Op so what is your grievance? These guys are doing the best they can with what is at their disposal. There are hardly any public bins in PH for the masses not to throw their garbage on the ground. The government does not deem it necessary to provide it seems. 1 Like |

Gas flaring, both from oil theft and from the government. The business is on the increase and booming. Nobody seems to be bothered to do anything about it. |

smeag0l:What state are you from if I may ask? It would be pointless to point out obvious achievements by the indigenes to someone like you with a very toxic mindset. Why are you in Rivers state in the first place? I'm sure you can get a better quality and standard of living everywhere else according to your write-up 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Why Africans Are So Hated All Over The World? by HarryDuce(m): 8:37am On Apr 17, 2020 |
Wealth, material resources. Take your pick When Africans stop running to other countries for aid and assistance solely on their terms, when Africans act like humans that exist in the 21st century, then, we would see a semblance of respect. Wailing would not help us in the long run as we have come to discover. There would always be disrespect as long as we throw ourselves at the feet of others. |

•The citizens and the leaders are not the same. •The Ayatollah is not very popular among the citizens. •The conflict was started by America in a bid to protect America's interest; they have no moral ground to play victim. |

Politics / Re: Governor Wike Asks Traditional Rulers To Stand Up With Their Staff Of Office by HarryDuce(m): 12:43pm On Jan 15, 2020 |
Well, they were all appointed by Wike; he appointed first class rulers where there were none. No surprise It is easy for him to tell them off. I doubt he can do such to respected rulers without backlash like king Jaja of Opobo or Amanyanabo of Kalabari. 1 Like |

NwaAmaikpe:. Wise words. Many people quoting you and yarning amiss don't realise the shallowness of their minds. Sodom and Gomorrah? They were a wicked lot. Homosexuality, fornication were among the MANY sins God punished them for. Wickedness was their main thing. The Laws of the old testament are not binding to a follower of Christ anyway. If only more "believers" knew this. And yes, immorality does not automatically make one a sinner. You can only be born again ONCE. Only the unbeliever is a sinner. As long as one is born again, all they need to do is open their hearts for God to lead. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Iranians Protest, Tell Supreme Leader To Resign Asap After Ukrainian Plane Crash by HarryDuce(m): 11:07pm On Jan 11, 2020 |
Tocheagle:No. Iran is not 100% Islamic like many assume. The Ayatollah you see today shed the blood of many to stay in power. The general disdain for the West as at then, made the transition a bit easier because even non Muslims were in support, ditto, Marxists. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: ECOWAS New Currency - Compare Ghana's Response To Nigeria's Response by HarryDuce(m): 12:41pm On Dec 31, 2019 |
The Ghanaian response shows the application of tact more so than the one from Nigeria. You cannot play big brother in a detached reality. Someone else is sure to fill that void. For those referencing Brexit, they know next to nothing about the motives of the Brexit party. Nothing economical about the whole charade as some wrongly assume. |
Religion / Re: Christmas Vs Easter: Which One Is More Significant? by HarryDuce(m): 7:55am On Dec 25, 2019 |
OP don't mind people calling your question irrelevant. It is not. People get defensive when they don't read their bibles and other books to broaden their knowledge of Christianity. The birth of Jesus is not relevant as compared to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the sole reason we're Christians; that is, Christ followers: His death and resurrection. The 25th day of December has no significance to Christians as far Jesus Christ is concerned. 25th was made popular by pagans worshipping their god-- the sun. The Christians of old didn't like the idea of non Christian rituals gaining popularity year in year out even among Christians. Seeing that they couldn't stop the pagans, they decided to celebrate something on that day. As we can see, there was nothing more fitting than marking the birth of Jesus even though it is more ceremonial than significant. 1 Like |

For the federation to be waiting on oil money year in year out is a manifestation of utter laziness and thiefing ability of our leaders and masses alike. All 36 states fit in here. No exemptions. Foreign Affairs / Re: Edgar Lungu Wants U.S. Ambassador Out Of The Country For Defending Gay Couple by HarryDuce(m): 12:43am On Dec 21, 2019 |
A lecturer I know once said: Paraphrased "Nigerians (Africans) have quick sulotions to everything and a lasting solution to nothing." Africans are quick to scream "religion", "our culture", "black man's values", whenever they cannot see reason or proffer solution in cases like this. I'm sure a significant number of Americans don't support homosexuality, but if there's anything to learn, it is the fact that the human brain is far from limited in its quest for knowledge and understanding. I cannot say the same for Africans who see white people as synonymous with extreme wisdom in one facet, and then turn around to say black men are equal - even "superior"- to white people all-round in another. It's ironic really. 3 Likes |

cupidFlint:Who are the "those"? I know only of Abacha. I never knew Ken was an Abacha supporter. Abacha was not instrumental in the Biafran war by the way. Ojukwu's opinion on the matter would for ever be pointless. He didn't have the foresight during the war, I doubt he did many years after. 3 Likes |

frankdoz:So he should have supported them to subjugate his people further? Believe it or not, the Biafran soldiers were barbarian savages that engaged in forced conscription of Rivers natives. Unwarranted mass relocations were carried out on the natives by the Biafran soldiers among other barbarisms. This is a fact. (The Nigerian troops were no saints of course). Why should he (or any non Igbo) have supported Biafra when things like these were happening? So many things happened from the end of the Biafran war to the time of his death. The specifics don't correlate as much as you'd like. People moved on. Emotions more important than misplaced grudges were at the forefront of people's minds. 2 Likes |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Donald Trump Has Been Impeached! by HarryDuce(m): 9:27am On Dec 19, 2019 |
StagethemTVee:I find it ironic when people say America was founded on God, especially when it's coming from a person that is not white. Trump is not morally upright judging from his actions past and present, but that aside. We shouldn't expect religious barbarity in saner climes of the world like we've come to accept in Nigeria. Trump might turn out victorious, however, not because his supporters are morally and religiously upright, but because their interests are paramount. 2 Likes |
