrollment.
My father told me when he went to school his father then saw it as being lazy and wayo not to farm. So what has that to do with the leaders?when they were even given insentives to encourage them.
The case is similar to the polio vaccination problem. I am aware homes are even given soap and candies to encourage participation but some families are just stubborn. What should they do?

He is heard muttering some unintelligible words before pouring a reddish substance all over him which the cleric described as ‘human blood’.

This is what makes the Muslim world proud. A mosque on the very centre of the ancient temple of Jerusalem.

The mosques is considered the 3rd holiest site in Islam because Mohammed once lied that in a vision state he found himself at the Temple and from there he claimed to have ascended to heaven. This is how the second most holiest site of Islam in Istanbul Which was formerly the capital of the Papacy and known as Constanipole was raided by marauding Muslims and turned to a mosque. Even the most revered site in Islam, Mecca and the Kabbah were once shrines to pagan worship. Everything about Islam, its holy sites and cities including its doctrines and claims of science were stolen.

The Arabs have no business in Palestine.
Yeah yeah? With the advent of Xtianity what did you do the pagans of that time in other to Establish Constantinople or Rome? How about Spain and the Muslims of Spain? How about Israel and the jews ? How about the fact the Crusader choose to commit genocide than practice live and lets live after they captured Jerusalem?Maybe you need to keep such silly opinions to yourself.

"The treatment of heretics
In contrast to the late antiquity, the execution of heretics was much more easily approved in the late Middle Ages, after the Christianization of Europe was largely completed. The first known case is the burning of fourteen people at Orléans in 1022.[21] In the following centuries groups like the Bogomils, Waldensians, Cathars and Lollards were persecuted throughout Europe. The Fourth Council of the Lateran (1215) codified the theory and practise of persecution.[21] In its third canon, the council declared: "Secular authorities, whatever office they may hold, shall be admonished and induced and if necessary compelled by ecclesiastical censure, .. to take an oath that they will strive .. to exterminate in the territories subject to their jurisdiction all heretics pointed out by the Church."[22]
Saint Thomas Aquinas summed up the standard medieval position, when he declared that that obstinate heretics deserved "not only to be separated from the Church, but also to be eliminated from the world by death" [23]
The Old Testament has been the main source for Christian theologians advocating religious persecution. An example of this would be John Jewel. In defending the demand for religious uniformity by Elizabeth I of England, he declared: "Queen Elizabeth doth as did Moses, Josua, David, Salomon, Josias, Jesophat, ..." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Christian_thought_on_persecution_and_tolerance#The_Augustinian_consensus)

We could have used the opportunity to get the modern weapons from US and Israel to combat BH. We just got something they want and we could have offered the support in return for weapons to fight insurgency or lifting of the US blockade on arms sale to Nigeria.
On the other hand the Arabs and Palestinians should understand that alot of the freedom they crave for will not come via UN or some dialogue with US or Israel. It is and always will not be in there interest. Certain people will never understand dialogue until they realize is an important option.
At the moment Israel has nothing to gain from a free Palestine state and more to gain with the current status quo.It suits Israel best currently as the borders can not be properly defined and Lands can be confiscated at will considering Israel is expansion.
It will help maintain its blockade over a perceived weak enemy at all times. So with the current arrangement there security,Political and Economic benefits are assured.
The day the Arabs wise up and push there own true interest like they mean it,then maybe things could change. Not with Al-qaeda,ISIS,Assad,Shitte and sunnis,Libya,Eygpt,Lebanon,Hamas vs Fatah etc battling each other and destroying themselves. If it matters to them they can make it happen via diplomacy or arms struggle. Its up to them. Not Africa and not Nigeria! shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
While we cann look and make best use of the situation.Get more arms from USA/Israel in return for sitting on the fence. cool cool

I specifically said that voter turnout in 3 states Yobe, Borno, and Adamawa - these worst hit by the BH problem would be low. In 2011, these 3 states had voter turnouts 50% or less. Is it in 2015 when the insurgency is worse that the voter turnout will rise to 60 - 70%.
Please be objective.
I have also noticed that,as a key issue that should not be underestimated. @op you should know that the probabilities could drastically change if there is voter apathy or security fears around certain northern axis. Particularly the NE. I mean if am to say chances will favor APC if voter apathy is eliminated in the NW and the security improves tremediously in places like Borno & Yobe. Taraba and Adamawa are strong PDP states 25% is assured. Bauchi and Gombe has its issues but I see APC taking a larger chunk.I know last elections the northern turn out was low. I can say that could be the case this year particularly with the awareness and alertness from 4years of Ijaw/SE bashing. I strongly believe people are putting in more ensure that the numbers are higher particularly in state capitals. But in rural communities the power players could pull stuff if they get rewards. APC needs reach the rural areas particularly in the north and wake them from there slumber.
