Debroslink: But he shines brightest when the ovation is loudest. I mean, point to any player, past or present who has provided assists in 3 different UCL final matches apart from Iniesta. How will you get to final with ZERO assists and ZERO goals? Only in Barca. Write me 3,000 word dissertation on how ZERO goals and ZERO assists can win anything for a club like Chelsea. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Ibime(m): 1:00pm On Dec 20, 2016 |
Debroslink: Mata was a passenger? You need to be flogged. If Mata who provided the assist was a passenger, then Lampard was a ball boy in that crucial match.
At 22, Iniesta came on to unlock Arsenal's solid defense to secure UCL win. At that age, Lampard was an unknown player in Europe playing for Westham.
At 31, Iniesta was providing assists in finals to secure another TREBLE for his club. My friend shutup. You don't know nothing about Chelsea. Mata was a passenger throughout the UCL run. Salomon Kalou had more contribution than him. All he did in the final was swing in a corner. Chelsea parked the bus all through, so unless Mata has been drinking protein shakes, you know he was the weakest link. |

Debroslink: You posted gifts in matches that NEVER brought Any trophies to Chelsea FC
Why not post the gift of Lampard's contributions against Bayern in UCL final, or against Atletico in UEFA super cup, or against Benfica in Europa final or even against those Brazilian bricklayers in Club World Cup final? So those two sweet assists vs Barca never brought trophies to Chelsea in 2012? Is it ZERO goals and ZERO assists in one calendar year that will bring trophies to Chelsea? You think any major club in Europe will stomach their key attacking midfielder going one full year with ZERO goals and ZERO assists? Thank God for MSN. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Ibime(m): 12:36pm On Dec 20, 2016 |
Debroslink: Lampard is one of the reasons Chelsea FC lost almost all their UEFA finals they played. The only UCL they won was the handiwork of Drogba and Mata. Lampard was a passenger all through.
Even washed up Torres had more impact in Chelsea's Europa triumph than Lampard. Lampard was a passenger too.
Some peeps here were mocking Ronaldo for scoring a hat-trick against Japanese farmers in Club world cup final, well Lampard stats against some Brazilian bricklayers shows ZERO impact.
Lampard contributed to Chelsea's loss in club world cup final against Brazilian bricklayers. Zero Contribution You don't know jackshyt. Mata was the passenger in that UCL final. UCL 2012, at 34 years old, Lampard was dragging his team to final with numerous assists and solid midfield defensive work. At 35 years old, he was still dragging his team to finals. At 30 years old, he was equalizing in UCL final. At 30 years old, Iniesta started going one full calendar year with ZERO goals and ZERO assists. At 35 years old, he will be playing in Qatar, never mind helping his team to finals. |

Considering Ballack only won the league once, the below just goes to show how influential he was over those 4 years inspite of that. It's just a shame Ororo was playing for Manure at the time.

bigkesh: Alonso is quite dangerous when he has time and space, something which our league doesn't give a lot of
85% of the times we have lost possession in our half when the opposition players press us is as a result of Cahill,Matic and Alonso's slow thinking and poor skill
Defensively....99% of the wingers here are explosive and that's explains why Alonso has been washed and rinsed by almost any winger he has faced.... Whether its skill or pace,he always seem to have no answer
He has a sweet left foot with a good accuracy.. That's all
I remember Alonso being a disaster in a 4 man defence against Leicester, Kennedy played that quite well against a team like PSG.....His defensive game isn't bad at all
Whether na defence or attack,Kennedy na upgrade We've only conceded 2 goals since Alonso entered the team, and we washed Leicester 3-0 playing a 3-4-3, not 4-4-2 so I'm not sure what game you were watching. The winger I have seen wash Alonso was Dusan Tadic, not even by pace but he was making him dance skelewu using some feints. That side of the team is set up so there are few one-on-ones. Either Matic or Cahill ensure that Alonso is never on his own, and when he is on his own, he shows them inside into traffic. Alonso is doing well abeg. He works very well in team situation to amplify his strengths. Reminds me of how Gary Neville and Beckham used to work together to be effective despite neither of them having any pace. Right now, Alonso is more involved in attacking moments than Moses. Not by pace, not by explosiveness but by intelligent runs and one-twos. I'm not saying we can't upgrade, however the dude is doing just fine. |

Bournemouth is the perfect game for Costa to be suspended because they don't park the bus so we'll get enough chances regardless.
As for Kante being suspended, I would play Chalobah. I might play 3-5-2 with Fabregas as AM, but regardless I would play Chalobah. |

lordfalcao: I tire ooo, they think he is wack and conte wouldn't have sent his ass to the bench.. Kennedy can't offer what Alonso is offering at the moment Kenedy can offer similar to Moses on the other side but in terms of intelligence, combination plays and delivery, Alonso is ahead of them. His drawback is lack of pace mostly, but he is doing well otherwise IMO. Every game, he is involved in key passes, chances or attempts on target. He reminds me of Graeme Le Saux in his slow-looking but methodical approach to creating chances. Either style of playing (Kenedy or Alonso) achieves results, but peeps should also watch the game with seasoned eyes. Alonso has his own way of making things happen without being explosive like Moses or Kenedy. |

nateevs: I see no reactions to the rumours linking us to Marco Verrati. Now I don't know where these tabloids sniff the stories of a possible bid from, but can you imagine a Kante-Verrati midfield in a 4-3-3?
We can dream, right? I hope this story can go from rumours to the truth. Not sure how this can happen or whether £40m will land Verrati (in this crazy world where Oscar is going for £52m) but mehn, if Conte can influence the transfer through Italian links, that's a journey down to next-level midfield.
I for one will give all the £52m from the Oscar fee to PSG. Gone are the days when you read these kinda rumours and believe it. Chelsea is not such a top draw anymore. Make we hustle for the guy sha, but I believe Barca is his next destination. |
