PassingShot:Exactly ! those lazy, pot-bellied Generals will hate the fact that they've been moved from 'luxurious' Abuja to Maiduguri, so they have no option but to sit up. the longer it takes for them to end the boko haram menace, then the longer they will remain at Maiduguri without all the perks they enjoy ![]() |
shawlar:same here too. although, my hubby terms it 'passport greed' as my child is entitled to UK passport anyways and he cant understand why i would want to leave free UK NHS to spend $$$$ abroad. But then i remind him that, dual citizenship hurts nobody ![]() |
wow !! a nigerian president standing at the front row. Buhari is respected worldwide. NO DOUBT ! this is a sign of greater things to come |
favoredgal:Chai. that 8 weeks is long oh. so what is the earliest that a baby can board a plane? no vex for sounding naive. FTM thingz i actually thought BA allowed women to board with fit-to-fly letters up to 38weeks - i just checked their site and its 36weeks and its the same with virgin atlantic. do you know any airline that permits flying after 36weeks? that said, you will be amazed by the number of parents going to the US to birth even though they've got credible passports. thanks for your input. really appreciated. |
modath:hahahaha. i try hard to be chilled oooooooo. lol meanwhile, i see you are active on the US birth thread and you come across as being well versed with the whole process. I have been contemplating going to the US to birth, although my husband and mum are not in support of the idea they think its not worth the stress. why leave free NHS to spend $$$$ abroad. But then my argument is there is no harm in a child having both UK and US passports - even boris johnson (London's mayor) and many others have both although Boris recently renounced his US citizenship )my main issue is that i dont want to stay long in the US. if possible 2 weeks - pre and post delivery (wishful thinking i know ). how 'late' can i leave my departure to the US and how soon can i return back to my base (i just stumbled on a post on that thread where a woman said she got the BC and US passport in one week). i dont think i will need a nigerian passport/visa for my baby at that stage since i will be travelling back to the UK and not Nigeria. |
congrats to biggal and kechyl. God bless your beautiful children. Amen |
freakingout:i replied your pm. did you get mine? i had to change email as i couldnt remember the password for the email linked to this account. God will grant all your heart desires and that of the beautiful ladies on this thread. Amen. Babydust to all. |
maypra:interesting. thanks for this. if you do not mind me asking, at what week of your pregnancy did you leave for Houston? I am based in Europe and i am currently thinking about birthing in the US. |
jany:I no wan talk that one before but you spoke my mind. Lol In fact, from the moment she began leaking fluid, she should have gone to the hospital and remained there till she gives birth. |
modath:I have been expecting your post. I love you modath. You say things as they are. |
biggal:Madam, you are only 4cm away from being fully dilated. Abi, you wan born for house? ![]() Please stay in the hospital and call someone to bring your bags for you. |
Hmmm. Why is atiku travelling up and down? Releasing statements like he's in power ![]() What is he trying to achieve? ![]() I hope he's still not nursing the ambition to be president some day because I don't understand why he is always keen to be in the news. |
biggal:Madam, get yourself to the hospital ASAP and get yourself and your baby checked by a doctor. Yesterday, you noticed fluid leaking (which could be your amniotic fluid leaking), now it's blood. Please stop all these calls to nurses, etc. Get yourself to a hospital fast to get yourself checked. |
LegitDiva:congrats dear. welcome to the club. i know that feeling ![]() start taking folic acid tablets once a day and start shopping around for a good hospital to register/start your antenatal visits |
tiamiyukunle69:as in eh. . . . real abomination ? a whole yoruba traditional ruler. . . those robbers have guts ! |
Freshnessbabies:how do you know that you are not ovulating? i do not see how fibroid located outside the uterus can stop ovulation do you know how to track your cycle? do you know your cycle length? do you know the signs of ovulation? do you know how to manually work out your fertile days? have you done a TVS scan at the right time of your cycle to know if really you are ovulating? do you baby dance on your fertile days? without doing all these, i wont suggest you start inducing with drugs and pills as you might just be treating a non-existing problem. besides, the scan result you posted confirms that your ovaries are okay. please, dont hang the blame on conceiving on the fibroid. your doctor has told you it wont affect your fertility, so why are you concerned? i have come to realise that fibroid is seen as a BIG DEAL in nigeria, meanwhile the foreign doctors see it as little or nothing(especially if its small). i was also fretting like you when i was told about the fibroids until my doctor told me to freaking calm down and in actual fact worrying/fretting alone can lead to issues with conceiving. for the apple cider vinegar, get 'braggs raw apple cider vinegar'. see the attached picture below. you should get it at any major supermarket or maybe online (jumia). one of the beautiful ladies here should be able to tell you where you can get it depending on your location.
|
Freshnessbabies:mine were smaller than yours and i was told my uterus was bulky. i dont know the full technical details of my scan result as it was done by the sonographer and sent straight to my doctor. my doctor never showed me the result either as we just discussed the results over the phone and that was it. mine is also located outside and just as your doctor has told you, my doctor also told me that it cannot cause infertility AND HE WAS RIGHT. my doctor saw it as a complete non-issue. get apple cider vinegar and start drinking it (diluted with water) which was what i did. some of the beautiful ladies here have spoken about black strap molasses but i have never used it before. my doctor advised me he told me to watch my diet (i stopped full cream/skimmed milk and switched to almond milk), start exercising, take lots of fresh fruits and vegetables., eat lots of fruits and vegetable, exercise and i should take FOLIC ACID TABLETS once a day and also an 'A-Z MULTIVITAMIN TABLET' once a day. most importantly, you need to track your cycle, know when you are ovulating and baby dance during your fertile days. |
Freshnessbabies:there are different types of fibroids. what type of fibroid do you have? how many have you got? where's the location? what is the size? do you have any discomfort from the fibroids? pain? heavy menses, etc? if this will reassure you - i was diagonised with fibroids even before i was ready to have a baby. i conceived immediately i was ready and to the Glory of God, the whole journey has gone smoothly. |
Shymm3x:Payback is a b1tch. ![]() USA came second and lost the world cup bid. So that explains it all . . . . . ![]() |
Lol. The fear of "FBI" is the beginning of wisdom. I hope extends its net to Issa Hayatou, AMOS ADAMU (the most corrupt of them all), Sani Lulu and other corrupt previous NFA chairmen. That said, Kashamu, take note. You cannot excape judgement in the US. ![]() |
mytestimony:Amoxil Ibruofen too is a No-No. I was told that clearly by my GP and midwife. Only acceptable pain relieve is paracetamol or codeine taken at the lowest possible dose. (please note that codeine was given to me as a doctors prescription. I'm not sure if it's an OTC medication). |
mumsgirl27:Drink ice cold water or 7up or coca-cola in the evening. Then lie down on your back and relax. Give it 10-30minutes, then you will know what it means to disturb a gentle baby ![]() |
bankai2015:I don't believe you. Which village/state is that ![]() Which parent will carry out FGM on their child in the presence of one random otondo MALE youth corper like you? ![]() |
handie:Wow. That's really sad. How old is your sister if you don't mind me asking? How did she cope with the pain after the deed was done? |
bankai2015:Yorubas do not practice FGM on their girls. It's a known fact!! This barbaric act is common amongst people in the East (Edo and Delta inclusive) as well as the Niger Delta region. |
handie: FGM In 2014? Are your parents not educated and enlightened? Your grandma is wrong. It's actually the reverse. FGM has been known to lead to very painful sex and almost impossible/difficult vaginal birth |
Gboliwe:Shortly after Buhari won the election ma ni oh. He began to come across like someone that had been sidelined from the "gains" of Buhari's electoral victory unlike the likes of Debola, Ayorub and co. He began picking on very unnecessary things. I don't know whether it's an attempt on his part to get recognition amongst Buhari's cabinet ![]() |
favoredgal:thanks beautiful lady |
mumigrace:beautiful lady. i saw your post on the other thread where you posted your cycle info/length. your cycle is similiar to mine before i conceived. if i was in your shoes, i will start BD from the 8th of June at the earliest or the 9th of June at the latest and do so everyday till at least the 16th of June or at the very latest the 19th of June. i am not sure how you arrived at an ovulation date of the 6th of June though. i did months and months of research and calculation and based on this, i conceived the very month i was ready. i agree that BD everyday can be tiring but i dont think doing so for 7-9days is too much a sacrifice to be made. as soon as you get for bfp, you can go off BD and rest well well. that was what i did sha. for my entire 1st trimester, i did nothing. |
wasamtech:Your story is so heart breaking. Really wish I could give you and your wife a big hug right now. Sometimes we should always seek a second professional opinion. As you were aware your son was preterm, you should have just gone to another hospital. That hospital must be VERY wicked to have discharged a baby delivered at 7months with no referral. Hospitals abroad in developed/developing countries will NEVER EVER do such. In fact it's totally unheard of. God will certainly comfort you and give you triple for your loss. Amen. |
Smh. What a shameless couple. ![]() I read online that she's seeking a £50m divorce settlement. which nigerian court will grant that? a union that produced no kids? Besides, where does she expect Fashanu to get the money from? ![]() Fashanu should thank his stars that he didn't wed her in a British court. |
