Is Nigeria going to war? Look at the tons of Armored tanks deployed to protect Tinubu at his inauguration.

What are they scared of since they know they he won the election legitimately?

You can not move freely in Abuja now. Since two weeks now. The other day we saw spiritualists performing sacrifices. We in Abuja can't wait for tomorrow to pass so we go our normal operations freely.

Maybe they think that someone people will disrupt the inauguration tomorrow because the security is too tight.

My advice to anyone trying or planning to stop inauguration tomorrow please don't try it because it will be a suicide mission
Same show of power was carried out in Lagos during the selection process and Oluomo and Co did what they had to do. If people wanna enter una, its as easy as slicing hot knife through butter. No be today we begin see Hausa with Bow and Arrow, how many them kill?

I believe the administration of senator Tinubu will make our youths return from overseas to assist us in recovering our battered Economy and develop our dear country. Nigeria is experiencing a Brain drain, and this has be so for a very long time. But now, Nigeria is poised to become an attractive destination to foreigners, Nigeria will become an Economic hub under the able leadership of BAT
If anybody return make I bend.

This is a very tricky question if you ask me, but inasmuch as christians generally would likely dodge answering it, it could be a huge reality someday.

How would you cope if you managed to miss out on the rapture?

Are you prepared to face the antichrist and pay with your blood?

Will you forge ahead like nothing happened?

Will you still stick to your faith or abandon it wholely?

Let's hear your thoughts.
I will go to Fela's shrine and smoke jumbo size weed

Meanwhile there is no f4cuking rapture anywhere
Christianity Etc › Re: Last Sunday Before Inauguration What Will Be Your Prayer Point Today For Nigeria by hardbody: 11:25am On May 28, 2023

"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Today is the last Sunday of the month and the last Sunday before the inuaguration of a new government.

What will be your Prayer Points for Nigeria today?
God has turned his back on Nigeria. He said the prayer of the sinner is detestable in his eyes. Nigeria as a country has sinned any prayer for it is detestable before any supreme being, even shigidi by the roadside. Whatever works, works.

One of the many problems of Nigeria is rule of law.

No one follows rules anymore including the Judges, the rule enforcers, the people rules are enforced on, no one.

In a country where the rules are followed, by now this guy should be a millionaire.

E for Just sue the school for wrongful termination, infringement on right, mental abuse…. So many things to sue for.

But since there is no rule, better beg or find another school
All but wrongful termination. Is he also a staff aside being a student?

The problem am having lately with Nairaland is that the platform is now full of teenagers and miscreants who have turned a hitheto serious platform to a playground for kids.

Seun and Moderators should do well to sift out kids who make silly create posts and waste readers precious time.
They should edit and approve topics created before it is even allowed to drop on any section.
Nairaland should not be allowed to be childish play ground for children like this poster
I agree with you and such people should be banned for life as a deterrent.

He later told me it’s one of the best decision he ever made. @OP There is no harm traveling over there to see things first hand for yourself and ‘if’, you can find your way back. Besides, when did UK started interviewing for VISA?
Exactly. I am not aware UK interviews anyone for Visa. My last renewal happened in December last year. I did my usual fast track and was granted one in 48 hrs. I have never experienced anyone being interviewed sha

My bad. I probably didn't read him right. I was under the impression he had a cozy and fluffy life back here. I have built a career, have investments by God's grace and don't see a justification in starting life afresh . I toyed with Canada for a while but was dissuaded and that's the last there is to relocating. Maybe when I have made more free money I will contemplate Kitts.

Which visa were you granted? Visiting or settlement? I am guessing it is visiting since it is most likely you are over 18 and can no longer depend on your mum. If that is the case, it is not worth throwing away whatever good stuffs you have going in Nigeria presently to become an illegal immigrant in the UK.

If on then other hand you got a settlement visa, you can still make good use of it by retraining and upskilling yourself to get a decent job whilst still having the opportunity to maintain your ties to Naija
Typically it's a visiting visa.

I love my life here in Nigeria tho things are hard.. it's still my home
I feel more connected to my father's land.
Going to abroad is not my plan. My mother thinks I'm possessed by spirit that want me to not succeed.
My uncles have pleaded with me to go and join my mum and sis in UK.

I was given UK visa last year, refused to join my sister that traveled this May

honestly I don't want to move to Uk.
I know how hard life can be in 9ja but i still love this country.
Mumsi says she is really dissapoinmented in me for staying back.
Did I do anything wrong?
My cousin even has a right of abode but chose not to use it. It's no biggie. Most people don't give a rat's ass about relocating. I personally only go for trainings sponsored by my office and spend not more than an hour longer than the trainings end, sometimes I leave a day before like my last trip in December when I left on a Thursday while the training was to end on Friday. It's all about choices and no biggie

these pipo wan try sell d ipob stuff to we Deltans, cos of our close proximity to east, and d fact that Igbo's are relocating in large numbers to delta and surrounding southern states....since IPOb/ESN/u g.m started in d east. They have this unhealthy irredentist attitude in them.one woman was making a call, saying asaba is almost as good as no man's land. Thats how they start. They think anywhere Igbo's settle is Igbo land, which is = Biafra land, so that the criminals using it as cover can extend their criminality of kidnappings, robberies, human organ harvesting, and assassination in d south. Many igbo Big men with their families no longer go home, even at the year ending, even when there's family meeting, they send representative and make and fulfil all their financial obligations as required in the meeting from their base outside Igbo land. I thank God Gowon divided south from east. otherwise, we from south for no dey exist again
Drunk. When the killings start, you will understand there are only 3 tribes in Nigeria, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba

[quote author=siofra post=123367554]So, I told my parents I don't want to get married. I do not recommend telling your Nigerian parents you don't want to get married😹

My mom put her hand on her head and looked at me with pity lol. She said I don't have a goal in life, she said I'm empty.

My father was even more dramatic. He started praying o. He told me to kneel down and starting casting and binding all the evil spirits and his village people.

Ngl, it was hilarious. It's not like I don't want to get married though, I just wanted to see their reactions.

But why can't parents accept that not everyone wants to follow the way they did things? That I don't want a husband doesn't mean something is wrong with me and I won't be lonely because I plan on having 29 cats, a dozen goats and scores of chickens.

Hello Obi supporters,
there is no mandate anywhere, you have been scammed!
I do not know what most of you think or understand but for someone like me, I have never relied on the planks of Atiku running for a post concurrently or even the US narcotic case, no. Those are easily discardable. i am not even interested in the technicality of BVAS and all. I am only interested in the interpretation of the relevant section of the law which suddenly confers the status of a state to Abuja in matters of election when there is no such express provision in the law of the land. In its simplest form, the law is that expressio unius est exclusio alterius. If this be case, how can what is not written be read into what is written, I struggle to understand it. Beyond the simple Literal rule of interpretation as known in law, perhaps someone wants to extend it to the mischief rule, I will want to know how both rules of interpretation will suddenly interpret AND to mean anything other than a conjunctive term. How this is interpreted will benefit us as lawyers and law students alike and will improve our legal jurisprudence especially in the area of statutory interpretations.

Can a sitting president be removed if his election is voided, Lord Denning did say in his famous dictum in McFoy Vs UAC that...Nihil non exspectanl aedificare stare...You cannot put something on nothing and expect it to stand. So yes, a sitting president can and has been removed even in fledgling democracies like that of the US. Whether the Nigerian justices can do same if they find a gap in the law will yet be seen, Whichever way the argument goes, we all know that law is made by men and interpreted by men for the use of men. It will be better to tell us that on grounds of public policy, they want BAT to continue in power than to stand the law on its head.
