Needless to say, the second term of President Buhari has been a total disgrace so far. Maybe our democracy is just not okay for second terms. Most second terms in Nigeria are worse than the first.
I still stand by the fact that President Buhari is a better candidate than GEJ or Atiku.

Better in what sense exactly? With all that is going on? With all the comparative indices that are now plain to see?

Blind obstinacy plus malicious ignorance is a very messed up combination.

Malami’s attempt to order a probe into the incident today is a face saving afterthought that is too little and too late. The president needs to start listening to better advisers going forward. Without Obasanjo (and Atiku), there would be no El Rufai. Atiku brought him out from nowhere and influenced his appointment as BPE head in the first term of Obasanjo's administration, after which OBJ liked the man and later made him FCT Minister. That was how EL Rufai was 'created'.

Igbos may not have abundant natural resources, Igbos may be landlocked and etc, but we are created special.

We are gifted with a type of spirit you can't find anywhere in Africa.

The truth is that, in spite of the pseudo 'beef', partly fuelled by mutual suspicion and jealousy and partly fuelled by the North, a Republic of Southern Nigeria consisting of Igbos, Yorubas and the different ethnic groups from the South South and Middle Belt would be an African Super Power of unprecedented dimensions.

There would be no political ojoro or marginalisation in such a country, because everyone is educated, exposed, and sensible. Nobody go cheat anybody. Unlike the current abokki dominated Pederal repubulik op 'Naijeriya' where unproductive and parasitic quota system dumbos are in charge,, everyone in a Republic of Southern Nigeria would bring something valuable to the table. The Constitution and political arrangement would not only encourage fairness and equal distribution of political opportunities, it would also entrone meritocracy in the political and socioeconomic space. I'm confident. It seems far-fetched, but trust me, it is workable.

I laugh if you think that 4k is enough to settle 5 checkpoints, buy a car and drive it past 3-5 check points and see how much you must have spent, I travel through this road with my car and the police collect minimum of 200 naira, at one time in September on my way to Enugu, I spent roughly 20k on the road before getting to first Niger bridge, I didn't stop to eat anywhere and fuel money is not inclusive, I mean from sagamu bypass to Abor Delta State I spent about 21,600 in settlement for a car I used to travel in June too, these guys will park you by that road and delay you till you pay, you will be seeing transport companies passing, and they are sent from the north, so what they can do is delay you till 6pm, and they will tell you to continue your journey.
Custom officers that were stopping me were collecting atleast 1500 for officer on duty, it was at Benin that I now had to buy one of them cigarette and then ask him what is wrong with my custom papers, he said sincerely" your papers dey complete", still he collected 1k from me as officer on duty, so wait till you travel, driving your own car, then comment like this again if you don't know what to do with time and �

Driving in a private car from Lagos to the East is a nightmare. I can't even contemplate it.
