Some will say we should help ourselves? I ask: How many of us have tried running a business in this country? Can you run a business without engaging in corruption in Nigeria? Can you provide your own police in Nigeria as a Business man? Are we not aware that virtually every Nigerian now is a rogue (and our government is purely to be blames. People turn to rogue when they can get away with it owing to lack of appropriate policing; and also when there are no other way of survival)? Can you provide your own infrastructure (Road, rail, Power etc)

When we listen the Americans and British, we hear of government being the creator of opportunities. The truth is that, it is only government that can determine the global state of any economy. It is only government that can shape the country's banking. That our banking cannot support businesses is purely government's failure. I was a former banker and know what I am saying here. The lack of Credit facility in our land is the cause of an inept government. Credit creates money. If our Banks can be made to give more credit, the size of our economy will increase substantially. But this we do not have. Of course government cannot compel Banks to give out credit as you will shout back at me.

I put it to you that if our Credit agencies are working as it should be, banks will be more willing to give credit to willing and able businesses but as is normal here; the licences were given that people that knew nothing about it. I tried my hands on this (As a banker, Programmer that can tell all that is needed; We must structure ways of tracking our people without valid addresses as is obtained in West. But we foolish corrupt elites will never be innovative or original; they know only how to copy the West).

Also, if our laws can work, it will be easier for people to pull resources together and start of businesses. More jobs will be created. But our laws are non-existent. People cannot trust each other. When you do, you will surely be duped and the police and court will never help. What do you have; everybody shrinks to his own private funds; and opportunities became more limited. Who is to be blames for this? Is it not the executive which Ngozi has been part of that failed over the years? What about our import and export policies? are they not killing our local companies? Has Ngozi not been part of this for years? What has she done?


Ngozi was part of the cabal that gave away $18b to save the crippling European banks in the name of paying our debts; whereas we know Argentina refused paying their own debt let alone paying out once. Are we not away that what they called our debt was accumulated interest and UNJUST penalties?

The same Ngozi that celebrated paying our debt has dragged us back into borrowing? What is the logic here? Do you pay borrow and save at the same time? Is it logical saving your money in a bank at a lower interest rate only to borrow from same bank at a higher interest rate? Ngozi is saving up money in reserve (kept with Foreign bank - IMF chosen banks) and Sovereign Funds; while at same time borrowing to pay interest rates. Is this how to run an economy?


Nigerians will never get it until OUR REVOLUTION comes. Ngozi and her like are IMF-WORLD BANK-CIA-M16-MOSSAB agents. They are neo-colonial agents used to enslave us.

There are a thousand way we can turn around this economy. It is just that those on top are FOOLS. Go to Abuja and see for yourself. All your here is bring proposals. I have had several requests like this. I have tried and seen hell. How can you give a proposal to a need you know nothing about? Is the work of Ministers and commissioners not to identify problems (Needs) and seek proposals for solutions? But we have Executives that all run around looking for proposals to steal money, without identifying the needs of their ministry. I have friends that have made millions doing failed projects everywhere. You can make millions buying computers for the ministries if you are willing to "play ball". Is that how to run a nation? is that a way to create jobs and breed responsible citizens?

Ngozi as the De-factor leader (a position she presently shares with Dezani) cannot offer a way out. All she does is lying from both sides of her mouth with a grand support base from the West who has strong confidence in her as their stooge.

From what I know of our ruling elites; invent the best malaria drug and take it to Abuja for registration and your will be frustrated unless; your are HIGHLY CONNECTED or have enough money to bribe your way; or be able to share the proceeds of your investment with lazy corrupt "elites". I do not blame Nigerians for developing this mentality because it is corruption and the corner-cutting ethos, which crept up on Nigeria and bastardized our thinking, that produced a cadre of business folks with no dedication to the concept of producing quality goods. Corruption has ensured we don't have functional quality control in Nigeria. Nigerians have to then be their own 'quality controller'.

As such, many Nigerians would rather not patronise things made in Nigeria when trusted foreign brands are plentifully and competitively available. Most Nigerians would probably take a used Toshiba laptop ahead of a brand new Zinox offering. It is a shame Zinox and other innovative Nigerian businesses may just be unfortunate victims of this "foreign is better" mentality. It is what it is sadly.

Gbawe: There is nothing wrong with that. Even in the West, many brand name wholesalers still merely only 'badge' item that are at the lower end of their line and not near flagship model. I.e they buy decent quality generic items ,capable of meeting or surpassing quality standards, where it is relatively cheaply produced and put their brand name on this finished item that, in the strict sense, they did not "manufacture". At best they will get the foreign supplier to 'tweak' the item to meet a specific purpose even as chassis is essentially the same. In the UK, for example, many netbooks , from different brands, look the same because they are the same but only badged seperately.

As I keep telling some of the pan-Africanists on this forum, we need to wind down on the redundant thinking that manufacturing is the panacea to the problems of Africa. We should simply embrace the concept of using comparative advantages. Because we have fallen behind terribly, in every facet, Zinox does the pragmatically correct thing by accepting that we must make use of what others have a cost, material and technical advantage of producing rather that dubiously and wastefully attempting to reinvent the wheel because of ego alone.

It was in the past that manufacturing was deemed especially important worldwide. Not so today and for how things are in reality. It is about competitive advantage for many Nations now in a globalised world, with shrinking borders, where logistics is no longer the challenge it was. As Africans we should be up to speed keying into this concept, like Zinox, or fall behind again and as usual.

Manufacturing is essential to economies. Did you know at one point America made 60 percent of world products? Look where they are now. We are poor because we are consumers and don't produce. Take a look at your home and tell me who made the products inside? What construction materials made the house? Where were the construction materials from? I bet the resources came from Africa from a foreign controlled mine. We are economically colonized to this day. There are people outside and inside Africa ho want to keep it this way. Those people benefit from it. Entire countries benefit from Africa's underdevelopment. Countries like USA and uk rely on africa to be poor or they wouldn't be rich.

The invasion of the Democratic Republic of Congo by U.S. allies Rwanda and Uganda, in 1996, set in motion a genocide that left six million Congolese dead. Another wave of mass killings now looms with this month’s capture of Goma, an eastern Congolese city of one million, by “rebels” under Rwandan and Ugandan control. “People need to be clear who we are fighting in the Congo,” said Kambale Musavuli, of Friends of Congo. “We are fighting western powers, the United States and the United Kingdom, who are arming, training and equipping the Rwandan and Ugandan militaries.” The main player in suppressing information on Congo’s neighbors’ role in the ongoing genocide, is U.S. ambassador to the UN Susan Rice.
Rice has fought a two-front battle to protect Washington’s murderous clients, delaying publication of a UN Group of Experts report on Washington’s clients’ depredations in Congo, and at the same time subverting efforts within the State Department to rein in Uganda and Rwanda. Last week, Rice blocked the UN Security Council from explicitly demanding that Rwanda immediately cease providing support to M23 rebels who vowed to march all the way to Kinshasa, the Congolese capital.
Susan Rice has abetted the Congo genocide for much of her political career. Appointed to President Bill Clinton’s National Security Council in 1993, at age 28, she rose to assistant secretary of state for African affairs in 1997 as Rwanda and Uganda were swarming across the eastern Congo, seizing control of mineral resources amid a sea of blood. She is known to be personally close to Rwanda’s minority Tutsi leadership, including President Paul Kagame, a ruthless soldier trained at the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and mentored by Ugandan strongman (and Reagan administration favorite) Yoweri Museveni, who is believed to have pioneered the use of child soldiers in modern African conflicts.

On the outside during the Bush years, Rice became a fierce advocate of “humanitarian” military intervention in Africa, urging air and sea attacks on Sudan and championing the U.S.-backed Ethiopian invasion of Somalia, in 2006. A senior foreign policy advisor on Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign team, Rice made it no secret she hoped to be named secretary of state. As UN ambassador, she is the administration’s top gun on Africa, the focus of her outsized aggressions. Rice is widely credited with convincing Obama to launch NATO’s bombing campaign for regime change in Libya. She parroted false media reports that Muammar Gaddafi’s troops were raping Libyan women with the aid of massive gulps of Viagra, refusing to back down even when U.S. military and intelligence officials told NBC news “there is no evidence that Libyan military forces have been given Viagra and engaging in systematic rape against women in rebel areas.” Yet, Rice said not a word about ethnic cleansing and racial pogroms against black Libyans and sub-Saharan African migrant workers, including the well-documented erasure of the black city of Tawergha.
Susan Rice’s “humanitarian” instincts, like her boss’s, are highly selective – so much so, that a genocide equal to or greater than the Nazi’s liquidation of European Jewry is invisible to her. More accurately, Rice labors mightily to render the genocide in Congo invisible to the world, suppressing release or discussion of reports on Rwanda and Uganda’s crimes.

The first document, a “Mapping Report,” described human rights violations in the Democratic Republic of Congo from 1993 through 2003. Finally published by the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in October of 2010, after long delays, the document specifically charges Rwandan troops with engaging in mass killings “that might be classified as crimes of genocide.” The more recent report by a UN Group of Experts concludes that M23, the Congolese “rebel” group that captured Goma, is actually “a Rwandan creation,” embedded with Rwandan soldiers that take their orders from Paul Kagame’s military. Uganda also supports M23.
Susan Rice, as an energetic protector and facilitator of genocide, should be imprisoned for life (given that the death penalty is no longer internationally sanctioned). But of course, the same applies to her superiors, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. One would think that the Congressional Black Caucus would be concerned with the threat of a second wave of mass killings in Congo. Not so. A Google search fails to reveal a word of complaint from the Black lawmakers about genocide in Congo or suppression of documentation of genocide – or much of anything at all about Africa since the death of New Jersey Rep. Donald Payne, ranking member of the House Subcommittee on African Affairs, in March of this year.

Instead, incoming Congressional Black Caucus chair Marcia Fudge, of Cleveland, held a press conference with female Caucus members to defend Rice, “a person who has served this country with distinction,” from Republican criticism of her handling of the killing of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya. “We will not allow a brilliant public servant’s record to be mugged to cut off her consideration to be secretary of state,” said Fudge.
In the Congressional Black Caucus’ estimation, Rice’s “record” as chief warmonger in Africa and principal suppressor of the facts on genocide in Congo makes her a role model for African Americans, especially young Black women.
Her relationship to the women of Congo is more problematic. Said Kambale Musavuli, of Friends of Congo, which works tireless on behalf of victims of mass rape in eastern Congo: “Why should you want to help a Congolese woman who is raped, when your tax money is supporting the ones that are doing the raping? That’s a contradiction”
In the Age of Obama, the Black American relationship to Africa is suffocating from such contradictions.

Europe and America are on the brink of collapse. I predict that countries will be bombed for resources in the next 5 years. Mali will be bombed within 6 months. You also have to understand that foreign powers fund genocides all over Africa. Look out for Sudan to be bombed as well.

Using AFRICOM, America will train militarizes to do proxy wars all over Africa. I just hope Africans are ready to unite and fight against the imperialism. It will be like old fashioned 19th century imperialism.

History will repeat itself, when America and Europe have gone down the hill, they tend to fight wars to take resources to build their economies. Just a warning.
