Acts of apostles edited, complied and collected by who?
If you ask me to go read a book isn’t it common sense I should know how the book came to be?
Maybe Watchtower publications, Macmillan or Wale Adenuga productions. Who cares, when i know the book was before them and i know the Author.

Of course. Elohim was the one sharing inheritance (isreal) to Yahweh that’s why Yahweh is the god of Israelites right?
Deuteronomy 32:8

Does Israel belong to Elohim or Yahweh?

It was Tertualian that called them that, one of the church fathers. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_Fathers
And he called them “Chrestian” later changed by the state sponsored Latin church to “Christian”.
Okay, no be only Tertualian, na Abdulkarem. Go and read the Acts of apostles, not just wiki.

Y’all are talking about Christians/Israelites gods, but which one, is it Elohim or Yahweh?

Those fathers were the one that created the Christian bible.
Is Elohim different from Yahweh in the Bible?

God is a title not person, which god are you talking about?
The God we're discussing, which do you suppose? Your answer is clear to my direction though. The Lord has used different people and circumstances to keep His Word even before those you call Fathers. You have more exposure, education and maybe money than them, you should attempt removing a verse or two or adding a couple and let's see how far you get.

Widely known and accepted as a religion, not as a practice. Most were and are not really following Christ. That's as succinct as it can be put.

BUT GOOD PEOPLE (WHATEVER THAT MEANS) WILL NOT BE SPARED.

IF YOU'RE A CHRISTIAN YOU'RE GOING TO THE BUDDHIST HELL, AND A MUSLIM IS GOING TO THE SCIENTOLOGY HELL.

OVER 5000 VERSIONS OF HELL AND THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN ESCAPE ONE OF THEM IS BY PRACTISING THOSE 5000 RELIGIONS, WHICH IS NOT POSSIBLE. SO WE'RE ALL GOING TO HELL! BRACE YOURSELVES!
Delusions of grandeur. The fact is not many religions talk about a hell or after life punishment for people who are not their religion or anyone. Stop blowing your ignorance like a balloon.

Impact? Did state sponsored Christianity achieve any Christian impact? Isn't that the chief cause of the watered down Christianity and several divisions and doctrines?

Bro, same should then be said of Joseph, Daniel, Joseph of Arimathea, Zaccheus and other rich men that followed Jesus. What i have noticed is that the church abandons her own to a pack of wolves in government. Then if he manages to triumph and become governor, president, vice president, Senate president, Vice chancellor etc, we'll start claiming he's our member and he should remember to do good especially to the body of Christ. We start inviting him for our big programmes to talk to us and our young ones. Na person wey make am we wan follow.

From experience, YES. But not me cheesy cheesy There are Christians that are called to something else in the body of Christ. But those who feel they have the gifts of government and feel so led should be encouraged to engage. Otherwise, na only prayers we go dey pray, Yahoo boys and gays will be ruling us and making laws for us.

Compare religious criticism of now and ten years ago. It's increasing. Even Christians now bash Christianity.
The younger generation are less religious than the older generation, and the younger generation don't really care much about religion. They'll only grow up to have more irreligious kids, and it goes on and on.
It's only the generation of pastor Adeboye and Oyedepo that are strict to religious practices. So...
Wake up Samuel, a little folding of hands to sleep can lead to serious poverty. What do the millions of people care about Muslim/Christian or Muslim/Muslim ticket since there's no much care about religion? Open those eyes bro, stop wasting their usefulness on pornography.

There are people in jail who are innocent, unjust suffering doesn't happen to only Christians.
That's the difference, it is unjust. Like i said and showed from the Bible, everyone suffers. i also stated the differences. Christians suffering are not really counted as unlucky in their world. Unlike other Innocent people who are just unlucky. Christians are actually told to be very happy(count it all joy, be exceedingly glad). They are also told of future rewards for it as i showed. cheesy You do know we are peculiar, no fighting it.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did God Not Protect The Kids Shot And Killed At Owo by Image123(m): 4:48pm On Jun 11, 2022
LordReed:
Just like suffering in prison is avoidable, doesn't make my suffering more or less special because I am not suffering in prison. Suffering has degrees and takes all shapes and forms, every human being suffers one thing or the other some more visibly so than others. Oyedepo's son would have suffered something or the other. Suffering for righteousness has no distinction since everyone suffers.

The question of why god allows suffering is pertinent to those who claim the god is omnibenevolent or the god is good all the time. If that is not your claim then you don't need to answer the question.
Didn't say suffering for righteousness was special, except for the fact and promise to be rewarded for it.

1Pe 5:9 KJV Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Mat 5:10 KJV Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Another thing is that those who suffer for righteousness actually suffer unjustly. They suffer for doing nothing or for doing something good. Criminals and sinners are usually reaping what they sowed. Imagine the millions that have been killed and imprisoned for being Christians or confessing to be Christians. Some people maimed, some in life imprisonment, families destroyed not for doing anything bad.
Another form of suffering is attack from satan as in the case of Job. Satan can attack a Christian with sickness, calamity, delay, frustration, rejection just for being a Christian.

On the second part, when you say God is omni-anything, that definition should align with what the whole Bible says.

i thought you referred to northern Nigerian states. In the OT, only the Israelites were not allowed to worship other gods, other nationalities worshiped their gods. In fact, the irony was that it was very stressful to convert to Judaism, it was not very "encouraged".

I don't know if you are just being blind or something. Deborah was killed in cold blood. Tell me that wasn't for religion. In Islamic states you dare not practice another religion else you'll be killed. Really? The all loving God kills his own children because they refuse serving him? There is no way you'll paint Islam as religion of peace and I don't blame them since the God of Christians also permitted such before. Don't come telling me that was then and now Jesus blah blah blah... The bible says God never change!
People are killed for religious reasons but don't say it is the command of their god, there's no proof of that. There are many Christians in Islamic states, i guess you refer to northern states in Nigeria?

And my point is suffering happens to all persons in one form or another so trying to distinguish "suffering for righteousness sake" is no distinction at all.
So does Oyedepo's son suffer? We should stop asking where God is or why God allowed suffering or claiming there's no God when suffering happens.
Suffering for righteousness sake is avoidable if you are not righteous BTW.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did God Not Protect The Kids Shot And Killed At Owo by Image123(m): 5:10am On Jun 11, 2022
LordReed:
Yeah so how are those people I mentioned suffering for righteousness sake? Do you mean you suffer once then you never suffer again? Besides how does suffering for righteousness sake make your suffering different from someone who is suffering for other reasons? Also why is this norm? It just seems so arbitrary meanwhile you are emphatic that it most happen to all who live godly in Christ. For instance Oyedepo's son, what suffering for righteousness sake has he endured?
The point i have established is that suffering is a very normal and expected thing for any Christian. So people should stop asking ignorant questions like why did God allow suffering to happen to so and so Christian. Where is God, why didn't God stop so and such from suffering. It's clearly seen in the Bible and there's no such contract/promise for every Christian to avoid suffering.

Like i earlier said, i don't personally know all these people and may not know their personal lives and struggles except they say. They are not the benchmark, the Bible is. Suffering is not fixed, some have them more. It's like sickness or trials or temptations. Job had more trials than Solomon, David had more trials than Samuel. For example, most of Samuel's obvious trials came from the house of Eli but he became an established prophet at a young age till death. Abraham's trial was different from Jacob or from Isaiah or Daniel. Daniel was not thrown into the furnace but was in the lion's den. Otherwise, Daniel seemed to enjoy power, promotion and position for most of his life. Though he must have suffered from being separated from his family at a young age, but things turned well for him. Can't compare him to the weeping Jeremiah or Paul. They all had different times and spans of suffering.
Suffering for righteous sake is usually because you are righteous, otherwise you will not be in that situation at that time. You are imprisoned like a criminal is, but you will likely be free if not for your faith/stand/preaching. You are given an extra year in school like the unserious but yours is because you didn't sleep with the lecturer or bribe, you actually passed but was deliberately failed.
People like Oyedepo's son are rare among the millions of Christians. They have their own world basically so have a good shield. His kind of suffering will usually come in maybe delay or denial. He may be denied some opportunities outside his sphere of influence if he chooses to move out. He may even be mocked or derided or lied against outside or online.

Training in morals is very necessary. I am advocate for good morals but training a child in religion that sees itself as Saint and others as the enemy is what I am against. I work with children. The first thing they say when they hear about another religion is those people are bad. They will go to hell.
Morals is summarily about good and bad, right and wrong. If morals are very necessary as you agree, there's no way you would not know the right and the wrong way. A Christian child will tell you the good or right way and things. Of course a sinner, what you call thieves, murderers, rapists etc. are bad people and children should not follow such. A Christian child loves everyone and prays for everyone to repent and go to Heaven/be godly. They don't want or rejoice in anyone going to hell or do your children rejoice?
