That's true. I know the husband and even child would have been affected psychologically by that terrible incidence. But the most affected would be the woman who had to go through that trauma. She needs all the support she can get which most importantly should come from. her husband, I think she is just worried and asking for sex, just for reassurance.
She said it happened January, making it 7 months or so from the incidence and they had an active sexual life. For how long is she supposed to wait if she wants his attention, 1 or 2 years, 5years?

OP, as others have said, his psychology has been affected by the incidence. Apart from not wanting to have sex, has he been supportive in every other aspect or does he just try his best to avoid any contact with you? You need to have a heart to heart talk with him, discuss your fears, wants and all, say your mind and let him pour out his too. The incidence has happened, doesn't mean you should continue in a sexless union. He probably feels inadequate and guilty not being able to protect you and your going through such for his sake, but you have to help yourselves to face your fears, take the guilt off him as much as you can, I believe he'll come around. If you can seek for help from a psychologist, do so.

And please retake the venereal diseases tests again. May God strengthen you and ease your affairs.

Different strokes for different folks. I and my siblings did not do house chores till we came off age (secondary school), and it did not stop us from doing it well when we started. She can help stop her bedwetting by making sure she does not take any water after having dinner. Wake her up every hour to go and ease herself, put mackintosh on her bed incase she wets again. Wake her up to clean up. Maybe,she will change in no time. Op do it for the young lady. Just mellow down and help her become a better person.

So she should not sleep well all night cos of a child whose mother might be in bed enjoying her sleep? The mackintosh seems more practical, and waking at least twice in the night and ensuring she pees before going to bed.

The best thing is for the girl to be raised by her parents whatever help OP and her husband want to render should be extended to them
