lastmessenger: if you read the site the author has not spoken anything against the scriptures. He only interpreted the scriptures different from the traditional interpretations. He did not say that there is no hell or punishment for the unjust, he tried to prove using many scriptures that hell fire which the bible called the second death actually means the total annihilation of the ungodly. God knows the right punishment for the angel who stayed in the presence of his glory and yet decided to go against him. we were only given a tip of the iceberg on what transpired between God and Satan. Therefore, i cant say if punishing Satan forever is just or not. You're saying that you are inconclusive on the justice of punishing devil(s) forever. IF God punishes man forever, IF, can it be just, or you have a conclusion on that? |

efficiencie: i did bro, i respected the context and in addition i gave him scriptural instances where his criticism of T B Joshua could also have been levelled against Solomon and the brethren of the Church of Acts...so it's a thing of the heart and only God searches the heart so only God can judge NOT US MERE HUMANS...but we can judge his TEACHINGS against the standard of the WORD...
for by our words we are condemned and by them justified (Matthew 12:37) What are TBJ's teachings/doctrines? Solomon wasn't giving alms. Giving to God directly through offerings or His ministers is not alms. You give alms to poor people to help them, that was what Jesus talked about. A thousand disobediences do not make the Word of Jesus irrelevant, His words don't pass away as it were. |

lastmessenger: It is possible the devil may suffer forever( for the man who deceived the whole world) but for humans who lived a few years and committed timed offence I can't say with certainty that he will be punished forever. My point is based on the sense made by the authors of the site provided by frosbel. I believe there is always a just recompense of reward for the wrong committed by humans. The idea if total anihilation of the ungodly in hell is very much possible but like I said earlier I have not settled on this. Okay, you are the only one that answered. i'm guessing that the rest are shy. So, do you think God is unjust to send devil(s) to hell forever? P.S I'd advice you stick with what the Bible says, and not whatever sense some sites say. |

efficiencie: As for giving in the public, if T B Joshua does it to be seen of men then his reward awaits but if he's doing it to encourage and spur others to do likewise then his reward also awaits... but what would you say of Solomon who gave 22000 oxen and 120000 sheep to God in one day as seen in I Kings 8:63-64 (is that a kind of show off to you) and what of those who sold their property and brought the proceeds to the feet of Peter as seen in Acts 4:34-35 wouldn't that be a show off too... Bro, that man T B Joshua teaches that 'what you give is not as important as the way you give it' so you see he knows that giving must be from a sincere, broken and contrite heart...and i believe he gives that way to make many follow suit... you say he LURES people to church!!! That's funny because more than 70% of the people there throng the church for solutions they can get from God that money cannot get! He hasn't chained, forced or compelled anyone to stay, pay tithe or worship there... Bro bring a SOLID ARGUMENT against his DOCTRINES... I think Solot quoted New Testament and clearly about ALMS giving, respect that context. |

Some claim he's a GRAPHIC, MOTION PICTURE ARTIST per excellence, some claim his source of power is OCCULTIC but these accusations do not HOLD WATER because if they do we would also have to ACCUSE the likes of OLUKOYA (MFM), ADEBOYE (RCCG), KUMUYI (DLBC) etc...However a formidable accusation would be against his DOCTRINE and it APPEARS no one has anything against his DOCTRINE...

onayemi1: The truth is that fayemi wrecked the state financially. He was borrowing money for the wrong reasons. How can a governor borrow money to build a government house, buy cars for the political class and also use 50m naira to buy bed. Fayemi made sure he not only left the state finance to be in red but also made sure that its in the negative. Shame on all our politician. None of them is ready to work other than embezzle state funds. I implore the incumbent governor to please look for means to pay the sepyember salary All states and government owe money all over the world, kindly find out. The point is that from what we are hearing, Fayemi didn't owe his workers salary because of debt. He owed because the allocations used to pay came late. There is no problem with him owing debts if they were being serviced/paid and if the monies are put to good use for now and the future. A state should not just be grounded and do nothing simply because it's a poor state, and perhaps unfortunate to be persecuted for being another party state. I personally was ashamed to read the President, while campaigning, promising development to Ekiti IF they vote pdp. In other words, if another party wins, they will be neglected, is that good governance? I stay in the south west, and i can testify to the abandonment of federal roads and other things by the government. |

You may not understand d situation better unless your parents or relatives are working in ekiti. What is so special to understand? Which is not true in the following sentences? State government in Nigeria depend on allocation from FG. Ekiti state government owed its workers September salary. Allocation from Federal has been paid for September. Allocation from federal government came late. Thanks |
Politics › Re: No September Salary For Now, Fayose Tells Ekiti Workers by Image123(m): 12:44pm On Dec 27, 2014 |
johhnnie: governance is not the way they make the lay man see it. I will tell u that there is one thing we cannot take a way from Jonathan ' s administration and that is freedom of speech and association. Under APC governments, it will never be so. to state categorically with examples, most states in nigeria are not self sufficient. yet, the politicians live in affluence. most especially, the APC states. They live on federal government allocations as well as loans from financial institutions. from these monies, they steal over 70% in order to perpetuate themselves in office. Unfortunately for Fayemi in Ekiti, PDP won the last election and that was what brought out the secrets. I can also boldly talk of Osun where a state that barely produces anything has as debt burden of over 120b. It was 9b under the last PDP government. that is part of the reason y these states cannot afford to pay salaries. There are also other intervention areas of partnership among the 3 levels of governance federal, State and local. The state governments in the southwest cornered substantial portion of these funds such that some health workers that are supposed to have been paid for the past 10 months are yet to be paid. Freedom of speech? It's supposed to be a democracy i suppose. Why do you come to a conclusion that another government cannot allow freedom of speech? Don't say God told you please. All the states live on allocation, it is not most especially some states. You have given some other unsubstantiated information, but let's deal with the above for now. |
Politics › Re: No September Salary For Now, Fayose Tells Ekiti Workers by Image123(m): 12:37pm On Dec 27, 2014 |
johhnnie: people will not truly understand the style of governance under APC governments in the southwest . its more like a cult like thing with so many secrets. They milk the treasury. I implore every interested fellow to Google out debt burden of the south western states. Osun owes over 110b, Ekiti owes over 40b, ogun state owes over 30 b naira while lagos debt burden stands at half a billion dollars. The most annoying thing is that they award contracts in such a way as to further place their subjects under slavery and servitude. most contract are awarded on a contractor- financing system. A situation whereby the contractor undertakes to finance the project with a proviso interest regime far higher than what the commercial banks take. The so contract go to the likes of tinubu5, Aregbesola and Co. They also operate a pyramidical financial system that is bound to collapse at any moment. that is y they want the federal power at all cost in order to save face from the impending financial doom across the states under their jurisdiction. This is tinubu ' s game plan. Lol @d debt profile you conjured up. It would be fair if you gave us the profile of the 36 states, FCT and federal government, that way we can see a better picture. |

anonimi: You may need to replace your eyes and read widely so you can see clearly and stop embarrassing yourself.
The Federal Allocation Accounts Committee (FAAC), is made up of the 36 states and the federal government as CUSTODIAN only. They meet monthly to agree on sharing of the national cake aka Niger Delta oil revenue.
The states are free to sue the federal government to the Supreme court if they feel they have been shortchanged in the sharing. They have done that before over the oil subsidy payments, Excess Crude Account etc.
Many of us seem IGNORANT of the fact that we have been in a growing democracy for the past 16 years or so and the separate but complimentary INSTITUTIONS are slowly recognising and exercising their constitutionally guaranteed INDEPENDENCE while the useless politicians in the 36 states and 774 LGAs continue deceiving their fellow citizens of the sole responsibility of the federal government for their daily existence I wonder what you are struggling to say with many words. The reality at hand is that state governments depend on the federal government for sustenance and monthly allocation. I'm not saying that is good or bad, just saying that is what happens. The FG delays that allocation. Process that. |

Pay your workers, do your job, and stop making noise. It's obvious he's leaving that particular month's salary unpaid to sustain bad blood from the poor people against the opposition.
