there are only two universities in Nigeria
UNILAG and others
You must have meant University of Nigeria (UNN) and others.

@Comechop,
The goal is not to judge anyone, especially those whose parents failed to impart this valuable knowledge, but rather dissuade the idea that our local language is uncool. So that we don't make the same mistake some of our parents made with our kids.

Dauda:
I'm loving this thread. Please re-dump her to validate the process like Idekeson suggested. Any dumping act must be clear, precise, direct, unequivocal and unambiguous.
Exactly! You don't want her to nullify the action due to a misrepresentation of your intentions. grin
you know what suprises me most about this thread? it is the fact that no one reacted or responded to welborn's posts replying biggjoe word for word. this confirms one thing. people want to hear only what sounds pleasing to their ears. Truly, the truth is bitter pill which most of you here don't want to swallow
The subject of the thread is "Please Catholics, Avoid These Arguments" and I'm heeding to it. I'll rather not engage my anointed fellows in frivolous arguments on Catholic practices, while such valuable time can be spent teaching non Christians the virtues of Christ.

You must re-dump her because the rule of dating states that such a serious action is not valid if it is carried out on April fool's day. grin
Christianity EtcRe: Please Catholics, Avoid These Arguments by Idekeson(m): 8:46pm On Apr 05, 2006
It amazes me how all these mushroom religious outfits should be more active in tainting the Catholic church, while the world is the middle of a religious war with Islamic fundamentalist. Left to Al Queda nobody will be able to argue wether the the blessed Virgin Mary should be adored or not. Born again Christians ought to go preach to the Shiites and Sunnis to become Christians instead of preaching to Catholics to become "perfect Christians".

You probably wont take your own advice if you were in her position. Not after been inside Air Force One.

Seun:
The female consensus on this threads seems to be that, if you're breaking up with your boyfriend, the only thing he will be missing is your sexy body and nothing more. Your sexy body is the best you have to offer. Sad.
Very sad indeed sad sad sad

I can understand that you're really hurting, but your plan may put you in deeper misery. I don't support getting back to him, since he suggested the break-up. 99% of the time, that is a sign of desperation and men will eat you up and discard you if they smell desperation. But if you must establish contact, try calling him over the phone, if possible, and tell him you called to find out how he is doing. Please don't pour out your emotions when you talk to him. Make him want you. If he does he'll come looking for you. If not, just count your loses and move on with your life. Remember what you're missing is not really him, but the way he makes you feel. You can discover that feeling in another guy if you give yourself a chance.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Most Memorable Goals Ever! by Idekeson(m): 7:04pm On Apr 03, 2006
In 1992, Okocha moved from Neunkirchen to German first division club Eintracht Frankfurt, signing as a professional the following season. Over the next four years, Okocha would hit the net 18 times, including one of the most spectacular goals in Bundesliga history. In the 87th minute of a game against Karlsruhe in 1993, he dribbled through the entire defence before beating goalkeeper Oliver Kahn to score what was subsequently voted Goal of the Year.
CareerRe: Nigerians Studying Abroad: Would You Go Back Home To Work? by Idekeson(m): 6:53pm On Apr 03, 2006
Most Nigerians are not living in diaspora to admire skyscrappers and street lights. There are compelling reasons and we'll know what they are. Once those factors change, you will see a reverse trend. It's simple economics. Life for every man is the pursuit of happiness.

‘Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgement you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck in your neighbour’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbour, “Let me take the speck out of your eye, while the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbour’s eye. (Mt. 7:1-5)

PoliticsRe: Will Nigeria Ever Have A Female President? by Idekeson(m): 2:18pm On Apr 02, 2006
BellaRouge:
If Nigerian presidents arent elected, then how do they get into office? It's a democracy, isnt it?
It's called the "selection" process. If you are selected by the god-fathers of the ruling party, you can be rest assured to be named the winner of the election. It doesn't matter your gender, education, experience etc. The only important factor is to assure them you'll carry out their bidding. To be sure of their pick, they now make the candidate swear to some shrine eg. Okija shrine. If turn out to be a bad choice, there is the impeachment card to take care of that.
Stuffing ballot boxes in Nigeria elections is so old news. It all comes down to the returning officers that are hand selected to make sure the final result is exactly as scripted by the god-fathers.
RomanceRe: Best Friend Wants To Date My Sister by Idekeson(m): 5:02am On Apr 02, 2006
Thank God I don't have younger sisters. I'll be very uncomfortable for any of my friends dating my sister after all we've gone through with girls. Guys often talk about girls amongst themselves but rarely talk about their friend's sisters. It's a guy thing.

If I must choose between the two, I'll choose my mum. I can't divorce my mother. No matter how painful, eventually you can replace a wife but never a mother.

Nigeria is the land of the impossible. You never know. It's not like Nigerian presidents are elected anyway.
