Gboliwe:those people in that end of Anambra are presently in Kogi state but belong to the southeast but the govt of Anambra can not help matters just like the ebonyi state govt. The problem was that the fed.govt never had direct interaction with people to know where they would love to belong before creating that state and many others. They simply did that out of political interests. Let's see now that the economy is getting tough if they will ask them to return back to their kinsmen. |
Wsdm:and if INEC said so, did you observed to see that happen. Except if u were not in Nigeria. Lagos alone, on the average never used electronic registration unlike what was experienced in the presidential. So don't try to justify biased journalism, propaganda and greed to win a state by force either because the have much wealth knowing fully well they are predominantly a PDP state. |
And so! Where there no manual accreditation in many poling units again? Even in Lagos where people think the election would have been free and fair with a complete electronic accreditation in all poling units, it was so disappointing that more that 60% of the accreditation was done manually. So they are simply wasting thier time. It baffles me why APC want to take Akwaibom, Rivers by all means even when they knew they lost thier. |
CaptainOjemba:I kind of disagree with you brother. The essence of these as I feel, is not to divide the igbos but to bring out that competitive spirit among the igbos, to make sure other states that are behind ensure that the dividends of democracy gets to the people. It will also bring to the knowledge of the governors that we are not kids to be deceived but we need the best out of every allocations or revenue been generated. And also, bring out that spirit of true activism in us rather than we assuming we are progressing. |
Now Baba have spoken what I want a true man of God to say. All those men claiming Gods own should test thier faith by going for evangelism in the north. |
olu4life:people that were in a haste to insult the Prof should not be blamed too. The Prof has made an annoying statement against the Igbos before if you could remember. So don't blame the igbos blame those foolish and unprofessional licensed media houses. |
Femolacaster:do you know Igbos are better that long one(oloogo)? Imagine when you want to sleep, the flats can sleep and look up but the long heads can't, always seeking for better position. |
Nice. This is a type of action I have expected these countries where our politicians, thier children and colleagues go for wasteful holidays to have taken. Its not enough to say they are helping us recover our stolen wealth, but they should make laws to prevent them from even coming to lodge the money in thier country. If these politicians should fortunately steal, it will even be better and understandable if the money is seen to have been reinvested here but our pain is that the stolen billions are taken where it will never be productive but wasteful thereby impoverishing Nigeria citizens the more. |

lol. Hollaaaaaaa!! Where is my food. Smile |
President Buhari must show appreciation to President Goodluck Jonathan for the electoral reforms and the freedom of information which made it possible for Buhari to emerge as the president today. He should commend him for not displaying any do or die tendency even after the election. The previous administration including Buhari/idiagbon never deem it fit to make all these possible. Again can buhari in a God fearing spirit be bold to tell Nigerians that the election was not rigged to favor him or where the APC never defaulted in the rules of the election that saw him as president especially the case of child voters in the north. The issue is that he has been declared a winner and the incumbent president has accepted defeat even when he knows otherwise but President Buhari should show Nigerians and the world that he is a changed man and is out to take this country to a more better position in the committee of Nations. I am waiting to see him prove his critics from different tribes, regions and religions wrong. |
In as much as I do not encourage any form of criminality, but permit me to say that, what goes around comes around. Some of these fuel station managers milk people whenever there is a little tussle on fuel importation and distribution. So it so unfortunate for him. Another thing is that, why can't these gas stations promote and encourage the use of POS. This is something their union could come together and demand among themselves since the amount of money they deal with daily is somehow much. They may use it for car or bus owners but may still allow those who buy in kegs to pay cash since they do not buy much. finally, youths and greediness. Must you do a party or celebration even when you don't have much money? |
Uneasy will lie the head that will wear the crown. Rome was not built in a day. The reality is getting clearer like the morning. But the difference between President Goodluck and President Buhari is that the later maybe more quick and decisive in handling situations and will tend to care less of those or groups that will be out for thier selfish interest. |
Oduduwaboy:I am not disputing the fact that President Goodluck never covered so many things, but the reason for him hiding them is what I can't explain either not to heat up the polity or to cover his weakness. But if you have listened to an interview on channels tv with an official of Borno state govt, my brother you will agree that the chibok girls issue was somehow planned. |
Amokwe:did u wake up from the wrong side of the bed? Why picking holes from nothing so spectacular. Did I fall from the sky and Where did u think I came from? Mr. Don't quote me of you have nothing to say. Mgbo obuna aru ona agbakasi unu. |
I wish him quick recovery. But PHCN workers do not pity the people who they are suffering with. They don't care when you complain to them, some of them are rude, some of their offices inflate the bills according to what I heard. This is a sector where corruption thrive to the maximum. I pray the young man recovers. |
This group if the do not belong to the same sect should enquire from thier cousins in sambisa forest how it has been since the fury of the Nigerian Army descended on them. They should allow peace to reign for goodness sake. I weep when I imagine the peace and tranquility of the beautiful plateau is been destroyed. The painful thing is that they will later cry of underdevelopment and neglect. Its high time our government including states and local have a functional record of those who are truly Nigerian in order to help ourselves and plan appropriately. |
If they will do, to God will be the glory. But for those law makers, some of them doesn't fear God. |
I do not expect less from those three party candidates who congratulated Dr. Ikpeazu. If Dr. Alex Otti thinks he won, he should seek justice from the court and I believe just like Peter Obi, he would get his mandate. My advice for Dr. Ikpeazu is that in order for him to calm the people and even Dr. Alex Otti, he should quickly begin the delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people of that state in terms of roads, security and infrastructure which a learned and exposed man like Dr. Alex Otti would have loved to do. Away from that, I think with the way the election has gone and how valuable our votes are now been regarded, politicians will never take the people for granted especially in Abia where the whole world knew T.A orji failed. Aba is a city where I could not spend pass two nights when I visited in 2013 because of bad roads network, refuse dumps, lack of power(no insult to the people of abia). But the truth is that ikpazu should never be like Orji in terms of governance except if he doesn't want to complete the first term. |
Jorussia:even if I will not be disputing the fact that you followed the trial but with the FOI so many hidden information were "unearthed". I know Festus Keyamo is an unrelenting lawyer but if the facts of Okah is tenable, Festus who in my opinion is sympathetic to the APC ( I guess he is a member) would have blown the issue especially during the election period. So I think, Okah maybe telling lies and may be playing a script issued to him just like someone rightly said. President Goodluck always allow so many sleeping dogs to lye and those dogs later arise to bark at him else so many revelation about the bombing and the Bokoharam issue would have been exposed. There are more to this which we cannot explain. |
kastonkastrol:was all those that were killed or kidnapped made public? I am an igbo, I lost a kinsman in this war, the wife and daughter was also kidnapped but fortunately escaped with others, did you heard about it? So not every information gets to us. The case of the school girls was special because it seemed like a planned deal. That is why I said that we need to have a functional citizens database. |
Jorussia:If you think you are mature, can you give me a link where Henry said categorically that GEJ was responsible for the bomb blast. And if he had done so, do you think the opposition APC wouldn't have blown it out of proportion? I simply disagree with you Mr. |
From what I heard and read, Sambisa is very big extending to about three states and greater than the southeast states. Whether the Chibok girls have been found or not we should thank God for those women and children that were rescued. They are also like the missing girls too. Our govt need to have a functional database for its citizens, why can't we at this age and time give a true figure of Nigeria citizens. I am sure Nigeria is not up to 150million, many are illegal immigrants. |
I am not surprise at this accusation. During the election, the president said Henry wanted to kill him and now Henry is saying the president was responsible. Why didn't Henry say so since he was detained? Again, the south African govt relationship with Nigeria in this administration have not been cordial, so anything can now be cooked since the president has lost the election. |
Both President Goodluck, some governors and the party members contributed to the lose of the President at the poll. For the president, he wanted a free and fair election, but yet what an average Nigeria expected of him was not delivered. Power! Apart from the fact that the election was rigged, an improvement on power would have made even blind men, old people, youths to come out in masse to vote for him. Is it his inability to bite corrupt people or his slow response to the crisis in the north unlike the improvement now among other things? His advisers as well never helped matters, how can the people in the street complained of lack of power and estimated bills yet someone in Abuja was advising Mr president that there was an improvement. No no. The state govt too did not help at all. in addition to thier failure to perform, some of them at the north simply betrayed the president and themselves. So, we are watching what approach the APC would take. |
Why won't they "Mine us dry" when our state governments, legislature and even Federal government pay less attention to them because of the black gold in the creek? I think Buhari have so much work to do. And until our state governments compel the federal govt to help them develop the resources in their domain, we will continue to cry of poverty, hunger and underdevelopment. Can you imagine a state like Osun with large gold deposits yet the govt cannot pay workers? |
sunsewa:smile. And for me, i really like those sets. |
Nice one man. Now you can attest to the fact that traveling is a form of education which can quickly kill ones ignorance. I love listening to honest Yorubas who willingly travel to other part of the country to live or associate with people there. Many times they sound different from those who think Lagos is the only place in Nigeria. |
No story!! #BuhariMustPerformMiracle |
ramdris:its too early to say GEJ ruined the country. I have been keenly reading and expecting people to say OBJ or ABACHA is better than GEJ but then none. lets wait for Buhari to please Nigerians with the available resources then we can compare him his achievements to the of GEJ. What an average Nigeria needs is power, clean drinking water, cheap food, affordable housing, and affordable quality education because these are useful to them almost every minute, every other things comes next. |
This story no sweet joor. It sounds "cooked up". How come u loaded the fridge and it still contained the two boys. Also, does the fridge have an automatic lock that they cannot push it opened? Mteeew! |
jayfolarin:I am from the SE. Some of the point you raised are correct but if you say the Ibo is unreasonably hateful to APC, I bet to disagree. From the history, the politics of the southwest has been tribal starting from the time of Awo where he wanted the all for his people even when Zik was preaching one Nigeria and thinking Nigeria first. That same game was what Tinubu started with and is still been played (it is not bad to think of your people first). APGA which is seen as the Ibo party is not been recognize here in the west or do they? For Ngige, what caused him his position is not because Anambarians hated him because he is an APC member but for the comment he made when Fashola deported the igbos was what has been hunting him since he contested the governorship till now. (rather than talk publicly in such manner he would appealed to the person and make Fashola understand his action was wrong). This same thing may be replicated to Okorocha, but Okorocha may scale because of the power of incumbency. So with some of these incidents, how did the APC intended to convince the Ibo that the party is for real? Again politics is a game of numbers, and every region voted where they think they would win. if I may ask, what about if GEJ had won, would you be expecting him to sideline the north for not voting him in masse or the west because he did not win in some of the states? So, the president elect should consider those from the SE who in thier little number still believe in him and voted for him but not because some of these irrelevant organizations are demanding this or that. Meanwhile its important to note that some southwesterners and northerners are in this region if he decides to marginalize the region. Another fact remains that Tinubu played the game better than Goodluck and no region or voter should be blamed. Goodluck mistakes accounted for his failure. 1. He failed to fix power which would have made even a blind man vote for him(every human makes use of power whether they are busy or not). 2. He failed to use the efcc very well when he knew Tinubu and some others are not saints, it was that same "corrupt" money that Tinubu used to help Buhari win. 3. GEJ bad advisers never helped him at all and felt he could please the north totally- we can see the betrayal. 4. Goodluck also attempted to please the southwest when it was already late forgetting that these region would have given him much vote which the north may not give (imagine Lagos alone with abt 20million people and he never thought about using the able voting population) 5. GEJ took so many things for granted. He was marooned to believe that the power of incumbency would save him 6. Another big mistake of GEJ is what Zik made. He tried to please all Nigerians. He believed everyone bought the idea of one Nigeria with all there heart(mind you am not saying he should be tribal but should have traded with caution). Nigeria is yet to get there and that will be when all regions do not feel cheated else the politics of hate, tribalism, region will still be played. Finally, How I loathe some of these groups claiming to be speaking for the Igbos. I think these groups and some of these people calling themselves eze ndibo of Lagos, Kano etc should be disregarded and disbanded. I haven't heard Oba of the Yoruba in Onitsha, owerri, enugu etc. Ohaneze Ndigbo should be strengthened and reorganized; they should have offices in every state to speak for the ibos when there are issues that concerns them. The igbos should give more regards to the office of the Obi especially the first class ones e.g Obi of Onitsha, Asaba etc. All these mushroom organization are rubbish! I love some of your points though. |
Sweetlemon:smile. My dear I want you to understand something. An igbo do not force anyone or tribe to be igbo. The ibos cannot make an ijaw, ikwerre, urhobo, isoko, ibibio to be an Ibo.its impossible. you are what you are. Okay. I think what they are trying to make the other tribe in the same or closer area see is that they can understand themselves better and build a stronger prosperous nation in a small unit compared to a bigger country like Nigeria. Okay. I don't think the igbos will start fighting against other tribe surrounding them to be together. No no no. Again, if this country eventually breaks, the Niger delta will be separated in tiny and I mean tiny bits compared to any region. Check out the number of tribes in the Niger Delta. Only bayelsa alone have many languages. But all these, we do not pray for. Let Nigeria remain together and build a prosperous Nation. |
