I really do envy Ota. In the next few years Ota would be an intensive hotspot in real estate. |
general111:Enenche would do far greater exploits. And that has been Oyedepo's ernest prayer for him and others he mentors. More than most others Enenche ministry seems well modelled after Oyedepo's ministry. But it is obvious that though Oyedepo ministry moved at the speed of sound, Enenche own would move at the speed of light. But i'm happy for BDO though, at close to 70 the man is still making new moves. |
bedspread:Yes it is. I can't even.imagine what the likes of Dunamis, salvation ministeries would be pulling in years to come. |
nwakaibeya1:I'm sure you bought this your phone or laptop you used in typing this with money. I guess you also belong to an "hidden" world. |
Bishop Oyedepo's Canaancity And The "No Foreign Contractor" Doctrine Ifelola Olaleye Something huge is happening in Ota and it is winners chapel's mega($1 Billion) housing project silently taking shape. The estate which is being built on 8,000 hectares of land, formerly twenty four villages(acquired by the Church) is nearly thrice the size of Eko Atlantic. It would also be one of the largest housing estate in the world on full completion. If you think Canaanland is dope then wait till you see Canaancity! Winners chapel is currently running on a mandate to build 100,000 housing units and Canaancity is just the first of many to come. This would definitely go a long way in bridging the 17 million housing deficit that has plagued the country. The Canaancity project would also help in creating untold amount of wealth in the Ota axis. A few weeks ago i went visiting and i had the opportunity of touring the entire phase 1 of the project, i was amazed after being informed that the entire phase had been completely sold off. This was because one of the reactions that greeted the announcement of this project, especially on social media was the skepticism of the church's ability to sell such luxurious homes in Ota at a mega scale. But the skeptics couldn't be more wrong. Infact construction is going at mega speed with hundreds of Nigerian youths working the entire site to ensure speedy completion. Walking through the construction site i could not escape noticing the superb drainage system and road network being put in place. I immediately commended the foreign contractors in charge of the contract. But to my greatest surprise i alongside my colleagues were informed that not one single non-African works on that site. All of the road construction, drainages etc are being put up by Nigerians! I also discovered that the entire Masterplan of the city was drawn up by a team of Architects led by a graduate of Covenant university who works at the Physical Planning department of the church. Also it is necessary to note that the entire Canaanland church estate and Covenant university was equally exclusively put up by Nigerians. No American, Isreali, Lebanese Chinese company as is the case of most government awarded projects in Nigeria. I believe the Nigerian government should learn a thing or two from this as the indigenization of projects in Canaancity would have gone a long way in reducing the financial cost of projects there and could definitely do so for Nigeria too. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=304876483612801&id=226796954754088 Lalasticlala

Freeze always looking for cheap shots. When middle belt folks are massacred in hundreds he looses his voice. Coward! If RCCG isn't targeting converting Muslims then what is the church set up for? The glory of Christianity lies in the ruins of many religion. For any religion to thrive others must die. So i don't know why you are acting all surprised. Maybe you need to count the total number of religion that has been eradicated by christianity. Christianity and Islam have eradicated more religions that even atheism. The most important thing is that let every man propagate his religion in ways it doesn't infringe on the right of others nor violate their peace. A christian is free to offer christianity to a muslim and a muslim is free to offer islam to a christian. Let the man with greater god win. I don't like Leke's tone either, it is too confrontational and unwise. |
Oh my! You just cost yourself your job... It's unfortunate some people harbour this kind of hatred. Was in a tricycle recently here in lagos having the Igbo driver pour out his deep founded hatred for yorubas. The man couldn't even care less that his passengers were mostly yourubas. We all couldn't wait to get off his vehicle. Babcock is a school with many Igbos i believe. And i hope the administration addresses this before they have a calamity in their hands.. Also i would like to know what Daniel Obasi said to have gotten such an hateful response from Mr Ajibola. If this is a case of someone insulting the yorubas then the blame needs to go round. I believe there are too many bigots on that facebook thread and the blame should in fact go round. Though i would never rationalise such hatred but if this Yoruba Guy's response was reactionary then it would be fair to pick on every bigot on that thread. Including the one who probably attacked yorubas first |
Thank you Jesus! You've been doing mega silent miracles since the earth began. Thank you for all your supernatural deliverance in all of the earth. |
This guy and his evil message.... No matter how bad, all churches cannot be corrupted. It is simply impossible. To infer that true christianty can only be acheived when you stop going to church CAN only be inspired talk from the devil. True, God may usher a Christian out of a particular constrictive church which hinders the move of God in that particular believer. But it is usually into another ministry and not out of fellowship. Now i am not talking about the mockery he parades as an online church. |

Universities built with money from Christian regions don't want to give Christians places of worship. Why don't we break the country into two or four and watch Northern Nigeria slide into Oblivion. Lalasticlala |
Where's your place of work located? Madonna and Igbinedion are a "No No" for me. One, they aren't reputable, two, they are yet to toughen up their undergraduate offerings not to talk of postgraduate. Lastly, i doubt they even get up to 20 postgraduate students to enroll per year. AUN is fantastic if you can live in Yola - they've got amazing facilities and faculty..... |
I would only recommend the following five schools ABUAD African University Of Science and Technology Babcock University Covenant University Lagos Business School Lalasticlala writerights codetemplar |

By Sewe Ishola, The ex-wife of Christ Embassy’s Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor Anita is in the news over a recent change in her name, which has sparked rumours of remarriage. After the highly publicized divorce proceedings between the two pastors, who have grown children, Pastor Anita began addressing herself as Anita Ebhodaghe and had used the name in a post, some months back. Alexander Okere, Benin The National Universities Commission has called on private universities in Nigeria to sustain efforts towards achieving the vision to become institutions with globally competitive standards for which they were established. The Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, made the call while delivering the 14th convocation lecture of the Benson Idahosa University, Benin City, Edo State. Rasheed described the establishment of private universities in Nigeria as a reflection of the need to close the gaps created by the challenges facing government-owned tertiary institutions across the country. He listed some of the problems to include access, resulting in the emergence of degree mills and satellite campuses; preponderance of social vices, instability of academic calendar, indiscipline of staff and infrastructural decay. The NUC executive secretary, who was represented by the commission’s Director of Accreditation, Dr. Noel Salihu, said, “In some cases, available facilities are not properly maintained and, therefore, left in a state of disrepair. “Though funds from the government may be insufficient to sustain adequate provision of facilities and infrastructure, some of the universities pay lip services to institutionalising maintenance culture in the system. The private universities are not expected to have similar challenges as some operating in the country have state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment, making them attractive for learning in contemporary times.” Rasheed disclosed that no fewer than 75 private universities had been established with Act No. 9 of 1993, which repealed the Private Universities (Abolition and Prohibition) Act of 1984 and allowed individuals, organisations, corporate bodies as well as local governments to establish and run private universities, upon meeting laid down guidelines and, subsequently, obtaining the approval of government. Speaking on the theme, ‘Higher Education in Nigeria: The Private Universities Perspective’, he noted that with the advantages they had over their government-owned counterparts, the future of university education in Nigeria belongs to private universities. He, however, advised the managers of such universities to shun acts capable of compromising the quality of programmes run by the institutions. Excellence in every facet of the operations of the private universities must be the watchword of the proprietors and the regulatory agencies. “It might be argued that the provision of university education is a different ball game from those of the primary and secondary levels as it is more capital intensive and the financial profit derivable is usually not immediate,” he added. https://punchng.com/future-of-higher-education-belongs-to-private-varsities-nuc/ |
I will speak softly because of my respect for the clerical office Osinbanjo holds. Quick question Mr President. How come China and Japan(two nations with low numbers of christians and churches) are with way lesser levels of corruption? If by your assumption, the more preachers preach against corruption results in lesser corruption, then Singapore, UAE, China, Japan should be extremely corrupt. Only an irresponsible govt blames the church for corruption. A corruption free society is a product of strong institutions, credible legal system, transparency and responsible governments. All these are within the purview of the federal govt. So pls condemn your oga in london for not doing what is right rather than tackling churches as a safe escape for you. Lalasticlala |

In 49 years since I was saved I have not missed Church on sunday up to 7 times. In our early days, Emmanuel, one of our members was absent for 3 weeks. When he resurfaced, I said ‘Emmanuel, you are gone’ he said ‘No sir’. I said again ‘Emmanuel, you are gone’. One of the pastors tried to intervene and give an excuse for him. I said ‘No, Emmanuel, I say you are gone’. Suddenly Emmanuel started crying, ‘yes sir, it’s true, I met some friends and even started drinking’. Just three weeks out of Church and he had gone astray. Praise God, Today he is a pastor in this Commission. Being in church is a must for anyone to secure his redemption. Whichsoever judge prevented this university from being returned to Oyo solely is the Architect behind LAUTECH's issues. |
I see. Covenant University or OAU must have reported them. Too many Covenant University foreign grants are predicated on her webometric ranking, therefore i see why they would be pissed at the Punch report naming ABUAD as number one private university. As a matter of rule, if you want to manipulate webometric ranking don't get yourslf into top 10 universities in Nigeria. Don't do It! Many of the federal universities there would report you.
