The soot in Port Harcourt is a terrible thing, it actually goes beyond Port Harcourt to most parts of Rivers State.
The oil bunkering in Rivers state is turning into a permanent business activity. Youths are going into it in droves. Our "Emperor" Wike is not worried about the health implications of those activities.

There are hardly any public bins in PH for the masses not to throw their garbage on the ground. The government does not deem it necessary to provide it seems.

Nobody seems to be bothered to do anything about it.
Crime / Re: Rivers State: Rise In Cult Related Killings- Amnesty International by HarryDuce(m): 6:16pm On Apr 24, 2020
smeag0l:
I live in Rivers state and have been living here for over 6 years now and I must say that this is the worst place to live in this country asides the north east of Nigeria and I will highlight my reasons for saying so below:

1. The indegenes are the most lazy I have seen in my entire life and they puff with envy wheever they see you progressing.

2. You can never have a blissful political career without being a cultist. For instance, the state house of assembly is full of cultists.

3. Although, Emohua, Khana and Gokhana LGA's are the most violent , there are several other LGA's that you still find a lot of violence. There are places you even dare not go to in Port harcourt not to talk of outside of Port harcourt. I'll just name a few here starting with those within ph. Borokiri is a no-go area for a responsible person in ph.You can easily ge kidnapped there and the next place you'll find yourself is in Bonny, Onne, Bayelsa or Delta no thanks to the linking waterways. Places like D-line,Eagle island and Ogbunabali are known havens for cultists. They seem very peaceful whenever you go there but they can be very volatile. I have a friend who was shot in the afternoon in Ogbunabali. Now to places outside ph which are even more dangerous: You cannot drive to Oyigbo and Eleme in the evenings after 7pm for fear of being robbed or kidnapped. You may never return alive if you enter places like Tombia kingdom, degema, buguma or kula particularly if you don't understand their language or you are not from Rivers state. Places like Rumuekpe, Ndele,Choba, Omerellu and Omoku in both Emohua and Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni LGA's are places where kidnapping is rife even with complicity from the villagers. These places are also very notorious for cult killings. The only places I can vouch for as being safe in Rivers(outside ph) are Bonny, Onne(because these are islands with a lot of industrial activity) and within Ph are Woji, Old GRA, New GRA,Rumuibekwe and Peter Odili(because the people that live in these places are welll-to-do and can provide their own security.

4. Rivers state has no other business venture sustaining it apart from the oil and gas. Remove Shell, Exxonmobil and TOTAL from Rivers and watch the economy of the state crumble. All other profitable ventures in this state are built around servicing the IOC's. The government of the state also rely on taxes from the IOC's and government allocation to survive.

5. This is the state with the average highest cost of living in Nigeria. Food is expensive cos the indegenes are lazy and don't farm. All they do is to sell and resell their fathers' landed properties. What they call a plot of land in Rivers is three-quaters of what it is in Lagos and even more expensive.

6. There's something else that threatens life expectancy in Rivers stae-The soot. This is mainly due to the illegal bunkering activities in the state.

7. In conclusion, there are places I've never being to in Port harcourt not because I don't want to but because I can't . Also, I've never been anywhere outside Ph but within Rivers(except Oyigbo) without the use of police or soldiers . I really wish I wasn't here.
What state are you from if I may ask?

It would be pointless to point out obvious achievements by the indigenes to someone like you with a very toxic mindset.

Why are you in Rivers state in the first place? I'm sure you can get a better quality and standard of living everywhere else according to your write-up

Wealth, material resources. Take your pick

When Africans stop running to other countries for aid and assistance solely on their terms, when Africans act like humans that exist in the 21st century, then, we would see a semblance of respect.

Wailing would not help us in the long run as we have come to discover. There would always be disrespect as long as we throw ourselves at the feet of others.

Religion / Re: Spirit Of Lesbianism Exposed By Prophet TB Joshua by HarryDuce(m): 2:35pm On Jan 12, 2020
NwaAmaikpe:
shocked

This is some acute fvckery.
Lesbianism isn't caused by any evil spirits.

It is strictly a chromosomal misinformation and that's why a lesbian is a lesbian.
Homosexualism is genetically ingrained, it could also be a nurtured preference.

I've seen female toddlers walk like boys, talk like boy and grow up seeing themselves as boys. Many a times, they are lesbians.
If they grow up in permissive countries, they are open about their sexual preferences.

But if they are in Nigeria, they get married to a man just to save face but stay up at night licking the househelp's kpekus.
This is genetical.

I've seen straight ladies who became lesbians after staying in an all-girl hostel or attending an only female school.
This is nurtured.

But for anyone to say it is spiritual tops the ridiculous of the most ridiculouses because all ladies are naturally bisexual.
Society even encourages them to because it is okay to see a girl touch a fellow girl's boobs in public, hold hands while walking or call themselves pet-names but very absurd for a man to.

God makes all things perfect and the Bible says that after creating man, he was happy because he created him with no mistakes.

For people who are genetically homosexual, God won't see it as a sin because it is beyond them.
There is a difference between morality and sin.
Like masturbating may be immoral but masturbating is not a sin; so some of our preferences could just be immoral and no sins.

The truth is, God's ways are not man's ways.
So if God loves the lesbians and the misfits, who am I not to?
smiley. Wise words. Many people quoting you and yarning amiss don't realise the shallowness of their minds.

Sodom and Gomorrah? They were a wicked lot. Homosexuality, fornication were among the MANY sins God punished them for. Wickedness was their main thing. The Laws of the old testament are not binding to a follower of Christ anyway. If only more "believers" knew this.

And yes, immorality does not automatically make one a sinner. You can only be born again ONCE. Only the unbeliever is a sinner.

As long as one is born again, all they need to do is open their hearts for God to lead.

Figment of American's enemies imagination.
Silence means consent, intelligent NairaLanders have, for long time now, observed how senseless jihadists have continually concocted defamatory writeup against Trump that killed the Iran Terrorist that is guilty of over 426 American and Christian deaths. These ever blood thirsty perpetual imbeciles said nothing to condemn the killings of Nigerians by Bokoharam, ISWAP, etc. support killings of innocent gullible Christians that have refused to defend themselves. Since non would accept their shallow gospel normally, they kill to take over Christian Lands, Wives and Daughters and converted them to theirs.

God is a Spirit!!! God does NOT come down to do anything for you, He works through you to achieve His purpose on Earth. You need money, food, clothing, protection, victory over those that wants to kill you, but you refuse to arise so that He can grant all these through you?! Ok, you quote scripture to justify your stupidity?! Are you spiritually educated at all?!

Read History. To dumb down and control the Christian world, the NWO agents removed the several countless parts of Bible that encourages Christians to defend themselves, but never foresaw that jihadists would have taken advantage of that for centuries. These satanic muhamadans even quote scriptures here to make Christians that want to defend themselves give up and get slaughtered. They've mastered the act of deception and fake propaganda.

The NWO agents that watered down the Bible and turned it to brainwashing tool mistakenly only left the part where Jesus said "sell your cloths and buy swords". They reduced Bible from 87 Books to 66 Books and introduce pulgatory, indulgence, etc. The further reduced in to 14 Books called Slave Bible that they used to brainwash, dumbed down and prevented Africans from defending themselves during the Slave Trade era. They turn Bible to tool of perpetual slavery instead of empowerment as it was originally. Free yourselves from mental slavery!!! God never order you to submit yourselves to slaughter as gutless chickens. Biblical David, Daniel, Gideon, Martin Luther King Senior, Donald Trump, etc. all fought and liberated Christians in their time shall all make Heaven while cowards Christians that quote what RC put to enslave them shy away from fighting amd defending their own future generation shall forever roast in HellFire.

Many thanks to Trump, Christians are waking up worldwide. Any cowardly Christian that has not woken up to allow GOD to use him/her to fight and destroy the enemies of their future generation shall not make Heaven. The Book of Revelation said such cowards shall be thrown into HellFire! Jesus is not a liar, he said he did NOT come to destroy the Law that helped Humanity maintain sanity before he came, the Law says "He that killed with sword Must die by the sword!" Which means that all muslims that have killed Christians must be killed so that the World would finally know peace. In fact, coward Christians are the reason why the World keep suffering, because they are causing an inbalance that makes killers thinks they can kill and nothing would happen. They dare not the nonsense they are doing in Nigeria in India, because Hindus have killed them with triple destruction when they tried, likewise China has slaughtered the few ones that tried to start the nonsense they doing here there.

I've seen these deceitful souls mohamedans quote dumb Bible verses to make Christians continue to submit themselves to them for slaughter like brainless chickens. The only language that these satanic blood-thirsty bastards understand is higher destructive violence. They are completely evil in their nature to shed innocent blood and they don't stop until you speak the language they understand, which is to massively kill them with triple destruction more fiercer than their capability..That is the only way they will allow you to be what GOD has sent you to be on Earth. Isreal, India, China, America, and other sensible people have woken up to that reality, but some coward Christians are still hiding under dumbed-down scriptures to selfishly cowardly watch their wife and children being rendered fatherless. Once and for all, Nigeria Christians free yourselves from real mental slavery!
After all the fine ranting, you couldn't quote any portion of the Bible to give your religious beliefs credibility. I wonder, which Jesus are you referring to? Last last, you go join your enemies you're helping the Lord to fight in hell.

passion007:
OP, your article is one of many narrow-minded posts that further strain the relationship between African Americans and African migrants. Your situations are far from the same. Just because you had free education or paid next to nothing to get schooled in Africa doesn't put you on the moral high ground to advise. What is the average cost of tuition in America? How many African Americans can afford it, given the poverty in their neighbourhoods. This is, again, the same Nigerian brash intrusiveness of offering unsolicited advice about a situation they do not fully understand. You think they are fixated on race, and that statement would offend any African American. You have no idea what they have endured over the decades, but now you, in a very offhand way, advise them to have a different relationship with white people because you had a different experience with them. Ridiculous conclusion that!
Your article was alright until you started to proffer advice, and in so doing, put the African American in the wrong and suggested their minds need repairing while the African is the ideal of all he should aspire to. You can see the same sentiments being echoed through the comments. According to you, the African fully integrates into mainstream American culture, but this integration conveniently excludes understanding the African American experience. How is that not a rather upsetting integration? The relationship between both groups is clearly damaged, but any repair must first identify that there are also things the African can improve upon. Relationship is a two way street!
This is the kind of hypocrisy and arrogance that Nigerians especially display without apology. Apparently it's regarded as being real and a representation of the Nigerian resilience.

Many Nigerians on and away from this forum have the tendency to resist change form their narrow minded ways. A sorry sight.

Religion / Re: Christmas Vs Easter: Which One Is More Significant? by HarryDuce(m): 7:55am On Dec 25, 2019
OP don't mind people calling your question irrelevant. It is not. People get defensive when they don't read their bibles and other books to broaden their knowledge of Christianity.

The birth of Jesus is not relevant as compared to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the sole reason we're Christians; that is, Christ followers: His death and resurrection.

The 25th day of December has no significance to Christians as far Jesus Christ is concerned.

25th was made popular by pagans worshipping their god-- the sun. The Christians of old didn't like the idea of non Christian rituals gaining popularity year in year out even among Christians. Seeing that they couldn't stop the pagans, they decided to celebrate something on that day. As we can see, there was nothing more fitting than marking the birth of Jesus even though it is more ceremonial than significant.

A lecturer I know once said:

Paraphrased "Nigerians (Africans) have quick sulotions to everything and a lasting solution to nothing."

Africans are quick to scream "religion", "our culture", "black man's values", whenever they cannot see reason or proffer solution in cases like this.

I'm sure a significant number of Americans don't support homosexuality, but if there's anything to learn, it is the fact that the human brain is far from limited in its quest for knowledge and understanding.

I cannot say the same for Africans who see white people as synonymous with extreme wisdom in one facet, and then turn around to say black men are equal - even "superior"- to white people all-round in another. It's ironic really.

saro-wiwa was used against biafrans during the civil war. He supported the genocide against biafrans and was later hanged by those that used him. Ken saro-wiwa is a sell kout!
So he should have supported them to subjugate his people further? Believe it or not, the Biafran soldiers were barbarian savages that engaged in forced conscription of Rivers natives. Unwarranted mass relocations were carried out on the natives by the Biafran soldiers among other barbarisms. This is a fact. (The Nigerian troops were no saints of course).

Why should he (or any non Igbo) have supported Biafra when things like these were happening?

So many things happened from the end of the Biafran war to the time of his death. The specifics don't correlate as much as you'd like. People moved on. Emotions more important than misplaced grudges were at the forefront of people's minds.

I find it ironic when people say America was founded on God, especially when it's coming from a person that is not white.

Trump is not morally upright judging from his actions past and present, but that aside.

We shouldn't expect religious barbarity in saner climes of the world like we've come to accept in Nigeria. Trump might turn out victorious, however, not because his supporters are morally and religiously upright, but because their interests are paramount.
