CareerRe: I Want To Sack My Employee I Was Crushing On. by highmood(m):
You took the wrong step first by asking her out- because she is your employee. For me, probably she looks sexy and you just want a taste of her. Again, the lady took the bold step by rejecting your request else you may be using and treating her shabbily-not giving her the respect that she deserves as a woman and your employee. Finally, I would advice you sack her else she may not give you any respect a boss deserve. Don't be scared that she may tell people about your advance (am sure she have), but act as though nothing happened and if rumors flies, find a way to cover them up.

SportsRe: Can You Use The Money You Won In Gambling To Pay Tithe In The Church? by highmood(m): 1:06am On Dec 14, 2015
One of my philosophy is " there is always a wrong way to make things right, but no right way to make things wrong". Take for instance, a graduate who could not find a job for long but decided to try his luck through sports bets. If he wins and decides to invest the money. Can we say it is wrong of him to pay tithe or sow seeds with the money in church?
Sport betting are like money gotten from different individuals who without been compelled decided to try thier luck. If any among those who tried thier luck wins, he gets his/ her exact share based on the rules and regulations of the betting company. Please, some one on this platform should please tell me the difference between lottery been done in some of our religious houses in the name of raising fund and at the end, some people wins some items and sports betting. Thank you.

Haba!
this is hypocrisy. I guess Seun may be among those bloggers that went to Abuja to protest the attempt passage of social media bill by the house. Why stop people from expressing thier feelings or right to live among other tribes. Just like what Soyinka said, open a thread that would sought the opinions of the southeasterners rather than trying to gag a message that has gone world over.

There is a twist. He is was covered to be taken to a mortuary or he was about to be laid to rest? The picture indicates that he was about to be laid to rest and if that is the case, was he not in the morgue before been brought out? He may have woken up, but the story that led to his woken up is kinda twisted.

Wow! First time to be the first. I was like, " what should I say grin " and the guy beneath me may not have washed his face as he woke up in an attempt to take this destined spot of mine grin .
To the matter, someone should swear with his/her life that President Buhari has agreed to relinquish power in 2019? One Bishop Chukwuma said, " Until an Ibo man becomes president, the civil war has not ended" . Honestly speaking, Ibo president would dense tension and give the people of the southeast a great sense of belonging to the project called Nigeria, but before then, those throwing the bait of Ibo President should remember the saying, Once bitten, twice shy. Igbos have gone beyond childish politics where baits were been use to attract the gullible.
Even if I remain indifferent to the struggle, I will continue to say that this administration should do the needful and instill that sense of belonging to the people of the southeast. IPOD, MASSOB, etc should also be civil in their protest and quest for self determination.
Will Biafra come to be or president Buhari pass the baton to a "true" Ibo man, only time will tell.

Biafran flags being flown in some houses doesn't translate to it being flown in every house. Don't generalize please.

The desire for whatever freedom they seek is only the figment of some peoples imagination.
Don't be sentimental and pained because some people seek freedom. Moreover, have you been to the east to seek the opinions of people living there? Have u been to market places where the easterners trade? Though some may not agree to the struggle completely for one reason or the other(like my dad because he partook in the war) while some people like me maybe indifferent to see what programs this administration have, but the fact remains that majority of the southeasterners wants Biafra. If the FG is not afraid of Biafra leaving Nigeria, then it should be more diplomatic and let there be a referendum and see the outcome. Some people like you may say, the south south will never go with them, its needful to note that the east don't solely depend on any region or administration to develop. And if I may ask, if the east goes, what will the south south wait to gain from Nigeria?
PoliticsRe: Biafra Agitation: Prof Wole Soyinka Calls For More Diplomacy by highmood(m): 10:50am On Dec 09, 2015
joseph1832:
Yes be that as it may, I still believe the idea of Biafra is just a means for some disgruntled south easterners to cause trouble. They should know not every easterners buy the idea of Biafra.

I'll even want to ask them why they didn't launch this ridiculous crusade during the past administration, how come they're launching it now? The guise of marginalization is just a ruse they want to use to stir trouble.
in as much as I am indifferent to the course and struggle for freedom, but I must tell you the agitation has been on since the regime of Goodluck Jonathan especially in Europe. And if you have traveled round the southeast years back, you will notice Biafran flags been flown in some houses; this shows that the desire for freedom is still alive within the people.
PoliticsRe: Arms Deal Scandal: Where Was Jonathan? -the Sun by highmood(m): 8:33am On Dec 08, 2015
With the revelations of our politicians and former cabinet members, I could see reasons why former president Goodluck Jonathan has to give up power for Buhari to take over; not because Buhari is the messiah, but maybe he is tired of some nasty dealings within and among some members of his cabinet. Also Buhari as I felt is not the messiah but maybe paving the way for the messiah to come. In paving the way, President Buhari should not underscore profitable policies by the last administration.
For my fellow ibos clamoring for Biafra, it shouldn't be for hate of the person in power but for true secession and true development for the people that would be part of the new born country. My fellow ibos should protest peacefully without any destruction of lives and properties so the world will sympathize and see reason to support them.

BusinessRe: Custom Officials, Soldiers Raid Lagos Rice Stores. History Repeating Itself? by highmood(m):
Why did the custom officials break into thier stores at night? I am sure smuggled bags of rice passes either through our borders or some other routes a little far from our borders which I believe our custom officials know about. Is thier action not equal if not a wicked one? Last year a bag of rice was sold for #8500 or less, but today, it is more than #11000. What agricultural policies has our president put in place in order to mitigate the ban? Why a sudden rise in the price of rice just less than 6 months after the exit of GEJ administration. Government is a continuum, but if brains like Akinwumi Adeshina, Bath Nnaji could display good knowledge in thier field, what stops the government from calling them to continue and make our country a better place? It's so pathetic. So many questions but no one to answer. I neither sell rice nor beans, but many people on the streets and business places are really worried, complaining, disappointed and worst still crying. Thank God for those who are for good governance irrespective of thier political affiliation and who speaks out when it is expected of them. It's high time we reject this syndrome of suffering yet smiling. Which way Nigeria?

Mr, you guys should sometimes be mute about the ownership of oil. Every statements shouldn't be all about oil. Every time oil! Nowadays, countries are looking for alternative means of generating revenue but you are here talking about our oil. And for the Biafra, whatsoever process that should be taking to ensure the existence of Biafra, should be done peacefully-no killings, no destruction of properties of whomsoever whether ibos, yorubas or Hausas because if it comes to existence, all ibos in other states cannot rush down to the newborn country immediately. We the Ibo youth should be careful with our comments, I notice some of us talk so much about some issue even when we know little.

How did Ebonyi generate more revenue than Anambra?
you have a clear vision. Even Enugu. Though Enugu can still be over looked, but for Ebonyi state, the statistics is simply error filled. The revenue for Lagos shows that states without oil but a thriving business environment, a well managed internal generated revenue mechanism and efficient and honest work force could surpass those with deposits of mineral resources in terms of revenue generation.

Joe Igbokwe's views is similar to my post on the heading "Akure-monarch-bans-eze-ndi-igbo- title in Akure-punch". Joe Igbokwe said it all but he should caution himself on the use of derogatory words. It's too much of him.
But the truth remains that, there is no need for Eze ndi igbo title. What are thier gains to the igbos? Are they making the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo organization useless?

You talk rubb**sh. Pls keep quiet if u have nothing to say.
Possibly u left igboland in 1975 and haven't been back since then.
The Sarkin Hausawa is the king or head of all hausa in southern states....The one at Onitsha lives at Bida Street, and have their meetings at Sokoto road where you have many tailor shops .
There are other sarkin hausawa in aba, nnewi, owerri and in the garki area of enugu.

I'm not quite sure where the heads of the yorubas live here ....but they have a HeAd....or Baale or whatever. so i won't guess.
Don't make general statements about what u aren't sure about.

If u tell me that the yorubas and hausas in igboland aren't allowed to have any posts.....i agree. Its something we should look at.
Buh don't tell me they don't have leaders here....they do, and they wear their regalia. But we don't bother about what they wear because it doesnt resemble ours.....we just look and pass.
thank you for your words but point of correction everyone has their point. The way we take our traditional titles and to an extent desecrate them in the name of seeking fame is so bad. what can the so called Eze ndi igbo do now that he has been embarrassed from the the Deji's palace and even on the pages of news paper or now that those shops where the igbos are trading are locked? Absolutely nothing. Its not because of envy from other tribe as some people claimed but its because of the quest for fames and relevance by some of our people that has resulted to the insult we are receiving. My point, Lets limit some of these titles to the southeast and let strong voices and polite political actions emerge from that region and lets see if the igbos will be "prized high" again. We are dividing ourselves with different eze ndi Igbos because when a faction fails to reason with the other, there is bound to be a misunderstanding and probably division.

I'm quite disappointed that a closest brother who suppose to share a common interest with us is going against us. We regard you Ibibios as brothers in our land and transact biz with all fairness but some of u guys like u see us as strangers in ur land and envy our progress. U must've eaten the forbidden fruit from Yoruba people.
my brother the guy you quoted is absolutely correct. We the igbos are now throwing our tradition to the dogs. Remember what happened in the last election where the Yoruba elders rather than talking with first class kings like Obi if Onitsha etc they were insulting the igbos because some selfish politician claiming Eze ndi igbo of Lagos hungrily paid them a visit. What is this. Igbos are respected but then if will do not value our tradition and hold it at high esteem, other tribes will one day spit whenever we make mention of our tradition.
PoliticsRe: Akure Monarch Bans Eze Ndi Igbo Title-the Punch by highmood(m): 8:00am On Oct 22, 2015
I think its high time the igbos review those traditional title especially Eze ndi igbo away from the southeast region and its environs. Many igbos who have not traveled home for long, who may not have really understood fully the traditions of igbos. Who may have been banned from their home town in igbo land for one wicked act or the other or who may, for thier selfish and political interests parade themselves as eze ndi igbo should be disallowed though politely. As an igbo man, I haven't heard of Oba of the Yorubas in Onitsha or Emir of the Hausas in Owerri. So why only the Igbos. We should hold our tradition to high esteem. Eze ndi igbos should be limited to the southeast regions. Moreover most towns from the igbo land have their Ezes in thier hometowns and thier union committee representing them in any part of the country they are. Igbos also have their mother union that could also represent them better so this eze ndi igbo in other part of the country is needless.

Is amaechi chances depend on pdp senators? What happens to apc senators who re in majority? What makes u think amaechi has no friends in pdp senators? Are pdp senators saints that cannot be manipulated? .
did u read my comment very well? I said most PDP senators may not want to approve Amechi as a minister, meaning some of them may favour him. Again I understand the fact that APC is the majority, but I am so sure not all loves him and it will be a test of how much the APC senators from the south and north really appreciate his "contribution ".
PoliticsRe: Ministerial List: Wike, Amaechi Take Battle To Senate - The Sun by highmood(m):
But come to think of it, I would have expected the president to have given Amechi a post which do not require the approval of the senate.
If the Senate fails to approve Amechi for a ministerial position, then the president have systematically pushed Amechi away from his cabinet since his inputs may no longer needed.
Even without Gov. Wike's objection to Amechi been a minister, I believe most PDP senators will never want to approve him. Then, it will be a test of how much in numbes APC senators from the north and south loves Amechi.
A responsible government needs not the services of a garrulous minister but a twice-thinking one.

I have no objection to any step individuals may take in their own interest. in fact self hep should be encouraged. what I objected to is uncharitable remarks or insinuation about the Nigeria Police in this particular case. When kidnapping becomes an "industry" in a society then the accusing fingers must point in the direction of our past. How did we get here?! If this were open for a town hall meetit many high profile victims will give useful testimonies on how we got it wrong and what needs to be done. it is a collective thing. Crime is generative!
sure crime is generative but our police force aren't showing passion nor dexterity to earn a good name for themselves unlike the military, navy and the air force. I am not saying the later are perfect, but our police force needs to be sanitized for high standards and performance. And until the government does that, our police force will never be trusted or relied upon for security and justice justice even if the latest weaponry and incentives are made available.
