your tone of defence has landed you squarely in the palms of yerima.

if it is not against nigerian law to bang your own daughter in law, then yerima is also telling you its not against islamic law to marry an underage girl.

seriously though we all know they are both morally wrong, law or no law.
You are making a mistake my friend. . .I completely disagree with both !

One I can speculate on,due to lack of proof. . . the other we have confirmation, thats the only difference.

TWO WRONGS CAN NEVER MAKE ONE RIGHT !!!

I am ready to support death penalty for anyone that nbangs his daughter-in-law,incase I need to make myself clearer !

@stephnina0,
what about the act of chasing out a seating gov in anambra by chris uba just because he was connected to obasanjo? was that constitutional and what happened to him? nothing rather he was promoted to the post of chairman pdp board of trustees.
what about the late adedibu and his war against the then oyo state gov? obj as a president went to oy to tell oyo ppl to manage and tolerate adedibu as he was to old to be reformed? maybe that was constitutional?
obj sleeping with his daughter inlaw was not a good christain life and had was moral disgrace for a man on whom over 150 million ppl looked unto as a role model. yet we all call that private life. what is private about the number one ctizen of a nation? on this forum, a photograph of obj sleeping in a gathering was posted but it is hsameful that out of pressure the moderators have deleted that post, why? we are just partial and unrealistic about our cases.
if nigeria has a constitution that is against a situation, let it be for all and not just for a group.
u and i can mention names of untouchables here in nigeria and these are above the laws yet someone is telling me about war on corruption.
there can never be any jsutified war on corruption when we are selective.
the pdp cabals have turned nigeria into a do as u like state and so shall it be afterall, the so-called sharia law has been there all the while we have democracy since 1999.
Very good, chidi. . .I don forget you sef. . .welcome.

Now back to your point of view.

If I get you correctly, what you are saying is that because there is generally evil in the land,we should not complain about this Yerima case ?  undecided

And please stop all these OBJ-daughter in law brouhaha,I already addressed that last time.

1. Its hearsay until OBJ or the woman confirms it !
2. Its not against Nigerian law to bang your daughter in law(no matter how repulsive it may sound to you & I).
3. Finally OBJ has not been quoted as attributing all his madness to his 'religion' which I honestly believe is 'Ifa' & not chistianity.

Good pal

I have said it on here several times. No thief can have his hand amputated in Nigeria. The punishment in the quran for a thief is amputation yes but with conditions.
I'm sure you meant should .

So do you mean,if we were able to achieve these utopian heights of poverty eradication etc,you would support someone to be amputated for say stealing N5 undecided
IslamRe: Curious About Islam, facts About Islam. by illusion2: 3:09pm On May 23, 2010
@LB,nice one bro wink. . . .No back to our hot topic of Sharia law.

Why would Sharia court of law in Nigeria pass judgement of amputation on a convicted thief(thereby rendering him disabled), while in Arab Islamic countries thieves are sent to to jail ? undecided

Is it different strokes for different folks or as usual Africans tend to be overezealous with such things.

onlysose:
Islam is sweet

Islam has remained the most protected religion of all times because of the constancy of the holy Koran.

In islam we dont use common sense, we use the Koran.

More than one thousands years ago the koran and the holy prophet gave us detail account of the anotomy of the birth of a child from conception to delivery that science is just discovering. This prophet thought us the structure of the marine life, stars, galaxies and the universe at large that science is just discovering. And yet this Prophet allow child marriage. The real meaning of faith is belief without evidence. If you choose to be a nun or a gay priest it looks
some how but that is up to you. If yerima chooses to marry a 13 years old then it is up to him. it is a choice in Islam.
For centuries this has been practiced in Hausa land and I dont know why it is an issue now. I served in the eastern part Nigeria and I see JSS one students bethrothed to men that are paying their school fees, were these students consulted before this arrangement. Somethings just look inside out at face at face value.

Westernisation has a lot of influence on the mordern christians

It is the western countries that are pushing forward child right in African countries.
compare their children with ours. that is what child right did to them.

It is the western countries that are pushing gay right and gay marriage in Africa.Go Malawi

You worship the whiteman because he thought you christianity,
tommorrow they tell you to marry animals and trees. this is westernisation.
You my friend are reasononing like an idiot. Its NOT about Islam. . .its politics like the poor amputated man has identified& the earlier maladjusted people like you realise the better.

There's no electricity and water in Zamfara. . . . . . . . . . .poverty & illiteracy is like 70% and all the senator from the state can think of is to marry a 5th wife (after divorcing the one he married at 15 ,four years ago) & you come here to says its about Islam. shocked shocked shocked shocked

Is there no self-disciple,self-denial in islam huh  huh huh

The first revealed to the prophet was what - IQRA ! KNOWLEDGE ! & yet you say islam is not about common sense.

Walahi its people like you that they will brainwash to go & blow up youself.

All Scripture - Bible,Koran ,Torah, Ifa is subject to interpretation !

Some may interprete to the extreme, others may interpret reasonably. . . .so don't EVER say ISLAM does not condone common sense.

Why do we have different Islamic schools of jurispudence??

If you have nothing to say keep quiet, but for God's sake stop dragging the great religion into a greedy's man' inadequacies. . .

PoliticsRe: Don't Honour Invitations, Muslim Group Tells Yarima by illusion2: 12:00pm On May 22, 2010
chidichris:
our problem is not islam but our kind of justice(selective justice). the yarima in question is just one out of over 50 million yarimas in nigeria and in our senate and aso rock.
non of the senators has the moral standard to judge this particular yarima.
visit all the hotels in abuja and u will see that almost all the senators and politicians have girls kept in those hotels.
the problem with this yarima is that he made his legal. what about those who are buying houses and lands, giving our govt cars and properties to their female friends?
obj slept with his daughter inlaw and no one shout because he is a christain. is it biblical for fathers to sleep with their daughter inlaws or is it in our constitution for fathers to sleep with their daughter inlaw? tell me now, how can obj look yarima in the face and tell him, man u fcked up?
we have more than 1 million constitutions in nigeria and cases are treated according to who u are. if obj had been treated like the dog he presented himself to be then, today the yarimas of our time will defintely have no reason not to go down.
nigerians must stop favourism and godfatherism if we must move forward.
let us leave yarima the way we left obj as both men are nigerians and shld have equal right and justice.
many nigerians are dying in jail today just because they looked at women or accused wrongly but here we have an obj and a yarima who openly misbehaved and they are rulers. shame to this thing we call our country.
all i am saying here is that it is not only about the muslims but also the christians.
if u must commit a crime in nigeria and go free, let it not be a crime against the pdp cabals as for the constitution, we have non.
@chidichris,your reasoning vis a vis OBJ & Yerima is slightly skewed,

1. OBJ is alledged to have slept with his daughter-in-law. . . .nothing so far proved, the woman denied it (so right now its purely innuendo).- Yerima on the other hand confirms he married this Egyptian girl

2. Lets assume OBJ did indeed sleep with his daughter-in-law
        a. There's nothing in the constitution that forbids this - Nigerian law in Abuja forbids marriage to under-18 girls.
        b. OBJ has not come out to say his religion permits him to sleep his his daughter-in-law - Yerima claims his religion gives him all the right to     marry this lady.

Finally lets stop all the false rationalising, because he (Yerima) comes publicly rather than 'pretend' like other senators (according to you) does not make it right .

By the way who told you Yerima doesn't have other concubines??

Are you aware he divorced his recently married teenage wife as well? This excludes his existing 3 other wives.

The question I ask is ,is  his entire life meant to be spent marrying?? When will he try to make a difference in the lives of his people?

Learn to call a spade a spade my friend.

Islam has been turned into some barbaric rigid, dogmatic ideology.

The Christians are not better than the Muslims in Nigeria, the Christians in Jos could not even stomach the fact that a Hausa Muslim minority won the chairmanship election in Jos north local government, so the state government had to rig the election which was clearly won by the Hausa Muslim just to make sure that a Hausa man was never allowed to rule as chairman which lead to the last blood bath in the city.

The Travails of Chukwuemeka(2)

Moving to Lagos was not going to be easy for Emeka,as his mother would have none of it. The palmwine business was booming at the time and there were younger ones to cater for. However Mekus (as he was known to is village mates) was adamant. He insisted he had to explore new grounds and not grow up a professional palmwine tapper/farmer.

"Nwanu, who do you know in this Lagos sef. . " his mother asked

"Nana,it doesn't matter,I know i can make it there" he said

"Hmmmmm" sighed his mother

"Afterall Nna Majestic made his millions in Lagos after the war,even Oliver De Coque sang his praise in his last album" Emeka continued;

he was referring to his relative 'Uncle Majestic' whose real name was actually Uchendu ,he got his nickname from a spelling competition organised by the catholic priest in the 50s.

'Uncle Majestic' was a successful spare parts dealer in Lagos and was well known and respected in Uli.

So despite his mother's resistance,Emeka packed a few belongings and set out to the motor park one early morning in May 1994,at the age of 14,praying that Chineke would guide his part and give him the strength to show those Yoruba infidels that Biafra would be great again.

He had over time come to lose interest in the Hausa-Fulani,as he believed they were irrelevant to the scheme of things. . . it was the 'ngati Yoruba' he would seek to dominate and disgrace as they had played a 'traitor' role with their leader Awolowo during the fall of Biafra.

As he got into the bus that would take him from the village to the central Lagos park in ihiala, all he could think of was making his first million naira and showing those Yorubas who was the best.

The Origins of Chukwuemeka

Chukwuemeka Biafra (aka mekusxxx, mekuszyx) was born into a humble home in Uli suburb of Ihiala town in the southeastern part of Nigeria.

Born into relative poverty,he resolved to be the very best he could ever be. Having lost many relatives to the civil war which ended 10 years earlier,he had the inane determination of getting back at the Nigeria 'establishment'-especially the Yoruba,Hausa-Fulanis,who held responsible for the humiliation his ethnic group suffered between 1967-1970.

His family were predominantly farmers/palmwine tappers, and he had cousins who had worked at the moribund Biafra International Airport,Uli.

Deprived of quality nursery/primary education,he learnt to write his name at the age of 9 and dropped out of formal education altogether at age 12. Thereafter,Emeka made up his mind to leave the family profession ,to pursue a career in trading. . . .and this is what led him to the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria (Lagos)

The Travails of Chukwuemeka(4)
To-chi (popularly called metal-gong because his father had been the town-crier in Umuahia), the shopkeeper Mekus had approached initially ,could see the disappointment and despair on the young lad.

“Nne,it is late,I think you can spend the night in my shop ,I will assist with looking for your relative in the morning” he offered.
Mekus could not be consoled,  but knew he had  few options “Daalu-Thank  you” he whimpered.
He was so hungry and tired, the shop floor would do.

Tochi offered him 2 sachets of gala and some water, which he devoured aggressively. He was then shown  where he would sleep, just beside a dark brown shelf that had seen better days.

That night as they slept  on the floor at the back of  To-chi’s shop, Mekus woke up suddenly to a strange feeling - his anus was being penetrated ! He tried to resist ,but was too tired and he sort of enjoyed it. cheesy

“This is what we do to hold body, okay” said Tochi aka metal-gong ,”Almost all spare parts apprentices have to go through this, so don’t worry”
“Arghhhh”   Mekus grimaced as To-chi grunted and sodomized him even further.

“I promise to take care of you, okay” said Mr To-chi aka metal-gong, humping ever so slightly.
“If you say so Nna” sobbed Mekus, as he felt  his rectal sphincter expand even more.  shocked shocked

He hadn’t had any s.ex.ual experience before and everything seemed new to him. After about 20 minutes it all ended ,his anus was on fire but he went back to sleep.
“Now you are a man” whispered Tochi as he too dozed off feeling relieved indeed.

Indeed Emeka  woke up in the morning, a new man, in his mind himself (Mekus), Tochi (aka metal-gong) had become one.
His homo-coital experience meant that from that day onwards, Mekus only had interest in people that were like him (Male &  Ndigbo) ,he had complete disdain for anyone who wasn’t an Igbo male.

Many associates in later years would later recall that his palpable  disdain for  women and all non-Igbo people actually began as a fallout  of his sodo.my experience with  Tochi aka metal gong.

Now, he had to look for his uncle.
