Woman jailed for testicle attack A woman who ripped off her ex-boyfriend's testicle with her bare hands has been sent to prison. Amanda Monti, 24, flew into a rage when Geoffrey Jones, 37, rejected her advances at the end of a house party, Liverpool Crown Court heard.
She pulled off his left testicle and tried to swallow it, before spitting it out.
A friend handed it back to Mr Jones saying: "That's yours."
Monti admitted wounding and was jailed for two-and-a-half years.
'Pulled hard'
Sentencing Monti, Judge Charles James said it was "a very serious injury" and that Monti was not acting in self-defence.
The court heard that Mr Jones had ended his long-term but "open relationship" with Monti towards the end of May last year.
The pair remained on good terms and on 30 May she picked him up from a party in Crosby and went back for drinks with friends at Mr Jones's house.
An argument ensued and Mr Jones said there was a struggle between them.
In his statement, Mr Jones said she grabbed his focal places and "pulled hard".
“ I am in no way a violent person ” Amanda Monti He added: "That caused my underpants to come off and I found I was completely unclothed and in excruciating pain."
The court heard that a friend saw Monti put Mr Jones's testicle into her mouth and try to swallow it.
She choked and spat it back into her hand before the friend grabbed it and gave it back to Mr Jones. Doctors were unable to re-attach the organ.
In a letter to the court, Monti said she was sorry for what she had done.
She said: "It was never my intention to cause harm to Geoff and the fact that I have caused him injury will live with me forever. I am in no way a violent person."
The letter added: "I have challenged myself to explain what has happened but still I just cannot remember. This has caused much anguish to me and will do for the rest of my life."

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › At Last ,the End Of The Rafa Nightmare ! by illusion2(op): 8:08am On Jun 03, 2010 |
Could this really be the end of this nightmare Liverpool offer Benitez exit deal Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has been offered a £3m severance deal to leave immediately, BBC Sport understands.
Benitez led the Anfield club to Champions League glory in 2005 but guided the Reds to only seventh place in the Premier League last season.
The 50-year-old has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, with the Italian giants looking for a coach following Jose Mourinho's move to Real Madrid.
Benitez's agent has said he will speak with the Spaniard on Thursday.
BBC Sports News correspondent Dan Roan said: "Members of Liverpool's board were locked in meetings as late as 2330 BST on Wednesday night.
"Benitez is currently on holiday but if he decides to accept their offer he could be out by the weekend."
The manager's agent Manuel Garcia Quilon said: "We don't know anything more than what's being said.
"We're not saying anything."
AJ_2094 Liverpool declined to comment on the rumours on Wednesday.
It has been reported that it would cost the club about £16m to pay off Benitez, who joined Liverpool in June 2004. But they are currently pursuing a compromise compensation package worth £3m.
As well as the Champions League triumph, Benitez also steered Liverpool to the European Super Cup in 2005 and the FA Cup in 2006.
They enjoyed an impressive Premier League campaign in 2008-09, finishing as runners-up, four points behind champions Manchester United, having lost only two games all season.
But they were hugely inconsistent last season, losing 11 times in the league and exiting the Champions League in the group stages. They dropped into the Europa League and reached the semi-finals where they lost to Atletico Madrid.
Several of Benitez's first-team squad have recently been linked with summer moves, including captain Steven Gerrard, Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano and star forward Fernando Torres.
Benitez had suggested he would require in excess of £50m to put the club back in contention for the Champions League places, never mind the Premier League title.
Co-owner Tom Hicks recently said Benitez would have a "substantial" transfer budget this summer despite he and fellow owner George Gillett trying to sell the club, a process which could take 18 months.
It has since been reported that the funds available to Benitez could be as little as £5m, before selling players.
Liverpool were put up for sale in April, with an asking price of between £600m and £800m, and Hicks had claimed there is a large number of "interested buyers".
Parent company Kop Holdings were £351m in the red last summer with annual loan repayments of £40m.
Speaking last week, Benitez told the Liverpool Echo: "I am very happy here in Liverpool. I have always been happy and I want to stay here for a long time - if it is possible."

World Cup 2010 team guide: Nigeria
OVERVIEW World Cup guide: Nigeria
World Cup guide - Nigeria
Nigeria left it late to qualify for the World Cup - an 81st-minute winner against Kenya in the final qualifier seeing them through - and their preparations for South Africa have been similarly last minute. The decision to sack coach Shaibu Amodu following their third-place finish at the Africa Cup of Nations meant his replacement, Swede Lars Lagerback, effectively has just three weeks with his squad before the tournament. The Nigerian Football Federation has been fined by Fifa after changing their World Cup base late in the day, and there has also been confusion over the venues for their warm-up matches.
And while problems before the 1994 and 1998 World Cups did not prevent them from impressing in those tournaments, this squad does not contain the likes of Jay-Jay Okocha, Daniel Amokachi and Sunday Oliseh. John Mikel Obi is their only stand-out player, and he is recovering from a knee injury, while a squad that boasts plenty of pacey forwards also lacks quality midfielders.
Aim: The Nigerian Football Federation is targeting a semi-final place. That looks unlikely, but the side will be under pressure to reach the last 16 given the tournament is in Africa.
THREE KEY PLAYERS Peter Odemwingie
PETER ODEMWINGIE A pacey right winger who can also play up front, Odemwingie was born in Uzbekistan to a Nigerian father and Russian mother and was rated by some observers as Nigeria's best player during the qualifying campaign. John Obi Mikel
JOHN MIKEL OBI Nigeria's star player was named in the squad despite doubts over his fitness because of a knee injury. Usually a holding midfielder for Chelsea, he often plays further forward for Nigeria. Vincent Enyeama

IMO,zoning isn't an entirely bad idea due to the immature/unsophisticated nature of the electorate in Nigeria.
But the problem here is that zoning makes a mess of common sense & as earlier stated is unconstitutional.
I strongly believe rotational presidency should be put into the Nigerian constitution. |

if Rafa'll remain,he shouldn't sell Masch ,unless we'll have the Xabi saga all over again. he has bee able to hold his own in the defensive middle field position. We did poorly this season largely due to lack of fire power up front with an inept Ngog playing main man in most games whe El Tor wasn't fit. With someone like Hugo Rodallega (2nd rate striker by EPL standard) we could have clinched the final UCL position without too much hassle. So Masch stays IMO ! |
