Only Yenagoa is developed and that is less than the size of Ikere-Ekiti, how many roads do you have in that Yenagoa sef? When GEJ was governor you only had two good roads, the one that leads to the secretariat and one other one that has a hotel where LG Chairmen share their montly allocations.

I am not unaware of the wider ramifications which may well result from an implosion within the PDP.
Where we differ, I think, is that I consider this development a necessary evil that can elevate the debate, accentuate divisions, and, ultimately, engender the type of structural change many within the progressive community desire.

Why should I hyperventilate because malignant power brokers have now embarked on a self-destructive course, when my primary concern, as one who is diametrically opposed to all they stand for, should be on getting my ‘progressive’ house in order?

If you really must know, I hope GEJ has enough fortitude to drive his current agenda, predicated on treachery, to its full conclusion. Without heightening contradictions, how else are the long suffering Nigerian masses going to gain the political education they really need?

Fair enough, unfortunately, GEJ will only drive us into wahala that will be difficult to get out of, OBJ can od it and get away with it, I doubt GEJ can.

I think I have seen one of them, we all know that the palliative stuff was an afterthought and meant to hoodwink us, at least when Abacha promised palliatives he delivered, it is so shameful that we continue to get worse governments at the federal level.

eGuerrilla: Reading through some of the comments on this thread, the real surprise for me is that some of the very same observers who see the PDP for what it truly is - a party founded and built on treachery - are the ones who now appear unduly concerned with its internal politics.

This is not about their internal politics, it is about the repercussions that come out of such acts, I do not care for the PDP, but, i do care for the fallout from their inept decisions.

Gbawe: I won't mind that either but these guys just shadow-box around each other. They never take each other down. Instead Nigerians are the cannon-fodders while they fight each other from afar. Afterall, GEJ confessed to knowing who the sponsors of Boko Haram are ages ago. Yet how many of them has he brought to book?

One can only dream my brother, the earlier they all take themselves down the better, it is obvious that PDP's government at the Federal level is a disaster, they are playing russian roulette with Nigerian lives.

Nigerians are in for a rough ride, it was obvious that GEJ would run for a second term, it serves OBJ right to be stung by the mediocrity he imposed on all of us, the earlier GEJ ships him to prison the better; as for GEJ, he will also get his own in future, he is sowing the wind and will reap the whirlwind, the only obvious way out for him is great governance, sadly, he is incapable of that.

I like the fact that they are suing the CBN unlike some people who would have sued Sanusi, I think their answer might be found in the legal tender thing, anyway, this is an opportunity for us to clarify a lot of issues.

Have you sunk this low, never took you for a tribalist sha, in Yoruba land when we marry, we are truly married, the woman becomes part of the family and can be given a native name, the name your husband has chosen is a good one, if you are not happy with it, you need to sit him down and let him know, you do not need to formally change your name (that is going a little bit too far) but, the family members will call you by that sinmisola which is no big deal anyway, when Christian ladies marry muslims, their names are islamised, this is nothing to get worked up about, you still have a lot of challenges ahead of you, this trifling one should not become a major one.

The PDP in Osun are liars, it was Akande that built the complex not Oyinlola, PDP only opened the complex with #100 Million Naira, those guys are a disgrace.

Kolanut, Cocoa and other things only sold by Yoruba people, SW people only go outside of their region to buy what those people have in abundance, going to buy goods imported via Lagos does not make sense, first of all, one of your brothers would have offered it to them right there in Ibadan and will just charge a premium as he is saving them from travelling to aba (afterall his container can pass through Ibadan and cut off at ife towards Ore and Eastwards, also, other yorubas would have bought it from your people in Lagos thereby acting as middle men, the traders have come to buy what is local to you guys and have a market for it shikena.

Nigerians travel far and wide to trade, the goods could not have been imported via Lagos. My mum and I traveled to the North to buy goods when we were young, it is the trading instinct in our peoples.

I am a Sanusi fan so make I defend am small. He was talking about uneven distribution of resources and the last time I checked, the FG with its 56% is the biggest parasite. The 13% to the Niger Delta region is not the cause of the poverty in the North, uneven distribution of resources is one of the reasons but the blame lies with their leaders. I have said it several times, what goes to the FG is too much, reduce it to 25% and use the 30% for states that are just too poor, the modalities for applying the fund can always be worked out, also, SLS is not running for any political appointment, he has a good shot at being the next Emir of Kano.

When you write your language or even yoruba, you use anglicized words because Ajayi Crowther was educated in English, the hausas write their own language using arabic scripts, must everybody copy the english.

I have a neighbor who does not pay his NEPA bills but runs his generator, people should not lie to discredit someone, the pipes run with water and water supply is quite regular, a lot of peeps do not spend extra to pump water since they use the generator for other things anyways, the guy is probably running away from paying for water.

Go and pay your water rates, you are one of those refusing to pay, my office is down the road and my partner lives in Anthony and has regular water supply, heck, we see water flowing when the pipes burst close to the secondary school there, abeg find something else to say jare.

There are more than 13 physical root servers (there are hundreds), they are just wasting their time, they can not get to those root servers.

You can start something with the 500K if you are business inclined, if not, look for those who have some skills and help them sell their products, you might know a mechanic that is super duper, look for clients and handle the repairs of cars for them, a lot of people are looking for reliable technicians, be their link person.

Tinubu should have taken this up with Ribadu in private, he should have directed his anger at Ribadu and not GEJ, we know the PDP government do not know anything about decorum. Ribadu should have at least for appearance sake spoken to the party chairman about his intentions to accept the offer, he does not know if he will need the people he snubbed now in the future.

Who are the shareholders, the ones that lost their shareholding when the bank was bailed out, shareholders are risk takers, the ones that took risk on Oceanic bank lost out, you guys should target the CEOs that stole your money, leave Sanusi out of this and if you are not happy, go and meet AMCON, you can always sue them.
