banku: Igbo Women Marry Down But Only Within Ndi-Igbo
There are good women everywhere but there are certain virtue you observe in most Igbo ladies that you do not often see in other women. It is when Igbo ladies marry only within their ethnic group; they are more willing than most ethnic groups to marry down. Most Yoruba ladies would not marry below their “level” unless some circumstances demand it. In the case of Hausa ladies, their families usually introduce them to men above their level. Other ethnic groups may vary.
What is even more surprising is why well-informed Igbo ladies would be willing to marry Ogbete Igbo men when they could do better! Some of us are so envious when we see a well-rounded lady being followed by one of our brothers. You can bet that she is Igbo! The same lady would never consider anyone outside of her ethnic group on the same level with our brother. It baffles some of us. We must ask what it is that makes modest Igbo men score so high with Igbo ladies!
MrRhymes101: I don't understand why you will boldly write someone's name and surname, estate he lives, car he drives, and still make him bend his head in the picture because you're trying to protect his identity. Which identity you the protect abeg? Naija police sha lol
Why do SE always defend and justify evil once it is commited by their brothers. This was how they blindly defended Mmesoma who fraudulently awarded herself JAMB top score only to be disgraced at the end of the day
Eviana: Not sure I was sitting when I typed this. I think I was lying down. Anywhoo, my apologies... Based on your writings, I surely did assume/decide that you hadn't. So now, let me comfortably decide to assume that youhave been to and lived in the U.S. for a considerable amount of time in order to have experienced what I wrote. So clearly you already know what the deal is in the U.S..
I detect the lovely usual "Nigerian" sarcasm in your writing. I was just trying to educate you on real life....and to not be ignorant and tribalistic. You made an offensive comment. I decided to reply.
Please accept my apologies.... Be blessed and take care
Lol... Don't mind me, I was only goofing around.
Surprisingly, he people that worries me the most are even fellow blacks (I mean the AAs) their wahala no be here oo
Nsogbu001: I think is very bad for the first lady of a country to threaten a particular tribe. Must everyone support Tinubu. This should be investigated biko
Ttalk: I have said it times without numbers that Ikpeasu the Kerosene merchant would make a better President than Peter Obi . This is a man who deported Igbo that is not from Anambra from civil service, he drove the Hausa from their market in Anambra and ensure only Igbo got LP tickets in Lagos, is that the kind of person that can govern Nigeria?
Abi oooo....
Obi de LAMBA is an incurable BIGOT on a religious war
adewaleadeyemi8: This story no really complete, oga no tell us him true sins. Shey na forced marriage with the wife, abi he wan add anoda wife abi he bin wan divorce her
If d woman mean to finish dis man, na him obituary we for see now
Eviana: Excuse me, but if or when you ever come to the U.S., you will not be looked at as Igbo,Yoruba or Hausa/Fulani or any other tribe. You will be looked at as "black" first...not African. I am 99 percent sure you WILL be discriminated against, racially profiled and more just because of it. When you have not experienced being a minority in the wealthy nation of the U.S, then you have not the slightest clue...on how race relations exist. Igbo's have been victims over there in Naija and over here in the U.S. point blank period. They have a right to express that. That's a fact. Please be careful of how you choose to say someone is claiming victim, cause it just might be you one day. Then you will have to humble yourself and apologize. Experience is the best teacher
Now respectfully back to the subject at hand, perhaps there was a miscommunication between the event organizers and thd hotel management. The Westin is a very nice & pricey hotel chain. Usually, the capacity is stated up front. Hopefully, the Igbo's didn't ignore the capacity limit--if it was stated. Hopefully, the hotel management actually stated the capacity limit.
Take care
And you sat down in your very comfortable chair and decided all by yourself that I had never been to the US
successmatters: The kind of lies people tell to demarket south east is pathetic. In most Igbo traditional burial ceremony, gifts are exchanged, even money is donated in open and in secret. There is this proverb in Igbo "Oji ego kwaa nna ya maka na obughi opara gburu ya"
Its very normal to give raw cash or cheques, or spray the cash in the presence of every guest, it has nothing to do with the woman mourning her father passionately our not. Even if the woman fails to dance, she will still be appreciated for her position in the family. Its a show of love to one's relatives and can be done anywhere and on any occasion.
Stop twisting tales to paint a tribe in bad light.
Thanks.
What about all the IIGB0S that were convicted of drug trafficking in Asian countries and awaiting death penalty. Did the Asian countries also paint them bad?
001Lagos: When they rush to the media to debunk a story, know that the story is true .
Oluremi Tinubu have been caught severally on video threatening to wage war on the igbos if her husband becomes president even because the igbos didn't support her husband ambition
She's not fit to be first lady of this great country but corruption on the path of INEC gave her the privilege
Asswipemod: I am the one who calls you a bloody, hypocritical interloper! A rabble rouser! An unhinged religious bigot. An unaccommodating fanatic who thinks the world only belongs to Mohammedans.
duro4chang: With the way you are going about this issue it appears something is wrong with you
Typical gutter IPOB CANNIBALS are quick to resort to insults as that is the only thing they know
The former president is a Muslim. The present president and his vice, the speaker of HOR and the chief judge of federation are all muslims. That's 4 of 5 highest offices in Nigeria and yet Muslims are persecuted? Persecuted by who? Christians or Traditional worshippers?
Thought most Nigerians agreed that religion does not matter in governance as it is evident in the choice of the president and the vice president.
How come it matters now with a Muslim governor who is powerful in his office appoints more Christians than Muslims? People that he can usurp anytime he feels?
Only wise people know that to gain power, you hold a sword by it's handle and not the blade. And that is what Elected officials have. They have the power.
So if 4 of the first 5 in the country and you didn't cry persecution and the governor of osun state also a muslim and you didn't cry persecution. But during their appointments, you're are crying of persecution because a governor selected more Christians than Muslims, then it tells a lot about your personality and the level of your sense of judgement.
People with double standards don't really end well in life. Go and verify.
1) Stop smoking mkporu mirri because you don't know the difference between election and appointments.
2) So you feel you guys are on a revenge mission in Pain state
3) Did you see any appointments that is as lopsided as the one in Pain state?
SIRTee15: Every one that pints out u guys servitude to northern Muslims is ipob.. Anyway, what we want is for u guys to stand on YOUR OWN. u dont need the north. Make us proud in the south.
