i want to thank you immensely for your contributions. you understand the current system. the only thing is i don't see much of a positive difference by May 29th because saturday's election has not been conducted. if Yar'adua wins, it would make no difference to me. when a man's playing the game of chess, he controls every piece on the board. i was equally surprised that i couldn't watch AIT since sunday evening and my mind went straight to their work towards the governorship election. for now, i don't know and so, i will not say much. it's rather unfortunate that they have been the most taunted tv station in the past few years just because they're trying to be transparent and show to nigerians what really is amidst.

1st Bank is over 100years old and so there's no folding up of the bank. like it's name implies, it is the 1st amongst all banks in naija. being a 1st Bank shareholder wouldn't be a bad idea as your friend will reap his fortunes after many many years to come. so that is a good option.

buying a land on the other hand is equally good. 1st of all, the location of the land will be the major issue. getting a land in lagos for 300k might seem impossible. he should be looking at the rural areas (like Akute, Alakuko, Sango Ota in Ogun state). i haven't gotten this week's edition of Castles Weekly (a classifieds nigerian magazine). however, you can advise him to check www.castlesweekly.com or just pick up the magazine for N100 if he's around Lagos/Ibadan. my major fear for a person who will be getting a land in lagos and not building on it immediately is the omo nile issue. fencing the land round might be a positive move, but not protective.

whatever his decision is, please let us know so we can feel good that we helped.

my opinion; POINTLESS! lagos roads (not even 3rd mainland) are not wide enough for lane division. i'd only agree with it if ALL commercial vehicles are to use and maintain that lane, not just the BRT buses. it makes no sense.

since she's around the ibadan area, maybe the Godfather of Oyo state, Adedibu, is working in her fmaily's favour.

2+2 did the trick. i never really liked the 05/06 Corolla cos of the way it flooded the market. every company has it as its official car, yet another reason why i don't like it. i think i'd rather go with the Avensis if i were in stuck in that confusion circle.

my mum drives a '93 6 cylinder E300 and i can tell you i know its costs. whenever i use the car on certain weekends, i spend way past the amount i would have used if i were to go from place to place on an okada (excluding long distance journeys anyway). why i get scared of benzes is that virtually everything about it is worth stealing. from the side mirrors to the crown (benz logo) that stands right in front on the hood and trunk to the pads on the sides to almost everything any thief can lay his hands on will hit the market and you replacing it will cost you quite much. she got tired of replacing continously and right now, she's put the whole car on the market to replace it with a 98 honda accord (baby boy as they call it).

for the owambe part, i was referring to you taking the ML out only on weekends to parties, church, etc your next post might include "i'm not a christian".
