FreddyKruger:You are on a mission of no return. Happily for me I am not on that mission with you. I wish I could say bon voyage but it will be ill bliss. So i wish you quick recovery and re-direction. Also change your moniker unless you want the fate of Freddy Kruger. |
Aniwhyte:Why throwing your ... into the bin Infact u want to be ... Kai, wisdom is profitable |
FreddyKruger:Who is this pikin You no fit original self Na Freddie kruger name u dey impersonate No work U quote everything strike through U read am so Which reasonable person will bear Freddy kruger U alright aye I'm sure I joined NL before u knew about it (trying hard not to answer you as you deserve, trying) Without us, Seun won't have NL. Seun is a mature dude who did not make those comments, it's interestingly boring guys like u that make people question his control over NL And yes I created mine years ago and we are civil. Join us when u qualify #saynotofolly |
vaca1:Thanks oh please The thing weak me no be small. Such objectification of parts of women and even men's bodies But mostly women IS WHAT IS MAKING PEOPLE DO PLASTIC SURGERIES, BODY ENHANCEMENT AND USE EXCESSIVE AND CRAZY COSMETICS. How does not having a firm b.reast make someone have low self esteem? Is it the person's fault? I was on a queue in a bank when the lady infront of me while chatting with all of us said she did not like tall men, like the one we saw behind us. He had to bow his head to pass the door. I was like, na him say make him tall? Person short, dark, small, dumb, blind, no be him fault. Why can't we and everyone accept who we are? There is NO ONE SINGLE PERSON with a perfect body, quote me any where. Let's kick against this awkwardness Starting on NL |

ceometromedia:I beg make we dey look our friends and family for house advice them before they comot go out now. And make we dey tell them the truth. I beg no go out they test yourself or your choice na. Why wear a dress that shows your petticoat as in this 17th picture now. Imagine going out unintentionally without zipping your fly and no one tells you and Outside people laff u die? When u reach house na to fight everybody wey see u waka pass talk nothing. I beg no dey shy or fear to correct your loved ones on your fashion choices- hair, jewelries, dressing and shoes and all that. It is not judging it is loving |
NgeneUkwenu:My sister please tell him, especially that DrinkLimca dude that keeps writing nonsense and derogatory comments. 1. This forum has moderators and an owner, they can ban him. Seun cleverly put the disclaimer at the end of the page to avoid and evade law suits by callous people. Yes I said it callous. 2. There is freedom of speech but not freedom of defamation or freedom to make lewd, derogatory comments. 3. Who am I to judge? Yes this is what is killing the society faster than cancer. Everyone claims to have the right to say or do and undo what they like and nobody can say and do anything because we have rights. Your right ends where another person's rights start. You do not have the right to be callous, lawless, immoral, lewd or abusive. 4. There are rules to life, to games, to schooling and even eating. How can you observe rules in football, ludo or chess and question rules to life? 5. In life whether Africa or Asia or America there is the unwritten bundle of rules on etiquette, morality, finesse and personal space. 6. Seun and co, no one be it nwa whoever or drink whatever should have the right or access to mess up and desecrate this forum because it's public and they have data and a device! 7. Truly if we reasonable people, yes you and I who agree that what I am stating is a fact should leave nairaland.com Seun and co would not be happy, no more traffic, no more whatever else he and co are benefiting. The presence of people always dictate the pace of things (as an aside that's why Nigeria no dey progress, we are not standing end masses in unity against the poor state of the nation). Why have we complained about many members of this forum and how they act and comment and nothing is done? They may change their monikers or have multiple accounts but that's not a problem. Ban them all. Many people have been banned at one time or the other, no one was murdered or committed suicide. Seun is delicate with some people and some statements and even threads, but he does nothing about strange people like Nwa and Drink-whatever who irritate and tear out people’s eyes with gory and vulgar comments. People have become so unloving, insensitive and disrespectful and it's creeping out of virtual social media and entering the physical society. It's not who we are. We are people of culture, compassion, sense and human reasoning. #saynotocrappycomments #kickagainstnonworkingmods #endinsensitivityandfolly |
wellmax:No sir it's not a Nigerian plane, look at the inscription on the plane it's Arabic |
I think it's high traditional rulers and religious and elder statesmen from those groups and regions- Edo, Igbo and Yoruba should also speak up like the way the Sultan and others do for their people. Jonathan never condoned with ... |
What language do you think all these people will be speaking at this meeting? Hmm, we have Yoruba man, Efik man, Ibibio man, Hausa man, Ikwerre man, Igbo man... So i guess English! I am not a fan of English (i rejected studying it as a course when I could not get my desired course in my desired university at my desired time) I have never been to England I do not pledge loyalty to the queen Nor do i claim allegiance to colonialism or neo colonialism But see now, they cannot speak Yoruba here now Can they speak Igbo here Or can they converse in Hausa Even pidgin they no go fit Why then do i get disturbed and attacked when I travel to any part of Nigeria and can't speak their language? The worst places are places with the 3 dominant languages in Nigeria. It irks and irritates me. We who do not belong to any of the 3 are not minority or sub human or sub Nigerian now I am trying but I don't know if I have the gift of languages, why do people show great hostility and lack of hospitality in those places with the 3 largely spoken languages in Nigeria? I ask those who are Yoruba that serve or get transferred to the East if they learnt Igbo and they can even spit at the idea. I ask Hausa/Fulani in the West if they can speak Yoruba and they turn their faces in disgust at the question. I ask the Igbos who stay in the West (and who may understand Yoruba a little) why they don't speak Yoruba and they curse and swear and quarrel. I give up. When people ask me about my tribe, I say I am a Nigerian. If that does not suffice, walk away permanently. Don't be deceived majority of Nigerians do not believe in one Nigeria and it's getting worse. Even among those who inter marry it is chaotic i tell you. # think Look for the old song, Lingua franca by Evi Edna Ogoli, you will stop asking the unnecessary question of, where are you from? Do you understand so so so language |
Thank God for His mercies over my life and those of my family members. I have cause to travel often. Sometimes my trips cut across the country in short periods. Just on another thread I wondered at the awesomeness of God in my life when I passed Asa dam road in Ilorin only to hear of a man plunging into the river. Now i am reading about a bus accident on road i ply often Ondo/Ore! I pray God to comfort the family, grant speedy recovery to the son and mercy on the late DPO. God help me and protect me in all my trips, going out and coming in, in Jesus name, amen. Psalm 91:16 is my prayer for everyone |
The Coal City state- one of my own I give hand to all the electorates oh You na wehdone |
Book reading and signing are not popular among many Nigerians. I have been to a few and it's a wonderful experience seeing the authors and interacting with everyone. Big shout out to Femi fairchild and all Atmosphere peeps. We here in my little space will be organising a film show and book reading of The Pilgrim's Progress. We are all invited ![]() Make a mention if you want details, location, date and time. It's for a limited number ![]() |
You see how we take things for granted? Lord God Almighty i stand in awe of You. I thank You continually for always protecting and helping me in Your mercy, amen. |
Let's do well to watch that last clip She said she will continue on her own youtube channel and she's calling on everyone who likes her show and wants her to continue to sponsor it even with $2 per month. She is based in New York and really the show requires finance for research, recording and editing. Now addressing some comments above, 1. She was not seeking popularity or recognition in the show but was being a political and social activist. Her ideals go beyond her person. People like her do not limit their aims to themselves but seek to sow such good seeds in what they advocate for in like minds and potential minds. 2. Mugabe ought to be challenged. It's good to respect people whether young or old. But as a journalist you have only a few seconds to say what you have to before the politician walks away or other journalists ask their questions. Mugabe had no right to be offended. It's typical of Africa to use age and respect to cover the issues on the table. 3. From her programmes i have come to the awareness that the issue of dictatorship within democratic governments in Africa is rampant and nauseating and should and must be challenged. Such can be done by sensitization, writing, speaking out, etc. This she has done. 4. She talks too much as some said is probably because unlike Dr damages she has a shorter time, too much information and passion for her job. Go and ask those your university dons who could teach straight 4 hours impacting knowledge. Ok this is it for now. I will miss her show and i hope I can follow her on her youtube channel. Sahara is trying. Just like all those in Aso Rock leaking memos ![]() If not how we for dey know many revelations wey we dey get every week ![]() PS Her show inspired me in charity |
potbelly:This your last point makes me weep in my mind. Last year going to Keffi we were driving confidently when we hit that road, public road oh, governor turn am to personal road to im house. We saw the police and did not even bother telling them anything. We just turned and took the other road. Kogi shares border with over 7 states, the highest in the country if I am not mistaken. I have friends from different parts of Kogi and they are all cool, calm, intelligent and hardworking people. Kogi has the most natural resources second to Benue if not 1st i suppose. I don't know if you can travel to north, south, east or west (with exceptions to other routes such as Jebba and Nsukka) without going through any part of Kogi. What a mess we have in Nigeria. How did we get here? Many of us want to stay in Nigeria but things are not getting better generally. Many people or a couple of people have made it well for themselves in terms of employment, family and personal infrastructure like owning boreholes, generators, and other alternatives to what government ought to provide. But when you move around what do you see and hear? Unpaid salaries, insecurities, joblessness, poor educational facilities, dilapidated health centres, corrupt leaders, political lies, poor foreign diplomacy, religious bigotry, tribal wars, silly entertainment trends, sickening stories of sexual immorality, choices, fashion, music, relationships and money. We need help oh. No man, no human, no system or structure can help us ONLY GOD ALMIGHTY, THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD BY THE WORKING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN HELP US. Any way as for me, it's long I knew this world is not my home. Not Nigeria, USA, Qatar, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, or where now, really where? |

I read this and I almost fell off my seat But sadly I'm in a bus so i can't get space to fall Buhari, Buhari, Buhari I wish I could have kept my word concerning Buhari There was a country |
Practising good makes perfect good not bad There are many irresponsible adults who never put off childishness. Sadly childhood goes hand in hand with foolishness. So we see babies putting everything in their mouths. We see toddlers asking a million questions. We see young children dismantling electronics, toys and things to know what's inside. But if an adult still puts sand in his mouth as food, that one is no longer foolishness but madness. A parent has a duty to guide the child in the way he should go so the child will be wise. God be with devoted parents. #sacrifice |
Cladez:While growing up i was told by someone who smokes not to smoke. I have never smoked. Is it because of that advice? Tell me? But what I know is that, our decisions are for our own good. So even a father tells his son to down 10 mugs of beer, if he likes, let him do because he is obeying his father. But it is his liver and kidneys that will bear the burden. The resistance to sickness and consequences differ in every man. Mr. A smoking, drinking and clubbing is no reason that trend won't kill Mr B if he follows suit. #a_word |
