Aizen123: Please I need advice. I lost my Dad over 2 months now and he hasn't been buried due to the pandemic. My Uncle's are all in Lagos and can't come back.
So after the lockdown was over we decided to go to the village.. On getting I discovered that his shop was open and all the money going into the first Uncle (first son) account.. So I called my uncle because he told me it was locked and he was saying did he need my permission before to open the shop and i decided to just control myself because i like peace and i decided to go to the house in the village...
On getting there I called my uncle and he told me the keys are with them in Lagos ... That it was waybilled and i said ok and went back with my brother and sister.
Fast forward today... I got a call from someone in the village that my Dad's burial death has been fixed and i was wowed because as the first son i haven't been told yet by my uncle's. So right now i am about acting but i need advice. Make a self assessment. If you can bury your dad without their financial input, then call the shot, its your call. But if na dem go shoulder the financial responsibility then just humble yourself and let them do your work for you. You can engage the village elders on the properties of the departed. |

kahal29: President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the nomination of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, former coordinating minister for the economy, for the position of director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), TheCable can report.
In a document seen by TheCable on Thursday, Buhari withdrew the candidacy of Yonov Frederick Agah, Nigeria’s permanent representative to WTO, for the same position.
The election is scheduled to hold in Geneva, Switzerland in 2021 for a four-year term that would run from 2021 to 2025 after Roberto Azevedo, former director-general of the organisation stepped down a year to the end of his second term.
“The embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and permanent mission to the African Union (AU) and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) presents compliments to all embassies and permanent missions in Addis Ababa and has the honour to inform that the Federal Government of Nigeria has withdrawn the candidacy of Ambassador Yonov Frederick Agah for election to the position of director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO),” the letter seen by TheCable read.
“Nigeria is therefore pleased to request the support of esteemed AU member states as well as permanent missions and embassies in Addis Ababa in favour of the candidacy of Okonjo-Iweala.”
Agah is Nigeria’s permanent representative to the WTO and WTO’s deputy director-general.
Okonjo-Iweala currently chairs the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), a public-private global health partnership with the goal of increasing access to immunisation in poor countries.
She also sits on the board of Twitter and is a former managing director (operations) at the World Bank.
On March 7, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa appointed her a member of the country’s economic advisory council.
A month later on April 10, Kristalina Georgieva, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), named Okonjo-Iweala a member of the fund’s external advisory group.
Okonjo-Iweala is one of the four special envoys appointed by the African Union (AU) on April 12 to mobilise international support for its efforts toward addressing the coronavirus pandemic.
In 2012, she contested to become World Bank president becoming the first female and first black candidate.
She was listed among one of the top 100 most powerful women in the world by Forbes four consecutive times from 2011 to 2014. She was also listed as one of the top 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine in 2014.

The court disposed off the case coz it's an hallow chamber and it's never blinded with emotions like you all on my mention. That's the first leg of the suit which is civil in nature; yet you expect the Police to waste resources, manpower for such baseless litigation that has no value but spite and witch hunt .
The truth is Busola is a clout chaser and attention freak coz how could you imagine her starring and appearing in about 4 to 5 visuals of her husband's songs. How many of the wives of other entertainer does that? She wanted to spite Biodun FATdick and milk him if possible. It will be a dangerous precedent if the court allow such spiteful and senseless suit from her to find a way to the court, because obviously she has no case to establish, and if such stupid suits goes through, it will spur some bitter women to take as many males from court to jail.
I frown heavily at rape but with how some of these women can be so manipulative , I will rather look circumspectively into grave issues like rape than joining the bandwagon of emotional SIMPS like you all. Let's get this straight. The court threw out the civil suit because it was statute barred not because it lacked merit. The court sitting in a criminal jurisdiction can entertain the matter because criminal matters are never statute barred. However the DPP may advice against prosecution irrespective of what the police investigation says. I am just trying to put the records straight. I am not a fan of the lady, Fatoyinbo or any one else. Rape remains what it is and must be proven as such if it ever came up for mention in court. Peace |

So you are at least 50 2. You stayed in Europe for 30 years and Asia for 20 years = 50 years. So add stay in America to stay in Europe and Asia = 100 years 3. You are still single at either 50 or 100 depending on the truth we want to believe 4. You want to marry a NL who is rich and will be able to spend on you (what did you do with your 50 years in America or 100 years in Europe/Asia and America. We have more white people on welfare than blacks and a rich nigga like Jayz will command respect 90% of places he visits. A successful black professor, doctor or professional in America has less chance of being racially discriminated than a drug seller, a gangsta or hoodrat. Police brutality is one thing, a white woman like Karen calling cops on blacks is one thing but to paint it all under one brush and say the system is unfair to blacks alone is pure bullshit! Life ain't fair, people are going to be treated unjustly at some point but if you always look at yourself as a victim then that's what you'll be! To slam you just dey hungry me. |

kikero: Actually, the Democrats are not behind this
Exactly the same riots happened under Obama, and have happened in one way or the other for decades.
The issue is this. Black people in the US have been at the mercy of the racist system for a long time. Now, I won't deny things have improved...it used to be far worse (an older relative of mine once turned down an opportunity to study in the US back in the day because of the horror tales he heard from senior colleagues).
The problem is, for many years, black people could be shot by the police, shot even by ordinary citizens (yes, it happened)...and nothing was done. And these things add up and make people angry.
An example. In the late 1940's, a black young man, who had fought with distinction in World War 2, was shot dead , without provocation, by a white policeman. His younger brother, for his own safety, had to be moved to another part of the USA because the night they brought his elder bro's corpse home, an older relative took one look at the guy's face, and saw the face of a very very angry young man, who if care was not taken, would have exacted revenge...which would have led to the whole black community suffering severe reprecusions. A few days later the man was sent to relatives in California (where he thrived well by the way...but that's another story)
The thing is, over and over again, even in these improved times, black males are more likley to be failed by the system. Before this issue with George....there was a case where a white woman called the police on a black man and lied that he was threatening her. IF htere hadn't been recording that black man could have ended up being shot.
What you are seeing is anger that has built up over generations. It is not easy to go away. And yes, it is very self destructive.(such violence drives out investment and jobs from black areas). But it is understandable. And for once, it isn't something that can be fixed quickly by any president...Trump or anyone else.(It happened several times under Obama.). You cannot fix anger that is generations worth. You said it all. |

This is the person that knows how choosy I could be when it comes to eating.
I'd recall vividly before my brother married her, then when I visit my brother at his place I do the cooking and the least meat/fish I'd always dish my food with could be two or three. But I have been wondering how on earth would she serve me her in-law with just a meat. This is an insult of the highest order, like I'm gonna need to call my brother's attention to it.
Well at the end of the day I had no choice than to eat the food like that with the one meat she served me. The food self no sweet.

I really need an advice. I currently work with one of the Nigerian banks. My monthly take home is about 450k and quite good. My major problem right now is that I have just been transferred from a Branch at one end of Lagos to another end of Lagos. All efforts to convince my boss to deploy me to a closer branch has proved abortive.
Going to work daily right now is a very difficult especially during this raining season and covid 19th period. I spend roughly 3-4 hours on the road when going to work and back home.
I am currently raising my kids on my own right now and dont know how I would manage when school resumes. Before now I drop them off on my way to work in the morning and my friend picks them up to her house in the afternoon till I get back.
I currently have a savings of 2million and would love to start a biz( I dont know what kind) as am comptemplating resigning and start a biz instead so that I can have time for my kids and not die due to stress Please i really need advice for you all. I wanted to be harsh before. My advice..dont quit. You will get by. Save more. N2m is paltry. You wil need to pay house rents and dchool fres soon. Think long term. |

adontcare: lol. Nigerians like comparing themselves with Americans. They can't protest outside but can hide behind their phones and laptops in faceless forums to rant and compare. Americans are not shooting and killing the protesters. Nigerians are aware that Nigerian life doesn't matter to the illiterate and frustrated policemen you have on the streets and some protests are surest way to fast untimely death and nothing will happen. So people are being smart and wise. I do not blame them. I, for one will NEVER protest on Nigerian streets. A simple example. During the xenophobic killings, SA police were protecting their people in SA and guiding them to go and kill Nigerians, in Nigeria, your police killed at least 2 people while pretending to protect SA investments in Nigeria. Is that making any sense to you? |
