Have you seen Michelle Obama try to challenge any American Politician? Have you seen Michelle disrespect any elected official? Do you know the first name of the wife of the UK prime minister without Google? Have you seen any of them shut a town down? Have you seen any of them try to initiate a project with tax payers money?
Why are you trying to educate these guys, you should know by now that their hatred is irrational, some hate the man because he is Yoruba, some because he is against GEJ and PEJ and others because he won an award they believe others should have, they need to travel to saner climes to see how people like WS are respected and the way a First Lady behaves, the emphasis is on the Lady part not the First. |
taharqa2: Power Mongers more like it...Tinubu is a bad man, the options are far worse, when it is time yorubas will do away with him, now we need him to fight PDP. |
df2006: You Nailed it bro.So out of that play that was what you took out of it, you did not consider the historical setting, so, Soyinka should have been factually incorrect in order to please you? |
Emmadani: broda, dis one na federal govt and private investors go develop dis one,e no get anytin to do wit fashola. For where, this is an LASG initiative. |
Katsumoto: One point which escapes ACN supporters and which is quite surprising, is that they don't understand the role perception will play in the next election.I am all for good governance, if the ACN model is working then good, if people feel disenfranchised by it, let them vote another party in, and if Yorubas feel the PDP is the next best solution, then by all means people should vote for them, the issue of Iyaloja is a non issue, it is for the traders to fight their fight if they feel she was imposed on them, the issue of selection within the ACN deserves more scrutiny and is easily resolved, let the people reject the ACN candidates at the polls, a note of caution sha, the only party that can displace the ACN is the PDP, if yorubas vote out of spite, well goodluck to them. |
Desola: You seem to be a tad bit confused. On the one hand, you are maintaining that the title of 'iyaloja' is the oba's prerogative yet you assert that the power to kick the new iyaloja out remains in the hands of the market union. Tell me now, who exactly is boss? The Oba or the market union? Or are you suggesting that the title so far has not been conferred by Oba Rilwan so in other words, this young lady is in fact a market leader and not an iyaloja?Kats and Desola The King affirms the choice of the traders, he could disagree with their choice and pick someone else, but, if the traders do not accept such a person or if their interests are not protected, they will kick out such a person, might take time, but, they will get their way, some of these traders are also well connected, we are not talking of the iya alatas here. |
Desola: Does anyone see the double standards displayed here when compared and contrasted against the governors forum saga?I do not think they are comparable, the NGF still has an election even if it is by consensus, the Iyaloja thing is more within the purview of the Oba of Lagos, either way, the market traders will kick her out if she does not improve their lot. |
Katsumoto: How did they arrive at 2/3 supporting her without an election? If they are confident that due orocess wad followed, then they should provide the details. Even when an outgoing leader is nominating a successor in the western world, elections are still held. To use a few nodding their heads in agreement is not due process. The choice of the General Iyaloja is not usually by popularity, it is by influence, the traders in those markets need someone with influence, someone who is well connected, who has the ears of the powers that be, those traders need concessions from government, who better to pursue their case if not someone close to the seat of power, I am sure they are okay with the choice as they can get concessions from government through her, let another government that is not ACN come in, once they smell that she is vulnerable and of no use to them, they will kick her out and install someone with influence, those traders are good politicians. I am sure Tinubu put in a good word for the daughter with the Oba, he is just being a father, the decision I am sure was that of the Oba of Lagos. On the imposition of candidates, ACN does that because they do not want their primaries to be hijacked, a lot of people decamp into ACN, it will be so easy to hijack the party, especially with PDP that has bottomless source of fund. I am all for good people to be presented, whether through primaries or selection. |
So you were banned eh?......no surprises there then. ![]() I just knew your juvenile nature couldn't resist having the last word, even when you have nothing more to say......shows you still have some growing up to do! You had ample time (close to a week) to seek answers (and help ) to some of the questions i asked you earlier, and this incoherent rambling, heresay, them-say-them-say, abuse, and sidestepping of the issues is what you present as your rebuttal? Dude you fall my hand walahi!Anyway, i've moved on since my last post on this thread (maybe until i feel the need to school you again), so let's just agree to disagree shall we? To summarize our discussion: i dislike Awo because he killed my people......you hate Ojukwu because you say he killed my people ; both of us dislike the coupists.....i dislike both '66 and '67 counter coupists for taking life, and you dislike only the '66 coupists but like the '67 ones for revenging the blood of their and your kinsmen; you hate or dislike Igbos for reasons you stated implicitly and explicitly in your posts on this thread......i don't dislike Yorubas and don't believe one should use the action/s of a few to label a whole race; you reckon Awo is infallible and long overdue for sainthood.....i reckon he was a deeply flawed man; we both agree Ikemba made mistakes. This pretty much sums up our discussion doesn't it?Now go get a life! Cheers.
I believe he was banned because of the length of the post not the content. |
dayokanu: Has any of those PDP morrons stopped to think what would have happened at the wedding ifThey expected Tinubu to be exchanging words with uncouth people who can not reason like adults, that smart adeyemi is not fit to wipe Buhari's shoes. |
Sincere 9gerian: What game is beginning? Did you read part of the report that states:Let us start with the allocation and how the oil block was got. |
CFCfan: The Dreamliner is still the aircraft to beat, when it comes to efficient, point-to-point air travel.Have they solved their battery wahala, me I am running away from that plane o, will rather the A380 or A340 for now. |
logica: What are you a policewoman for? Arrest them!I find it annoying that a Police woman who is actually serving is this much of a tribalist, please how is she able to discharge her duties when she obviously hates a tribe, I am even sure she is based in Lagos. |
Allen kee: You people are just funny, you better ask GEJ to turn himself in, afterall, he said they are in his government and one of those who funded BH and infact caused all of this wahala is the Bauchi State Governor, a staunch supporter of GEJ. |
Question - how did they know what was said behind CLOSED doors
When you have more than one person in a meeting, that meeting is no longer secret, there are some in those meetings that will always want the Nigerians to know what is really going on, some of them have conscience and can not stomach the lies they are forced to feed us, you will be surprised that ministers also knowingly leak some of these things, at least when the proverbial tibi hits the fan, they can say they let Nigerians know through back channels. |
Confirmed Buhari supporter, I hope the APC can give us good candidates to chase out these PDP people. |

KATT WILLIAMS |
I just smile at Abati, the whip that was used on the Iyale, is waiting for the Iyawo, it is his time to talk, others will have the opportunity and he will not be welcomed in the comity of men. |
Deep Sight: This is simply intolerance. The issue of terrorism can be solved if the government gets the people on their side, there are so many ways to stop BH, the first way is to hit them in terms of their finances, emasculate their sponsors, also, infiltrate their ranks with intelligence officers, you must get the people on your side, the JTF is probably more hated by the people, there is no way you can defeat terrorism if you are seen as the enemy, there is a reason for the carrot and stick approach. |
Deep Sight: Have you looked at the Homeland Security Act?What you should argue for is the government to seek the co-operation of those who are sincere, our newspapers have a role to play by not glorifying the acts of BH, but, GEJ can not do it by threats, it does not work, civilized behaviour requires that the government rises above BH, there are better ways to handle these things, how anybody can be in favour of giving blanket powers to those in position of authority who have shown over and over again that they can not be trusted with basic powers is beyond me. |
@Gbawe Why are you arguing with these people, the focus is on the benefit to the students and the way the item is used, if he likes, let him name it after his kids, I do not care, it is a step in the right direction and the name is irrelevant. |
What a lot of these GEJ fans do not realise is that the muzzling is now being done via the BH menace, a time will come when these same laws will be used to the detriment of the innocent and the downtrodden, funnily enough, it might not even be used by GEJ, we can not depend on the goodness of human heart when making laws, we can not say GEJ is a good man, so, he has good intentions, what happens when a bad man gets there is left to our imagination. |
I think Lagos State should embark on more of these projects, infrastructure can be done in a PPP while stuff like Education and Basic Health can have far more money pumped into them. |
tomakint: Definitely, with the situation of things the future looks very bleak, where exactly did we get it wrong? We got it wrong right from October 1st, 1960 (Our Independence date)! I have always been an advocate for a good welfare package as means to an end concerning the precarious condition Nigeria found herself, the stark Irony is that, Nigeria is stupendously rich yet, majority of Nigerians are still poor! These blue prints are poised to fashion out an economic agenda of a Welfare State through:What foundation is being laid, abeg forget that thing, things are getting worse under GEJ and if we do not take care, it will continue to get worse as long as we use sentiments to vote. |
ur demons are back again, pls get a better pastor dis time imams dnt cast out no demons
You are an unserious individual, because I am in KSA I am automatically a Muslim, there are Christians here who work and earn a decent living in the Oil industry here, we can see what the Saudi government is doing with its Oil money and beside them, GEJ is a nonentity. |
I am in KSA now and I can see what their Government has done, Jonathan has not achieved anything, if I were to score him, he will get 0.5/10, he needs to learn how to govern effectively. |
The MMA is a cow shed, that airport should just be bulldozed and a new one built, even after the face lift, that one should not even be used for domestic flights. |
KnowAll: Kwara is a snitch state. Jonathan had better watch out for kwara during the general elections. Finally you show your true bias. |
Goddex: Hypocrite Koruji!!!!!!!What stops the FG from having ECA and SWF from its own 56% allocation? Must it also take from the SG and LG portions? |
nwando: You cannot malign a boss that pays your salary with accusations one quarter as grievous as those and expect to still be employedShe does not pay his Salary, he should not have done what he did, but she is being overbearing too if the information is right. |
Ezekwesili one million times. |
