Okay! Pictures in e'ry little gathering.. How will these pictures reduce the suffering of Nigerians..?
No. The pictures show you to an extent what the FG is doing. I wish we had pictures to follow what each state government, local government chairman, senator and house of Rep members were doing or pretending to do. They all share those billions together EVERY month you know.
1. Press freedom allows you to see what Mr President is doing, if he bars journalists and picture takers, you'd complain still.
2. The President is working assiduously despite his age, contrary to the opposition's expectations and campaign that Buhari is old and sick and cannot cope.

Don't be ridiculous, you must have read this part " For the avoidance of doubt, only wire transfers to and from Domiciliary Accounts are henceforth permissible. “The CBN advises individuals that wish to source foreign currency for eligible and legitimate purposes such as BTA, PTA medical, mortgage, school fees, goods etc. to do so through recognized channels with the use of Form ‘A’ for “invisible” and Form ‘M’ for “visible” transactions.”"

@Tex & Deepsight,

You continue to miss the point.

Consciousness is simply the sum of interactive information.

Birds, turtles and puppies have billions of years of interactive information programmed by natural processes into their genes, their biology, thie physiology, their instincts.
So , your statements above are not good, well thought out arguments.

AI does not need to go through billion years of evolution to have the prerequisite threshold of interactive information that would make them human-like.
In fact, they do not need human emotions like love, fear, empathy, etc., because those traits were honed over the billions of years as necessities for evolutionary survival. They do not need it.

AI would not learn or social evolve in the same way that humans do, simply because they would bypass all the nuances, hickups, trials and errors of the evolution of human neural circuitry.

Unlike human babies that begin to quickly assimilate information from the moment of birth , to adulthood and most of it's life, AI's learning gradient would be almost instantaneous.
The reason for this is that AI , from the moment it is turned on, can plug itself right into the entire sum of human interactive information, and then stay constantly tuned into it.

Now, since I have stated before that consciousness is simply a product of interactive information, AI would be more alive to the moment than humans , without the nuances of culture, history, religion and genetic dispositions.
The point is not about tractors, bulldozers, trucks, computers, machine and robots doing things more efficient than human beings. The point remains that they are not humans and have nothing to do with religion and beliefs.

I watch a lot of science fiction movies and it is a very common in sci-fi literature to find plots woven around the consequences of human creating robots capable of Artificial Intelligence.

But this is no more fiction as scientists are coming closer and closer to making very intelligent robots which might be able to question their own existence.

I have been really thinking about this issue and what it means for christianity. As a Christian, humanoid-looking robots with AI functionality creates a serious challenge for my faith. It raises questions about what it means to be a “creation” and it also creates an ethical homework in which we as Christian have to figure out how to treat robots fairly, as they become our fellow conscious beings. Yes, treating robots like humans will become an issue because scientists tend to make robots look as human as possible and so, there might be a time where humans might be indistinguishable from robots.

Here is a list of questions that an inquisitive Christian would probably ask as a result of robots having AI-

-Do we as human beings become more “God-like” since God created us in His own image and we have created robots in our own image?

-Would sex with robots be considered bestiality or perverted from a Christian point of view?

-Would robots have souls? Would they be judged on judgement day?

-Should robots have human rights? Or would they be “robot rights”

-Can a robot be a pastor or reverend father since we already have robot factory workers?

-Should robots eat Holy Communion?

-Can a human get married to a robot?

-Should robots be baptized or granted church membership?

What do you think about these questions? Would conscious robots challenge your faith?

Sorry i'm late for the meeting cheesy cheesy cheesy . Robots are not humans, they are not even animals. They don't have life, they run on Operating System(OS) like your phone. They need updates, they need new versions. They don't eat, they don't grow, they don't die, they cannot go to heaven or hell. They remain robots. i'm not doubting or putting down their intelligence or accuracy. My calculator does a lot of stuff i cannot compete with, but i cannot hold it in regard above any human being. Simulation, ARTIFICIAL intelligence is not the same as to love, live and die. Robots don't feel the pain, the joy, the emotions we feel, they can only simulate it or be programmed to do them. Any other questions, or questions i did not touch on that you still need that i touch?

Let me make some quick predictions based on first hand experience.

#1. Legit manufacturers that were buying black market before for machines, parts and raw materials will no longer be able to do this due to the new rule. As usual, getting funds from CBN for these imports is still taking months.

#2. Prices of good will go sky high. As a manufacturer , if i only have raw materials to last for 3 months, I'll increase the price to make as much money as possible.. You guys wait for a few months and watch what happens in the market when supply < demand

Bottom line is when goods become scarce, prices go sky high. It was easy to wire funds abroad to China and India for goods, now its impossible.

#3. People need to realize the fact dollar depreciated in black market has nothing to do with our economy, it simply has to do with less demand(due to the fact it cant be deposited/wired). The CBN still has a problem meeting dollar demands from local businesses because the oil price is still low, and they are busy trying to shore up the reserve.

Nigeria is in for a bumpy ride ahead, and I wish everyone all the best.

I'm not saying this policy is all bad. The good news is that now crooks and corrupt people cant convert their naira to dollars and wire abroad to buy houses, stash the cash in foreign accounts, etc.

The bad news is that now legit businesses cant wire funds abroad to source materials they need for production. They now have to depend solely on CBN and that takes months at best.

Lets assume you have a small industry, and your machine brakes down and you need to wire $12,000 to india to get some parts to continue production ASAP, thanks to CBN you're basically f***ed.. Time to close up shop because your Indian spare part supplier has no way of getting that $12000. and NO, machine manufacturers and raw material suppliers abroad don't take gtbank naira cards. lol.
Every business minded persons and economists knew already that we were in for rough times in the economy. Tough times call for tough decisions. As far back as last year, it was common sense that there we were heading for inflation and massive job losses. The economy was in shambles and all we were hearing was rebasing and largest economy in Africa. There is no new rule, banks are simply not collecting dollars for now. They can decide to start collecting by next month or even next week depending on situations. The common man and common businesses have already inflated prices giving the dollar excuse, you hear it even in the local village markets. So, nothing new, nothing spoil.

You dont get it do you? explain how you will get electronic transfer of funds into your domicilliary account.. Lets imagine you have N10,000,000 and need to send some funds abroad to family, friends, etc.. Your naira is useless and the mallam cant wire USD into your dom account since dollars cant be sent across banks in Nigeria... People are still confused about this policy.. Its crippling for legitimate business men.

DOM accounts has no yearly LIMIT or the $300 dollar/day limit... It was easy to deposit cash into DOM account and fund it.. Now the only way to get money from DOM ACCOUNT is through an electronic transfer...

For the donkey who complained about buying a $20,000 car for my child. I hope you realize there are millions of Nigerians who are rich and have legitimate businesses. (Car dealers, hotel owners, manufacturers, restaurants, etc) There are many people who make money 100% legit and dont deal in Oil subsidy fraud or government contracts.

Maybe you want your child to use a bus, however some parents see no problem in buying their child a $20.000 or $50,000 dollar car.

I dont even want to get into the medical aspect of this rule.

This just happened to someone i know today:

His dad needs to go to abroad for a procedure(hip replacement), he got the letter from the hospital today that the total bill is around $62,000 or thereabouts. He has naira, he needs dollars asap to pay the hospital deposit upfront and also be able to wire the rest. He asked me if I had dollars sitting abroad to give him and I said no.

I told him goodluck getting the funds to the hospital in the next 3 months grin He's gonna need all the luck he can get.

CBN is telling people there are channels for sourcing funds for legitimate business. ALL Manufacturers already know and use this. The only problem is that unless you're a manufacturer or an importer, you wont know that CBN does not have enough dollars, and its taking months to get funds from them..

Instead of CBN to use the dollars to settle bills for importers and manufacturers, they are using the funds to shore up the reserve. What is the point of the reserve if companies are closing and people are getting laid off.lol stupid country
An average rich man operating a dorm account does not have just $10 in the account, just like he does not have a 1,500naira balance in his naira account. We cannot sacrifice the country's economy for a rich few who probably have multiple foreign accounts already. The rich have always profited most from this country, so it's not too bad if the poor get to profit at this time. The banks refusal to accept dollars is not an everlasting decision but FOR A WHILE. It is a decision spurred by demand and supply. The world is not ending because of the decision. Those that want to buy $20,000 cars for their children can wait, or go ahead and buy as it is still within a $50,000 annual limit. Getting a hip replacement also is not that expensive, there are cheaper alternatives. People should learn to live within their means. Someone who wants a $62,000 hip replacement would have enough of that money or half of it in their dorm and naira accounts. You can as well get a hip replacement for $17,000 if you want. Or you can wait. There will always be limits, the current limit was set in April. Would you rather that $1=300naira and no limits so that your friend can get a hip replacement, or that the naira is strenghtened and there is some sanity restored to the nation's ailing economy. You have used extremes in your analogy, so permit my 'extremity' as well.

The clarification left might be, what if the business person doesn't have sufficient funds in his domiciliary account? i suppose transfers can be made into the account from other accounts at prevailing bank exchange rate.

Yes, the limits are severe. Here, we clearly see that the daily limits on ATM transactions is now $300 from $2500, and the annual limit is now $50,000 from the previous $150,000. For businesses and individuals that do a lot of international transactions, this can be crippling.

And yes, I know CBN claims they are not the one that ordered banks to not collect dollars (USD); this is clear. I would however state categorically that CBN's monetary policies is what pushed banks to stop collecting USD in cash. People are panicking about the value of the Naira, and as a result some are converting more of their Naira into USD and stashing it in their domiciliary accounts. Banks became pressured to stop accepting USD for this reason, I believe CBN pressured them to do this; you also realize that Emefiele strongly supports this move as though he proposed it all along.

Your assertion that demand for dollar is less than supply is only partially true-- it is only partially true because it is the banks' policy to not accept USD in cash that has artificially reduced USD demand (not the other way around), thereby bringing down USD's black market value (and increasing the Naira black market value). In reality though, the demand for the dollar is still high, the semblance of low demand is a mirage that is masked by the banks' policy.
i still maintain that the limits are not severe and i stand to be corrected. Firstly, the banks not collecting dollars is TEMPORARY. Secondly, business goes on as not only one road(parallel market/BDC) that leads to successful business transactions.
Note that the CBN policy on dollar withdrawal is not new but as far back as April 15. Now $300 daily is for CASH withdrawal, not for online transaction. Online transaction can be done with either dorm or naira accounts. Also, the $50,000 annual doesn't apply to dorm account.

Yes that is true. But there are now severe limits on how much can be spent abroad daily on these cards. These limits will adversely affect businesspersons.

Basically, Emefiele is trying as hard as he can to put bandages to cover the problem. While I'm a proponent of using the CBN to defend the Naira, I believe that such interventions should be done on a very limited basis. The primary way to defend the Naira is through a strong economy, not through the stifling measures that Emefiele has been implementing of late. (Granted, it isn't his fault whatsoever that the economy is weak.)
No, the limits are not severe. And CBN is not the one that ordered banks not to collect dollars, as stated in the OP. What's happening is basic ss1 Economics, the law of demand and supply. The demand for dollars is currently less than the supply.

How does anyone manage that contradiction. BTW, Nigeria has had a so called non-northern government for the past years and things didn't go well. What we really need is a working, functioning government.

Deliberate sabotage and unpatriotic decisions are clearly visible.

That's the height of hypocrisy or confusion. So in other words, if refineries give 2million litres of petrol in October, thanks GEJ, but if they don't, PMB takes the blame. Ludicrous logic.

2 Million litres of what?

Kaduna Refinery capacity is 110,000 barrels a day

1 barrel = 159 litres

there for Kaduna refinery capacity is 110,000 x 159 = 17,490,000 (17.5 Million litres per day)

2 million litres is 11% of 17.5 Million litres

Are we really here celebrating the possibility that Kaduna refinery will reach 11% operational capacity in the future?

No wonder this country is in trouble, no one even bothers to ask simple questions, we just accept any rubbish we are told and celebrate mediocrity as progress.
But you didn't wait for the simple answer before concluding na. A refinery refines crude oil into different petroluem products. Petrol/Gasolene is just ONE of the many products. For a refinery that is currently not giving us even 100,000litres of petrol after spending so much in the past. Giving us 2million litres of petrol by October, and then 6million early next year is a good news. They didn't specify the millions of litres for diesel, kerosene and others. Be thankful

In this age of cheap internet, free access to google and other search engines, with online news media. It is unfortunate that many are attempting to twist and turn VERY RECENT History in everyone's face. i will like to use this thread to remind us with verifiable links what obtained in the GEJ administration as regards our oil refineries. In a nutshell(for those who don't want to read long post), the past administration/government lacked progressive direction as regards the refineries. The below facts are things everyone knows even though some choose to forget.

As at November 23, 2012, the news was "Refineries’ turnaround maintenance to start first quarter 2013"

Below are some excerpts from the news report, all are free to read the full report from the link given.

-The long-awaited turnaround maintenance for the country’s ailing refineries will start in the first quarter of next year, with the Port Harcourt plant slated to be attended to first.
-The spokesperson for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Fidel Pepple, confirmed the dateline for the commencement of the maintenance works.

He said in-house estimates for the repairs were currently being finalised.
-The Federal Government had said it planned to spend $1.6bn (N251.2bn) on the repair of the three refineries .

The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, had said there were some adjustments in the timelines for executing the TAM.

She said although there were plans to build new refineries, existing ones would still be maintained.

The minister had also said there was a new plan to increase the local refining capacity of the nation’s three refineries to 90 per cent of their installed capacity by 2014.

She explained that the planned TAM and upgrade of the refineries could not hold as earlier scheduled because of the negative travel advisory given by the Japanese authorities to JGC, the original builders of the Port Harcourt Refinery, which stopped its officials from coming for the upgrade and maintenance of the refinery.

“With that hurdle surmounted, we have put in place a new plan complete with new schedules and timelines to bring the refineries back to life and get them to run at higher capacity. The maintenance and upgrade work will start with the Port Harcourt Refinery, which has stayed the longest period without turnaround maintenance,” she had explained.
-Alison-Madueke also said the contract for the project would soon be signed and that the rehabilitation and upgrade work would move from the Port Harcourt Refinery to the Kaduna and Warri refineries in that order until the last one “comes on stream by the beginning of the last quarter of 2014.”

The next month of that same year, December 15, 2012. The story developed k-leg. The headline was "FG drops planned refinery projects •Jonathan must tackle fuel subsidy corruption–Labour"

Here are some excerpts from the report.
-Eleven months after promising to build three new refineries for the country, the Federal Government may have dumped the plan.
-This development came to the fore as organised labour expressed surprise at President Goodluck Jonathan’s N161bn supplementary budget on fuel subsidy for 2012.
-he President had in a letter to the National Assembly on Tuesday, said the N888bn budgeted for fuel subsidy this year would not be enough.

But as Jonathan is seeking an additional N161bn, the FG has yet to begin moves to build the three refineries it promised during the fuel subsidy protests last January.
-The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation had in 2010 unfolded plans to build three new refineries.

The refineries are to be sited in Kogi, Lagos and Bayelsa states.
-The Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolememen, who spoke to douse the tension associated with the protests, had said, “I want Nigerians to know that when these new refineries are completed, we will be a net exporter of petroleum products and prices will begin to come down, just as we are witnessing in the telecommunications sector with the GSM regime.
-“The one in Lagos is with the capacity of 200,000 barrels per day, while the ones in Kogi and Bayelsa have the capacity to produce 100,000 barrels per day.”
-He said, “The three refineries are to be built by the government in partnership with the private sector. They do not include the six that are solely private sector driven.
The above quotes would have been funny if they were not utterly pathetic. It was all mouth, no action.

Ten days later, Christmas day, it was still discordant tunes as regards refining crude oil in Nigeria.
December 25, 2012, News headlines read "NNPC plans to repair three refineries with N152bn"
Some excerpts from the report are in the quote below.
-The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation will spend N152bn on the repair of three of the nation’s refineries in 2013
-Details of the budget show that the total maintenance cost for the Port Harcourt Refinery by its original builders, basic engineering design for the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit and RFCC plant project is estimated at N76.779bn.
-The NNPC also plans to move 42.3 milion barrels of crude oil to the domestic refineries for processing in 2013.

As a result, a total of 18.64 billion litres of products are expected to be derived from local refining during the period.
-The National Assembly had queried the NNPC for spending more than it earned in 2012. It consequently requested details from where it got the extra money to fund its activities.
-The Minister of Petroluem Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, had in October said that the Federal Government planned to spend N250bn on the Turn-Around Maintenance of the Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna refineries.

She said the government would spend $146m out of which $32m (75 per cent) had already been paid for the materials needed.

Several TAMs had been performed on the refineries in the past without visible results.
Don't hiss just yet, the drama continues one year later.

November 28, 2013, the story had not improved in any way. The headline was "FG completes negotiations for Port Harcourt refinery"
Some excerpts from the reports are in the quote below.

-The Federal Government on Thursday said it had completed negotiations for the sale of Port Harcourt refinery as it works towards privatising the nation’s four crude oil refining companies in the first quarter of 2014.
-Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, declared that her ministry “was completely unaware” of shady deals perpetrated by NNPC as was recently alleged by a Swiss-based non-governmental advocacy group, Berne Declaration.
-She said, “The sale of the refineries comes in the first quarter of 2014. At this point in time the negotiation rounds for Port Harcourt refinery are finally completed.
-As you know, we started the turn around maintenance with the original contractors that built the refineries.
It'leaves much to be desired when less than a year before, billions of naira were said to be approved and paid for maintenance, and we were expected to have billions of litres of products in 2013. But by November 2013, they were finally completed on selling the refinery without any so called 18.64 billion litres of products derived from local refining.

Enter last year, January 3, 2014. The news had it that "Jonathan hasn’t approved sale of refineries, says Abati" Don't get dizzy by the ding-dong, fasten your seat belts and read some excerpts from the report in the quote below.

-The Presidency on Thursday said the Federal Government had no plan to sell any of the nation’s refineries contrary to the news making the rounds about the imminent sale of the facilities.
-the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers had threatened to embark on an industrial action this month if the Federal Government refused to drop the idea of selling the refineries.
-“The Federal Government will not sell the refineries. There is no authorisation for anybody to do so; there is no presidential endorsement. Even the minister does not have the powers to sell government’s property,” Abati declared.
-The Head, Public Communication, Bureau of Public Enterprises, Mr. Chigbo Anichebe, had said through a statement in Abuja on December 20, 2013 that Jonathan had approved the constitution of a steering committee for the sale of the nation’s four refineries.

Anichebe had said the President also approved the commencement of the privatisation of the refineries.

-“This is in keeping with the transformation agenda, which seeks to catalyse and provide an enabling environment for the private sector to be the driver of economic growth in the country.
So, did anything concrete or progressive happen all through last year as regards our four refineries? NO. You can be sure, it would have being in the TRANSFORMATION campaigns. By the ending of the year, last year, our refineries were still hopeless despite all the billions of naira spent on TAM and all the failed promises.
November 24, 2014, News was "Oil slump: Nigeria’s crude refining to drop further" Our REFINING dropped further, the GEJ government did not sell them or produce anything tangible for the benefit of the country.
Some excerpts from the news report are in the quote below.

-The country’s four refineries are currently operating far below optimal capacity owing to their prolonged state of disrepair. Falling oil prices and pipeline vandalism are further threatening their output
-Nigeria is currently under fresh pressure to reduce the quantity of crude oil being refined in its four refineries.

This, according to sources in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, is due to the rising cost of refining the oil locally.
-Rather than spending the nation’s scarce resources on refining oil, government is said to prefer importing the refined products.
-Nigeria, which is Africa’s largest crude oil producer, is arguably the biggest importer of refined petroleum products on the continent, creating a lucrative market for refineries particularly in Europe and the United States.

This unfortunate status is unlikely to change any time soon because all the four refineries had been operating well below installed capacity as they are in different states of disrepair, according to experts.
-The existing four local refineries (with 445,000 bpd capacity) only contributed about four per cent to 20 per cent in the past five years to the national petrol consumption, he also said.
-But the NNPC has continued to attribute its failure to put the refineries in efficient working conditions to security threats in the regions where the refineries are located.

The corporation also claimed that Original Equipment Manufacturers for the refineries had refused to show up after they might have been invited for the TAM on grounds of insecurity.
-OPEC, in its World Oil Outlook 2014 report, said the continent would boast only about 0.6 million bpd of the new crude distillation capacity by the end of 2019 .
It further stated that Nigeria had failed to fast-track the implementation of new refinery projects, while it continued to face setback as regards the rehabilitation of the existing refineries.
Quite a grim report, the unpatriotic acts and deliberate sabotage in the past government was unchecked. Did elections, campaigns and a new year improve anything during the GEJ administration? NO

This year 2015. March 3, 2015. This was ELECTIONS month, if the GEJ administration had any hope as regards our 4 refineries, any sort of joker, or light at the end of the tunnel, this was the time they would have presented it. GEJ would have gone to commission it, but even the very tunnel was taken away as soon as there was ever hope of light at the end of the tunnel. The news reads "Lack of support by labour stalls refineries’ sale"
To sell or to repair, to sell or to repair, to sell or to repair, March 3, mini mini mani mo. Well, some of the excerpts from the report are in the quote below.

-The Federal Government may have slowed down the process of selling the nation’s refineries following its failure to secure the support of labour unions.
-Although the BPE had listed the sale of the four refineries in its work list for 2014 after securing the approval of the National Council on Privatisation, the agency said the deal would only happen when the government secured a buy-in from the organised labour.
-the General Secretary, Nigeria Labour Congress, Dr. Peter Ozon-Eson, said the organised labour remained opposed to the sale of the refineries and indicated the failure of the government to obtain its support.
Ozon-Eson said, “We remain opposed to the sale of the refineries. Our position is that the refineries should be made to work.
-A source at BPE indicated that work on the proposed sale of the refineries had slowed down but added that the agency was working on the sale internally.
-The immediate past Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, had explained that the Federal Government deferred the proposed sale of the refineries in order to ensure the stability of the political environment.

Maku said although the Federal Government believed in the tremendous benefits of privatising the refineries to the Nigerian economy, a decision on the sale had to be taken when critical stakeholders come to agree on the need for the action.
The past FG wanted so badly to sell the refineries but for pressure from the labour people, and to avoid POLITICAL instability. Elections were coming and they didn't want any Occupy NNPC or whatever similar thing that might have disturbed them politically. It is therefore unfair and even criminal for anyone to commend the past administration for the current and sudden progress, development and production being experienced at the Nation's four refineries.
Finally, to the more recent and popular news about 2016 and the refineries. Any serious person as at that date knows this was yet another unserious promise. March 5, 2015, news headlines said "Refineries will produce 400,000bpd in 2016 – NNPC"

Excerpts from the reports below.
-The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation said on Thursday that the country would be producing about 400,000 of refined petroleum products every day when it completes the current rehabilitation of the three refineries in the country by the first quarter of next year.
-Okon, in company of the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Mr. Joseph Dawah, told the senators that the corporation could not afford the bills for their turn around maintenance from the original builders.
-He said, “The refineries would work again at full capacity, we already have plans to bring them back to perform at full capacity. We have discarded the initial plan of carrying out a comprehensive turn around maintenance initiated in 2011.
-He said Saipem which was to carry out the turn around maintenance of the Port Harcourt refinery gave the agency a bill of $475m, but later reduced to $297m after further negotiation.

He said the management considered the prices to be on the high side and that given its financial situation, decided to look inward by inviting local contractors that are familiar with the facilities and worked with them.
Here we are, its the beginning of August and the reports are that our refineries have started to work. Thanks to former President Jonathan? Really? Reality clearly shows he didn't even have an idea or clue.

infact, if you check the maths, you will confused as well

1 barrel = 119.24 litters

meaning refining 60, 000 barrels of crude = refining over 6million litters of crude...

Again as regards the 2million liters of fuel, pls which fuel is that..?
PMS or DPK or AGO or a combination of all
bkos i dont get it now
Read the third line of the report. It says "The company said it was currently working with a target to release two million litres of petrol daily into the market by October."
That's a projection anyway. Many products are obtained from crude including kerosene, diesel, petrol and other petrochemicals. They hope to hit 6million litres of petrol by early next year, and 2million litres this year.

It is now producing 60,00 barrels per day but to produce 2m per day by October.

God knows that we shall hold them accountable to this. grin
Your bigotry has totally blinded you to commonsense and reality. Here's the quote, " the company was on phased rehabilitation, with a target to hit 60 per cent of its local refining capacity, which is about 2 million litres daily, in the next few months, stating further that there is no reason why the company cannot achieve 6 million litres by early next year."
Crude oil is refined into different products like diesel, kerosene, petrol/gasoline etc. Petrol production is expected/projected to hit 2million. litres by October. Learn that a barrel of liquid has about 110litres of liquid, so don't get your knickers in a twist.

There's actually a good book titled "What is holiness" by William F Hill. Great book, every Christian should read.

He's leaving Bayelsa to Osun, out of Necessity. The ministry sent him there to build up the state.

Christ Embassy has only 3 churches in Osun State, and a membership of less than 300 generally. (unbelievable huh? shocked)

He has an uphill task, and I know he'd succeed, judging from what I have seen him do in Bayelsa. His successes in Bayelsa is phenomenal.

Here's a man who built on water, fire gutted the first, he built again, the floods came... No shaking. He pastors over a hundred churches in Bayelsa, winning several awards, and presidential awards too.

A rugged soul winner, teacher, father (you can't imagine the number of people he's taken under his care, feeding, housing, paying fees both those in primary to those in the university), a gifted pastor with the healing anointing, yet he doesn't own a property in Bayelsa, not even a self contained.

When he gets to Osun (Lord knows I'm planning on porting grin, I want to be a part of the success story in Osun), he'd replicate what he's done in Bayelsa, over there, in no distant time, and we all shall witness it.

I pray for his success in Osun State, I believe heavily in him, Pastor Chris does, Rev Tom does, Evangelist Owase does ... And the ministry entirely.

I doff my hat for one of the most humble and well refined minister of the gospel I've come across. I'm glad I met him a couple of times, and partook in his services.

God bless you abundantly Pastor Joe. smiley
Thanks a lot, i appreciate the openness. I pray God helps him

Save yourself from lack of commonsense. The NEC are not taking selfies or posting on nairaland. It is media people, cameram and photographers that take photos and post them on blogs, social and news media. If they bar journalists, it is still you that will still wail like a possessed goat.

Or is he/she supposed to tow the line of the church without any argument or debate ?
What is doctrine? Anyway, a Christian should not be divisive or attempt to incite others against themselves. If you are not okay with your church and assembly, quietly and prayerfully leave without making a show of it,or drawing people or preaching disunity in the church. IF anyone is not clear on a teaching or position, there are gentlemanly and Christian ways to go about it, not murmurings or causing disaffection and faith crises among the brethren or outrightly pulling them down syndrome. Jesus prays for the church to be one. Oneness is unity not necessarily uniformity.

God gives you eternal life, healing, name of Jesus, power, deliverance, provisions, favour, family etc. You leave all that and more for a crises of faith over a couple of verses? Grow up please.
