namo77:The guy Maduka was too relaxed...Fine, the defenders didn't close down, but again, the ball wasn't far away from him, a top goalkeeper should push that away. Maybe they were just trying to be composed, but to me, the team lacked the bite and the desire to come back into the game. The defenders were still strolling with the ball in the dying minutes. |
At least now we don go factory reset...WC qualifiers against Ghana that some people are already seeing as walkover, as now become a mountain. All hands must be on deck, or else, there won't be WC for the SE. My personal take from this game... *Team got carried away *They got distracted by all those unnecessary visits *Nigeria needs a good creative midfielder *Iwobi is finished *The team needs a top goalkeeper...Maduka is not even close *Apart from that miss, Sadiq showed promises tonight. *Why was Ejuke, a ball dribbler and carrier, not brought on when everywhere seemed blocked...he can play through the middle too. *Eguavoen is not technically sound...you just pack strikers put field without retaining someone to feed them. *Lastly, Buhari should please stay away from anything that is going well in this country...it is one too many abeg |
Oshe!!! Iwobi the Super sub ![]() Buhari addresses the team and things go to sh*t what unpleasant coincidence But on a more serious note, no wants to go behind any North African team in the knockout stage of any tourney...their delay tactics is top notch...and they can frustrate the hell out of you ehn It takes the level headed and experienced team to crawl back...and with this lack of composure and creativity that the SE are starting to exhibit, I am afraid this match is over. In this case, I so much wish I am wrong |
The real test of Character begins |
just2endowed:Exactly |
Very cagey first half...these guys are double marking both Simon and Chukwueze...leaving gaps in the middle...I hope we can take advantage of that |
aribisala0:Someone who couldn't use Federal Might to save his own head, nah him wan use FM take over Lagos....Simply put, Goodluck lacked balls...but again, if OBJ could fail in that regard, biko who is GEJ? ![]() |
BERLIN, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Germany's new coalition government wants to attract 400,000 qualified workers from abroad each year to tackle both a demographic imbalance and labour shortages in key sectors that risk undermining the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. "The shortage of skilled workers has become so serious by now that it is dramatically slowing down our economy," Christian Duerr, parliamentary leader of the co-governing Free Democrats (FDP), told business magazine WirtschaftsWoche. "We can only get the problem of an ageing workforce under control with a modern immigration policy... We have to reach the mark of 400,000 skilled workers from abroad as quickly as possible," Duerr added. Chancellor Olaf Scholz's Social Democrats, Duerr's libertarian FDP and the environmentalist Greens agreed in their coalition deal on measures like a points system for specialists from countries outside the European Union and lifting the national minimum wage to 12 euros ($13.60) per hour to make working in Germany more attractive. The employer-friendly German Economic Institute estimates that the labour force will shrink by more than 300,000 people this year as there are more older workers retiring than younger ones entering the labour market. This gap is expected to widen to more than 650,000 in 2029, leaving an accumulated shortage of people of working age in 2030 of roughly 5 million. The number of Germans in employment grew to nearly 45 million last year despite the coronavirus pandemic. After decades of low birth rates and uneven migration, a shrinking labour force also poses a demographic time bomb for Germany's public pension system, in which fewer employees are burdened with the task of financing the pensions of a growing mass of retirees who are enjoying longer life expectancy. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/germany-wants-attract-400000-skilled-workers-abroad-each-year-2022-01-21/?utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+Trending+Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR1hGmx4QtMyV-xjPrkYKq19XPL8AbLGz39wIqejcPrpZonpcUB9ek7V8pA I know it's brain drain, but it is pure wickedness for one to tell our best brains who suffered through and came out tops from our various tough tertiary institutions, to keep working in a system that doesn't appreciate or reward their struggles and potentials. Hence, if you know your onions, start dusting your passports. Canada, USA and UK can't accommodate everyone. NB:You will have to learn Deutsch for better integration and significant career progress. |
Nigeria vs Tunisia If wishes were horses, Below is our predictions all da Way to the Finals. Second Round : Nigeria vs Tunisia (Nigeria Qualify to the Quater Final) Quarter Final : Nigeria vs Burkina Faso (Nigeria Qualify to the Semifl-Final) Semi Final : Nigeria vs Senegal (Nigeria Qualify to the Finals) Finals : Nigeria vs Cameroun (.....and Nigeria brings the TROPHY home to MotherlandA Nigeria all da Way to the Final. Up Super Eagles of Nigeria We haven't really watched them play for 90 minutes, But we think the home advantage may help them all the way to the Finals. You have a good point here too, Ivory Coast or Egypt may pull some surprises along the way.
You mean the same Ivory Coast they tore apart few months back in the World Cup qualifiers? The same drive, togetherness and desire that propels the SE of Nig, propels those guys too. What I have noticed at this AFCON is that, skills and big name, favourite tags failed a lot of teams, however, the teams that really wanted it more are the ones making good progress in the tourney so far. I see a Nigeria/Senegal vs Cameroon final. |
GreatrAnalyst:Exactly, while their Nigerian counterparts disappear from the streets once they win, and sworn into office |
Well, it is not just a Nigerian thing... you see politicians even in the US do same; visit bars, barber's shop, etc during electioneering campaigns. The only difference is that, while the US politicians are there to make a huge difference, write their names in gold, and improve the masses' standard of living... their counterparts in naija are there to further impoverish their people and increase the sizes of their own bank accounts. |
Landmack:Yeah, too much...she was indeed a strong woman |
Ahmed4002:Wahala ![]() My brother, I can differentiate both...I have done rapid tests close to 60 times... at the pharmacy I mentioned because of the QR code to show in intra City transit and work, and at home (as I have few Rapid test kits at home). Now so that you know, PCR is the one that the swap reaches the wall that connects the airways, that is, the throat region. So years I know them apart. You got me wrong, I mentioned I was there for roughly 30 minutes; 10 on the main queue, 20 on the new queue after we were made to book an appointment on the spot. Of course, I only got the results over an hour later. My brother, I know what I am saying. The fact that you paid for everyone you've done doesn't mean I paid for mine. ![]() |
And she drops the mic ![]() Looks like skit to me though. Any lady that would not accept my private proposal should maintain her lane. Must people disgrace their lineage online? For this country wey everyone dey use one another dey catch cruise, you go dey mistake your partner's vibes towards you for love. My brother, no be only you dey queue o. ![]() Make I bust your brain, it is still very possible for a babe who accepted your proposal inside your living room today, to turn you down in public the following day. E get why, different bobo for different purpose in her life. She nor go want make you cast am. ![]() |
frankmoney:You might be right, I guess once you mention you want to travel with it, you get charged. But PCR test is PCR test, whatever its purpose is doesn't matter. Travel within Europe...My first free PCR test was done for a journey spanning 4 countries within EU....the last two were within Germany. All free, but I never mentioned I was traveling with the results. But note: those journeys were via road and rail...things might be different at airports. I told a friend about it when he wanted to travel by air...dropped him a message to know if he was able to do it free... once he replies, I will let you know. |
Ahmed4002:Well, took the last of the two at Test center Plaza: Frankfurter Allee. It was on a Sunday, I didn't even book an appointment, just joined the long queue...those of us without an appointment were separated from the rest, and then given the a Web link to register and book an appointment. Under 20 mins, I was done. Although I didn't mention at the centre that I was travelling with it o...It was checked and scanned in the train, and no issue was raised. Same thing happened in Estonia too. When next you want to travel, just go for the PCR without mentioning you want to travel with it. I guess PCR test is PCR test, whatever the purpose is, doesn't matter at all. This is for those travelling within Europe only. |
RIP So she was 17 years old in this picture? Interesting Indeed, she has suffered alot, seen so many horrible things in her life time; losing her husband in that manner, singlehandedly raised five kids, and then losing 2 of them. I pray God grant her soul eternal peace.
|
Ahmed4002:I did PCR test twice without paying a dime bro. Lost my wallet at the time, tendered my International passport, and it was done. |
frankmoney:Although not for international travel, but for Regional travel...yes, twice. |
Kingpele:My brother, it is totally free here in Germany...there are designated places all over place where you present any valid ID. I did my tests at a pharmacy...prior to getting vaccinated, I got tested there daily for 44 days stretch without getting charged a penny. But you might be right to some extent, for international travels, most countries charge some money, but some don't |
Soso990240:My friend, you are the one who should understand things better before making comments about them...no one is talking about Sadiq here, Simon Moses is the topic of discussion bro. |
Hmm |
A little too early for comparison IMO...they are doing excellently well, but let's wait until they get to the final and qualify for the World Cup. And again, the NFF should cancel the yeye contract they signed with that Portuguese serial failure ASAP...whether Eguavoen wins or not, that Portuguese isn't the one to take this team to the next level. I know some thieves somewhere will he praying that Eguavoan fails, so as to justify why the Portuguese fraud have to take over the team after AFCON, but God pass them |
Reussite:Imagine o, the same player whose inclusion in the squad was frowned at by a lot of naija football fans, not knowing it was the Pharaoh in his life (Rohr) that held back his national team glory. Every man whose presence or very existence is keeping our glory from shining, may God touch his heart to leave voluntarily, and if he still remains adamant, make Baba God remove am forcefully. |
iamL:Yeah, you can say that again |
Playthepianos: ![]() No mind me jare....20 years after, it is still very fresh in my memory. |
Well, I've got loads of experiences when it comes to viewing centers, but the one with the bitter-sweet experience was in 2002, my OOU days....Chelsea vs one team like that, can't recall the other team. During the half time break, argument started with banters here and there, but with the once cool voices now getting louder and angrier, I jejely relocated to the bench by the exit knowing where it could lead. Few seconds later, we heard a very loud slap on a guy's face...and the receiver screamed..."yeee ladugbomi...oni se iru e mo!"...meaning "on my street...you won't dare do that again!" ...Obviously an indigene of the town. Lo and behold, the guy received the 2nd, louder than the first...he began to cry and stormed out crying like a baby. The light from the TV sets exposed the face of the slapper, he happened to be the guy who belonged, and obtained me steady, he was my nemesis during my early days in school. Few minutes into the 2nd half, d slappee stormed past me, climbing benches and stepping on people, before we knew what was happening, the slapper screamed, " my eyes, he has killed me o!". Pandemonium ensued; everyone scattered in different directions without knowing what happened exactly, but when we returned, we discovered the guy had planted a long rod into his slapper's eye with blood everywhere. Again, everyone ran in different directions into the night, obviously scared of being arrested by the police. It was so bad that they had to seal the eye socket for good. The slapper returned to school after some months with one eye plastered, he had become "one eyed Sunday"...and he never bothered me again. I felt bad for him, but then, if he hadn't lost that eye, only God knows what he would have done to me at the long run. |

Interesting ![]() Except I am hypnotised, no man of God (self called or called) will do that to me, except I didn't see it coming. When you think you have seen and heard it all...Beyond ridiculous!! |
BIZNess123:I have watched 3 videos where his hands were shaking...he looks frail...although, it might be age related ailment, and the fact still remains God is the giver of health, life and death...but after Buhari, can we gamble on BAT on health grounds right now. I for one us convinced he will do a good job, my on prob is his health...Running a country like Nigeria is very rigorous |
BIZNess123:He sure lacks the political structure, but Tinubu will throw everything into his candidature if he emerges, likewise majority of South Westerners. Bar Tinubu's age and health issues, he is the best man for the job, but considering how retrogressive the country has been under Buhari due to his inability to be firm in governance, largely due to his unstable health, age and lack of vigour, Tinubu is too much a risk to take at this point in our history. God forbid Tinubu wins and becomes too incapacitated to lead, governance falls on North's laps all over again. If BAT is battling health issues now, how can he cope with the rigours of running this crazy crazy country of ours? |
All I can say is that Kogi salary earners are in serious trouble...because trust me, this guy man is just gambling with their sweat, and they dare not say Jack sh*t. Although they say the ways of God is not that of man, and He only enthrone Kings, that Bello might actually be the choice of God...if so, then Nigerians must have really pissed off the Supreme maker, hence, His punishment, Yeye Bello. |
