A Nigerian soldier, who is tired of the situation in the country, has advised Nigerians to go and get their PVCs to ensure that the nation will be 'ruled by a better leader come 2019'.

In a video shared online, the young Nigerian soldier is seen lamenting the current state of the country, while encouraging the youths to get their Permanent Voter's Card to vote in a better leader.

Below is a transcript of what he said;
"I know I'm not supposed to be talking about this but let the truth be told.

Y'all need to go get your PVC.

Yes, sometimes, it's not about how you vote, it's about what they want. Yes, we know that.

We all might vote for someone else and whoever this old ass wants to make the president, or whoever gon rule us, they'll still make their decision because it's a corrupt system . It's way more corrupt than you can ever imagine, that this country will need oxygen to breathe again.

We need a new life. We need everything brand new. And trust me, it's high time we agreed to what Charley Boy said; 'our mumu don do'.

Get your PVC and let's do this. Come 2019, no old ass gon rule us anymore.

Take it or you leave it. It's time for a better change, and not the change we are experiencing now.

A white woman who was reportedly brought up in Nigeria was seen grinding pepper and tomatoes with the local grinding stone used in Nigeria.

The woman squatted as she laboriously grinded the vegetables to prepare her food.

Grinding stones are going to extinct in some major cities in Nigeria. This tends to mock locals who have ditched this style of grinding for the improved methods.

Facebook user, Chioma Agada, took to her page to celebrate her set of quadruplets who turned two years old today.

According to Chioma, she waited for fifteen years before she welcomed her children.

She wrote;

A female student of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra state, has been left injured after she was allegedly battered by her roommate for eating her food.

It was gathered that the incident which took place at Migu Royal Hostel, Amaokpala, as the roommate allegedly beat her colleague with the help of some other students.

Pepper was alleged to have also been used on the victim as punishment for ‘stealing’.

Two schoolgirls have vanished after telling their parents they were having a sleepover at each other’s homes.

Friends Jayden Hassan and J’Nea Beecher, both aged 14, were last seen leaving J’Nea’s house in Nunhead, South London on Monday, August 6, at about 4pm.

The told their parents they were sleeping over at each other's houses, the Croydon Advertiser reports. However, by Tuesday afternoon, August 7, both sets of parents realised that their daughters weren't where they said they would be and contacted police.

Metropolitan Police are investigating their disappearance and believe both the girls are likely to be together. Officers believe they may be in the Essex area.

South African Based Nigerian Prophet, Samuel Akinbodunse has dropped a shocking prophecy about Nigeria and 2019 election.

In a live service at his South Africa Church, the Freedom for all Nation Outreach General Overseer, the man of God made it known that come 2019, Nigeria will have a youth as President and the name of the person starts with 'S'.

A Nigerian Twitter user Ore decided to take action after a Taxify driver bragged to him about sexually assaulting a female passenger who was drunk while in his cab.

Taxify has now reportedly removed the driver from their platform and would hopefully take further meaningful action.

"A Taxify driver just confidently told me that he picked up an inebriated passenger and molested her sexually while she was under the influence.

Apparently, the woman, riding in the front seat, was wearing a short skirt and her privates were exposed.

"I fingered her," he said.

Of course, there's no proof.

Of course, he's blaming the woman's 'carefree' behaviour for his criminality.

It's ridiculously easy to get away with abuse in a society that doesn't respect people's rights to their own bodies.

Update: @Taxify_ng has reached out to me and I have given them all the information I have about the case.

They've acted very sensibly by first pulling the driver off the road, then going ahead with a proper investigation.

Mine was the day a friend that I really trust abandoned me because I don't have money (I was in SS1 then) . We use to take taxi which is 50naira and lap each other and rotate the tf payment. That day I had no money on me, We board taxi and I told him that I don't have any money on me that I will pay our tf for 2 days, he told the driver to stop that I want to drop then he push me out the taxi and went all alone (he has the money to pay and the money will still be the same if we still lap).

I started to trek from school which will take me 2 hours before I get home. 20 mins later, while on my way, someone from somewhere just stopped his bike (not an okada man), ask where I dey go, I told him and he said though his destination is different but he will drop me somewhere close to my destination (30mins trek to my home).

I can't tell how happy I am that day. I never come across till date. About that my guy we are still friends though but I still have the urge to revenge.

Cynthia Cherop, a student at the Moi University, in Kenya has pleaded guilty to stealing money from her mother to spend with her boyfriend.

Cherop, had been accused of stealing KSh70,000 from her mother’s two accounts at the Barclays and National banks before spending it with Josephat Ng’ang’a.

She pleaded guilty to the charge but said she was a first offender. The student, in defense, told the court that she bought second hand ( mitumba ) clothes for her business.

CCTV footage of the Barclays Bank captured Ng’ang’a and Ms Cherop withdrawing the money.

Ng’ang’a was also charged with creating disturbance by threatening to beat up Cherop’s mother, Milka Chebosisi Sitati, on June 5 this year.
He denied the charge and was released on a cash bail of KSh30,000.
Cherop’s mother pleaded with the court to jail her daughter after she pleaded guilty.

Chief magistrate Francis Andayi said it was unfortunate that the accused stole the money to spend with her boyfriend whom her mother did not approve of.

However, two of Ms Sitati’s brothers pleaded with the court to release Cherop to them since her mother did not want to see her. They said they wanted her to continue attending college.

Stunned, the magistrate asked Cherop;
“What have you done to your mother for her to hate you this much?”
State prosecutor Solomon Naulikha asked the court to treat the accused as a first offender and was not opposed to her being ordered to serve probation term.

The magistrate directed that a probation report be brought in court on August 2 to enable her go back to college.

Today, the 12 boys recently rescued from a cave in northern Thailand returned to school. At Mae Sai Prasitsart School in Chiang Rai province where six of the boys attend, all of the 12 boys were given a warm welcome back to school.

The ceremony was also marked with Buddhist prayers, according to Chiang Rai officials.

Dressed in their respective school uniforms, the boys were also given team shirts of Germany’s Bayern Munich football club by a club representative. The dramatic 19-day search and rescue mission for the group, a local youth football team, has gained much attention, sympathy and admiration from around the world.

Many international football clubs have invited the group to come and see matches abroad following their dramatic rescue. After a successful rescue of all members of the group on July 10, the boys aged 11-16 recuperated at a nearby hospital for a week and then at home for another week. Eleven boys, with an exception of 14-year-old Adul Sam-on who is a Christian, entered a nine-day monkhood as an act of gratitude for their rescue.

They left the monastery on Saturday. Their coach, 25-year-old Ekapol Chantawong, the only adult in the group trapped in the cave, is expected to remain a monk for three more months. A museum is being constructed near the cave to commemorate the rescue.
