PoliticsRe: Police Reacts To Olu Falae's Ransom Claims by highmood(m): 4:18pm On Sep 30, 2015
TRUTHTOPOWER:
I understand the perspective of your response. However, we are no less guilty of injustice if we cannot judge each case on its own merit or demerit. I have had the privilege of meeting the IGP when he was a DIG. He is an efficient law officer. He went down to Akure in person, deployed state apparatus and combed the trail. eventually Chief Falae was released without direct engagement of police with the criminals. Note that the original ransom was 100m. Falaes reportedly paid 5m. something made them to hurriedly settle for less and escape.

Compare the above to Chibok girls whose abduction was ONLY ACKNOWLEDGED by govt after one 8 full days. If the same "show" of force had been deployed for the girls, we probably won't be talking about #bringBackOurGirls. Perhaps GEJ till 2019 wouldn't have met fatal resistance.

The police barked even if they couldn't bite. that with all other factors got the job done. wailers can continue to wail or cooperate to move us forward. Heck, you know why you do what you do
let's be factual and honest to ourselves; how many times have our police force successfully recued any abducted victim? God forbid that one of your family members was abducted and you have the money to set him/her free, would you wait for our policemen to come and recue him or her? How many days would you be patient enough to wait for the police force to come to the recue considering and especially the age of your loved one? I am not in support of any form criminality, but we all even "newly born" babies understands the nature of our police force. No one is ready to take chances. My kinsman have been kidnapped since two weeks in ogun state and the kidnappers are demanding for 100million ransom, would you say the loved ones should wait till God knows when for him to be rescued by the police? Olu Falae's case was public because he is a prominent figure in the society, what about many men and women who have been kidnapped and the police have only done little or nothing to rescue them?

TRUTHTOPOWER:
Not many Nigerians have the the privilege of high powered police security. For what it is worth I believe Falae family will do well to cooperate with the IGP instead of side talks.
Cooperate with Nigeria police? Do you consider thier dilly- dallying or thier corrupt nature? Mind you no one is ready to lose a loved one because they are waiting for our incompetent, lying police force to display thier "unprofessionalism" in rescuing thier loved ones. Also Nigeria criminals are not white men who may still have compassion, they are ready to heartlessly waste lives. I believe Olu Falae's family have done well to an extent. The police should now display thier professionalism by tracking down those criminals(not innocent people as they normally do) and bring them to thier "book".

If some of these journalists have listened to Femi Adesina spoke, they wouldn't at any instance seek for innocent heads to roll out of sentiments or hatred for the person in charge. The S.A to the president said that the said meetings which has caused public uproar or termed "failure of the UN ambassador or inefficiency of Buhari or un-seriousness of the govt" was not contained in the documents which includes the various meetings scheduled for the president to participate. To the OP, ppl should just be matured.
PoliticsRe: Bayelsa Elections: Sylva Kicks Against Fresh APC Primaries by highmood(m): 6:03am On Sep 28, 2015
Silva should be patient enough to be voted-out during the primaries. It will dawn on him that politics is really a dirty game; in quest of political fame and political powers, politicians care less of thier brothers not to talk of colleagues or friends.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria's 'brown Envelope' Journalists - Aljazeera by highmood(m): 7:31am On Sep 14, 2015
We know this for long Aljazeera. They are the whistle blowers of corruption when brown envelopes never get to them, yet they are among the greatest beneficiaries of the proceeds of corruption.
For me, many Nigerian journalists contributed to the decay we have in the country today.

I don't know why everyone is acting like there's no problem, OP there's a big problem and it's you, you are cheating while still planning to get married, you better just leave the young man you want to marry alone and sort yourself out, I wish he'd catch you, mschew.
nice. I am simply impressed that ladies are giving a candid advice. The underline truth again is that if she looses this, who knows when next the other will come. Maybe when she is middle 40.
For me, a bird in hand is worth a million in the sky. The devil u know too well miss o.p, is better than the angel u just met yesterday and mind you, Not all that glitters are gold. To the O.P, if you thinks you wants to give the other man a try, fine, but she shouldn't blame the devil.
I suspect the new guy may be a "wayo" guy or a tester grin. After he is done, he leaves the O.P in a very Cold regrets.

cococandy:
Cold feet before a wedding is normal as it is a big nay huge and permanent life decision. You wonder if this decision will be worth it.
So yes doubts are okay. But if you can't pinpoint any particular thing wrong with the guy, then you don't really have any problems. Nobody is ever 100percent sure until they start living day to day with the person.

As for the new guy, pls don't make any decisions because of him. I have zero trust for anyone who would go out with someone that's already in a committed relationship. If you leave your man for him, he won't trust you not to leave him for someone else.

RomanceRe: Please Advice; My Best Friend's Fiance Says He Loves Me by highmood(m): 7:35am On Sep 03, 2015
SUGARBEE:
Good morning guys.. I've been burdened with this so I decided share.

My best friend's been engaged to her fiance for over six months now and they intend on getting Married soon.

Now the thing is even before they were engaged and still dating, I and her fiance were very close friends to the extent of him coming to me whenever they had a fight for advice which I did give him with with no negative thoughts. .

Now just last week, he came to my place all drunk and wasted. I know him and I know he doesn't drink so I knew something bad happened. In his drunken state I tried asking him what the matter was but he wouldn't tell. Few minutes later he was dosing off on my couch and woke up an hour later as he was back to his senses. I served him food to eat since he was hungry and then asked him again what the matter was to have made him gotten himself drunk.

The next thing I knew was him going on his knees and telling me stuff like ; he made a mistake in dating my friend and it was me he really loved. That he had loved me from day one but didn't have the guts to tell me cuz of my friend and that he was fed up with my friend and now sincerely wants me to be his and be the only one in his life.

Guys am really confused as I don't know what to do now. . I sent him out of the house telling him I was gonna think about it but I know I shouldn't have told him that but sent him out rightly out.

Please I need your advice. . I don't want to hurt my friend's feelings neither do I want to hurt his own too. . Thanks..

Matured comments please..

Cc lalasticlala, ishilove
why would you in the first place allow or entertain you friend's guy in ur house without her knowledge. For me, my girl don't allow her friends get close to me talk more or entertaining(and I don't blame her). To show how much cunning girls are, her friend one day quickly kissed me before she could turn her back towards us.
again, I sensed you are having a crush for him. For the fact that you are with no man, the stories or imagination of how they stay together or make love may have incited ur feelings or desire to have him too.
Now, except you want to have issues with ur friend, except you want to have heartbreak as soon as that lust not love disappears, then don't attempt to give his request a thought. What he wants his your body and if he gets that, he would be okay. If u know u are also lust in him, then u guys should do it and depart or you can ignore him completely and get a man that would give you all the things you lust after in him. I mean, there are million people out there that can give you more than what he has. I wonder why most women love forbidden fruits which eventually poisons thier life and joy forever? undecided
CultureRe: The Giant Pythons Of Ihiala by highmood(m): 9:21am On Sep 01, 2015
In my place and even my local govt we do not kill Eke and it has not been said anytime that Eke bit anyone. But I have heard stories too that it hisses if it mistakenly bit anyone. I have slept in my aunty's room where a big Eke coiled beside a water container, but as I woke up, brothers and sister on Nairaland, Usain Bolts is still a learner. But i cant go close to any python in another man's land oh. But the story I seems to disagree with is the fact that a woman migrated to ihiala and turned into Eke. That is just a myth. And surprisingly I came in contact with someone from NEMBE LGA in Bayelsa who said they don't kill Pythons and if it is mistakenly killed, must be buried as stated by the man interviewed in the report.

op is on point ,cuz almost everybody who has seen computer knows sth or can operate ms apps
continue decieving yourself. I bet u, the content of MS Excel alone cannot be mastered fully in a year not to talk of other office applications and other computer applications. And mind u, not all so called computer literate can operate Ms. Office tools. Why all these certification things and no job is popping up is because of the nature of our economy. Notwithstanding all these, those that will secure a job will and those with both masters degree, computer certificates and other professional degrees who will still be seeking for jobs will never cease to exist. The fact is that be on the safer side by getting the certificates if u can, but if not be prayerful and prepare your CV. Then submit it. Grace one day, may speak for you.

Its truly unbecoming of Oshiomole. It seems the touch and cuddles he gets from his new wife have rotated his brain 134.5 degrees. If the president have said he would continue with the agricultural program of the past administration, I wonder what a governor who was fully in charge in his state during the agricultural transformation projects was busy doing?

Well Gov. Dickson, I believe you were aware how your own brother, the former president Goodluck Jonathan was referred to as Clueless by those that hate him for no reason, some learned people and many shameless politicians, but unfortunately, you never said anything concerning that. Many believe it was democracy"freedom to talk'. I believe we are still in democracy, those that are not satisfied with the President should call him the name that fits him. He should prove to the people he isn't.
for your re-election Mr Governor, I believe you should have put in place or completed so many projects as well as began many life enhancing programs that would convince the people to re-elect you because "jungle don mature oh". Anything fit happen at the polls.

Seems like Governors ve declared war on prostitutes and am wondering why?
first understand the reason why they are embarking on such demolition. We all know that brothels harbor criminals and some of those ladies aid those criminals to carry out their nefarious activities. In addition, they kinda of pollute the minds of young girls and boys just as a porn does. So, its a good work by the anambra state government. Anambra is not a perfect state that is free from all crimes and can never, but its a welcome development by the government to discourage these pretty ladies who have a better future but have been brainwashed to take the wrong path.

With this order from the presidency and many other monetary policies by the CBN, I foresee some banks merging in order to stay in business. Job cuts are also imminent!
Also, if the government is honest with this process of obtaining accountability, more revenue would be saved from leakeages and funds not used by the various MDAs.

That is why we remain where we are. "Non-performing loans!, yet many hardworking, creative and business minds are wasting out there. In short, the banks also contributed to our problems! Imagine the way banks and religious houses are been set up everywhere are the way real productive ventures are been set up and also imagine those loans were well utilized by the owners of some of those moribund companies or were giving to many creative minds, many won't be unemployed and the crime rate will be very low. God help Nigeria.

Those that fetch ant infested fire woods should always be ready for lizards, thier entourages and other things that comes with it. The issue of youth restiveness, religious intolerance, unemployment, security at our borders were taking for granted and today it has become directly and indirectly a thorn on every ones flesh. In as much as I commend our galant and honest policemen and women, the military, and all others fighting the war, I don't sympathize with those bad ones who ended up taking bribes and failing in thier duties. Thereby allowing these those miscreants carry their nefarious activities.

Even the BBOG group have gone to sleep since thier aim have been achieved. Nigeria will still have a long way to go if this tribal and ethnic sentiments still plays out.
