The vanity of everything. It's just sobering. |
Double post. |
Always funny when the more accomplished and more successful public figure always seems 'freer', more natural, and happier to take a photo with the famzing, typical, empty celebrity. You'd see one useless Olamide faking a nonsensical frown in a photo with Seriki Dangote, while Baba himself would let off a hearty smile. Who is fooling who? If it's supposed to be an act, you empty celebs should stop it. Don't keep a stupid straight face or fake a slight frown when you are taking a picture with a more consequential someone that you clearly sought out for a photo-op! Doesn't make us take you more seriously, neither does it amplify your importance. It just makes you look foolish. Nuff said. |
"Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues , but the parent of all others" - Cicero. I love grateful people, because I am one. Without Jonathan, Wike would never have become governor. Simple. And he is still loyal, as he should be. That's how things should be. I hate slimy, ungrateful, two-faced backstabbers. Fayose, I am waiting for you to invite Jonathan to commission a legacy project in Ekiti. The reason is more than obvious. |
I don't get it. What law empowers the so-called DSS to detain anyone they like indefinitely, without charging him or her to court? If such a law exists, why isn't the National Assembly making frantic moves to repeal such an obnoxious and vexatious law? This Gestapo system doesn't look right in any way. |
Do people still go on dates in Nigeria? In the real sense of date? I doubt that. Chivalry is dead. Because females these days are transactional in mindset. It's all about what I can get, what I can grab, what he has to offer...Flash, pizzazz, appearances..all for the "gram'. No more organic, old-fashioned falling in love with the person rather than with the package. No more substance. No more soul. A wasted, soulless generation of self-entitled, pecuniary, emotionally blunted, 'love' peddlers. |
funmisticqueen:And how many of his requirements do you fulfil, with your black face like Baba Suwe's love child? |
Yet another poignant reminder of the meaninglessness and ephemerality of life as we know it. All our concerns and pursuits are a huge joke. Our very existence is the biggest joke of all. We must learn to savour the moment and enjoy life for the meaningless experience that it is.... After all, nobody makes it out of life alive. |
Why is the bastard's cap still firmly glued to his head, and why is his uniform still fitted to his body? Nigerians can be so shamefully cowardly. The fool should have been bloodied and ripped apart like the chicken that he is, one limb at a time, right there in public glare. The same way "unknown soldiers" commit atrocities and get away with it, that's how the "unknown mob" should have killed the worthless animal and vanished into thin air. The fact that he is still breathing at this moment makes me very depressed. |
markpenk:This kind of orientation explains why the expectation of faithfulness in a man is nonsensical. Since the "practical" necessity of money is so important to most women as you claim, and craved by most females, can you tell me one thing that differentiates YOU as one woman from the millions of women out there who want the same material things that I have, and why I shouldn't 'sample' those women too, rather than stick with the same monotonous and stale you for the rest of my life? Remember that the most "practical" thing about money is its utilitarian value. It gives you freedom - choices - options. If your dress gets torn at the side, with money, you don't have to stitch it (or manage it), you simply discard it and buy another dress. If a house is too small, with money, you can easily move to a bigger one. If a pot of soup becomes putrid, with money, you don't have to manage it, you simply throw it in the trash can and cook another fresher and more delicious one... And so on. Of what use, then, is my money if I'm supposed to stick to you for better or worse, knowing that you wouldn't even be with me if I didn't have that money, and knowing that for that reason, you're not different from other girls out there? What is the supranatural bond that should tie me to you in spite of anything else, considering the transactional nature of our union (I'm with x because he possesses y)? ? ? It's a vicious cycle of deception. No amount of specious logic, fine words, or big English can change that fact. Any man who God has blessed with any level of material comfort or riches, and yet decides to take any girl with this transactional mindset seriously, is the biggest fool that ever lived. |
Organs:May God bless you abundantly. It is sickening how shallow, materialistic, and daft most of us Nigerians are. The truth is that only less than 1 percent of Nigerians are truly wealthy enough to be immune to poverty, no matter what, for life. Most people who think they are very comfortable because of their so called good job are just over broke (JOB)... Just one snap of a finger away from abject poverty, frustration and death.... If the vicissitudes of life hit you, your so-called rosy life would come crashing down. You think you're cool because you have one high paying job.... Who says you can't lose that job. Who says that your house you managed to build can't be lost to one ugly incident or the other... Who says that your car that's making you feel cool with yourself can't be lost to an accident or sold off to cover a debt, or whatever? All sorts have happened in this life. It is foolish to choose a life partner on the basis of very flimsy and temporal considerations. Truth is, God forbids for me to even consider a girl that thinks I am worthy/ready for marriage only because I have xyz job or xyz business, or have a car, or have "international exposure" (can you imagine? ). These are all temporal pieces of nonsense. I know men who had several cars yesteryear but have none today. Ditto those who had nothing yesteryear and have many today. Unfortunately, It's really not about potential, ambition or whatever. Life is unpredictable and shit happens anyhow it wants to. These kinds of retarded girls with shallow mentalities are only useful for flings and casual affairs. Make them your WIFE at your own risk. Marriage is one long and unpredictable journey, that's why the 'for better or for worse' principle is applicable. |
If it's only three players, then it's not a 'list' in the real sense. |
Visited him as what? As who? For what? Well, that's the power of money. Money buys you relevance, buys you friendship, even buys you human souls. Money is, after all said and done, the answer to all things. |
technicallyrich:Lol. Shit is funny 's hell. |
directonpc:That's the whole idea man. I wish most men would understand this. Always wife the girl that has made you the most happy, in spite of your shortcomings, warts and all, without really asking for much in return . This, to me, is your wife. Most guys have had these kinds of rare breeds at one point or the other, but we don't see their innate value until we lose them (I saw mine though, and I shall wife her o, lol). Stop looking at fake ass bitches like the useless one we're talking about here and expecting to marry a 'tushed' or 'packaged' girl. All na wash. |
This kind news dey sweet me well well. I don't know why I just hate any idiot that tows this accursed whistle-blower path. Maybe because I've always been repulsed by snitches. |
Is this not the same Benz he has had for at least three years now? It was formerly white in colour, perhaps he just re-sprayed it. |
He should have been left to die there. Idiots. |
NwaObinkita:Hehehe. |
I'm sure our resident meme creators would love the first picture. Food don done for them. |
dsubtle007:Can you give me the lowdown on how to advertise on Facebook, how the system works. I'm interested in advertising specific targeted services, but I have no clue about Facebook advertising in Nigeria (who gets to see the adverts, how long does it run, etc). |
I'm more interested in the super hot model that appeared in the 'Coolest Kid in Africa' Video. |
stanway:Abeg where can we buy bullet proof dogs? |
Our mere coordinator is coordinating things. Good to know. |
The sheer number of closet thieves on this thread is staggering! No wonder you can't leave your phone on a table anywhere two or three are gathered (even in the church) and return after just 2 minutes to find it intact. Too many fellow citizens are congenital thieves. |
Ehi07:This entitlement mentality is one thing that I hate most about many Nigerians. Every poor fool goes about thinking that the rich man he happens to have access to owes him something. And if that 'thing' he feels entitled to isn't given to him, then his evil heart would start plotting one evil scheme or the other to either take it by force or to bring peril to the rich man. Envious, miserable souls everywhere. How the hell does anyone owe you anything? The only people in this life that owe you anything are your parents who brought you into this world! We agreed to a certain salary for your services, but because you now have access to my household and can see my lifestyle, you suddenly feel you deserve more. Imagine such fuckery! I can be very ruthless with filthy vermins like this. It is too ridiculous to even think about. |
hardbody:Why do you Nigerians think that any rich man is "stealing" your money? How? Where is it indicated in the story that the boss is a politician or public office holder? Is it not clearly stated there that he is a businessman? Why does he owe you an explanation about what he does or how he makes his money? Your money lost, wey you dey suspect say na him thief am abi wetin? Haba. |
hardbody:A long walk to where? So you would whistle-blow on me and my hundreds of millions, and you think your life is assured, or that you would settle down to enjoy my money in peace? If you like, run to New Zealand or Papua New Guinea. I will hunt you down, and I shall do the needful. At any cost. At all costs. You people shouldn't encourage reckless and thoughtless actions. |
Diplomaticbeing:Very true. In fact, I hate bringing people too close, especially these hypocritical eye service 'poor' wretches. Very sad, evil-minded, treacherous souls, most of the time. Give them their crumbs and keep them very far. |
eezeribe:This is an excellent synopsis of the Nigerian condition. That's why I get particularly upset when I see hypocritical noise makers who are quick to condemn politicians and yahoo boys, forgetting that they probably comot more scams in their daily endeavours than the politicians or yahoo boys I'm question. |
The moderators must be drunk. Why put such a poorly written and barely comprehensible article on the front page? |
