If what's gonna be is gonna be, it will be most ridiculous to WATCH AND PRAY. what say ye 5solas,i neva forget ouR thread e, no mind My Lazinity |
You don't need a plethora now, all ya need is one goal, misplaced priorities. You def need a real coach. |
When is the true sabbath day? It may be saturday, it may be today. It depends on when God calls it. It's like asking, when Is the true Lord's day? i suppose it may be Sunday, right? What about monday and friday, are the satan's day? They are all the Lord's day in a sense. What truly matters before God is that we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, in the unity of the Spirit with fellow believers be it any day or time. |
you 'tell' someone that he/she is a sinner or what he/she's doing is wrong because you love them. It's better for one's day to be 'spoilt' than for one's whole life and eternity to be condemned. Like Jo wrote, if you see someone skipping gleefully to a dead end, it's love, responsiblity and common sense to tell him that there's no road there, and then you show him the way. |
Common! It's evangelism for Christ's sake literally. Jo's trying as much as possible not to make it about his church, i thought it'll be good others also shared and encouraged. |
Zac Poonen. We need more God's babies like Zac Poonen, Heaven material |
Let me help you keep your quadruple dream alive- you've already won the emirates cup na, quadrumple. Didn't the boys rest enough? Maybe team J should have played against Stoke so that the boys would've been FULLY rested for today, they must rest mustn't they? Lazy bunch. World class trophy-laden teams and players are playing every match, arsene's boys are resting against next season. I told y'all you needed to loan a coach. Your players are obviously better than Birmingham's. |
Nice thread |
Whatever might have been before, God has made a way and since the days of John baptist, the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force. God has not left us without a witness, we have no excuse. |
Well, Jesus counted His followers. He knew the one that was lost and the ones that were not. He even sometimes counted the multitude that followed Him. A good Shepherd ought to know the number of his sheep, but he should as well watch against pride, conceit or worldliness coming into his actions. God knows even the number His people even to the number of hair that His own possess. |
OP You're being hypocritical, make no mistake we're not making the same point at all. What i posted just brought you out of your shell. Stop misquoting scripture to say 'let every man be persuaded in his mind'. anyone can misquote that to any issue. |
LOL @ zikky typing with tongue in cheek. Even the OP sef prime 'sunspet'. @OP I believe giving tithe in whatever form/kind and whichever testament/dispensation is not the same as giving alms. If you pity people and think they deserve better as God's servants, i think there're many ways to help them. The 'Spirit' of tithing is not a well i've paid my dues i'm free thing. It's a teaching, a discipline/discipling, a culture of giving and generosity. A believer belongs 100% to God. You become merely religious to think some percent is for God, and the rest for you. You're meant to be 'dead' by the way. At the end of it all, there's no formula i'll give save a search for the leading of God's Spirit, for whatever is not of faith is sin. |
Abraham's relationship with Hagar was fornication. It was outside marriage and God didn't approve of it. It cut Abraham's fellowship with God for 13years and God didn't regard hagar's child as Abraham but as the bondwoman's. That's according to the Bible anyway, not according to Kunle&Joe's dictionary, or that musl.m guy's theology. |
Talk about lazy people breaking strides in the name of rest. |
So i might actually have to vote after all? |
And David probably had the permission of errr, himself? James 3v17? |
Emmmmm, hia too, i hope to contribute? |
Emmmmm, i still get reply for hia |
Even Abraham and David knew themselves that they had sinned, so its most inconsequential if some fingers decide today to type some cogic about them. |
@inedi i don't just 'feel' what i said, i know what i said. i don't exactly want to say this but not everything is in the Bible. Like the law of gravity, or Newton's law, or Charles' law, they are not in the Bible. but they are true to experience,'common sense' and do not contradict the Bible. People give testimonies all the time. You see a sinner(i'll call it more specifically as 'unbeliever' is more general) shout the name of Jesus at night when evil spirits are 'pressing him' and they depart. You see sinners close to death, like a car accident and they pray and God saves them. You see sinners give testimony of favour after they prayed before going for an interview or a proposal. You see sinners getting healed, experience supernatural breakthrough and financial provisions because they prayed. I think it should be more emphasised now that people shouldn't mistake answers to prayers for righteousness. Righteousness gets one to Heaven, which is the ultimate. But faith is what is required to receive from God, not exactly righteousness. And God has given to EVERY man a measure of faith. It depends on you what you do with your own measure. If you still insist on Bible passages sha, i'll give them later |
and why would He? |
God is not boxed into our theology. He hears every prayer, it's another matter to answer every prayer in the 'yes' mode. He's another a merciful God and we've seen Him deliver even the vilest of sinners when they cried out to Him. Of course, the most important prayer an unbeliever(i.e a sinner) should pray is for forgiveness and repentance. That's what gives him/her the ultimate, eternal life. As an asides, let me add that the Jo's quote from John9 are not the words of Jesus as may be assumed seeing it in red. |
Where is that Joagbaje? i know you saw my previous post, and you've since posted on another thread. Are you again proving to be a liar and a false accuser after the pharisaic order? |
Joagbaje Let me be extra clear on this because i know your mouth is as smooth as butter. When you say you CAN'T COUNT the number of times image123 has sinned on this forum against Christ and His church, are you saying you CAN'T see any such instance, or that there are numerous/many times i've sinned against Christ and His church on this forum? If it is the latter, please i ask you(not for the first time) to point just 2or 3instances to me. Are you 'ignorantly' an accuser of the brethren? |
Jo, stop playing with the nail. When does God forgive a christian that commits sin, is it if he/she prays for forgiveness OR before? |
mazaje, are the witches in finland hunting after you? |
Yes, he/she can, if he/she has faith. That's quite an irony se? |

@OP Errr,, maybe they don't understand what they're saying? |
'freewill' does not put eternal life in man's hand instead of God's, neither does it make God helplessly dependent on man. Freewill is given us by God to make man partners together with God in the fulfilment of His ultimate plans. God's ultimate plans will definitely be fulfilled whether man cooperates or not. But man's cooperation makes it smoother, sweeter, more accomplishing and most rewarding. It's why we're created in His image. Man's non-cooperation makes it unsavory, and will bring punishment instead of reward for man. I'll come back to the OP next i hope, but i'm not contemplating a reply to that Luther piece. That's prof. Martin Luther, i'm just kindergaten. And by the way, he's not here to answer for himself. I'll post more later |
