You've been barred from using google, your site doesn't have the required views per day, copyright contents... If you've ever applied to some of these contextual ads programs you will know what I mean(esp d new bloggers). First things 1st, a lot of us rush to monetize our sites when its way below standards. Ask yourself this simple question: in the professional world, the efforts I have put into my site will I pay some1 else if he does same? Definitely NO! Ok what's the way forward, assuming none of these schemes are working. Try getting related private companies advertise on your site. But of course you must have your statistics to show for it. |
For barely one month I engaged in professional blogging, I have been confronted with numerous challenges and I think it is the same for every new blogger out there. The blogging market has become so flooded and uncomfortable that if you are not determined and passionate as a newbie, you won't stand the test of time. First a lot of bloggers go into blogging without a plan. I guess the only plan they have is the million streaming into their accounts when they activate adsense(I am not an exception, that was why I started blogging three years ago). The key thing to any job is passion. You are as good as dead in any field if you don't have the passion. Having an idea doesn't mean you have the passion. Until your desire becomes an obsession, you can't achieve it. A lot of Nigerian bloggers do not have the passion for what they do. That's why plagiarism has become a problem. I also see a lot of bloggers visit sites and nairaland asking for adds. Yes it is very good(I almost did it), but truth is most of these guys have crapped or copied contents. Also they want you to like and comment on their blogs but they won't on yours. They want to eat their cakes and still have it. I could go on and on explaining the above points... Believe me, this job is harder than ever before, from getting you first view to becoming recognised it's a long way. If you are not cut out for it, delete that blog and get a job today. |
rilwayne27: i don't have money to host it even i just want to use it to earn money for some time i will soon create another one by my selfDude it doesn't work that way. You must give something to get sumtin. If u want money from that blog, you should be able to invest your time(sleepless nights). Although m barely 1month in professional blogging with absolutely no money(hehehe). I must say if u want to stand out, blogger or wordpress, u must be creative, unique, and dedicated. Else oga go find anoda job. www.9jafrikfashion. |
With the current blog trend in Nigeria, I doubt if anything is original... I dey fear 4 my own blog sef. Una dey spoil pple caRrier. |
I never said it's about your pregnancy. What I did say is that ladies like you, if asked would attest their fishy behaviour and mood swings down to hormonal changes induced by pregnancy. Okay tell me something...do you have a job? i.e do you work for an employer? And if you do, do you argue with them the way you argue with your husband? No? I guessed as much. That's even by the way. You're pregnant. The last thing you need is the stress caused by an argument. You aren't a child so why not quit the bickering with your hubby? Secondly, and most importantly, what on earth could you be arguing about, that could be so bad as to warrant your husband leaving home for weeks on end? Do you not know that sometimes, words hurt even more than being physically hit? One can heal from physical wounds, but the emotional wounds inflicted by a caustic tongue such as your may never heal. Yes, it's normal to have disagreements, but not the sort of arguments you've described here as normal to heavy. You dey even grade your arguments! Having said that, you still haven't answered the questions I posed you. Did you guys date before tying the knot and saying "I do"?? I don't have to go back and do a sentence-by-sentence analysis of your story, nor do I need to twist your words. It's simple enough to deduct that you argue like a shrew, hence your hubby can't withstand it from you and disappears. FACT.
Oga u mumu sha o... U dey talk like small pikin. @Op, I don't knw wat to advice. Get a gun and shoot him in d head. My mum and dad argue a lot but I av never taken sides. I view things from both persons perspective and come to a logical conclusion. The major cos of argument is lack of communication and understanding btw couples and humans generally. Before you argue, try and see things in the other persons view. If u "think" u are right den prove ur point. Its an argument, not a fight. Arguments are meant to bring pple to a point of mutual compromise or total change. We Africans take tinz too personal, including me. |
Hello webmasters I just started a new blog, the idea has been in my mind for abt 3yrs nw bt av bin reluctant. Anyways, I started sumtin. Kindly help me review d blog, idea and concept. And pls suggest ways I can improve it. |

akintayo1: Have you deleted the blog? I followed the link you gave but "Blog not found".Yes... Sometime last night I did. I found a way thru d problem. Created a new blog with the same name and transferred all d posts to the new blog. I edited d template a lil bit b4 I posted. The blog is ok now. |
felixchip: When you Login to your blogger dashboard, go to settings, then, to posts and comments and go to show at most and ener 999999.Thanks Felix... I think what you meant applies to an infinite number of posts being able to show on my homepage. For now the maximum number has been set to 7 but its only 1 post per page. As in every new post I make stands alone. U need to click the older post link to be able to see other posts. I don't knw if u get what I mean. U can check d blog @ 9jafrikfashion..com. Its still very new and I don't want to go on posting if I can't fix dis issue. Meanwhile, thanks a lot. |
akintayo1: consider your audience before you do this, they will have to scroll eternity down to view your post. Thanks Tayo... I have already considered that. Each post is displayed on a separate stand alone page. The only link between then is the "older posts" and "newer posts" button. I want all my posts to be displayed on a single home page, or at least 10 posts per page, not 1. Personally, I won't spend a second on a blog that requires me to keep clicking the older post link. |
Hell o guys please I have this issue with my blog site... I want all my posts to show on one page instead of the "new post" and "older post" links. Can't figure out how to do it. Any1 have an idea? Thanks. |
Policewoman: My dad can do that and even more.Who b ur papa? Lol |
Yes I am. U could reach me here: thatssewnaija@gmail.com
Sent you a mail onnari... Expecting your reply. |
maven1: Thanks alot! I don‘t intend on letting it interfare with my studies... Just want to balance them 2gether! Don‘t know how possible that is... And thanks again! It is very possible, and of course the best way to start. Some of the successful entrepreneurs I have met started while in school. In school you have a great audience to influence and market your products to. School also provides an excellent platform to fail and TRY AGAIN. I can boldly say that the sessions I got myself involved in other activities, my results were better in school. In summary, start up small. It may not necessarily be in your 100level because you need a solid foundation(dats if the skul uses ur 100l result as the case is in mine). Pick a chunk at a time.... C u @ d top. Hope dis helps |
Onarri over a year later m back again in search of u... We need to talk dis time. Lol. U just seem to be d right person to talk to, don't knw y... U on bbm? Ejooor. |
It's a very nice idea, but don't let your fashion to hinder your school. You may have the passion and plans but in our society today, a certificate is an added advantage. M not into fashion per say, or I am into it but as an entrepreneur. I blog and hopefully looking for partners to work with on my ideas. Will be graduating next year by Gods' grace... So for now, I advice you take lessons for some months on fashion. There are several fashion academies before you get your admission. While in school, design what you wear, market what you wear and keep improving... I think that's the best way. Hope dis helps, thanks. |
Sentiments apart! This is really crazy! How &Why should Policemen shoot at students?? Even in d intense turkey protests, de (Policemen) didn't shoot at citizens..talkmore of innocent students!! The Trigger-happy Policemen should be brought to Jusice! Nairaland English & blah-blah-blah apart!! This is outrageous!! On the students part!! Paying ₦200 daily on fares didn't warrant d protests, ur sch SUG shld hv resolved dat amicably wit the school authorities, now 3 students wit bright future's in this crazy country re Dead!! If Uniuyo students are complaining of ₦200 daily as fares rate, Those in Private institution's nkor?? *sighs!!
There is no comparison between the private and federal or state universities. People in private uni(s) are there because they can afford it. On the other hand, some of the persons in public uni(s) have to train themselves. #200, excluding what they have to eat is too much. In University of Ibadan, I think there was a protest that transport should be #10 as opposed to the normal #20. It ended in between #15. And about the SUG settling things, do you think that option wasn't attempted? Some of these VC(s) are out to frustrate people. The right of the Nigerian student has been trampled upon because they threaten u with student disciplinary committee. |
nacosprof: Waooo what a prudent act der, i also need a luvly lady out der 4marriage..AM 4M EDO STATE OF NIGERIA, U CAN REACH ME ON..08182725083Mumu... No go find work make u get money. |
Napolitano: I think you really need to specify what you want. Facebook is a social network. Wordpress is for blogs.A blog site that can allow users registration and updates. But nothing close to facebook in terms of functionality. |
Thanks pure guide... Checked out all the sites u listed. They have pretty much the same css layout. I just want to know if I can get something close to facebook using wordpress. I am a designer myself, don't want to venture into a project I can't finish. |
Hello guys, I know there are very great and experienced web masters here. I need advice as I am about to start a blog/website. I have wordpress in mind though, bt I want to find out if it allows for users registration and can I get sumtin close to facebook, using wordpress or any other design platform? ogugua88: I hate the act of flogging. My dad flogged us when we were younger and I always found it stupid and heartless. It was very saddening and I believed my father didn't love my siblings and I. Sometimes I think back now that I'm adult, and I see no reason for any of it. I can't attribute any good thing that I am to flogging. You are on your own... I just can't believe Nigerians are impaired in reasoning. I can count the number of times my dad beat me mercilessly. I can't count the number of times my mum flogged me. Yet in all of that, I am way better. U can't compare the morals of a child that was flogged to those that were not. Flogging is the only way. It has been from the beginning and will always be. Take our fore fathers for example. Do u agree that the world is gradually loosing it norms and values? Before now divorce was a shame, same sex marriage was also a shame. Now pple are proud to say they have divorced 5 times or push for same sex marriage. 1c you leave ur roots, you become confused. Wo, I dey beat my cousin and after that I tell him y I do so. So you better shine your eye... Before you start regretting. |

With regards to being immune to bullets, I totally agree with that. I have had cousins and uncles who cudnt be killed by bullets. |
Funny enough a friend and her sis just referred to me as weird last night. This thread is absolutely true. I av stayed in my house for weeks without going out. As long as I have my phone, bis, and food network(dstv), m all good. Don't really fancy parties and 2many friends or even talkative. Op, u nailed it |
Looking at this critically. I never heard the story, so I don't know what happened. But for 8 or 9 people to have connived to kill someone, it's either the police man was a nuisance(very wicked) or he was too good. Also, I think the laws of the country should be reviewed. We have mispaced priorities in delivering judgement. |
