Could remember a Family Friend.A good family friend..Always had stillborn for years..That was when i knew about this RH and RH whatever..I really pitied the wife..I could not count the total number of still births she had..It was frustrating and touching..This led to both husband and wife separating after a while..Wife later died not too long ago..Nearly cried when i knew she passed away..May she rest in peace..I do not wish for any sort of infertility issue for even my enemy that is if i have one sef..
really..its unfortunate but they suffered due to ignorance. after d first child the mother aught to go for an antigen injection .i cant remember its name but today medicine has rendered rhesus factor related issues history. the only one we still suffer from is genotype.

am not a yoruba person but i do understand and accept the meaning of those words of his.probably youre thinking of the story the op quoted but in this case the boy was found later gratefully.

you wont know the pain of a lost child untill it happens close to you. you would always be searching for him knowingly or unknowingly until the end of your own time. a pain of lost and a hope that might never be achieved.

i never knew the meaning of those words until we lost a freind in school. a very smart intelligent student just disappeared. when the parent came to school looking for him all the way from lagos to minna, i could see the pain and comfusion in the eyez of the mother.from police stations to mortuary every avenue have been exhusted buth this guy still havent been found. our set has since graduated at 2013 yet abdulsalam a then first class student at 300 lvl is no where to be found. till date we still talk and ask questions about him.
the last time we saw him he took his laptop from gk hostel on his way to a freind at off campus bosso to collect movies. he never got there neither did he came back.
At times we wonder weather to say rest in peace abdulsalam or what?
a dead child is truelly better than a lost one.

Politics / Re: Buhari Insulted And Threatened Nigerians On His Speech This Morning - FFK by hamzeiy: 5:02pm On Aug 21, 2017
princessco:

THE PRESIDENT'S MORNING BROADCAST

During his throughly uninspiring six minute broadcast this morning instead of appealing to Nigerians for patience and understanding and instead of apologising to them for the ineptitude and sheer incompetence that his government has displayed over the last 2 years, President Muhammadu Buhari has returned home after 105 days on his sick bed in the United Kingdom and not only insulted Nigerians but also threatened them.

He made no attempt to reach out to the people, to build bridges and to calm the troubled waters in what is clearly a traumatised and divided nation and instead he sought to intimidate and talk down on our people and his perceived enemies.

The President appears to have failed to appreciate the fact that times have changed and that he cannot impose his will on others.

He claims that his views represents the thinking of the majority of Nigerians yet he refuses to accept the idea or acknowledge the legitimacy of a national referendum.

He is meant to be a servant leader and a democratically-elected President and not a military dictator, a Caliph or a King.

If he wants to enhance national unity, which is of course a noble and righteous venture, and if he really wants Nigeria to remain one then he must desist from his dangerous and provocative rhetoric, he must treat all Nigerians like human beings and as equals, he must exhibit a much higher degree of sobriety and accomodation of contrary and dissenting views and he must display far more sensitivity, understanding and restraint in his interactions and discourse with the opposition and those that do not agree with him.

Failing that and without a quick recourse to the devolution of power from the centre and the neat and timely restructuring of what is essentially a fake pseudo-federation and a functional unitary state, the agitation for emancipation will become more pronounced, the various ethnic nationalities in this country will eventually exercise their right of self-determination and our nation will eventually break.

The fault lines are there and they are visible for all to see. We must recognise our differences, acknowledge our fears, concerns and anxieties, sooth frayed nerves, bridge the gap, make the necessary concessions and heal the wounds or we must prepare for the very worse in the not too distant future. That is the way forward and that is the only way to ensure and guarantee lasting peace and unity.

Since the President mentioned the late and reverred Chief Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the Ikemba Nnewi, the former Head of State of the old Biafra and the Eze Gburugburu of the Igbo, in his morning address let me add the following.

If this great man were still alive today to witness what his Igbo people have been subjected to over the last two years under the Buhari administration he would have been the first to insist on Biafra all over again.

And the truth is that Ojukwu, Major Chukwuemeka Kaduna Nzeogwu and the great Zik of Africa, the Owelle of Onitsha, Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe have collectively resurrected in a young lion from the east called Nnamdi Kanu who he must handle with the utmost care.

What the President is unable to grasp and fails to comprehend is this: we are not children, we are not animals and we refuse to be second class citizens.

Simply put we would rather die as free men, standing on our feet and resisting evil, tyranny and subjugation than live as servile slaves and pliant bonded servants with bowed heads and on bended knee.

All Mr. President's sinister and inappropiate talk about "red lines" and his insidious threats of bloodshed and bloodflow cannot change that and neither is anyone intimidated. Such talk is reckless, dangerous, irresponsible and inappropiate.

Worse of all other than saying that every Nigerian has the right to live in any part of the country, which in itself is undoubtedly a welcome and gratifying assertion, he refused to order the arrest or threaten to cage and bring to justice those that gave the Igbo people a chilling quit notice and that have promised to unleash genocide, ethnic cleansing and mass murder on them if they refused to abide by it and leave the north by October 1st..

This strange omission and instructive refusal by Mr. President is unacceptable and it feeds into the narrative that there may well be some kind of frightful hidden agenda unfolding.

It was also a missed opportunity to allay the legitimate fears and genuine concerns of many Igbos and southerners that live in the north.

I sincerely hope that history does not repeat itself in this regard.

Finally the President expressed his concerns about the social media.

The truth is that the internet has always been the nightmare of tyrants and dictators all over the world ever since it came into existence.

This is because it is designed to ensure the free flow of information and to expose their excesses and atrocities.

Now that our President has acknowledged his disdain and hate for this medium we will increase our efforts to make life more difficult for his government through it.

We will keep them on their toes and hold them to account by utilising the social and traditional media all the more. What he wishes to hide shall be made manifest and known to all.

His morning address was shallow, insensitive, uninspiring and divisive and, judging from what I saw, I believe that he should resign, go home and take care of his health.

That would be the best thing that he could do for Nigeria and that would be the best way to enhance national cohesion and unity.

Hmm The newspaper industry is dying but the smart ones will not. The world is changing so also is the way we do things and live our lives. Unlike before where people only depend on newspaper as their only source of information, gone are the days , with the introduction of social media, online magazines, blogs, vlogs, newsletters she emails and above all your smart phones, you could get all these within minutes without blinking an eye.
Also i find newspaper naturally boring because of their nature of writing, too many words for an article that could have been summarised into few words and you will still get the message. I guess they do this to make the papers full. Thats why now so many newspaper industry have woken up to reality that linda ikeji back then when she doesn't have anyone working with her reaches more people and also make more money than all of them combined.
Anyways if you want to get your business online contact me for your website design visit www.leksmediaconcept.com or call 08173091370

and yet the likes of new york times, washinton post, dailymail are making millions or billions of dollars every year despite been in the United states the hub of the internet and social media.

Politics / Re: Governor Okorocha Bans Igbo Traditional Leaders From Speaking English Language by hamzeiy: 6:24pm On Jul 11, 2017
Specialspesh:
Read below the press statement released by Sam Onwuemeodo, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rochas Okorocha.

Governor Rochas Okorocha has banned traditional rulers in the State from speaking English at functions and in conducting affairs at their palaces and directed that they must talk in Igbo at functions and Conduct activities in their palaces in Igbo, adding that they Could employ the services of interpreters if the need arises.

Governor Okorocha gave the directive while handing over letters of recognition and staff of office to Nineteen (19) newly recognized traditional rulers in the State, adding that Igbo language must not be allowed to die as been predicted in some quarters.

The governor also told the traditional rulers in the State to be agents of peace, progress, and prosperity in their respective domain instead of being tools of disunity and destabilization, warning that any traditional ruler who could not show genuine leadership in his autonomous Community stands the risk of having his Certificate of Recognition and Staff of Office withdrawn.

His words “Today, history is made that light has come and darkness would not comprehend at all. The truth has surfaced and the right people have finally become the Custodian of the traditional right of their people. You are not permitted to speak English at functions. This will help keep our Culture and Igbo language alive”.

He continued “For many years now, most of you have been looking for a day like this. Some of you were victims of injustice and never believed that this could be possible and most of you have been waiting without knowing your fate. But today, it is a manifest of truth that your people have chosen you, and the government of Imo State has approved”.

He further stated “I took the bold step of reconciling people, took the step to ensure that truth came to be and voided the rancour that has existed in our various communities over ezeship title. This has equally affected the Community Government Council (CGC) negatively because every community requires an Eze to function effectively as the head of the Community Government Council. Today, that responsibility has fallen on you, I urge you not to fail as failure is not an option. I encourage you to help the government in developing the resources of our land as posterity will only remember you for your positive contributions in the development of your community and not in how much wealth you enmassed as an eze”.

He added “Remember that to whom much is given much is expected. This whole exercise you must understand is not an election or appointment to enable you distinguish between those who love you and those who hate you. Today, you are an Eze, and you must be the Eze for everyone both those against you and those who were for you. I advise you to take all of them along and embrace peace. Your first assignment should be to invite those who were against you to make peace in your land as no Eze can function effectively if there is no peace in your land”.

He continued “Today, you join several Ezes in the Communities of Imo State. You are now addressed as royal fathers and members of Imo State Traditional Council which its right is given to you until death, unless you act in such a manner that you are found wanting before the members of this society”.

He explained that “The essence of Ezeship is not in the title of being called HRM or HRH, it’s in what you have been able to do to change your society for good. You have to understand that you have enormous responsibilities, Ezeship is not an easy job, it attracts enmity and takes all your time”.

In his vote of thanks, Eze Lucky Ajoku of Ihiagwa Autonomous Community, described the governor as an apostle of good conscience and equity and promised that they will embrace peace and help the government attain the lofty ideals of the Community Government Councils in their various communities.

The Ezes given their Staff of Office and letters of recognition are:
HRH D.E.C Onyebuagu - (Ibiasuegbe Autonomous (Oru West), HRH Ifeanyi Kenneth Aguneto - (Umueze/Abaza Ogwa (Mbaitolu), HRH Charles Anyakudo - (Ekwe (Isu LGA), HRH Ugo Ndubueze Donatus - (Umunokwu, Okwuato Aboh Mbaise), HRH Athanasius Ezekwe - (Enyiogugu), HRH James Nnamdi - (Ngurunweke Aboh Mbaise), HRH Francis Anukwu - (Avuvu Ancient Kingdom, Ikeduru), HRH J.C. This is not a season for campaign and his going not publicised. Hence, his party must have mobilise crowd to welcome him just to show that the North has no bad feeling for him. Before the build up to the election, he received same mammoth crowd but still got watery votes.

some people are just too gullible.
first-if you know the population of kano then you would realize how in consequential that population is
secondly- the hausas are good politicians, they would never put their eggs in one basket unlike some pathetic people down the map. what you see there was just politics. apc is not a faith or religion up north but just a political party like pdp thus it also has it supporters and and the otherwise. so we dont kill ourselves over a particular party its just all about intrest. we go where our intrest is protected simple.
finally- i was personally around the emirs palace yesterday just moment before gej came with his freinds..he was honored as everyother past leader would be honored when they come to kano.. we are not savages neither do we threaten our leaders from visiting our region just because we dont like them, its gross stupidity. gej was welcomed by the supporters of pdp in kano who are actually inconsequential considering the kano population and political inclinations. it has noting to do with hunger, buhari or apc . if pmb should arrive nigeria today, you would be amaze with the number of people you would see celebrating in kano for someone that is still in abuja. i guess only then you understand what am saying

It also happened in my university days, that we did have some group of extremely brilliant students in my class .
These guys were good and they knew it and flaunted it. They were very boisterous about it. They would tell whoever that cared to listen how high their JAMB scores were, how excellent their WAEC were. These guys stay in the front row of the class, where they intimidate the rest of us with their vast knowledge, for while a lecturer will be teaching, these guys would be asking questions on topics the rest of us haven't even heard about, probably because those topics were at the end part of the course outline, but these guys had finished reading it all during the semester break, when the rest of us were busy resting from the stress of the previous semester.
They compete for the lecturers attention amongst themselves, while the rest of us watch in bewilderment, it was so unreal.
They all walk around the faculty like they were the owners of the block and look down on the rest of us. They don't mind teaching you, if you ask nicely, for they revere in showing off how good they were. They rob their success on everyone else face.

They told everyone around how they intended going to prestigious schools abroad for their postgraduate studies, they sing about it every day that it almost seemed like they were trying to convince and encourage themselves that they were capable of such feats, like they had deep seated inferiority complex and have a constant need to remind themselves not to give up.

When result comes out, these guys were never satisfied with distinction, they want to be the at the top of the class, and to them that's all that mattered , they want to be the one giving that valedictory speech on the D day and no one else.
They push each other to the limit, so much that the three of them end up giving the rest of the class a long score gap on all the quizzes and exams.

Do we hate them for working hard? Do we hate them for rubbing their success and future aspiration on our face, Do we kill them for seeking to remain on top of the class perpetually, gathering all the lecturers accolades and approval at our own detriment? Swaggering around the faculty like they were going to be the next Einsteins? Do we seek to destroy them for making the rest of us look like Dunces in class?

There were always temptation to want to harm them.
But we realized that the best way to beat them was at their own game.

So when the school went on break, many of us refused to go on break, we had had enough of their haughty behavior, we were going to beat them at their own game. We were going to clip their wings.

So we all stayed behind in school, and read like exam was tommorow, when school resumed, they and the lecturers were surprised that they were no longer shinning as bright as they did, most of all they knew, we knew too, they were still ahead, but only just! They were no longer shining as bright as they used to, not because we dimmed their light, but because we increased our own lights, that it was hard for theirs to stand out. The energy level of the class increased exponentially. Of course, not all of my coursemates took up the challenge.

From then henceforth, It became a rat race to the valedictory post, they found out that they were not as special as they thought they were, they were no longer coming top on all the quizzes and exams, they still had an edge, but it shook the very foundation of their grandiosity, they were forced to sweat hard just to stay ahead, we earned their respect and they cut down on their haughty behavior.
One of them ended up being the valedictorian, but only just! We couldn't surmount the upper hand the early years of their hard work gave them.

I look back today and smile, those guy's haughty success driven nature was a catalyst that many of us latched unto to improve ourselves. We have our respectable grades today, thanks to them, they dared us, and we responded in a positive way.

The problem was never them, the problem was us. Nothing is wrong with need and desire to dominate, as long as it's built on hardwork and merit.
even the devil might want to give you a false logical reason for disobeying his Creator God, that been said the igbos can keep deceiving their selves with the desire to dominate..they will and never would get what they so desire.you cant force people to love you when everything about you is evil and hatefull.
