Inferiority complex is an issue affecting many Nigerians and thats why travel agents capitalise on their foolishness and self hate to decieve them to smaller countries promising them heaven and earth only for them to get there and notice that grass isnt greener and the locals there are also strugling to get few jobs available hence xenophobic crisis
Should we also snap pictures of selected areas in Nigeria, like Ikoyi, VI, Eko Atlantic, Abuja Business districs, Kano metropolise, Maitama, Asokoro .. beautiful parts of Portharcourt then we can also decieve people
Anyways, while we keep rubishing ourselves online so that people from Ghana , Togo and Kenya can ridicule us, the Lebanese, Chinese and Indians are trooping in to enjoy what we hate while our people are going out to slave off in mere kenya
. Sometimes I wonder if people who write patriotic speeches like this know the kind of deep poo we're in. Forget Rwanda, Kenya, Botswana etc for a minute. Are you comfortable in the least bit with the way the country is and how it's run? Is the Image of the country more important than the well-being of her populace? What's even there to snap with half leaning electric poles and obscuring wires everywhere? You might not be aware, but Nigeria had so many things working for her in the past that are now aspirations for the future. Imagine the retrogression. The government and the citizens are responsible here. I don't see how its inferiority complex for not being content with rubbish and mediocrity. The Chinese make their money; most of them go back to their saner clime to enjoy their proceeds. |

Although MTN is not as fast as Airtel mostly in and around my locale, it is far more reliable than Airtel. Sometimes my data connection doesn't come on until I remove and insert my sim. Then there's the Edge wahala.
Airtel don do me strong thing. I'm wary of them.
Many people have positive things to say about 9mobile minus the data cost which is a huge negative. You should explore your options periodically. |

TopNotchdecor: This is Venice Italy fooded after a heavy downpour of rain.. I’m not glorifying in misery but at least we know it’s not only Africa that is subjected to natural disasters but it happens all over the world. But I also understand that Africans are the problem of Africa, because these developed countries don’t use every opportunity to shame their government, rather they buttress their opinions in a way that is not undermining or targeted against political correctness.. let’s learn how to be civil and optimistic in tackling our problems.. #commonsense Comments like this usually make little sense. You need to eliminate factors that can be easily solved by the government before you talk of factors beyond human control. What has OUR government done in that regard? Your answer is as good as mine. Why the Fvck should we care about shaming our government? Natural disasters happen, yes. Is that the reason for incompetence? No. There you go. #Uncivilrant. |

Politics › Re: Governor Wike Begs Buhari Government: Please Forgive Us by HarryDuce(m): 9:18am On Nov 07, 2019 |
dominique: Those are probably state government project. I've noticed that most northern governors do a lot in terms of infrastructure, citizens welfare is another story. While southern politicians loot funds and give us substandard infrastructure since they know all we can do is wait online. What is Wike doing with all the billions allocated to Rivers State monthly that he cannot construct ordinary road? Lagos State has been constructing federal government roads without FG support for years now and it's government doesn't get the kind of allocation Rivers get. No northern state can be compared to Rivers State when it comes to project execution. Northern Nigeria does not have mangrove forests and swampy lands that needs to be filled before construction can take place. Despite Wike's hypocrisy, the federal government has stalled this project for too long considering the importance of that bridge (it is VERY important by the way). Monthly allocation is nothing; a very pitiable amount for one to hope on. We should look to the NDDC and the FG instead to know where we can find all the "oil money". The earlier we realise that the monthly allocation the FG currently disburses cannot sustain the country relative to our population, the better for us. Quick note; most of the federal roads in Rivers State were constructed/repaired by the Rivers State government. |
Politics › Re: Biafran Soldiers Killed Thousands: The Genocide In Calabar & More by HarryDuce(m): 8:07am On Nov 07, 2019 |
ChiSomtoChi: So we should start opening our yanshes? Ok na.
The Eastern minorities especially Ijaws and Calabars must do the following;
1. Apologize to the Igbos for seizing their properties and killing the Igbos in rivers, Calabar. Also return WAEC building owned by Ojukwu to Ojukwu's family. Ken Saro Wiwa seized that WAEC building from Ojukwu. Ojukwu built it from his sweat. Lol. 'Seized properties' is just a minute dent when Biafran atrocities are placed in comparison. The fact that you keep denying that the Igbos carried out large scale expulsion of natives in Kalabari communities (and other communities as well), forced conscription of young men of the different minority tribes, unprovoked killing of natives, and so on, will always put you in a negative light whenever Biafra is mentioned. There's no need for me to speak ill of Ojukwu since he's already late. Fvck Ojukwu's properties. 2. Make slavery reparations for the Igbos. Ijaws were constantly kidnapping Isuama Igbos in 19th century to Slavery. The Ijaws were serving as middlemen in the slavery. One manilla= 8 Igbo slaves according to them. Eastern minorities we the Igbos are still waiting for our slavery reparations.
Arochukwu also kidnapped Igbo! That one is a family issue for us! It's a good thing you recognised Arochukwu because most of what you wrote up there are just emotional outbursts. Ijaws didn't invade anywhere or kidnap anybody to capture slaves. Igbos merchants and slavers from prominent clans repeatedly captured people for rival/weaker Igbo clans and sold to the Ijaws and others on the coast. Even your kinsmen admit this much. |

Crime › Re: Florida: Heavily Pregnant Mother Kills Home Intruder With AR-15, Saves Husband by HarryDuce(m): 10:54am On Nov 05, 2019 |
WriterX: The Federal Bureau of Investigation released crime statistics for 2018, indicating knives were more than five times as likely to be used as murder than rifles were. A fact sheet of the FBI’s 2018 crime statistics published [September 20 2019] detailed some of the Bureau’s analysis of crime statistics, particularly studying the types of weapons used in murders. Rifles, as a particular category of firearm, were used to kill 297 people in 2018. By comparison, knives and other cutting instruments were the murder weapon for 1,515 murders in 2018. The rifle category of firearms is a broad one comprised of bolt, pump, and lever-action firearms in addition to semi-automatic firearms like AR-15s, suggesting semi-automatic rifles comprise an even smaller number than the 297 total murders by rifle in 2018.
you're welcome. This just further proves his point. Guns are difficult to obtain illegally in America. |

CHoccolaTE: Lol No make me laugh abeg So she should have stayed and went on living with the unfaithful man until he infected her with HIV or AIDS? Or you missed the part where she mentioned that the man was unfaithful? If you had an unfaithful wife will you stay with her? Also the man was not taking care of the children even when they were together, it's written in the first post so what difference does it make if she stays or goes? Lastly the man is useless and irresponsible. He could have done something to help his kids after seperation if he wasnt so useless. She should've stayed back as long as she, or her children, were not abused or thrown out. It makes a lot of difference. Shelter for one. You cannot compare a man to a woman in this case. You can say its sexism or misogyny and I would agree, but that is the dictate of our society as we see it. The man will most likely fend for himself than the woman would in the same situation. Many people deal with adulterous spouses (men and women) without the knowledge of the kids for years; I have witnessed this in my circle of acquaintances. Had they been childless, her decision to leave would have been understandable and justified (It is justified regardless but not wholly rational). The best thing is to deny your partner sex. You can't stop such a partner from cheating. This is not the western world. Everyone will want to mind their business. That's how it is. @Op Anyhow, the mother's nonchalance towards your observation speaks a lot on her person. I would suggest you inform the necessary organisations/authorities but the practical solution is to help them out financially to leave and get an apartment for themselves. |
