Igbere TV has obtained photos of Senator Dino Melaye which were taken today Monday January 7.

The pictures show ‘sick’ Senator Dino Melaye in hospital bed. Melaye was taken to hospital after he ‘slumped’ during his arrest after eight day siege. But some Nigerians say he is pretending.


On Monday, he said he cannot go to court because he is not well.

T. Orji, Ikpeazu, Ohuabunwa Shameless Liars, Debtors; Build Roads, Pay Salaries Only On Radio — Kalu

Former Governor of Abia State and APC Candidate for Abia North Senatorial District in the 2019 general election, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has described the incumbent governor of the state, Gov. Ikpeazu, as a debtor and shameless liar.

Dr. Kalu stated this on Sunday (today) while addressing members of Acha community in continuation of his campaign as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 polls.

Acha is a community in Isukwuato Local Government Area of Abia State.
The Abia North Senator hopeful equally described a former governor of the state and senator representating Abia Central in the Senate, T. Orji, and Senator representating Abia North, Mao Ohuabunwa, as “Oji-Ugwo” (debtors) and “Oho-ha” (liars).

He wondered why the duo cannot attract meaningful development to the community they represent, and called on the people of the state to vote APC candidates for “all-round development.”

He chided governor Ikpeazu for deceiving the people and owing salaries, adding that “his (Ikpeazu) works can only be heard on radio but cannot be said to exist.”
He said, “During my time as the governor of this state (Abia), I ensured that workers were paid salaries as at 20th of each month. Today, workers are owed salaries, even my pension as a former governor were withheld.

“They told us on radio that they are working, whereas nothing is happening in reality.

“Look at Abia State University today, parents cannot afford the tuition fees. They (the present govt) keep increasing the tuition fees but cannot point to one meaningful development in that school. Lecturers are being owed, workers are being laid off. In my time, I paid 13th month salary as a governor, but that cannot be said of the present administration.

“This is why we must vote President Muhammadu Buhari as President, our brother and son, Uche Ogah as governor, vote me as Senator, as well as every other APC candidates for us to enjoy meaningful developments in the state.”

In response, the people of the community thanked the former Governor and Senator hopeful, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, for flying the Abia North APC ticket, and promised to vote massively and elect him as their next Senator come February 16.

The campaign train left Acha community for Uturu, Ovim and other communities in Abia North senatorial district of the state in continuation of his (Dr. Kalu’s) campaign.

Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central has reacted after Senator Dino Melaye surrendered to the Nigeria Police

Igbere TV reported that Senator Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial district, on Friday finally surrendered to the police after eight-day siege on his Abuja residence.

Speaking on the development, Sani took to his Twitter page, urging the police to treat Melaye with dignity while in custody.

The Kaduna lawmaker urged the Police to respect fundamental human rights of Melaye.
Sani wrote: “Distinguished Senator Dino should be treated with dignity and honour and his fundamental rights respected, now that he has reportedly turned himself up to the Police.”

BREAKING!!! Special Squad From Abuja Storms A'Ibom, Arrest Assembly Clerk, Cashier Over Sacked APC Lawmakers


Following the sack of some All Progressives Congress lawmakers, clerk of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mrs Mandu Umoren, together with the assembly's cashier, Mr Monday Akpan, have been unlawful arrested by the Police on Friday.

Igbere TV gathered that their arrest was because of what they tagged "unpaid working imprest " of five former lawmakers whose seats were declared vacant by the House in November.

Igbere TV also gathered that Umoren and Akpan were invited to the state police headquarters in Uyo to explain issues and make statements surrounding the said payment, but were detained afterwards and up till 5.30 pm they were yet to be released.

The five sacked lawmakers namely Idongesit Ituen, Nse Ntuen, Gabriel Tobi, Victor Udofia, and Otobong were said to have written a petitioned to the police insisting on the forceful payment of their imprest for the month of December.

Police Public Relations officer, DSP Odiko Macdon, could not be reached as of the time of filing this report. But Macdon, who confirmed custody of the two Assembly officials to Uyo based Inspiration Fm, moments ago, said they were under investigation and that there were not under arrest.

Sources at the police headquarters told Igbere TV that a special police squad had landed the Victor Attah International Airport this afternoon on a special mission to ensure the illegal payment of the working imprest to the five former lawmakers.

Speaker of the House, Onofiok Luke, had cited infringement of Section 109 (1) g (2) by the former lawmakers, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), before he declared their seats vacant.

2019 Will Be ”Complicated But…. ”- Donald Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump has predicted that year 2019 would be a “complicated but great” year.

Trump, who stated this in his New Year message, also reeled out his administration’s achievements, which he said had surpassed all others in the U.S. history in the first two years.

“I just want to wish you a very very happy New Year. It’s going to be a great year, complicated but great. People make it overly complicated actually.

“But I will tell you, there has never been an administration, and I’m very proud of this, that’s done more than Trump administration in the first two years of office.

“Our economy is doing great. Wages are rising for the first time in many many years.

“People are getting more money, they’re working one job instead of two or three.

“Also, we’re working on new trade deal. We made a trade deal with Mexico, we made a deal with Canada, we made that deal with South Korea.

“Everybody said that couldn’t happen. We terminated the horrible one-sided Iran nuclear deal.


“Then you look at North Korea, we’re doing really well. Rockets aren’t being fired, missiles aren’t being fired, we’re in no rush.”

Trump also said one of his administration’s achievements was moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in Israel adding that “I promised it and I did it”.

He, however, regretted that in spite of the fact that the U.S. was doing so well as a country, there was the need for it to build walls to secure its borders.

Trump said: “You don’t have borders, you don’t have a country. We don’t want drug traffickers or human traffickers or illegal people with criminal records to come in.

“Our border patrol, our ICE (Immigration and Customs Endorsement) agents, our military, we’ve done great.

“But you can never do it perfectly unless you have a wall. So we have to have a wall as part of border security and we are working on it.”

The U.S. President also hinted on his preparedness to continue so as to complete eight years as a president.

He said: “We had a great two years, I’m working hard for you, I’m fighting for you, we’re going to win, we’re going to win all the way, we’re going to win in everything we do.

“So happy New Year and let’s enjoy the next year and then we’re going to enjoy the following year and then we have four more and everything is going to be so beautiful,” he said.

Former Governor's Brother Hospitalized with Machete Cuts

A senior special assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel, Mr Amanam Nkanga, this evening escaped death by the whiskers when he was brutally assaulted and attacked with dangerous weapons by a caucus member of the APC, Hon Emah Bassey at his own hometown Ikot Nya in Nsit Ibom local government area.

Igbere TV gathered that Mr Nkanga younger brother of former Governor Idongesit Nkanga, according to eye witness accounts,  had accompanied the divisional police officer, DPO of the area, Mr John Umoh, to an APC gathering which blocked the only express highway linking Ikot Nya with Etinan, that had prevented road users from movement out of the area.

On their arrival,  Emah Bassey, a former two term member of the House of Representatives who had stormed the venue with a truckload of supporters swooped on him and personally allegedly brought out his long knife to severe the head of the Governor's aide.

Mr. Nkanga was said to have experienced a horrific treatment as dozens of weapons were physically unleashed on him by the suspected thugs, getting him subsequently hospitalized.

When our reporters visited him at the hospital, Amanam who was weakened by apparent loss of huge blood, explained that the former lawmaker simply jumped at him asking him, "why are you here," before inflicting the blows on him, and knocking him out of consciousness.
Two other victims of the attack were seen at the hospital emergency surgical theatre, with deep cuts on their hands and faces.

One of the victims who gave his name as Edidiong, lost part of his teeth and had a gash on his jaw.

Some indigenes of the community rebuked Mr Emah Bassey whose village, Afaha Offiong is the headquarters of Nsit Ibom, for deliberately breeding trouble in the area.
They alleged that he deliberately brought his meeting to block the road in Ikot Nya, as a way of spiting his former political father, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, whose younger brother Amanam he almost succeeded in exterminating.
The violence earlier promised by the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom state has further been reinforced with the open attack, they said, calling in the state police commissioner to bring the culprits to book.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has continued his claim that the man presiding the helm of affair in Nigeria is not the President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kanu vowed to petition US President Donald Trump over the role his ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, played in sending an impostor to the White House as “dead” President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kanu, who made the vow yesterday in a special worldwide broadcast from Israel monitored by Igbere TV, accused Ambassador Symington of complicity in the “international fraud” allegedly perpetuated by the cabal in Aso Rock to replace President Buhari by a stage play actor from Sudan, Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani.

Buhari was in the US earlier in the year for bilateral talks on Trump’s invitation. That meeting ended with the US President reportedly saying he never wanted to meet someone as lifeless again.
Speaking, the IPOB leader said the motive behind the petition was to prove the seriousness of his caveat that an impostor is superintending the affairs of Nigeria and holding international engagements on behalf of President Buhari

He said: “US President Donald Trump never met with President Muhammadu Buhari.

“The claim I shall be making official tomorrow (Sunday) to the US Ambassador to Nigeria is this: ‘That you are complicit in the sending of an impostor to President Trump. The man you sent to Trump is Jubril Aminu from Sudan and not the “dead” President Muhammadu Buhari’
“Trump must hear about this before the coming week runs out. Now they will know how serious we are.”
