Christianity Etc › Is Winners Chapel Constructing An Airstrip In Ota? by HigherEd(op):
Leke Beecroft, a journalist and the Son of Pastor Adeniyi Beecroft, a Board of Trustee member and one of the most influential members of Living Faith Church just published a post titled "This Ministry Shall Be Great" on Churchgist and i was struck by a portion of the publication which says the winners church began construction of an Airstrip. I know a license was given by FG to that effect some years ago but it seems the church already began "silent" construction.

The Post by Leke Beecroft.

Politics › Re: Is The Federal Character Principle Necessary?, By Kenneth Amaeshi by HigherEd: 10:31am On Sep 17, 2018
With the level of nepotism and tribalism ingrained in Nigeria's politics, i would tell you it is a necessary evil.

You wouldn't understand this things until you work in the civil service and realise the cause of your regression in career has been because of one bigot sitting in a position of power who just hates you for your tribal or religious affiliation. By calling for federal character at the topmost level of govt we ensure that the little worker and ordinary people are protected from victimisation. For instance it would be difficult enacting an anti igbo policy in a cabinet with two or three igbos, it would be difficult to do...

Do you think if the DSS boss was from Benue, he would allow his people killed unabatedly?

If you eradicate the principle of federal character you would be creating unimaginable chaos.

Wonder why North Korea with all her Atheism is still regressing.
You are a special case of daft! Christianity reigns supreme in near absolute control in five continents of the world. And they happen to be the most peaceful, liberal parts of earth. As a matter of fact the Britain that brought Christianity to Nigeria was far greater than the directionless Britain of today with dwindled Christian worshippers and an uncertain future.

So shut up and look elsewhere for reasons why your country has refused to progress and leave Chistianity-blaming out of a country which has been failing even before the first missionary set a foot on its soil ...

Those three individuals are handling some very unusual amount of money in their ministeries.
The church has done well on the education front despite some reservations about fees in some quarters. But it's time for the church esp Pentecostals to invest in world class hospitals, orphanages, rehabs and well funded IDP camps for christians and non christians in the north east...

Apart from doing it because of the love of Christ we should also do it less the call for taxes would increase as many more notice and envy these ministeries. I would prefer churches invest in these charitable causes than pour money into the pocket of the govt which would end up fuelling an already overlooted treasury...

On another front it is exciting to see that the freeze led attacks is having zero effect grin

Dr Oludayo isn't just any lecturer, he is the Registrar and Bishop's well loved protege.
Women likes him and he also likes women... I don't believe he harrassed anyone. He deserves to be sacked!

The past chaplain warned him but he wouldn't listen. They flock around the guy claiming he is their mentor - the girls now competing for attention probably have now destroyed him.

I heard he resigned yesterday night after they kept tagging his wife who he said is in trauma right now...

CU on its own has tried on her part to ensure lecturers can't harrass students. Rules banning students from staff quarters has been enforced, lecturers have been required to open doors when attending to female students, a lecturer who was accused by a unilag grad some months back for harrassing her 10 years ago had his office wired with a CCTV only to be caught banging another married CU lecturer with one child..

But we still have some girls with toothpick legs who go looking for these sexually starved staff(not excusing the useless staff). Oyedepo needs to now intervene and start sacking anybody sackable ....

This isn't the full chat, the part that proves the girl was somewhat a willing participant has been removed by OP.

They think they can misbehave since the influence/reputation of Oyedepo can protect them, but they fail to realise some of the students equally come from very powerful homes and you would not get away with stuff that happens in public varsities.

Oludayo(the registrar) is a brilliant guy(one of the best public speakers i know) who is extremely loved by the Bishop, but he needs to let him go at this point, whether allegations are true or not Oludayo is presently bad for the image of the school.

Those guys at covenant can be very funny.
CU can be so ridiculous. I'm so happy they lost the case. I hope they are wise enough not to try an appeal because if that cu handbook nears the supreme court, it would be constitutionally shred to pieces.
Education › Re: Adooh Emmanuel Wins Covenant University In Court After Expulsion For "Having Sex by HigherEd:
Mr. Emmanuel the reason Covenant wins in court is presumably because of the badass lawyers i heard they have representing them in court, not because of influence. But you also have an incredibly great lawyer behind you who by the way has a grudge against winners and oyedepo.

Lastly, i hope you sought your legal counsel before making out this tweet because you just gave covenant a lot of reason and motivation to re-expel you for other reasons.

Then what the hell is all these "sex in chapel" thing i'm hearing about. Like who in his/her right senses goes to church to do such a thing!

Finally, i heard from folks inside çu that you had sex with maryln - don't know how true the gist is but it seems legit plus i don't understand why they would rope you for something you are completely innocent.

I don't doubt the part of Muyiwa(registrar) trying to prote ct his own guilty student friends. Whatever, one of the best registrars to ever grace CU has resigned. We know he likes women, but i belief he never harrassed any lady. The ladies were all over him as he was all over them, but being an administrator, he should know better!

Men are in trouble in this generation lol. Any small thing now is sexism. Well, i'm sympathetic to serena and i don't know if there is inequality issues in Tennis, if there is i hope it is addressed. Maybe for a start female umpires should rule games with females while male do so to males just like we have in football.
