You can read books in your library offline but you need to be online to add them. It doesn't involve downloading books all you need to download is the app.

Business took me down to lagos on quick notice. After the hustles and hassles, I came home to meet bbae in the red zone. Apparently the thing arrived when I did. I was angry but well no be today we beginn chop am. Bae reminded me dat I promise her a big bowl of ice cream since west ham won my team yesterday after I boasted. Out I went.

I met a lot of people at the drug store, I lingered outside hoping they will disperse before I go in. Minutes passed and more people entered and none left. Bae started calling and wondering what's taking all the time. I summoned courage and entered. All eyes all of a sudden fell on that tall bros. The yeye nurse or whatver left everyone and asked me loudly " oga wat do u want" . I almost collapsed but yet I had to say it . " I want pad". Everybody suddenly looked at me. The sales girl in shock asked me again " you say wetin ?". And I told her I wanted to buy pad. I was so filled with shame, thinking the worst was over, till when the useless, foolish nurse faced me. Looked at a whole me up and down and asked. " OGA DO YOU HAVE HEAVY FLOW OR NORMAL"

This woke up the devils in that store. They all burst out laughing . I almost collapsed and seeing that I have lost all dignity I told her " I have heavy flow". I answered on the assumption that the lady was kidding with me. When she wanted to explain the thick and slim pad issh was when I barked in anger that she should give me one of each kind . People kept chuckling at themselves despite my embarrasment. I bought three types of pad and hurried out.

It is clear that I will never visit that shop nor street in a long while. All because bae has longer throat.

I knew it. I told one slowpoke, the man is most likely a serial cheat. Most men that cheat anyhow usually project that feeling their wife is also cheating as a defence mechanism for their evil even if it's very clear the woman isn't.

Domestic abuse has been happening years and years ago, I prayed women will wise up and leave such relationships, I had the courage to leave an abusive relationship when I got lucky to be given another chance at living. I had been in an abusive relationship with my then boyfriend for about 2 years, he was so controlling , I was young and in love, he always beats me at every argument or provocation, I kept it to myself, I got pregnant for him in my final year at the university, heavily pregnant, he still beats me, but belts me on my legs and says you can beat a pregnant woman but only on her legs, I could not tell my mum because she didn't like him at all , I had a child for him and he still continues, I was scared to leave him cos I thot who will marry me now with a child, the last time he beat me, he was so angry he grabbed a plank and bang on my head, I woke up in hospital, his cousins took me there and they told the doctors I fell off the stairs, I realised there and then that if I don't leave him he will kill me one day, if I had died that day, his family would have covered for him, I didn't care anymore what people will say or who will marry me, I grabbed my child and left him, told him it was over and never to come near me again, I removed his name from my child and made sure he won't be able to find us. It's been 20 years now and I never regretted leaving him. Anytime I hear of such abuse I always remember him and what a lucky escape for me. Women should be courageous to walk away from a violent and abusive man or relationship. It's just not worth it, for the children and for them

The story would have sounded nicer to me if you had gotten some thugs to beat him up well with a good belt and whip and probably break like 3- 4 fingers, he would surely think twice before beating up another woman just cos he feels she is at his mercy.

At School - No because in Primary school, one of the main reasons students were flogged was lateness and my mama was an earlier bird so I was not flogged Academically, I love school and I never lagged in assignments and tests, so that one, I pass
In secondary school, discipline was not demonstarted by the use of whip, so again, I pass.

I was mostly punished rather than caned in school. While in Primary school, I was many teachers pet, even when I beat people up (which is usually their fault though for trying to bully me), so I get off the hook fairly easily.
I'm most times punctual, do my assignments and don't score zero so I don't get caned often, unless collective cane . And the Sec school I attended most teachers believe once you are in SS 2, you are matured enough so punishment was mostly used unless you didn't respect yourself at all. And we take cane with swags ni, as long it's my palm, I don't allow any body beat me on my body. And anytime I see my mates are making noise or some people are fighting, I quickly excuse myself

It's not about love, they are usually insecure people. Everything should be with moderation, when it's excessive it becomes toxic.

Men can also be verbally abusive too, some men are quick to tell their wives how worthless they are, how he spends on her, even insult her family, but no one cares, only women can be insultive. Since she is physically weaker and we all want to behave like animals, can she find something she can hit his head with?



Both gender can be victims of domestic abuse and many of these madness could have been avoided by using one's brain and being prayerful while courting.
